Thanks for ur comments ma.......sometimes there is always this confident that i have failed b4 I won't fail again...... That was what pushed me into buying of that car......and the problem started even the very first day, after completing the payment on my way going back the car broke down......I had to fix it, the following day I discovered that the oil seal was leaking..... So many issues..

As for spiritual things, most people don't easily believe because the haven't had a personal experience...... I have seen things....Angels and demons many times...

And the other aspect of getting a job to flex and save, my Aunty I won't lie to u, I don't even have any certificate....(meaning I can't get a good paying job) on my plans to settle and further my studies keep failing year in year out.......

And the other investment I pray it goes as planned... So I can settle that man because he is a nice man even though me and him are not from the same state.......

So I don't even know where to start from.......my attempt to get a normal driving job at least fixing of car won't be my duty (private driving) I haven't gotten......

That's why I still came here again, no one knows what I am going through...... .
Oga...You buy naija used car? 99% of cars resold in Nigeria have extreme issues that's why the seller is selling.. People buying naija used cars and it turning to shit abounds around. If you are not a very versed car person, buying a Naija used car is asking for your premature death. A friend bought a 2012 Accord, they didn't drive past Gwags before the gasket blew, car overheat and had an engine knockout. It hard to take them using soldiers to get a fraction of the money back from the seller.

The 1% are those relocating out of the country and need to raise cash. I would never sell a reliable car even if i am upgrading so forget all those stories sellers tell you. There's an underlying issue.

Even the mechanics you carry along would close their eyes to obvious flaws. They only get their pay if you buy a car. So why would they block their payday? Also if the car has issues, you would always take it back to them. More money for them. Use your head. God gave you a brain. Please use it.

Look much more keenly at your habits and actions. Not everything is spiritual abeg.

Emma, im short of words at your situation. Im not religious so im blind to whatever religious undertones(if any) in your write up.

What about the investment you made with part of the loan? Ypu were not a novice in car hire/driving business so im truly surprised you invested part of that loan into town service.

You seem to be too trusting. . .and have very little business acumen. Can you take a break from all business and just look for a job, work, collect your salary, flex and save. No be all of us go be CEO or business man.

You could even look for an established church that will employ you. I assume Pastors are paid monthly undecided

Edit: Why do you need a pastor or fellow man to help you pray/conduct deliverance etc ,if at all theres any spiritual undertone to your wahala?
MFM pastors are human too . . Just like you.
You made bad choices and decisions,C'est finis. I see nothing spiritual with your problems. Who works and saves his salary with his boss? cheesy
Pray, bind and cast all you want, if you dont wisen up as a man and face the street headstrong, nothing will change.
God bless you. Not always do things have to be about spirituality.

We sometimes hide under such rubbish to hide our own flaws. Instead of him to agree he failed in his responsibility and due diligence, he would blame some village people. Because of stupid religiosity we see a lot of that around here. So called religious men telling heir followers to drink hypo and all sorts .

He goes on in life like this and he would fail woefully. Always seeing enemies instead of his own mistakes.

Startups are hard, about 89% startups fail worldwide. Even in countries with serious infrastructures to help small businesses the failure rates are high let alone Nigeria where you have zilch support. He should go get a job and continue with the side hustle. You can always blend the two.
PoliticsRe: Inside The Boko Haram Bomb Making Hub In Sambisa Forest(video) by onegig(m):
This clearly shows the illiterates running the army.

It seems like it's business as usual . Just like the incompetence you find in all our government office. Same thing you would find here.

Not a single common sense. You discovered cache of arms. No survey to see if IEDs or the place has been wired with bombs or landmines. No coordination. They didn't even do a clear mapping of the area before they started filming. What if it was an ambush and BH were just out there waiting to lob bombs at them from a trench? What's even the biz of the soldier filming?

Someone shouting some stupid commands in a language not understood by all. How do you want to pass instructions?

See him describing the location they were to the other soldiers ccoming to meet them. "You make a slight turn"....slight turn to fcccking where. "After the river".

Are they to follow the Flow of the river South? Or in the opposite direction? Not a single use of coordinates. That's the most basic thing any sensible soldier would know of. What have they been teaching them at NDA for goodness sake?

See them packing guns and cylinders with hands without even checking if the safety catch is off or not so as to prevent accidental discharge.

And those machines aren't anything special . They are just basic tools you using in bending iron that have been repurposed to fashion out weapons.

No wonder they have been killing soldiers in their thousands. When you choose to run everything based on quota system and not merit, This is the results you get.

This is an eyesore and I feel for people caught up in this conflict. They are just pawns to the stupidity of both sides.

Our people must learn to keep secret at times especially in Nigeria where bad belle full ground. If you have good intentions, don't share with everybody until you're done. Rather pray to God for the success of it whilst you carry out your plans. I have a close relation who was deported from USA at the port of entry on the account wrong of identity. He went to the embassy himself for his interview , leading to approval of his Visa. The guy was jubilating up and down, showing his Visa to every Tom, dick and harry. When he got to the USA port of entry, the CBP said the pictures on the bio data page and Visa page in his passport didn't resemble his real look. He was asked to thumb print which he did and the fingerprints were all his.

