AgamaHub: Can't understand why some of you here just love to hate. This discovery had been made some years back by this Prof, he has been trying to get the attention of the appropriate body like forever. Any persons in the ministry of health claiming not to be aware of the claim is a blatant liar. It's just that we live in a country where things don't work and we don't love to see people grow if its not directly involved with us. trust me, this man is a professor of a federal university, he should know the rules and process of announcing such discovery. If his claims are true, it won't be hidden. The ministry of health will be glad to announce it. They will commission research in tandem with major pharmaceutical companies to develop the product. The minister of health (regardless of what tribe he hails from) would do everything to make the discovery and the subsequent development count as part of his tenure's achievements.
HELL !!!!THE UNIVERSITY AUTHORITIES WILL DO EVERYTHING WITHIN THEIR POWER WITH THEIR FEDERAL MIGHT TO ENSURE THAT THIS NEWS GAINS THE RIGHT AUDIENCE.!!!!! After all, the prof is one of theirs. Conclusion: either the professor is lying, or his research has a lot of loopholes (I.E could not be verified extensively), or he is simply stupid. NB. I am igbo so I am not hating. Moreover that school is presently my almamater. I am running a PhD program there. |

sipsip: Noo. That know protocol na. It's always just one lady who sits there. She's to direct new comers and all that... Moreover, she only sits when new comers are being announced. No one was sitting there when I did. An elderly woman sat with me, they didn't say nothing to her oo. What if the church was filled up? Won't they create that space for people? Ok lemme help u. When a church reserve seat for protocol, that means such seats are reserved in case some VIP (governor, commissioner, ambassador, pastor from another church etc) visits the church. It will guarantee that they get a place to sit no matter how late they arrive. And the pastor would like to accord them some respect and maybe recognise them in the course of the service. Now take that ur personality disorder, enter the nearest vehicle to bar beach, tie the disorder around ur neck (am sure it must be quite heavy) and then just jump into the ocean. |

BiafranBushBoy: But I have been in the marketing department for close to four years now
If you are not good... you are not good.
Marketing is a skill... not an option.
I read Engineering but ditched it for my beloved marketing.
Go to my CV and see all the roles I have handled. From Sales Associate to Marketing Analyst to Business Development to Business Analyst. So the list continues. If you don't have the skill... you don't have the skill.
Sometimes they give me a target of 8 million per month . I meet up at least half which is a PASS mark!
P.S. I don't work on commission oo I agree it is a skill. But u shud know that it still heavily depends on the line of products u are selling and it's competitive advantage. Some products are hard to sell and have no edge to sell it. E.g Insurance policies, pensions, overpriced forever living products, other overpriced MLM products, customised vehicles etc. Trust me, no matter ur selling skill, if ur target customer is not buying, he will not buy. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Why Do Unemployed Nigerians Want A Job But Reject Marketing Job At All Cost? by obstead200(m): 9:13pm On Jan 18, 2017 |
pocohantas: I don't think people really hate marketing that much, it's the abuse of its job function that's dreaded.
*Targets are most times difficult or impossible to meet. No one likes the idea of his/her career growth being tied to such.
*Nigerians are not even open to new products. The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know mindset, before you say a word...they'll say they're not interested. (e.g) You have been eating Indomie Noodles for decades and I come to market John Smith Noodles to you, will you budge?
*The products being marketed are most times not competitive enough. You send marketers to go market a product at the same price with competitive brands. The marketers are asked the usual, what will you people give me? They become dumb. No significant difference in the price or services to convince buyers and customers to make that switch to your product.
*Harassment: the guys are scared of not meeting targets because they don't have breast and bumbum. The girls on their part are scared of donating their vaginas. Some men won't subscribe to your services out of their good mind. U said it all. Especially at the bolded. A marketing job can only be interesting if the product has a clear competitive edge and will actually solve a problem for the consumer. I can't imagine myself marketing insurance, or telling someone who already has several bank accounts to open a new account |

pesty100: How are we to know that they are even really diplomats are you guys implying they can't lie The plate number of the vehicle is enough proof. The victim would have simply noted the plate number and make an official complaint at the polish embassy. His bashed car and the scratch on the diplomatic car shud be enough to prove his case. He will immediately be compensated. Members of the diplomatic corps don't like to be tied down in such skirmishes. It does not speak well of their country. We all should try to get knowledge in this country. |

Diplomatic immunity.....
Until the Polish Embassy says that they have waived their immunity....they cannot be prosecuted...
Happens all over the world....even in the US. Thank God there are still few educated and informed people on nairaland. "We are diplomats" covers all their crime. The worst the victim could have done is to take note of the vehicle plate number and make an official complaint to their embassy and ministry of foreign affairs.
U cannot arrest or prosecute a diplomat no matter what. That is the law This is the reason why we mess up on other pple land outside naija. Cos we no dey understand basic international policy. |

EMMAACHILE: If I am to rear chickens again, Will I go for noilers? My answer will be no
Why? Because it is more expensive to rear than broilers
For those who want sweet broilers, just feed them raw cracked maize for the last 2 weeks (11-12weeks) before harvesting them I partially agree with u. I have followed ur progress religiously and I can't help noticing that u spend a lot on the noilers, very unlike a profit oriented farmer. It sort of turned me off my decision to stock noilers cos I feel it is not worth the trouble. If I decide to stock noilers as an experiment, my focus will be on cost reduction by using locally formatted feed of much lower cost. I don't see why I shud spend 13 weeks and more resources to achieve a result I can get in 8 weeks with lesser resources. |
