8 months is more than enough time for Labour Party to gather momentum and for Obi's name to spread. Also, 8 months is more than sufficient time for disgruntled members of PDP and APC to decamp to LP; and there surely would be numerous disgruntled members of APC from tomorrow.

Do you think Tinubu will finance APC if he's denied the ticket tomorrow? Do you think Wike will finance Atiku's campaign? These 2 fellows are possibly the biggest financiers of both parties

Clinton lost with a very tiny margin. That tiny margin can be filled up for Obi if the right things are done.

The strongest hand you can get is a man who genuinely means well, has a stubborn and unflinching resolve, and who has the requisite intelligence required to actualise his plans in a complex country like Nigeria where the corridors of power are always littered with rogues.

Not even sure I know what to wish for in this APC primaries. If APC picks a consensus candidate like Lawan, that would be a good thing for the south and the Obi movement.

All it takes for an insignificant regional party to be a national party is a growing support from the people.... Elections are in 2023, still very far away. There's still more than sufficient time for that regional party to explode into a national party. Again, all that is needed is the growing support from the people.

When influential political bigmen and moneybags see the little party is gathering momentum, they will join the bandwagon and bolster the small party. A lot of powerful politicians have been frustrated by the PDP primary results; many more will certainly be frustrated and disgruntled by the APC primaries in 2 day's time. These disgruntled fellows will look for the next alternative, and with the elections still far away, there's more than sufficient time for political alignments and realignments.... For example, I'm very certain Wike will not be supporting Atiku's election. There will also be many disgruntled politicians within APC in 2 days.

Atiku is a Fulani man; what else could be expected?

If Obi moves to SDP, there may still be a chance. PDP is already a sunken party party.

After the disgruntlements that would follow the primaries, half of PDP and APC would switch to SDP, with powerful resources. With primaries holding in the 2nd quarter of 2022, elections are still really far away so all hope isnt lost yet at SDP being a solid party.

This is sad news, but quite expected.

PDP is all about money politics, share the money etc... and with Obi's frugality (call it tight hands if you like), Obi wouldnt even be allowed to clinch a governorship ticket under PDP.

NIgeria isnt ready yet for people like Obi being at the helm.

While Buhari wasnt my preferred candidate for APC in 2015 (would have preferred a Fashola then), I supported Buhari after he was chosen as flagbearer for just 1 reason; his infamous tyrannical brutality in dealing with thieves in high places. Unfortunately, the man ended up being the most useless and shameless failure in the only area he was expected to thrive.


Now we have a Peter Obi; the one and only thing I extremely admire in Obi is his brutal frugality, which I believe is something Nigeria desperately needs today. Will Obi live up to his reputation or would he be a scam like Buhari? Only God knows.

Really wish the PDP would give their ticket to Obi. I'd gladly vote PDP if that happens!

Theres more to this than meets the eye because theres no way a woman and 4 children will be gunned down in Orumba snd the community will not come out to see what happened, take pictures and put it on social media.

But all we have is a video that could be from anywhere with something that could be dubbed voice. Very strange

Oga, the Video I saw was a very clear cellphone recording with a crowd of people gathered speaking Igbo and the victims still lying fresh in the pool of their blood. Empty bullet shells also littered the floor. The name of the location where the incident happened was also clearly voiced by the person making the video.

Like I said before, I'm not here for any pointless debates; it adds nothing to my life whether you believe it or not. If it makes you feel better with yourself, feel free to keep deluding yourself that this did not happen in Anambra state; also feel free to keeping deceiving yourself that we dont have a clear and present problem in our hands.

In the video I watched, the narrator (speaking in Igbo) mentioned the location as nkwo-agu nanka. I dont keep such videos in my phone, I delete them instantly. It's okay if you want to doubt it; there's no point proving anything to you if you want to deliberately keep living in denial.

Since this news broke, nobody in Anambra has been able to confirm it actually happend, nobody knows the womans name or that of her kids, and the only people reporting it are Newspaper based in the South West such as Tribune and Dailytrust, something is not right here

I can bet with 100% certainty, if you say unkind things about the deity of a traditionalist, they wouldn't pick a knife and start chasing to kill you physically. Rather they'd invoke their gods to spiritually strike you down with sickness or with thunder or something else.

Similarly for Christians, if you insult their God, they'd simply just say their "God would judge you"; or alternatively, if it's the overzealous ones, they might insult you verbally.

But what I do not understand is how in this day and age of civilisation, Muslims 'specifically the Muslims from northern Nigerian', still feel the need to physically fight and slaughter humans for a God they believe to be ALL POWERFUL. Fighting and killing for religion is the sort of barbarism one would have expected about 1000 years ago, not in 2022.

Unfortunately, the delegates who have the responsibility to pick the flagbearer only respond to cash politics. And Obi doesn't seem like the type to throw cash around.
