can you imagine the rubbish these guys are typing? He should drop off an admission till next year because of a difference of 90k? Do you know what he would have lost in a year would be worth much more than that? Are you guys telling there aren't 90 Nigerians on Nairaland who could donate just 1k each to help this guy? @Youngkingjaey Send me a PM but please note I would require all details. I am sure there a lot of people on here who would be willing to chip in 1 or 2k to help your cause. |

Positivepoint:Served at the border town between Kano and Katsina and God there were days I just felt like disappearing into thin air. Nose completely blocked. Breathing in sharp cold dusty air through your mouth and hands freezing, dry and caking. Finished a jar of Vaseline within weeks The only saving grace was that the sun goes up early enough like around 12 to bring the cold down. Nights were like freezing ice. |
Rozaytee:I love my body that's why I didn't come a woman ![]() |
rusher14:You seem to be dumb. Yeah PDP or whatever accumulated whatever high debts. Why increase it when you are just going to be using it to finance the renovation or the National Assembly, buying cars for legislators and paying for salaries? |
chival:Thank goodness you put "crazy" because it is indeed crazy. I honestly believe women are just being conditioned to accept pain as the norm. I got a colleague that goes through mind numbing menstrual cycles that she can't just function when on. There are hundreds of millions of ladies suffering same and we have not found a way around finding a solution to such things as advanced as our medicine and technology as reached. I hope I am not derailing the thread. |
eyinjuege:More reason I really don't get women in Nigeria and their overjoy to just get pregnant. If I were to be a woman . God knows I would fuxkkking stay away from.pregnancy. You loose your body, you are burdened for 9months and even after that you either get depressed and suicidal from post partum depression or this above. Add to the risks of childbirth and the stress of sleepless night tending to babies. I can't really wrap my head why women are so joyous to go through all these multiple times. Like are you guys masochists and love pain and trouble so much? ![]() |
You all see why Nigeria can never be great? Divide this country and give it to states. You would see worse. The country is reeking in debt but Governors aren't even trying to run a Lean Government but are buying liabilities like cars renovating buildings on money they loaned o. |
phorget:All the videos I have seen of the Nigerian Army fighting BH shows a clear lack of tactical awareness. Maybe it's me but honestly they seem to throw caution to the winds, behave irrationally and there seems to be no leader on the battle front. Is this because of a lack of proper training or due to the Nigerian factor where unqualified people are put in positions because they are just connected? Yeah I know it's a guerrilla warfare they are facing but there are better methods than running through a battle line in open air without a formation or strategy. Imagine the guy was even shouting watch before you shoot someone. I don't how there won't be lots of friendly fires In their battles. The last video I saw one Soldier who was in charge of the regiment was commanding them to use hands to park guns like fufu. He couldn't even use basic geography to describe his location to his incoming guys who he was radioing. As for the op. Good work they are doing. I wish them lots of strengths and safety whilst fighting for the peace of the nation. |
Biodun1929:I would not take a free house with free WiFi and even pool on that axis. The area is just unsafe for any sane human. The road at night feels like passing through an unlighted tunnel no single street light works from Costain down to Mile 2 and you now have the nerve wrecking traffic on that axis. I doubt policing would do much for those areas honestly, it's a mixture of extreme poverty mixed with social vices. |
kabukabu50:I don't mind paying if they are actually keeping the beaches clean and there's a purpose and accountability for such collections. They don't. It's one alaye sitting somewhere taking in the money. 99% of beaches in Lagos looks like you are going to a landfill. With all the hype Takwa bay gets on Nairaland. I felt irritated visiting there some few weeks back . Yeah I know it's low tide due to the seasons but at least it should be clean. The water was literally black and plastics filled everywhere. Goats were roaming the beach front and even beggars were just flocking round you waiting to grab stuff off you. And there's a toll they collect. |
Can Nairaland mods stick the account details on the first page. I.e edit the first post of the OP and include the necessary information. It is hell sieving through 10s of pages just to search for what account to transfer to. Seun, Mukina2 please help. Also please people should avoid that Orile , Badia towards Mile 2 at night. Some people living on that axis are animals , the gory they go through daily has made them so desentized to humanity. I happened to drive through that side some few months back and they were happily passing by a guy with his eyes gorged out. I can't imagine what happens at night on those roads. Like WTF.... Wishing this lady speedy recovery and to the guy. You are humanity personified. Every single day we see people who spurn and turn to wickedness. Your type and act is one thing that still sometimes give me hopes that something good can actually come out of humanity. |
SaintHilary:Dirty beaches with touts charging fees for entry and even car parking while the beach is littered with plastics and dirt all around while they do nothing about it? No beach should you pay to get to. It is only in Lagos that people pay gate fees to access dirty beaches. |
RexTramadol1:Then he should approach the Court of Law . If you really do have the C of O that's quite easy to win. Why is he not approaching the Court of Law? I expected him to be stating that he is suing the state government. For any righteous person if you feel you have been wronged , you go to the court of law. His statement up there clearly shows they either don't have the C of O of that land. |
