Betterlife2018: How did u achieve the bolded. The requirement for claiming "2 more or cert" is that one of the cert must be at least 3 years- Anyway WES has the final say here- ur ECA report will tell u if u can claim 2 or more cert. WES might still evaluate ur BSC accounting as 3 years - just start the process here-www.wes.org and hope for the best. Hi Betterlife2018, I got admission into Babcock with my ICAN certificate so i was exempted from 100 level and 200 level that was how i came about 2 years First degree. I also have a credential evaluation report from Foreign Credential Service of America. (FCSA) I dont know if i answered your question |

Dear All,
Please i have a question, would it matter if First degree was 2 years (300 level and 400 level). I have the folllowing
- First Degree in Accounting from Babcock Univeristy but 2 years
- ICAN Certificate
- ATS Certificate
What do you think about evaluation of these documents please and how do i go about the WES evaluation, i am clueless about it. |

adeenzo: I tracked my passport and got the following update: The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXXXXX has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja on 2020/12/16. Does this mean that my passport is now with DHL? Because I did a 2-way courier service with DHL and I tried tracking the return WAYBILL NO, on DHL's website but it's not showing the package has been received. Do I get in touch with DHL or Abuja VFS? Hi Adeenzo, i have similar update as yours and on contacting DHL yesterday, they just sent me a mail that mine is booked to be picked up before 6pm today. I think you should chase DHL at nginquiry@dhl.com; track@dhl.com; ngdispatch@dhl.com. Dont forget to atatch the return waybill and quote the waybill number as a subject on the mail. Keep bombarding their mails, they always respond to mails fast. |

Phatkayconcept: Hi guys, I'm having a very difficult time with VFS and UPS. On Friday, VFS said that they have shipped my passport through their in-house UPS to my address in Ibadan.
Since Friday , I have been waiting for UPS to arrive. Yesterday, they called me from their Ogunlana drive UPS office and asked if I have received my passport and I said no that I am waiting for them all day long. They said I will get it, yesterday passed, I didn't get it. Later in the evening, their tracking website said technical issue, that my package will be delayed.
Today, I got a message from a man from their office and he said they have shipped my package to badagry, when I wrote clearly that my address is Ibadan.
Guys, does anybody have any ups contact that can connect me with Ogunlana Drive or any UPS number in Lagos. Or anyway I can help myself in this situation.
Both VFS and UPS number that called me are not going through. This VFS are filled with useless and unprofessional people. Hello Bro, can you try sending them an e-mail and escalate to this email : ngcustomerservice@ups.com and see if there is improvement. Phone calls might be taken for granted but an e-mail cannot be ignored becuase everyone is seeing it and it is documented especially when the escalation is coming from a customer. It will end in praise, sorry about the whole drama. |

JustMellow: Hello kelvine95,
How did you get to know the bolded?
Despite the funding, in order to address the VO's concerns, these are my suggestions to you (based on assumptions before the arrival of your notes).
1. Get a Letter of Support from your mom.
It doesn't necessarily have to be huge but she can at least transfer any possible amount out of the $10kCAD to give weight to the LOS.
2. Get a study leave letter to support the already employment documents at hand.
3. Include your BS or MBS, which ever is applicable
4. If you don't have personal assets, use your future plans and current job (career advancement) if lucrative to demonstrate a strong HT
5. Give a breakdown of the full coverage of the funding letter or certificate and the length in which the extra funds your mom will transfer to will also cover or go
6. Present any membership certificate in your possession (if applicable)
7. Since you're a research student, approach a Senior Lecturer, Dr., Prof., HOD or Dean in your graduate school that you can easily have a mutual rapport.
Explain your situation with evidence (full funding letter, refusal letter, LOA etc)
Ask for assistant for a verifiable Letter of Attestation address to the VO that acknowledge your possible return to an ongoing research work that you are part of. That you will return in time for the presentation ceremony... (If applicable)
8. There is also the Power of Attorney stating your control over your mom's or late father's property (if applicable)
Endeavour to think deeply for answers, only way to stroll pass this artificial hurdle.
All the best I like this your response, it will end in praise. |

Popoolam: Evening guys
Sorry, has anyone noted any timeline between when eligibility review starts and when a final decision is made? There is no timeframe, decision can come at anytime and by God's grace yours will be positive, just leave it to the hands of God who has the final approval. I understand the anxiety. You may want to apply for your GCMS note if you wish. Someone on this forum has not gotten a decision but the GCMS note reads that the application has been approved. It will end in praise. |

