The word "religion" should not even come into the discussion if we're talking Christianity. One can be religious about a number of things, you are either a Christian or you're not, there is no "in between", religion has a corruptible influence when associated with Christianity.

I heard the same 10-15 minutes tithe rant this past Sunday at a Redeem Church here in NA, I know better and it won't move me to anything that I didn't already plan on. Folks have to be strong in their belief, Sarah's husband might never get it if he has no intention of getting it in the first place. Some of us like to "go with the flow", we don't like to be the only ones sitting when they call out the "tithers" to stand up for their "blessing", Christianity is not about following pastors or people, it is about following Jesus Christ's examples and admonitions in all that we do.

Education is the key to stopping this scam, I still fellowship in one of those "Churches" on a regular bases but I won't buy into what is not Biblical and they can look at me all they want. Me I won't "follow follow" and it is our duty to educate others too about this scam.

It is wrong and un-Biblical to follow a man (no matter how highly placed) and take everything he says or preaches without cross checking the "facts" in the Bible, in the lives of Jesus Christ and his Disciples. Jesus Christ himself warned us that even some of those that have performed miracles in his name won't make it to Heaven and would be denied when it counts most, a Christian can't afford to "follow follow".

Any form of giving that is based on a percentage is not Biblical as far as I am concerned and I do believe in giving like Jesus Christ himself warned us not to "let our right hand know what our left hand is doing", no one needs to know how much and to who I give, that is between me and my God. Those who feel a need to do that can continue and I can't hate on them for their own decision to do what they feel is right.

There are two kinds of Nigerians-Those that can make it anywhere and those that can't make it anywhere, I visit Europe often but can't speak for those who live it but some of us think that being anywhere is enough for them so they don't want to put in the extra work to get higher.
