PRESS RELEASE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE FIRST LADY OF RIVERS STATE

Our attention has been drawn to a statement made by the first Lady of Nigeria that the first Lady of Rivers State did not come to receive her at the Airport on her arrival. Well, we just want to say that it couldn’t be helped as the First Lady of Rivers State Mrs. Judith Amaechi was too busy cooking food for her husband and looking after the 'first Children' of Rivers State. Also, the First Lady of Nigeria has never received the First Lady of Port-Harcourt on any of her arrivals in Abuja either. We the people of Rivers State believe that respect is reciprocal.

That notwithstanding, The government of Rivers State however promises to attend the burial. Please send us the Aso-ebi to 'Rivers State Government House'. We will send reps to sign the condolence register on our behalf. We are truly sorry that your mother died from over-speeding on a Rivers State Road that was supposed to have been built by your Husband the President, but was rather built by the same Rivers State Governor that you are trying to unseat. Please know that the reason the Governor couldn’t pay you a condolence visit was because he was busy repairing the road that your Mothers accident spoilt.

We however hope you enjoy your visit to Port Harcourt and take in the many good works of the Governor. And please be careful when driving through the State as there are alot of construction works going on, lest you also have an accident and Die.

May your Mothers Soul rest in the same situation that you have put Gov. Amaechi in.. grin [/right]

Goddex: Mbu, that some of you ignorant peeps rant your tongue about is a core professional. The IG knows this. Ameachi is sponsoring a propaganda for his sack because Mbu refused to do his bidding on the Rivers State PDP chairmanship issue which Mbu instead opted to implement a court order. Ameachi had directed Mbu not to implement a court ruling replacing the PDP chairman in the state which Mbu refused.

Amaechi is the principal of Rivers State.. NOT the CP!

Is the boss says he doesnt want a certain employee working for him, its best that you remove him and replace him.

This move by the FG is very stupid. They have just set up Rivers State to return to the pre-2007 anarchy that engulfed that state. This move by the FG now shows that they have bad plans for Amaechis Rivers State and we the peoples of Rivers State would be the ones to pay.

The Senate and the House of Reps (Which is basically the voice of the people) have sid that he should be removed from Rivers State, yet the FG has refused to heed this call. Na when people start to die for Rivers State una go know say shit don knack fan abi?!

Investment / Re: Should I Build In Lagos Or In My Home Town or buy Stocks with my N 11 million by Okijajuju: 4:24pm On Jul 18, 2013
manie: A friend who works with UBA Capital invested 4 million Naira on the shares of UBA in January 2012. He planned to hold the stock for 36 months that is till January 2015. The average purchase price of the stock was between N2.35k and N2.50k.

The guy got a dividend of 702k from his stock in June 2013, after which he sold 90% 0f his shareholding for about 10.5 million Naira. With the sale of 90% of his UBA shares and the dividend received he has over 11 million Naira. He is now contemplating what to do with the money considering the various alternatives that are available.

Firstly he does not have a country home in his home town, that is Odogbolu in Ogun State. His younger brothers all have a country home at Odogbolu and he is the only one left out among the 3 of them. He is therefore thinking of using the money to build a house at Odogbolu.

Secondly he has a fenced plot of land at Ajah, he stopped in 2009 at the foundation stage. He is considering using the 11 million Naira to build a moderately finished 2 units of three bedroom flats that will give a minimum rental income of 1.1 Million Naira.I currently charge my tenants 550k per annum, he may decide to charge same or higher rate.

Thirdly, he believes stocks like Zenith Bank, FBN, UBA, UBA Capital, Access Bank and ETI are currently undervalued, investing in this stocks should give an average dividend yield of 6.5% is over 700k and an upside potential of 30% to 40% that is 3.3 million Naira to 4.4 million Naira in the next 12 months.

What will do you if you are in Supo's shoes.

Country Home: Waste of money... The value of properties in the village are next to shiite. Even rent value is very low. Especially if he doesnt live in the village..

Lagos House: Best Idea... Property value in Lagos is astronomically high and would bring back a higher yeild on investment.

Stocks: A big gamble.. If he is careful, he stands to make more from this. But the down side is that stocks have no guarantee.. I would say invest it in fixed interest treasury bills rather than stocks..

Money Doubling: Best option ever..

Baba Ijebu: Second best option.

First it was Nigerian Airways, Then Virgin Nigeria, then Air Nigeria, I wonder what this one would be called?!

Flygeria...

Anyways.. I never understaood why the government didnt find a way of keeping Virgin Nigeria here. They were quite good during the period they operated and had just purchased 1o Brand new Embrier Jets before the quarrel started.

Any new company coming had better not be government owned. Infact, make government shift.. angry

Bonus for a draw... When they should be holding their heads in shame.

Anyways, I cant blame them, in a sporting career, one needs to grab as much as they can whilst they can.. One injury and its game over for them. Plus, why should they be patriotic when nobody else is.
