actually, I tend to agree with this. Except the school the guy attended is of the lowest quality in the world.
Go to public universities, sadistic lecturers always make sure u twice deserve it before they grudgingly give u first class.
Go to quality private universities, the quality of teaching and research speaks for itself. U can't scale thru to first class if they are not sure that you will make them very proud with your outstanding intelligence outside school.
Only scam universities will award first class to people who are not really, really, really very very very smart.

Reminds me of a friend those days of job hunting who thinks Aptitude test is all about being a first class graduate. He wasn't so smart with aptitude test. He looked for job for like 2years + before going back to lecturing.

Today, if u tell that ur friend to leave lecturing, (especially if he is in a federal govt institution) for any job other than a multinational oil company, he will just slap ur face. grin

After a lecture delivered by the chief lecturer Alhaji Yusuf Adepoju & a debate in which he engaged in with a pastor and other Christians, a total of 15 Christians reverted to islam. The Academy has successfully converted 316 non-believers to islam in the last 6 months in various states in Nigeria. More details to come as the programme continues tonight 25/02/17 at 10pm till dawn.

ur best bet will be to try and make peace there and then. But If ur husband insists that u get into the car, my dear, as long as u are an African woman living in Africa, better respect urself and obey ur husband immediately. If u lose ur husband over a flimsy reason like arguing with ur dad (especially when the bone of contention between them is not a life and death situation or some other grievous circumstance), na u shame go catch oooo.

This is Africa. As long as u are married, ur husband must come first (only in everything that is right and just oooo, as long as u are not asked to commit an atrocity).
Most husbands see this as a perfect opportunity to send a woman packing, especially if there are no kids to take into consideration.
If u remain in ur fathers house for such a flimsy reason, trust me, in the eyes of everyone in Africa, the shame is urs.
Hell even ur dad will feel ashamed when his anger subsides. He might end up swallowing his shame for ur sake and sending emissaries to beg ur husband.

There is a good chance he took advantage of judicial incompetence and judiciary corruption to get that ruling he got in 1997.
There is a good chance that his crime/offence is much more serious than he admits.
There is a good chance that the police has challenged the '97 ruling but the case file got lost in the sea of corruption.

In my experience, a lot of desperate pple get to set aside the truth and talk rubbish, just to buy public sympathy.
In my organization, a staff was dismissed since the early 2000's for fraud. He challenged it in court and lost generally. He now waited for almost 15 years and when a visitation panel came around and held a public hearing, he appeared and started talking bullshit about why he was dismissed, claiming to be innocent and hoping to buy the sympar of the panel.
Unfortunately, my organization do not joke with records of proceedings for dismissed staff. His records and his deeds were well preserved for posterity.

I will have u know that I opposed the eze ndigbo when he went to the Deji palace with his crown and all, knowing it was against the Yoruba tradition. I sided with the Deji.
But this case is plain stupid. Nothing is Being contested here. The Deji is just worrying his stupid head over nothing.
And take it or leave it, there is nothing the Deji can do, constitutionally, if the eze ndigbo refuses to drop his title. In the eyes of the law, the Deji has no case. Except he will go the toutish way as usual

As far as I don't usurp the authority of the Deji of akure over the akure pple, I am entirely within my rights to rule my compound and my family.
That is exactly the circumstance we are looking at here. The eze ndigbo is not usurping the authority of the Deji. He acknowledges that the Deji is the monarch over all akure. His pple however selected him and said be our leader in akure. Be our representative in front of the Deji. As our tradition demands, we will call u 'Eze'. That is all. If not for spite, the stupid Deji need not worry his petty head over what the igbo chose to call their leader, as long as they did not crown him another Deji and as long as his activities does not usurp the authority of the dDeji.