Eventually, they deported this guy on account of fraud with a ban. When he got back home, his aunt took him to their pastor who prayed for him this pastor asked him, who is so, and so( mentioning the person's name) and the guy said she's just a friend and the man said she took photograph of the Visa with her eyes and cancelled it in the spirit realm. He told the guy not to worry but would need to pray very hard to get another one. A few years later, he got a renewed Visa and his wife sef no know when im reach yankee. He came back after his programme and settled the scores with her and siblings whom he didn't inform before travelling.

In the scenario below if Boateng missed that tackle how will the guy on the left not have a free shot on goal

Boateng miss the tackle and it becomes 2vs 1 or even 3 vs 1

But being a top defender he went for his man unlike VVD who was backing off his man like a coward
Guy. Take a chill pill.

There are scenarios you tackle the player.

Here is VVD in a similar situation to what you have been posting and won't allow us hear word about.

See how he tackled William? This and the one against sissoko is different so stop muddling things up. Yeah defending a 2v1 isn't hard but you could see the communication between VV and Allison. He clearly told him to stay put and not rush out while canceling the pass zone to Son.

IamD18:
If this story is true.

Then,I'm sorry, you married a man who cannot respect and protect you before his friends.

A man who's not worthy to be called a good husband or father.

You did nothing wrong, but my advice is; If the happiness and unity of your home is so important to you, do as he has insisted by apologising to his friend.

After doing that, make sure you avoid and stay clear from that his friend. He's not happy with your family and can do anything possible to get rid of you by breaking your home. A loyal friend will be sensible enough to know that it's somehow disrespectful to send his friend's wife on such an errand.

Be careful!
To what level would she continue such servitude?

Expect many more insults after this once she bows. I honestly don't understand the Dynamics of her house or family. But apologizing for doing nothing wrong would only worsen issues not solve them. You are just trying to avoid conflict not sort the main issue on ground.

Also one can't give advice based on only one side of the story. There are ways you present cases that maybe alot insulting than the act itself.

I would want to give the benefit of doubt to such friend that she did insult him but nonetheless reporting the wife to the husband over such thing seems like what an immature person would do because there's never going to be a positive outcome out of it.

If I were to be insulted in such scenario. Highest I would do is just avoid visiting again and not go talking about it to the husband.

Is it a new innovation that video calling is been used all over the world?

Companies, organisations, even individuals have been and are still using it till today. Skype is even getting outdated. And then it is used in a legal case in Nigeria, and that should be news?

You can keep deluding yourself with this form of progress. The internet is available for everyone. A good number of Nigerians can see where other parts of the world are heading to.

This is mediocrity. And I wish you and your household a happy celebration as you pop bottles for this.

Sigh smiley
You still don't get it I see.

Even in the USA . Laws are naturally slower than the rate at which society develops. Till today in the USA there are still new laws just covering technology that has been existent in the last 20 years and most times by the time they are passed such things have significantly changed. Just take a look at copyright laws and things like Deezer and Spotify that we currently have now.

Now imagine here in Nigeria where we even have it worse. The last time the Evidence Act was amended was in 2011. Just take a look at what technological feats have been achieved in the last 8 years. To allow someone be a witness via a Skype call might not be a big deal in the normal parlance. But in the legal sense of it . It is a big deal. Electronic evidence were not allowed because they weren't reliable and who exactly proves what in this context. How do you certify that an evidence being presented is the certified true copy and not a digital replica? There are a lot of issues around it and not something you discuss over a post.

So please learn and move on. Not everything you dig in and argue blindly on. Being educated means you are able to say I made a mistake when presented with superior facts. You shouldn't join the herd mentalitiy we have here on Nairaland.

You guys are just so ignorant you show it to the world Everytime.

This is a feat. The admissibility of electronic material as a primary evidence is still something that is contentious in Nigeria. To bring a primary witness using Skype is enough feat to show that the legal system is actually coming to terms with reality.

CareerRe: How To Cope With A 9 To 5 When You Are Not A Morning Person by onegig(m):
AryaSand:
OP, forget, late risers are usually not organised. You have to get them to start waking up early first before teaching them to be organized. It's a Process.

Here are Solutions.

(1) Get yourselfurself a very Loud alarm clock, with time you'll be waking up on your own, before the alarm clock even.
OR
(2) Find yourself a Live in Nocturnal Human whose job is to wake you up with Cold water every morning.
OR
(3) Own your own business (that way, you can sleep as you want)
Not being an early morning person means they can't function optimally in the morning. They are more alive at night and mostly drag through tasks in the morning.

How would the above solve it? It is not about waking up. It is about the routine. Their bodies are more relaxed to sleep in during the early hours while they are more active at night when all of us are tired and knackered.

To all those shouting price too high clearance sale blah blah blah I see no reaction from you when people offer 5k and 10k for a whole Dining table with 6 chairs. That's like saying each chair should be #500 or 1k and the table 2k or 4k.....

