My passport has been ready for collection since December 03 at Abuja, I paid for a 2-way courier via DHL and I'm yet to receive my package. It's so annoying.

Hi Insanity, what if you try calling DHL customer care and quote the return way bill tracking number to inform them that the shipment is ready for collection at Visa Application Centre ( quoting the full address) . Please contact details of DHL Team in charge of shipment delivery and pickup. Please contact the customer service team by email on nginquiry@dhl.com and copy ngdispatch@dhl.com or call any of the DHL lines 08039077000, 08002255345 or 012700908.

You can try email DHL with your details let their team go there and lets see if that works.

Good morning gurus, my bank (first bank) is not on the mybankstatement platform hence I intend to go to the bank and ask them to courier my bank statement directly to Canadian embassy in Lagos. Am I on the right track?

Also I am hearing that no computer based ielts exam anywhere for now, how true is this?

Hi Sleek, you can request for a print out of your one year bank statement history from First bank and have them stamp all the pages and you upload with a letter of explanation addressed in a formal letter to the Deputy High commission of Canada informing them that mybankstatement portal is not available on any channel of First Bank and upload it. I feel they should be expecting this kind of response from applicant since not all commercial bank currently use the mybankstatement channel and i am sure they are fully aware of that.

Having your bank courier your bank statement to the embassy is discretionary, it is a step i took but not sure of the position of the embassy on that so i would say follow your instinct.

Did you write your IELTS after receiving NSE letter or you had it before you submitted your application?

If you had it before submitting your application, did you tick YES on the application form when asked if you have taken a language test and did you upload the test results on your application form?

Yes , i had it before submitting my application and also yes to your other question, i tick yes to the question of taken a language test before and the reason i uploaded the IELTS as proof.

Hi TeeMade, i submitted IELTS Academic with my application before the NSE request. When the NSE request letter was sent, this did not come with request for IELTS anymore.

I think any of the modules is acceptable since their letter is not specific on which to submit,i think you should submit the one you have.

Pls, the account statement used, was the whole 10000cad pof requested complete from day one till one year or it was built small small till it met the NSE requirements? Cos my account has like 1.5 now. I intend adding to it before I apply mid next year.

You should send the original copy of the biometric slip that was issued to you after your biometrics enrollment. Kindly print out two copies of the VFS consent form and duly sign the page 2 of the document.

I want to confirm actual amount for the transmission fee for Abuja VFS and for consent form ( is it the original i am sending to VFS or i make copies?) also, i still have the consent form given when i did my biometrics or do i still need to print onlline and for the biometric slip ( am i sending the original or make copies?).

sorry I'm asking too much questions I got NSE requesting for only ielts which i did paper based still waiting for the results but I didn't do upfront medicals

My eligibiity started around Dec 2 or so after they started review of addtional document i submitted and this review started Nov 30( the NSE required documents)

Since they sent you NSE request without medicals on file, hopefully you get medical request asap after you submit your IELTS.

Apart from a copy of the underlisted.

(1) Passport Request Letter.
((2) International Passport
(3) Copy of consent forms and Biometric slip given to me when i did my biometrics (or should it be the original copy i should submit?)

I am aware i would be paying a fee since i did not do my biometrics in Abuja , please how do i go about the payment and how much?

Yes i got request for NSE to submit mybankstatement certificate but my sponsor bank (Standard Chartered) which had the major fund is not on the mybankstatement platform.

What i did was to get another printed copy of the statement showing transaction for 1 year and got the bank to stamp all the pages and was able to convince the bank to send the statement via courier to the Canadian embassy in Lagos and quote my applicaton and UCI no on the waybill.

So i uploaded a one page letter of explanation ( notifying the VO that Standard Chartered is not on mybankstatement platform) reason this was sent by courier. + uploaded the waybill tracking sheet (UPS) + stamped soft copy of that same bank statement +mybank statement certificate ( for my own salary account - Stanbic IBTC) and submitted.

That was the initiative i took.

I am willing to reapply again and possibly defer my admission till Spring 2021, please how soon should I reapply. Also I already passed Medicals for this current application will I need to do another Medicals I wish to get the study permit on my second trial . Thank you.

I would suggest you apply for your GCMS note quickly, this will give proper insight to the mind of the VO which would help you in demonstrating to the VO convincingly that your initial application was refused based on so and so and that your story has changed blah blah attaching the neccessary verifiable support document in your re-application

So i would advise you do no rush to re-apply till you receive your GCMS note.

Hi West009, i recently read complaints about IOM not accepting Upfront medical applicants for now except you have a medical request from IRCC, i am not sure if this is still the case as at date, i think you should try QLife and they are even more cheaper only you would have to plan your route to Victoria Island as thats where they are located in Lagos. You can check their web https://www.qlifefamilyclinic.com/cim-terms-and-conditions for more details.

The Police Character Certificate is not compulsory but no harm if you can try getting this just to strengthen your application.

Hi Oginnite,

Log into your account and click on submitted applications, then scroll down, you will see a space created by IRCC for your to upload the request.( with a deadline date against it). The letter sent to you by IRCC will also have that detailed guide, read it well again.

Hi Elizdee, if you decide to apply for your GCMS note, just search GCMS on google and you have various options to choose from. It is something you can do yourself without any help from anybody. You would most likely have to sign a consent form thats all.
