Igbofam:The countries laying sanctions upon sanctions upon Russia, you do not think that's breaching of numerous contracts too? |
Freebills12:What does religion have to do with it?... Why does religion have to be a factor to decide which nation can be donated to?.... Nigeria donates to Liberia / Sierra Leone / Guinea in time of need; Nigeria donates to Afghanistan in time of need. Why does the religion of the people of Afghanistan have to be a problem to you? Meanwhile, can you please explain what due process requirement was broken? |
Freebills12:Of course Nigeria donated the money, it was all over the news. But that $1m donated for humanitarian reasons to a war ravaged country isn't the only money left in Nigeria; that $1m also isnt the reason Nigeria is unable to eliminate insecurity, and neither can it scratch the surface to solve the ASUU demand for even 1 tertiary institution. In international policy, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that donation (despite the sentimental noise being made about it purely because an Islamic country is involved). Such donations didnt start with the current administration and wouldnt end with the current administration. While Nigeria may have donated $1m, the same Nigeria receives ove $100 million annually in similar humanitarian donations from other countries and donor agencies. Do you think those countries donating to NIgeria are stupid or do you think they don't have their own internal needs? I called out RENO cos as usual, he's just being dubiously divisive. In 2014 when Reno dined in Aso Rock, ASUU was on strike for almost half the year and Nigerian soldiers fighting in Sambisa repeatedly lamented the lack of bullets. But that same year (2014), the Nigerian govt donated over $3million to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea for the fight against Ebola. I don't remember Reno ever lashing out against the govt then... Reno of course understands foreign policy, but at the same time, also understands the IQ level of the majority of his audience. He simply couldn't pass on the opportunity to use the heads of his gullible followers as a dustbin. |
1nigeriamyfoot:Only a senseless bigot does not understand international policy. The same Nigeria that donated $1m in humanitarian aid to one country receives over $100 million annually in humanitarian aid from different countries and agencies; perhaps those countries donating to Nigeria don't have problems or maybe are just headed by idiots? Anyway I'd be pushing my luck if I expect bigotted ignoramuses to know this. |
GreatAxeMan:You just described your pathetic lineage... Not surprising given the kind of fvckery you've been spweing in this thread. Garbaage only produces garbage... spits! |
Sunnyja:What did Reno say when his boss also donated to other countries in need during his time? |
Freebills12:It's nauseating arguing with people who just want to argue for the sake of it. Like I said before, the OIC set up the afghanistan humanitarian trust fund (AHTF) and appealed for donations to help the people of afghanistan; they've also done this for war ravaged countries like Syria, Yemen, south sudan etc. Being a member of the OIC, Nigeria made a donation of $1m to the AHTF. If it annoys you and you want to ignorantly keep twisting the narrative by tagging it "donation to taliban", please be my guest . https://reliefweb.int/report/afghanistan/oic-secretary-general-welcomes-donation-made-republic-nigeria-humanitarian-trust |
GreatAxeMan:Oga thinks I am Muslim because I cautioned him on mocking victims of terror? Just imagine the moronic reasoning of someone who even dares to tag others 'low IQ' |
Freebills12:Money was donated to an international humanitarian trust fund to help in afghanistan; money wasn't donated to afghanistan govt. The afghan government has no access to the trust. A google search could have saved you this confusion but education seems like a crime to many black men. |
VOICEofORIENTAL:Necessity is the mother of invention, but is the current political situation of sanctioning Russia really a necessity? We can only know this if the EU countries dare to boycott Russian gas and have their citizens surge into the streets in wild and violent protests. At that point, leaders of EU countries would have to re-evaluate their choices on whether sanctions against Russia is really more important than the welfare of their own people. When the protests start, we shall also watch and see whether even the RICH countries can survive it (remember wealth is driven by an energised economy). In a nutshell, Russian gas is an extreme necessity for EU nations today; for now, they have no viable alternatives, not Norweigian gas, not Algerian gas, not Nigerian LNG, nothing is sufficient to match Russian gas, and the economy of the EU is highly dependent on gas (which of course is mostly from Russia). Leaders of EU countries know this too well; reason why they aren't willing to play with fire. |
Freebills12:Did a google search, the money was given to the Afghanistan Humanitarian trust fund, not the taliban. |
Freebills12:And who says the money was to the Taliban? Did you bother researching this before running here to comment? |
spydera: 1nigeriamyfoot: Jungleluv5: Felixalex: Ayomi90: tommykiwi: Vado:What's the fuss if Nigeria just like several other nations around the globe, donates $1m to a humanitarian trust fund for the people in Afghanistan? Is $1m going to solve all Nigeria's problems? Nigeria has always given humanitarian support to different countries in need running into millions of dollars. Likewise Nigeria also receives humanitarian support annually from different countries running into hundreds of millions of dollars. So what's the noise with the Afghanistan $1m? Cos it's a Muslim country? Meanwhile the RENO who's twisting your minds with these tales, did Nigeria not also have dire security problems and even ASUU strikes in 2014 when his oga GEJ donated $3m to Liberia and Sierra Leone? Did his oga not also have and even buy some of those presidential planes? Nigger just knows how to control gullible minds. |
