PSTEMMA1960:Oga...You buy naija used car? 99% of cars resold in Nigeria have extreme issues that's why the seller is selling.. People buying naija used cars and it turning to shit abounds around. If you are not a very versed car person, buying a Naija used car is asking for your premature death. A friend bought a 2012 Accord, they didn't drive past Gwags before the gasket blew, car overheat and had an engine knockout. It hard to take them using soldiers to get a fraction of the money back from the seller. The 1% are those relocating out of the country and need to raise cash. I would never sell a reliable car even if i am upgrading so forget all those stories sellers tell you. There's an underlying issue. Even the mechanics you carry along would close their eyes to obvious flaws. They only get their pay if you buy a car. So why would they block their payday? Also if the car has issues, you would always take it back to them. More money for them. Use your head. God gave you a brain. Please use it. Look much more keenly at your habits and actions. Not everything is spiritual abeg. |
ifyalways:God bless you. Not always do things have to be about spirituality. We sometimes hide under such rubbish to hide our own flaws. Instead of him to agree he failed in his responsibility and due diligence, he would blame some village people. Because of stupid religiosity we see a lot of that around here. So called religious men telling heir followers to drink hypo and all sorts . He goes on in life like this and he would fail woefully. Always seeing enemies instead of his own mistakes. Startups are hard, about 89% startups fail worldwide. Even in countries with serious infrastructures to help small businesses the failure rates are high let alone Nigeria where you have zilch support. He should go get a job and continue with the side hustle. You can always blend the two. |
This clearly shows the illiterates running the army. It seems like it's business as usual . Just like the incompetence you find in all our government office. Same thing you would find here. Not a single common sense. You discovered cache of arms. No survey to see if IEDs or the place has been wired with bombs or landmines. No coordination. They didn't even do a clear mapping of the area before they started filming. What if it was an ambush and BH were just out there waiting to lob bombs at them from a trench? What's even the biz of the soldier filming? Someone shouting some stupid commands in a language not understood by all. How do you want to pass instructions? See him describing the location they were to the other soldiers ccoming to meet them. "You make a slight turn"....slight turn to fcccking where. "After the river". Are they to follow the Flow of the river South? Or in the opposite direction? Not a single use of coordinates. That's the most basic thing any sensible soldier would know of. What have they been teaching them at NDA for goodness sake? See them packing guns and cylinders with hands without even checking if the safety catch is off or not so as to prevent accidental discharge. And those machines aren't anything special . They are just basic tools you using in bending iron that have been repurposed to fashion out weapons. No wonder they have been killing soldiers in their thousands. When you choose to run everything based on quota system and not merit, This is the results you get. This is an eyesore and I feel for people caught up in this conflict. They are just pawns to the stupidity of both sides. |
fairfora:Hmm ...Hakika.. All these stories. ![]() Africans when would we gain freedom from this enemy is following me servitude? |
Chelsea. Una Papa ![]() 2-0 |
If you ever think this country would get better. That's your response. Making money in Nigeria is about taking advantage of the other person . Those police and Naval officers would call it hustling. |
jerryunit48:Taxify drivers are mostly like that. Once they are on that app they throw decency to the wind. Took one and the transfer network was a lot itchy. Tried it twice and they debited twicd. For this guy to transfer the moneg back was a case . Reporting them to taxify yields nothing. That was the last time I used that app. At least Uber makes an effort but Taxify? Unruly drivers and users. |

raumdeuter:Guy. Take a chill pill. There are scenarios you tackle the player. https:///gifs/ygzlyRDRJ9Vsx6VpYf Here is VVD in a similar situation to what you have been posting and won't allow us hear word about. See how he tackled William? This and the one against sissoko is different so stop muddling things up. Yeah defending a 2v1 isn't hard but you could see the communication between VV and Allison. He clearly told him to stay put and not rush out while canceling the pass zone to Son. |
Vizzy4u:Instead of you to be supporting us to win so you could climb top 4 easily you are there hating on a team better than you lots. I know the scums are always empty loud mouths. Always shouting bottling , bottling when their team have been the ones bottling things up.