My question is, how much is a local benchhuh

Does clearance sale here mean one should dispose items free of chargehuh

Even if I'm to butcher a plank, I'll sell it more than 10k....

I sincerely have nothing against those negotiating at this rate rather, I blame those who know nothing about wooden furniture but came running everything down when they simply do not need it or can't afford it....

NB: This is a Dining with REAL wood that is polished not even sprayed.... Meaning, sand papering and polishing makes it new.... 2) It is a classical wooden dining and not a local bench......

Even a board of MDF wood is 7k as weak as it is....

Please this is not for those who offered an amount but those who simply think people should give items out for free because they need to relocate as if they won't spend money to furnish their new place.
I quite understand your pains but let's look at it this way.

The place of a dinning set is dead in most houses so those things loose huge value when it comes to resale.

Also you didn't state a minimum bid price and threw everything open . Some people would be mischievous and set a ridiculous price or low-ball you. Some can bid 1k even. It is your right to discard such and move on.

If you really want to sell. Look at the current market value of such items. Look at the health of the one you have and the timeline you have owned it for.

Do a depreciation calculation of 10 to 15% per year , deduct it from the current prices and set that as the minimum price.

Hello I'm a second year engineering student who just finished first year with a 4.11. The majority of my friends are on a 4.6 above and no, I'm not jealous of them because I know they worked harder than myself last year, I was busy mixing school with romance and play.

But now I was just wondering. Of course it's a new semester and students have begun reading already. At the end of the semester, some will have a 4.7, 4.3 others will get a 3.5, others even 2.8.
Why this difference when they all read and prepared from the start of the semester. What do first class graduates do that others don't.
I think more about discipline and learning key aspects of the courses. They can discern what the key areas of the courses are and they focus most of their energies on getting a hold of such aspects and they practice alot. For them reading a course multiple times is just normal.

Also talents comes to play sometimes. For some first class students, studies come effortlessly. Had a classmate that would drum all day and attend multiple church activities. He needed only 30mins to grab a concept in advanced calculus. Something I would have to study for weeks continously before I can even understand key concepts.

That is not true. If the parents are educated or value education and they don't have the funds for private school. Public school, a bit of extra help with school work and provision of textbooks will do wonders.
You sure have never attended a public primary school in Nigeria.

80% aren't schools but motor parks in the name of schools.

Crowded classes, extreme social vices and bullying, non stable school system due to strikes and whatnot, also zero control due to the sheer disparity in the ratio between students and teachers.

Infact at some point the students even have to buy chalk, paint the wall boards, pay PTA fees and still get absolutely nothing in terms of education. If you are talking about public Secondary schools I can still vouch to an extent that there are still good ones but primary? You just ruined the foundation of that kid by sending them to a public primary school.

I believe the issue of this 737 Max 8 is partly a factory error, maintenance and pilot technique!

Since some American airlines have refused to remove them from their fleet and are confidence of their "safety and airworthiness", then I guess the previous crashes involving Indonesia, China and now Ethiopia were due to carelessness on the part of the airline servicing crew! QED
You sure you are okay?

I hope Boeing doesn’t cover this up cos I’m 90% sure the fault was from the plane’s software/control system.. Or else how do explain a new plane that’s just a few months old crashing while we are able to fly our dinosaur-old planes here in Nigeria without any issues?
They can't. it's too early to make conclusions but excerpts from that Lion Air crash clearly stated that Boeing didn't inform airliners that there was a radical change as a result of the new MACS function in the new 737 Max 8. It wasn't listed on the manual as something significant. It was after that crash they sent bulletins as regards overriding such features out. They pushed the 737 Max 8 as just a cross over from previous 737 Models which is clearly false from current information.

And it all points to the fact that if it were to have been initially stated, it would have required costly training and certifications for Pilots to undertake so most Airliners would definitely have weighed the options they had in this era of lean cost skimming.

Air travel is not as profitable and most Airlines would basically go for alternate models like that of Airbus if they can shave off a few million dollars of their net spend. There you have your motivation for not been upfront with such.

But let's talk about the adaptor you talk about, any thing can get damage in the adapter ranging from the cable, transformer, capacitors etc in the adaptor.

The first thing to do when you have a charging fault check with another battery or adaptor before going for the motherboard.
Charging fault come in 3 ways.

Plugin in charging (but not increasing)
Plugin not charging
Battery not detected ( this is ogapatapata of them all)

If changing of battery and adaptor does not work then the next place to check is your motherboard.

And both were shortly after take off. That of Lion Air and now this.

I hope it's not the same issue of stalling during thrust else Boeing is in for a lot of trouble. It is unheard of for a new plane to crash due to technical faults and if that's the case here that's a lot troubling.

Heat board ? For a system that turns on and displays on the screen? The only time you may want to heat an "HP" board is when you have the infamous graphics issue where the system powers on but there's no display.

You can run a diagnostic yourself on the system by pressing f1 I think for hp and selecting diagnostics. From your narrative, I would wager it is an Hard disk issue.