dre11:An aide of GEJ is the one saying this?... Mental! |
obaaderemi:What else can they say? Under GEJ you die; you demand sack of GEJ and call for a soldier, only for the soldier to turn out being a dead piece of wood worse than GEJ. What do you expect them to do again? Call for GEJ back? Or probably they should have kept quiet and done nothing previously? |
obaaderemi:The OP was simply being stupid for suggesting that a solution to the current problem was for northerners to vote GEJ. |
GreatAxeMan:Who is the 'you'? I live comfortable outside the shores of Nigeria and only just watch you display your mumurity. You mock people suffering from terrorism because of silly political sentiments, it's only a matter of time before you and your loved ones become victims too. Make we dey watch... |
ThEGodFaThEr128:So the smartest suggestion you had for people who were victims of daily terrorism is that they should have been hailing and re-electing GEJ who was busy dancing on a campaign podium few hours after a bomb killed over 90 people at a bus park in Abuja?... Its obvious say all of una dey mental.... ![]() |
GreatAxeMan:Yes you can continue laughing at victims of terror but you only expose your imbecility by doing so. You lost a damn election, live with it! |
GreatAxeMan:It's extremely stupid to mock victims of terror for opting to try someone else when they realised that the leader then (GEJ) was an epitome of incompetence with respect to their security. Maybe if you lost family members during that era and had supporters of the govt claim the deaths were fake (like what's happening today also), you wouldn't stupidly be mocking victims of terror who chose to reject GEJ then. |
GreatAxeMan:This is actually stupidity. During the time of Ebele, terrorists were also thriving; bombing and killing people from central Abuja to Kaduna to Sokoto to Kano and not to mention the entire north east. Thousands of people were dying everyday in the hands of terrorist, same as it's happening today. Apparently with the Nyanya bombing, the eagle square bombing, the bombing of Churches every christmas, the bombing of Thisday HQ in Abuja, the bombings in Kaduna and Kano, the lives taken in those bombings didnt matter to you as long as Ebele remained president. To you, those who protested the cluelessness of Ebele didnt have the right to do so given that their lives didnt matter? If your smart solution to the menace prior to 2015 was for the people directly facing that carnage to re-elect Ebele, despite his obvious incompetence in handling the security situation, then your head really needs to be checked. Seeing that the govt then was clueless, if you think the people affected by the terrorism then didnt have a right to try something different, then your head really needs rewiring. It's obvious you dont care about the people dying, you only care about your candidate winning an election, and that makes you nothing short of a wild beast. You're clearly no different from the animals taking those lives. |
The amount of propaganda in this war don pass ipob own |
VOICEofORIENTAL:Lol... There's no pipeline or transport system in place to get the required volume of gas from the Gulf to Europe. If there was any alternative to Russian gas, the EU would have boycotted Russia decades ago. |
VOICEofORIENTAL:Some people actually think gas can be grown on trees. Please can you explain the options the EU has? |
00FFT00:Nigeria is a unique situation. Even if we go out on the streets in protest, the govt wouldnt need to do anything; just give it a few days and the protesters would turn on each others over the most mundane things. So yeah, you may be right to say |
BKayy: Loewe:You guys have said it all... if the gas stops flowing, Europe's economy (including that of Russia) would take an unprecedented fall. Citizens across Europe will surge into the streets demanding their leaders stop playing politics with their lives. |
YorobaPIGS:Like I said before and will say again until you get into your thick tribal skull, there is nothing in the Abolore tweet that proves he made the tweet because the girl was Igbo. What you posted above isnt Abolore's tweet which this thread focuses on. Of course several stupid tribalists like yourself (but from the Yoruba stock) wouldnt fail to capitalise on the issue to express their stupidity, but the point being made here is that there's no evidence to prove the Abolor tweet falls in that category. Several others also made mocking remarks on that tweet yesterday, including igbos. |
YorobaPIGS:I'm sorry but all the curses you just placed are for you and your family. Enjoy your madness with your folks. Like I said before and will say again. I not a fool to make assumptions without clear evidence. There was nothing explicitly in that tweet from the abalore fellow that proves he doubted her claims just because she was Igbo. Several others (including Igbos) on twitter also doubted her claim yesterday and some were stupid enough to make insensitive mocking remarks calling it clout chasing; of course they've all run back to delete their tweets. |
unmask:I believe those twisting it into a tribal thing are just tribalist desperately seeking justifications for their actions. |
DarkJeddi:Yes the tweet was insensitive and stupid, but there's nothing about it that proves he made it because the girl was Igbo. I just went on twitter and noticed several people (just like the fellow I quoted) have turned the while thing into a tribal episode. |
DrGoodman:Oh please! Can you shove this nonsense victim mentality trash in the bin already. What has the tweet got to do with tribe for Christ sake? Several people doubted the girls tweet yesterday (including Igbos); many called it 'clout chasing'. And now for some persons to turn it into a tribal hate issue? What's really wrong with our reasoning in this country? |
Safety first! No one wants to be the victim of terrorists... |