IamD18:To what level would she continue such servitude? Expect many more insults after this once she bows. I honestly don't understand the Dynamics of her house or family. But apologizing for doing nothing wrong would only worsen issues not solve them. You are just trying to avoid conflict not sort the main issue on ground. Also one can't give advice based on only one side of the story. There are ways you present cases that maybe alot insulting than the act itself. I would want to give the benefit of doubt to such friend that she did insult him but nonetheless reporting the wife to the husband over such thing seems like what an immature person would do because there's never going to be a positive outcome out of it. If I were to be insulted in such scenario. Highest I would do is just avoid visiting again and not go talking about it to the husband. |
izzou:You still don't get it I see. Even in the USA . Laws are naturally slower than the rate at which society develops. Till today in the USA there are still new laws just covering technology that has been existent in the last 20 years and most times by the time they are passed such things have significantly changed. Just take a look at copyright laws and things like Deezer and Spotify that we currently have now. Now imagine here in Nigeria where we even have it worse. The last time the Evidence Act was amended was in 2011. Just take a look at what technological feats have been achieved in the last 8 years. To allow someone be a witness via a Skype call might not be a big deal in the normal parlance. But in the legal sense of it . It is a big deal. Electronic evidence were not allowed because they weren't reliable and who exactly proves what in this context. How do you certify that an evidence being presented is the certified true copy and not a digital replica? There are a lot of issues around it and not something you discuss over a post. So please learn and move on. Not everything you dig in and argue blindly on. Being educated means you are able to say I made a mistake when presented with superior facts. You shouldn't join the herd mentalitiy we have here on Nairaland. |
izzou:You guys are just so ignorant you show it to the world Everytime. This is a feat. The admissibility of electronic material as a primary evidence is still something that is contentious in Nigeria. To bring a primary witness using Skype is enough feat to show that the legal system is actually coming to terms with reality. Not everything you react to. |
AryaSand:Not being an early morning person means they can't function optimally in the morning. They are more alive at night and mostly drag through tasks in the morning. How would the above solve it? It is not about waking up. It is about the routine. Their bodies are more relaxed to sleep in during the early hours while they are more active at night when all of us are tired and knackered. |
More reason why we tell people to travel out and experience other cultures. There are more rich people on a street in Kano than the whole LG that Omokri comes from. People see pictures of poor people online and think that's how it is all rounder. |
These set of officials are honestly mad. |
LoveWifee:I quite understand your pains but let's look at it this way. The place of a dinning set is dead in most houses so those things loose huge value when it comes to resale. Also you didn't state a minimum bid price and threw everything open . Some people would be mischievous and set a ridiculous price or low-ball you. Some can bid 1k even. It is your right to discard such and move on. If you really want to sell. Look at the current market value of such items. Look at the health of the one you have and the timeline you have owned it for. Do a depreciation calculation of 10 to 15% per year , deduct it from the current prices and set that as the minimum price. |
Durentt:I think more about discipline and learning key aspects of the courses. They can discern what the key areas of the courses are and they focus most of their energies on getting a hold of such aspects and they practice alot. For them reading a course multiple times is just normal. Also talents comes to play sometimes. For some first class students, studies come effortlessly. Had a classmate that would drum all day and attend multiple church activities. He needed only 30mins to grab a concept in advanced calculus. Something I would have to study for weeks continously before I can even understand key concepts. |
Dumb people. Go on replicating and using kids lives to be playing baba ijebu. Giving birth to 10s in the hopes that one makes it is like opening a blank cheque for poverty to sign away. |
Honestly, I wish there was a filter for the internet. Like you have a browser that you setup some keywords and filter out such keywords. I would pay a monthly fee to block all these rubbish out. Can anyone state one value these people are adding to the society? Zilch. I would close my eyes to maybe to someone with a bit creativity and weirdness but these bunch have no talent, no creativity and they push these wackos in our faces every single day. ![]() |
Sterope:There is a golf of difference between Public Primary and Public Secondary schools. Went to a Public Secondary School and I still can say my Biology, Chemistry, Yoruba, Geography and English Language teachers would rank in the top 50 teachers in Nigeria and you can say same for most Public Secondary schools. But please, Public Primary? You are looking for trouble. But Primary schools? Where the foundation is to be built is where you want to go toy with their brains? |

Sterope:You sure have never attended a public primary school in Nigeria. 80% aren't schools but motor parks in the name of schools. Crowded classes, extreme social vices and bullying, non stable school system due to strikes and whatnot, also zero control due to the sheer disparity in the ratio between students and teachers. Infact at some point the students even have to buy chalk, paint the wall boards, pay PTA fees and still get absolutely nothing in terms of education. If you are talking about public Secondary schools I can still vouch to an extent that there are still good ones but primary? You just ruined the foundation of that kid by sending them to a public primary school. |
horlique:Can't you guys read or don't you see the timestamps on the pic post that this was 16hours ago on Twitter. 16 hours ago was what? God the kind of mindless ignorance been shown on Nairaland is stupendous. |
prince3009:You sure you are okay? US won't protect their investments? Boeing is one of the biggest contributors to the GDP of the US .You think they would just throw them under the bus? So because US airlines aren't taking the step yet it is safe when there were obvious non communication? |
africandollar:They can't. it's too early to make conclusions but excerpts from that Lion Air crash clearly stated that Boeing didn't inform airliners that there was a radical change as a result of the new MACS function in the new 737 Max 8. It wasn't listed on the manual as something significant. It was after that crash they sent bulletins as regards overriding such features out. They pushed the 737 Max 8 as just a cross over from previous 737 Models which is clearly false from current information. And it all points to the fact that if it were to have been initially stated, it would have required costly training and certifications for Pilots to undertake so most Airliners would definitely have weighed the options they had in this era of lean cost skimming. Air travel is not as profitable and most Airlines would basically go for alternate models like that of Airbus if they can shave off a few million dollars of their net spend. There you have your motivation for not been upfront with such. |
udemzyudex:I see it took you hours just to get to this level. Well done though. Baby steps needs to be applauded. ![]() Take care. |
GBOKASINCHA:Even Military Pilots with years of training have to undergo extreme training before chutting out of an helicopter let alone a turbulent Aircraft moving at thousands of km/hr. You are safer inside with the compressed air than outside in a free fall. |
Too early but that's the second Boeing 737 Max brand new plane crashing in less than 6months of purchase. And both were shortly after take off. That of Lion Air and now this. I hope it's not the same issue of stalling during thrust else Boeing is in for a lot of trouble. It is unheard of for a new plane to crash due to technical faults and if that's the case here that's a lot troubling. Condolences to the families |
herveze:Heat board ? For a system that turns on and displays on the screen? The only time you may want to heat an "HP" board is when you have the infamous graphics issue where the system powers on but there's no display. You can run a diagnostic yourself on the system by pressing f1 I think for hp and selecting diagnostics. From your narrative, I would wager it is an Hard disk issue. |
