That this unholy tithe scheme is still being defended with the same gusto of a dude who needs to defend his daily bread from gangsters is a testament to what length folks are willing to go to protect their "income", to each his own but one can still learn from some of the posts here. God does not live in houses built with "human hands" and you need to downsize if your "tabernacle" needs so much maintenance cash that you have to find ways to generate extra revenue apart from what folks give out of their own "freewill", I won't even go into "building funds" that are endless or "pastors' appreciation" that comes with levies of what is expected from each member. These shenanigans only drive more folks away from the body of Christ when they realize how broke they've been made by these "gods of men" |
I have stopped feeling sorry for these folks that get scammed by the pimps armed with the Holy Bible because it is a choice they made or continue to make. The worst part is them feeling bad about themselves because their promised "financial break through" doesn't happen because of their "lack of faith", we know they will receive their due on that great day but we can also use our "resources" in a more effective way than giving it to some love-vendor to add to his "blessings" or procure some Italian suits or what have you. |
No matter how many times you explain the tithe process to "zombiefied" Christians, they will still go with what those Oles/pimps in suits tell them to do. To each his own, if you believe that giving money to someone to help him buy one extra SUV or private jet is "seed sowing" and that "blessings will pour out of 'heavens'", go ahead with it but don't complain when the only one getting "blessed" is the guy you gave your money to. How logical is it for you to demand 10% from your kids allowance that you provided in the first place? ![]() |
I don't need to join issues with no one on NL, there are lots of information out there and if folks want to remain in a cocoon, that's their prerogative also. I don't need to insult any "MOGs", but I will point out where they extort money from folks irrespective of their standing or affiliations and those who want to defend these obvious bending of the Scriptures to line pockets can go on doing just that. These folks who go on and on have no IDEA on how to interpret or study the Scriptures because if they do, they too would have come to the same realization that they are being used/abused. The HUSTLE started in the US and trust naija "pastors" to take it to a higher level. "Touch not my anointed" is a great quote when used in the corrects form, anyone using that for only the so called "MOGs" need to go study the Scriptures because "anointment" is for all true believers excluding the "pimps" ![]() |
timmy7:It shows! I rest my case! ![]() I don't need to please no "pastor", "GO", "GS", or whatever they call themselves neither will I be 'zombiefied' or become a robot in their armies, NO WAY JOSE! Looks like something a kid posted so I will take the high road from here on out, it is my prerogative ![]() BTW: what's the meaning of "fuckup" ![]() |
If you have problems with a generic language like English, I am sorry but there is a difference between being called a name and "maybe" or "like" so I suggest you educate your self more on the language if you felt insulted because that was not my point at all. Cool your jets man and stop reacting like a "tiny tim" I can be anything save "slowpoke" so come correct next time dude or don't come at all. I don't have anything against genuine debates but when folks get sidetracked, I don't get involved. I don't need to please you or anyone, get out of the kitchen if you can't stand the smoke. |
God bless you kennyaribs for speaking the truth despite the best efforts of folks like "timmy7" who maybe one of those "pastors" or a trainee pastor who seeks to benefit from the same pool like the so called MOGs. Poverty is indeed a disease as is lack of education, just seeing how even the yahoo boys try to "make it" ti be counted among the rich is amazing to say the least. Nigerians used to have good morals unlike now when nobody cares how you make it as long as you do, little wonder. I will not love any man more than Jesus Christ and I could care less what they call themselves or where they preach and sure as heck won't call any man other than my biological father "daddy" ![]() |
timmy7:Dude! Dude!! Dude!! What do you mean by the highlighted quote? Can't stand the heat in Nigeria? You are mistaken dude, why stand the heat when you don't have to anyway? ![]() Pray you get out one day and see if you even have the sense to worry about what goes on in Nigeria, those that continue to worry actually care about that country despite having settled in "obodo oyinbo", maybe yours is a case of sour grapes dude. ![]() |