Iffylove: Good evening to everyone Please I want to inquire if anyone has gotten admission to UBC for a graduate program without the submission of GRE.... The course I am applying for states that GRE is optional... Since they said it is optional, I want to know if the submission of GRE by other applicants can give them more advantage in the assessment of their applications for admission. Thank you all. Hi Iffylove, You can try to put your best foot forward by drafting an interesting strong statement of purpose to your advantage to convince the admission officers that your background would count as a positive factor to overlook the GRE requirement for you like sighting maybe your work experience, leadership positions you have held, managerial positions you have occupied or maybe your educational and professional background and stating what you intend to achieve and bring onboard to your fellow cohorts from an african perspective into the classroom. Those who submitted GRE scores might get the advantage of schorlarships and funding. Wish you success. |

rebecausoro: Complete landing gist
I flew from Uyo to Lagos on Tuesday evening and I stayed with a family friend for the night. I arrived the airport around 10am for a flight of 1.40pm. I thought I was early until I saw the queue. Quick tip: even if your flight is for 6pm, get to the airport around 12pm and stay there till they are ready for you .
Ethiopian airlines usually do manual verifications of all students travelling to Canada. You really need to be there on time for this because the man doing it is slow and doesn't care about your time. He asked for proof of enrollment, admission letter, ArriveCAN slip, and visa page. Please make at least two copies of all of these too. After showing him, he'll snap and then send to someone via WhatsApp to verify. Once confirmed, your passport will be given a number and you'll then proceed to where it will be scanned again for secondary verification. After this stage, you will then go to where you can get a boarding pass.
The plane left Lagos around 2pm. I was seated at the back and had space to stretch legs . We got to Addis Ababa around 7pm (Nigeria time) and then we entered a long queue for onward movement. From Addis Ababa, we went to Dublin for refueling and then to Toronto. Upon arrival, we talk a long walk (very long o) and got to immigration people. The woman that attended to me asked for these (in the following order): 1. Declaration slip (will be given to you in the airplane) 2. Passport 3. LOI 4. Student Status letter (enrolment letter) 5. School fees/tuition receipt 6. ArriveCAN page (apparently, I didn't even fill my own well and was delayed for a while. Make sure you fill yours well) 7. POF 8. LOA
She asked me the following: Which department were you admitted into? Why did you choose MUN? What is your name?
Then she took my finger prints and issued me a Study Permit for 3 years (my program is for 2 years but I don't know why it was issued in excess).
I went to wait board a St John's flight after a long wait at the airport. Got to St. John without qualms. Reach my apartment, checked in and slept off.
Exams start on Monday. Canada is beautiful and nice. I love the place. Good luck to all who are applying or will soon come.
It has ended in praises. Well explanatory and detailed, thank God for journey mercies, please i sent you a private message. |

Oluwayemisi0507: @Frankrobbn1, I am so sorry to disturb you but please answer me.
I have to decide by tomorrow morning pleaseeeee. Hi Oluwayemisi, The Nigerian Student Express(NSE) has same similarities with the Student Direct Stream(SDS) which applies to some selected countries unlike the NSE that applies to Nigerians only. The Student Direct stream accepts both General and Academic Test scores but the Nigeria Student Express (NSE) just kicked off this year so some things are not yet pretty clear as to the position of the IRCC and hopefully they are able to put more clarity just for example on the issue of the mybankstatement certificate which not all commercials banks has keyed into etc. Now looking at the NSE letter, they were not specific whether the applicant should submit General or Academic Module so i think you should go ahead and submit your General Test scores report and if you go ahead and register for Academic test , you will also be on track but be mindful of their deadline for you to respond, any is fine. Dont base your decision on who has gotten Visa based on General Test scores submission. The VO wieghs a lot of factors on the applicant and makes his/her final decision. So, i would allow you make your decision as to which. Wish you success. |

