It is common for all these to happen once you're an Igbo in Nigeria, so nobody is surprised
The thing that surprises is how some non Igbos were celebrating his arrest on Twitter saying they know of his tax fraud and money laundry baffles me but God will judge all of them Didnt know it was only Igbos that EFCC arrested. Now I know... |

SIRTee15: Nobody is paying in ruble. EU is still paying in euros and will continue to do so. Gazprom wasn't sanctioned by EU so the Russian edict is useless. EU will pay gazprom in euros, it's left for the Russian bank to change it to rubles or whatever and pay Putin. It's a meaningless law, just some useless political point for Putin just like his pyrrhic battles in Ukraine.
Besides Putin can't just shut off the gas pipeline like it's tap water. He can’t keep oil and gas from coming out of the ground without capping wells, and storage capacity will get filled very fast if shipments stop cold, and then what what next?
And unlike what some ignorant pro putin are saying, he can't immediately switch to China or any other country such huge volumes. Russia has no pipeline to China or India. Putin will be stupid to stop 60 percent of his budget revenues. How then will he fight his meaningless war?. He's bluffing! Even the EU is bluffing too. The EU needs that gas as much as Russia needs that money. |

Your identity makes no difference to the issue we are discussing, you claiming to be Igbo neither add nor remove anything. A secular state is registered as an Islamic country, and has a sharia law which is practiced as against the constitution of the Land and you see no problem with that. Bro you are not an Igbo man, do you know how many Christians that were rendered jobless at Kano because of sharia law? Only Kano? Why did they enthrone sharia law because Nigeria is registered as an Islamic State. Tanko is even of the view that sharia law should be used all over the country. Wike mentioned that River state is a Christian state, and hell was loose, every Muslim was causing him, reminding him how Nigeria is a secular state. Your religion has done more harm to our economy. I am not talking of insecurity havoc which it has caused and is still causing, why can't we raise alarm, the whole of North Africa were Christians until Islam gradually approached, just like they are doing now with Boko Haram, Fulani killer herdsmen, bandits, ISWAP etc. Call a spade a spade, Benue state is now suffering it, they are even capturing towns and villages and renaming them with Islamic names. You wrongly referred to me as a northerner, that's the reason I introduced my identity, remember? You even proceed now to impress it that I'm Muslim; now I'm not sure whether to just view that as childish or just a silly outburst from someone desperate for an argument.... Whether you believe I'm Igbo or not, that's absolutely irrelevant and inconsequential to my existence, i.e. what you believe here neither adds nor takes anything from me. So feel free to believe whatever you please. Now back to the topic... All along we've been debating the membership of OIC, not sharia. I'm not sure why or how you've drifted towards sharia (probably as I inferred earlier, you're just looking for something to argue about)... OIC membership isnt the reason people practice sharia in parts of Nigeria and OIC membership doesnt negate the fact that roughly 50% of Nigeria's population are still Christians. I never told you I supported sharia, especially in a secular state. For what it's worth, the practice of sharia has negative effects which impact on the freedom of Nigerians and which can impact my personal freedom if I choose to travel to those enclaves. On the contrary, Nigeria being a member of the OIC affects no one, except insecure people just spoiling for a pointless inter-religious contest. But finally it's up to you; feel free to continue bothering yourself over mundane things such as OIC membership which has existed probably before you were even born. |

Nigerian problem stern from the very fact that a secular state is registered as a member of OIC. Northern states now have sharia law as constitution governing them. This very fact is the reason why Nigeria is like this, terrorism everywhere, just look at how this very religion holds Nigeria at ransom. Islam is the problem of Nigeria because you northerners hold it at finger tips and it's tenet is archaic and inhumane. If I attended Kings College Lagos, University of Benin for BSc and University of Abuja for MSc, there's no law that says I cant join the alumni groups of all 3 institutions if I so wish. Roughly half of Nigeria's population are Muslims, I dont see anything wrong if Nigeria chooses to be a part of the OIC given the population of Muslims in Nigeria. Being a member of OIC doesnt mean all Nigerians are Muslims, it doesnt undermine my rights to be of any religion I choose and neither does it stop Nigeria from being a member of organisation of Christian countries (if anything like that exists). And by the way, I'm not a northerner and neither am I a Muslim. I'm a southerner, a full blooded Igbo man and a Christian; but I just wouldnt bother myself with mundane things that neither adds nor takes away value from my life, and I see no reason you should make that be your problem too. Bothering myself with Nigeria's membership of Oic or fighting it in any way doesnt impress Christ in any way. That's just a pointless inter-religious contest fuelled purely by bigotry. If you claim the Muslims in Nigeria hold onto some archaic traditions which breeds problems across Nigeria, how does playing the same archaic intolerant game make you any better than them? |

Nigeria donated as a member of OIC not a secular state. If you are truthful to yourself, the donation is not the problem but does it follow due process ? No With this donation as a member of OIC, does it mean that Nigeria is now an Islamic State? You people were crying foul when Wike called River state a Christian state, a state that does not have up to 2% moselm. Nigeria that is 50 50 is registered as Islamic State, why will it be so? Donated as a member of OIC and so what?... OIC called for humanitarian help for Afghanistan and Nigeria donated; how is that a problem that affects you?.... Of the myriad of problems we have as a nation, ask yourself this honest question, how exactly has the membership of OIC in the past 30 years negatively affected your life or existence? Does Nigeria being a member of the OIC take away the air you breathe? Does it stop you from practicing any religion you want to practice? Does it give you a tag as a Muslim? ... Does it stop Nigeria from being a member of Organisation of Christian Nations (if anything like that exists)?.... Is there any right or privilege the membership of OIC takes away from you? Heck! Is there anything at all it takes away from you on this planet? Why is it such a huge problem to you? Isnt this just religious intolerance? For crying out loud, Nigeria can be the member of any damn organisation it wants to belong to as long as it doesnt impact on my rights. What exactly is your problem with OIC membership and do you care to explain what you keep repeating about "not following due process"? Or did PMB steal the money he donated? |

That BPP has approved a proposal is a very dumb reason for anyone to expect the president to just sign it off without question. Afterall, all the inflated and fraudulent contracts which have come to be traditional occurrences in Nigeria, the BPP also approves them. |