"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends, " MLK Most of Nigeria's so called "pastors" are jokers to put it mildly, they see nothing wrong in hanging out with the looters or giving them podiums to speak to the "masses" most of whom have been brainwashed, attending their opulent birthdays, etc. There is an old saying that "you are the company you keep", maybe some of us need to open our eyes and see their pimps for who they really are and the ones being pimped are the "masses" The Zombie defenders will stop at nothing to keep their "pastor" on that high horse if it pays the bills, study your Bible folks before coming up with some nonsensical defense of "touch not my anointed", even Jesus Christ warned us about these PIMPS in stripe suites and what have you, study Matthew 7. These activities are not unexpected to the Christian, it is just one of the things we have to deal with and may God help us all. |
Someone actually believe they can defend some of the nonsense we hear/see from Nigeria? Hard luck, wishing thunder on someone just because they don't hold your "main man" in the same esteem is Christian? I am sorry but none is going to put wool over my eyes in the name of our Lord, to each his own. ![]() Matthew 7:15-25 (King James Version) 15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. |
Ekwere:Is it Christian to rain curses at folks you disagree with or is it the ultimate display of "zombiesm"? The jury is still out on this one! ![]() By the way, not every Nigerian who has a successful life outside of Nigeria is an scam artist like some of the so called respected folks back home, just a point I needed to make. ![]() |
ndomadu:Very well said! |
dinggle:Good point though I am not a fan of going "home" to find a spouse! ![]() |
"My father's house of worship has become a den of thieves, stealing in the name of the Lord, , There's a place called Heaven when rich man cannot go, stealing in the name of the Lord, If the reverend drives a fancy car and buys everything tax free, the people have to sacrifice to give him charity, stealing in the name of the Lord, " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ligxTfLDXnI Anything coming out of Nigeria doesn't surprise me anymore, I am numb to it now ![]() |
Na wa ooo! Euchena: His day will be here soon except those "calabar harlots" file for him I guess!! Too many of these guys come here and forget how they got here so it's a shame to say the least, if you're illegal, first order of business should be to get that straight. |
Those who want to remain in bondage are entitled to it but don't EVER call me a "robber" just because I refuse to fill your belly and that of your "leader, pastor, whatever" because our Lord Jesus has no need for money, he OWNS the whole World and the heavenly galaxy including you. If you can't show scriptural proof but want to remain a zombie, leave me out of your delusion. If tithe was so important like the present day pimps/oles(we were warned about them so no surprises here) Jesus and his apostles would have addressed it like they did giving from the heart, helping the widows/orphans/poor and LOVE for one another among other teachings. It doesn't surprise me one bit because there are folks who spend a long time in jail, get released only to commit a crime shortly after that and go right back to jail. You have a right to use your resources any how you see fit but don't call me names just because I won't be cajoled into this foolery. |
becoomrich:I can rationalize the |
You guys need to get Dele Momodu into a gym fast, free food dey kill oooo!!! |
That guy doesn't deserve more than a single description:JOKE Dele Momodu (owambe reporter)=JOKE ![]() |
OLAADEGBU:Chapter 4 verse 19 coincidence? I hope so One has to have a deep understanding/knowledge of the Scriptures to contend with today's "rob the flock blind, stealing in the name of the Lord" pastors/leaders. Paul was stating his trust in God as the ultimate provider and the fact that he was never a burden to any "congregation" as he went about his mission, there was no levy on the Phillipians that we know of. Below are some verses from the same chapter: 10But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. No one I have read on this thread is against voluntary giving but the "mandatory" tithe that some pastors preach to line their pockets. Jesus fulfilled the law and yet some of them still want you to follow this law and to discard the "non prosperity laws" which runs in the Hundreds, something fishy ![]() Matthew 18:19-20: 19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. I heard once that "if there was no tithe, how can we cover the church expenses?", The Church is not a "building", "tabernacle", etc, but every believer of Christ, if your "expenses" are too high, downsize because our Lord and Savior enjoined us not to build mansions here on earth but to lay up our Treasures in Heaven. You have a right to continue your own way and I have a right not to be included in this scheme, to each his own. ![]() |