blcoolfemol: This morning, I went out briefly and I was about 15 minutes away from home. Suddenly the call just entered .
Ups man: Hello! I am the UPS delivery man I am in front of your house. Me: Argh! I went out briefly can you please come to the location? Ups man: Do you have your collection slip with you? Me:which one is collection slip again? I sent everything together at once. Ups man: If you don't have the collection slip, I can't deliver I am returning it. Me: Baba, please give me 2 minutes, I will join you now now!!
Na so I carry Okada o sharperly. I got to my house I saw UPS bike I didn't see the rider. I just moved closed to the UPS bike and hold it as if na my papa get am.
Opposite my house they are selling akamu and akara. The man was there sipping his akamu and he sighted and just holla me.
Me: Madam, please give this man more 1000 naira akara and 1000 naira pap. UPS man screamed aahaan Oga you wan kii me. Me: Oga free free all bills on me. Madam please satisfy this man and no collect one naira from him o
Ups man: Bros I am okay, I have been waiting for you and thank you for the payment of my meal.
So, I took the man to one corner and educate him well that I sent all my documents through DHL, your company should even be thanking me that I didn't do 2-way bill. And there is nothing like collection slip.
He now said what do we do? He doesn't want to be queried at work.
Me: Baba what do you want me to do? I have been waiting for this thing since God knows when. Ups man: Can you do a photocopy of the front page of your passport, after you have opened this parcel? Me: Baba that one na smallest thing in this life, I will do 30 copies if you want
Photocopy center is very far from house but I don't mind. We got there, opened the stuff, I shown him the visa page, is this where you want baba? He said yes.
Generator of photocopier no gree start o. At the end Gen start we made copy of my visa page.
Baba said my digital photo is not showing. I said but that's the page you requested. Well no problem, I think you need my passport datapage?
Ups man said Yes, I'm very sorry.
That's how the datapage was done for him and I collected my parcel.
Na so the story goo
To God will always be the glory. Which one is collection slip again oooh? I also submitted everything. |

Insanity: Please which email address did you send to? Can I get it?, they're yet to reply to any of my emails and queries. If you have a different phone number too, please let me have it. Their mobile number is always busy, or won't go through at all, when it does and connects, it stops with the agents.
My passport has been ready for collection since December 03 at Abuja, I paid for a 2-way courier via DHL and I'm yet to receive my package. It's so annoying. Hi Insanity, what if you try calling DHL customer care and quote the return way bill tracking number to inform them that the shipment is ready for collection at Visa Application Centre ( quoting the full address) . Please contact details of DHL Team in charge of shipment delivery and pickup. Please contact the customer service team by email on nginquiry@dhl.com and copy ngdispatch@dhl.com or call any of the DHL lines 08039077000, 08002255345 or 012700908. You can try email DHL with your details let their team go there and lets see if that works. |

sleekcheek: Nov 5th applicant, just received NSE letter this morning.
Good morning gurus, my bank (first bank) is not on the mybankstatement platform hence I intend to go to the bank and ask them to courier my bank statement directly to Canadian embassy in Lagos. Am I on the right track?
Also I am hearing that no computer based ielts exam anywhere for now, how true is this?
Awaiting your helpful responses Hi Sleek, you can request for a print out of your one year bank statement history from First bank and have them stamp all the pages and you upload with a letter of explanation addressed in a formal letter to the Deputy High commission of Canada informing them that mybankstatement portal is not available on any channel of First Bank and upload it. I feel they should be expecting this kind of response from applicant since not all commercial bank currently use the mybankstatement channel and i am sure they are fully aware of that. Having your bank courier your bank statement to the embassy is discretionary, it is a step i took but not sure of the position of the embassy on that so i would say follow your instinct. Wish you success. |

Did you write your IELTS after receiving NSE letter or you had it before you submitted your application?
If you had it before submitting your application, did you tick YES on the application form when asked if you have taken a language test and did you upload the test results on your application form? Yes , i had it before submitting my application and also yes to your other question, i tick yes to the question of taken a language test before and the reason i uploaded the IELTS as proof. |

Hi TeeMade, i submitted IELTS Academic with my application before the NSE request. When the NSE request letter was sent, this did not come with request for IELTS anymore. I think any of the modules is acceptable since their letter is not specific on which to submit,i think you should submit the one you have. |

[quote author=Amylew post=96815911]Congrats Olasubomi. So happy for you. You are.like the first NSE person I know that has scalled through. I pray for grace for the rest who are waiting and hoping too.
Pls, the account statement used, was the whole 10000cad pof requested complete from day one till one year or it was built small small till it met the NSE requirements? Cos my account has like 1.5 now. I intend adding to it before I apply mid next year. Did you do academic or general? [quote
It was built over time. You can keep adding more funds since you have till mid next year but make sure the inflows are consistent (but avoid lumpsums) to some extent and be ready to give an explanation on the source of funds in your statement of purpose and support documents to back it up. Something that looks convincing. You can try to appeal to Hounorable Frank to help proof reaf your SOP or Justmellow or any of the guru in the house when you are ready.
I submitted IELTS Academic but i think General is also acceptable.
All the best. |
