JAMO84: Most Nigerian Parents will complain of 100k in a year school fees, but when it's time for their children to get married, they will spend 2m on a one day wedding.
Most Nigerian students will enjoy cheap education, when they finally graduate and get a job outside Nigeria with the certificate, they will curse Nigeria on social media for contributing nothing to their development.
EVERYONE SHOULD PAY FOR THE REAL COST OF THEIR TERTIARY EDUCATION, ONLY BASIC EDUCATION SHOULD BE FREE I'm sure that you are one of those agbero drop outs who have been paid to make noise on this platform. One of the millenium development goals by the UN is QUALITY AFFORDABLE EDUCATION. Other countries are working towards making their educational systems accessible to all. Nigeria on the other hand is focusing on making Public education exclusive to the few that have. They are not making any effort to significantly improve the educational facilities or infrastructure. The government is talking about student loans in an economy where there are no jobs. How are graduates expected to repay these loans? Are we not just creating a further debt burden for the country? How can our country improve economically when we are making education more exclusive What's going to happen to the drop outs? Won't it lead to an increase in crime rate? People should learn to think before commenting please. |

So, if VIO or FRSC fines me N5k today for traffic offense, is there any sense in wasting time challenging the order?
Since it’s a forfeiture resulting from a civil case, what’s the point fighting it? Tinubu was already a Senator when the forfeiture order was made against his account. So, it makes more sense to simply allow the civil forfeiture order stand than to keep wasting money on appeal. Same way we all pay VIO and FRSC fine for traffic offense without appeal. Is 460k dollars 5k? What of the damage to his reputation? If he was truly innocent was it necessary to defend his image? |

FreeStuffsNG: Those who think education is expensive should try ignorance.
Now it's clear to everyone that the FG has been hugely subsidising education yet the ungrateful unpatriotic beneficiaries of this heavily subsidized education will immediately transfer the education overseas and still turn around to talk down on Nigeria. Smh. They will lose! You can not cheat Nigeria, Nigerian tax payers and go scot free.
Very soon, these FG schools will be charging cost reflective school fees while indigent students will get loans to pay it. Hardworking, brilliant indigent students will get 100% full scholarship and bond to serve for few years to repay so others behind them can get same scholarship.
The welfarist system of the state drove the nation into monumental debts and widespread multidimensional poverty that produced a largely mediocre set of unpatriotic graduates with entitlement mentality. Imagine generations raised on fuel subsidy, electricity subsidy, education subsidies, health subsidies, free money cash transfer of npower, ponzi schemes, crypto etc, yet spend most time on Twitter, NL and other social media platforms. That's a legion of generations of largely unproductive lot! It is not sustainable anymore as our debts keep mounting and more youths get used to easy and fast money.
Our universities will now be forced to go back to the days people know why they are in school and will face it squarely to come out with great grades. NUC should equally ban federal universities from admitting JAMB candidates who score less than 200. It's ridiculous that UNICAL is admitting JAMB candidates who score 140 How on earth should FG be subsidising the education of a mediocre student who scored 140 out of 400. That's a 35% fail score!
Everyone must do the right thing to return this nation back to her consistent winning ways. Parents will now take parenting serious because the era you born excess hoping that govt will feed, clothe , train and educate them for you is gone. May God bless Nigeria for ever!Check my signature for free stuffs! Is this not the height of man's inhumanity to his fellow man to increase fees to push people to borrow to pay for what they could afford to pay for before? Talking about cost reflective fees is just wickedness. Pray do tell what government has put in place for the welfare of the people now. |

—Agbero don’t declare sit at home like IPOB terrorists
Agberos go to any lengths for owo mi da. I remember one Agbero leader like that who warned Ibos to stay at home on election Day and the Police came out to say he was joking. Agberos are the definition of heartless and shameless.
—Agbero don’t burn houses and hotels of enemies like IPOB terrorists Agberos are well known for gang related violence and cult wars. They are also very fetish.
—Agbero don’t kill pregnant women like IPOB terrorists Agberos are well known members of the underground who are not strangers to blood and violence. They are often used during elections to wreak havoc and violence on opposing parties.
—Agbero leader in Lagos have fantastic children trained at MIT .
This is the height of shamelessness. If this isn't corruption then what is it? How can taxpayers sweat be used to send Agberos children to schools abroad and their father has not been invited to answer questions by the efcc on the source of his income? If he is supposedly working for the government, how much is he paid to be able to afford to send his kids to MIT?
Obi of Onitsha and all SE governors should write to MC Oluomo to come to the East to train IPOB on how to be useful for the state.
There's nothing for SE governors to learn from political thugs and miscreants backed by government. He who lives by the sword will certainly die by the sword if Lagos is serious about ensuring transparency and efficiency in their revenue collections they should borrow a leaf from Alex Otti of the LABOUR PARTY.. |

With the billions generated daily in collections by the state government, it is highly disgraceful that Alaba international road is such a state of disrepair.
This is so sad!
It's just common sense for the government to invest in providing the necessary infrastructure like good roads and electricity as this will boost business and ultimately increase government revenue. |

adioolayi: No let these people bobo us...
I don't think there is any foreign manufacturer in Nigeria that will not gladly pay proposed increase (if true..that's 40% increase allegedly) ... PROVIDED THAT THE ELECTRICITY IS STABLE..
Because, even with the increase, electricity in Nigeria will still be one of the cheapest around the world. You guys don't get it .... Cost of production is already stiflingly high in Nigeria. Multiple taxation, zero infrastructure, little or no access to credit, high level of bureaucracy, corruption etc have already made Nigeria one of the most difficult places to do business in the world that's why MAN is crying out. That's why our manufacturing industry is in the doldrums. Now you choose to increase electricity tariff not guaranteeing steady power supply further increasing their cost of production. This is why Dunlop left Nigeria for Ghana and why we import more than we export. This is also why our domestic rice is not as cheap as imported rice. |

I Understand your pain but Nigeria shall be better in our lifetime. Whether they were together or not.... You can not be asking the people to make sacrifices whilst you are in a 120 car convoy and holding a state banquet. If you want the people to believe in you then you have to lead by example. Shikena. There is a difference between intelligent and intellectual. Look it up. Personal attack is when you are asked simple question as to whether you see 120 car convoys in countries like the US who are 1000 times better than us economically and you respond with the lame and tired diatribe of hatred and bitterness. Oh well! One should not expect you to reason above your level. All you know how to do is to trade childish insults instead of using your intellect to engage in rational discussions. |

Pitto: Sorry if my response is somehow to you.
It is very glaring that President Tinubu was in Lagos for the first time after his victory.
Even if it was either Peter Obi or Atiku as the President visiting his state for the first time such convoy is expected. Simple question.... Would you still hold the same view if it was a 200 car or 500 car convoy? We all know Tinubu is from Lagos and if he wanted to fill a stadium with his supporters he could have arranged that. What is not acceptable is a 124 car convoy of government officials awaiting the arrival of the President on a PERSONAL visit to his home state when his government is asking the masses to make sacrifices and endure difficult measures being implemented for a better Nigeria. This is the height of hypocrisy and fiscal irresponsibility |