OLAADEGBU, pastor 419 A good deed done out of LOVE beats any amount or percentage any day. You can't BRIBE God with 10% NO WAY JOSE! A thief is a thief whether he uses a book or a gun ![]() |
Why do black folks wear JERRY CURLS (reminds me of the scene from 'coming to America') ![]() "By their fruits, ye shall know them, he who have ears, let him hear, the eye is the light of the body, if the eye is good, the body will be full of light, if the eye in you is darkness, how great is the darkness" Correct me if I am wrong, I no see jerry curl there oooo ![]() |
OLAADEGBU:You people and your habit of quoting only the Scriptures that support your thirst, Tithes were specific to PRODUCE of the land or lifestock and now you are showing us another passage concerning money where TITHE was not mentioned. Show me a passage or passages in the Bible where TITHE was used by itself and not "tithe of cumin, etc. In the same Mark 12 you quoted from, how about these passages? 12And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way. 13And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words. 14And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? 15Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it. 16And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's. 17And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him. ![]() 26And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? 27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err. 28And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. 32And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: 33And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. ![]() Na wa for prosperity pimps and seed(cash) sowing mongers ooooo |
kalauta:You are so right, they have a right to remain the way they are! ![]() ", the reverend/pastor drives a fancy car and buys everything tax free and the people have to sacrifice to give him charity, stealing in the name of the Lord, " Max Romeo & the Up setters, These sure are the last days and God help us all ![]() |
These advocates of tithes want to have their cake and eat it too, poster believes in tithes and therefore can decide where to put the cash ![]() As for me, I will not succumb to the excesses of megalomaniac pimps-i mean "pastors"! I will give to whoever comes to mind as someone in need or where I see a need and I am not supposed to give like a pharisee either. These are business people and the Governments ought to start taxing them, these same tithe employees forget that tithe provided the framework for our current tax and banking system. God is not interested in a percentage folks, your good deeds (should not be disclosed, "your right hand should not know what your left hand is doing), love for your neighbors and even enemies, etc are required of Christians. What is the meaning of "FULFILL", if Jesus Christ fulfilled the law, what are we talking about then? Arguing with these tithe business men/women is like arguing with a wooden desk, no end in sight. To each his own jare. |
WOW, Not again! You can't win with these "robots" who have been programmed/indoctrinated/tricked into giving a percentage, your heart and Love for every one of his creation are the greatest gifts you can ever give God. Freewill giving means you can help the poor/widows/orphans that you come across be they Christians or not, of course your "pastor" will want the whole pie but you are not serving some pastor are you? Check out this old reggae song, good stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ligxTfLDXnI Shalom. |
Village boy proper here ![]() If you've never lived in the village, you don't know what you're missing and there should be no stigma attached to it unless the person is so conceited to the point of delusion. |
Fela was right, na demonstration of craze we dey practice for naija! When everyone is propelled by GREED, you get pictures like these- take a trip to Nigeria and everyone from the uniformed ones to even the baggage handlers want some form of bribe or another because it is what everyone does and "man must chop", it trickles down. Armed robbers (renting weapons from ?) writes to inform a whole neighborhood they will strike so and so day and do most of the times, I don't see that happening anywhere in the west, heck, we will be happy for the notice here and wait for them but in Nigeria where you can't even get a hunting riffle let alone have choices, what do you expect? It is easy to sit in the west and ask why they don't do something about it, but how ![]() I don't care what type of government, it should not be like this period, |
Remember this anytime one of you bozos go back "home" to take a wife who will be forced into nursing school upon arrival. Na wa for our dear native land |
How much did MKO donate to Howard University over time? Anyone who was here then should know this and a few other public donations even when folks were fighting for his "mandate" Wetin we never see sef? LMBAO!!!!! |