Mike4S:You made the biggest mistake. Not changing the locks. The old tenant there had the keys or he had spares with someone else who just used it to their advantage. First rule when moving into new apartments. Change the locks. |
When j tell people we lost the league last season because Trent was injured in January, many thought I was just finding excuses. Most of our attacks and switch of play comes through the young guy. He is exceptional and makes us tick . Without him in the team feels like half our attacking prowess is gone. |
Nice gesture but she just exposed her dad to kidnappers and all sort of vices. Why people can't keep their private matters private bothers me. Siasia's mom has been kidnapped thrice and now you just had to show yourself to the world. |
rtdCivilservant:They didn't review anything. As far back as mid 2000ish English and Geography exams was like a piece of cake to me ,never read for such exams and still came out in flying colours. Least I had in both was 79. That's 160 marks already. Have an average of 60 in the two others which was easy to attain and you are already in the 280 region. I wasn't even in the top 15 of the most brilliant in school back then. Now imagine those guys we termed scholars. ![]() A kid who studies all 4 effortlessly would easily have those high scores like 320ish. Also the internet has just made these exceptional scores more prominent. Nothing has changed. |
Next time you would raise your mouth and shout that our politicians are corrupt. You just carried out the exact same thing. Using your power to wrongly influence the status of things. Imagine what you would do if you had more power? That's just the basic I could read from your post. |
The person that would run mad into the market square would first lose all sense of listening... Common sense should tell this people that life is very transient . You are up there and saying outrightly ludicrous things. Even if it is a single person protesting, you have no right whatsoever to hold a man against his will. |
CptCharlesVane:They won't listen. The greatest problem we have as a collective people is not telling ourselves that having too many kids is a very big drain and can actually limit your progress. What do you need 4, 5 , 6 kids for ? Maybe in the 80s this was sustainable. There's no way in hell you can sustain, grow a biz with so much kids draining from your resources. And there are people who have multiple kids from multiple women. The cost of providing for a single school aged kid is an average of 30k , if you have 4 that's 120k already. When you factor in the costs of schooling and providing adequately for them then you are really going to be putting a lot of strain on your finances to the point you would be denying the other kids of any quality of life. Why do you want to put those kids through such misery is what I really can't wrap my head around. |
Kestolove:At this point I think Buhari and his handlers are actually deranged. |
The idiot Aregbe sacrificed a whole school deep in lots of culture and one of the best public schools in terms of infrastructure for this thrash of a mall? |
kenny714433:Not discounting your thoughts but this is the first time in a long while that the FG is doing anything for Lagos in terms of roads given that the state was a former Federal Capital and most major roads in the State is owned by the FG. The state still holds the largest number of people in the country and is the commercial nerve centre of the country. I understand that development has to go round but I guess that's why each state has a REP or Senator to hammer home the needs of their people. Also I am sure if you check the list well you should see a road in Akwa Ibom that is been fixed. By the way I just stated my position about Lagos . I don't hold brief from the FG. ![]() |
kenny714433:I wouldn't doubt that number honestly. In Lagos alone there are about 6 Federal roads undergoing construction or repair. 1. The entire stretch of both Lanes of 3rd mainland bridge was just fixed. 2. Apapa Oshodi Express way being handled by Dangote. 3. Apongbonn to inner marina fix 4. CMS inward Bonny camp link bridge fix. 5. Stadium to Ojuelegba reasphalt and fixing of those bad bridge linkages . All those projects are FG projects not the Lagos State govt project. 6. Lagos ibadan expressway reconstruction. That's just 6 off hand and I know other states would have similar projects. Even if it is a single kilometer that was fixed. It is still a project. There is still a lot more to be done as we need newer roads and open up new places but I wouldn't doubt that figure up there |
mctfopt:I heard someone complaining about him changing gas suppliers as it seems that most of them don't add Ethyl Mercaptan anymore because they are trying to cut corners or so. Ethyl Mercaptan is what makes cooking gas smell so as to make it easier to detect a leak. In the Nigeria of today, I don't think that's impossible. |
Nexus25:You see why self diagnosis is so wrong? You just prescribed Terbinafine to him without telling him the health implications.. Anyone male using Terbinafine is HIGHLY advised not to have sex or impregnate a lady as the foetus may come with serious complications like deformed head and heart diseases. Also it is not to be taken while you drink alcohol as it reacts with it. Also not to be taken by people prone to hypertension. They would never even prescribe it to you if your family has an history of hypertension. But here you just prescribed the drugs without even considering his weight, diet type or health history. Please OP go to a recognized teaching hospital. Most fungal infections are very toxic and takes a lot time to heal. Sometimes years of continous drug use. Also some can only be managed and not totally healed from. Most drugs prescribed actually just limits their growths and builds your immune system to fight the fungi. So it's better you visit a dermatologist and let them take culture of the puss , run a scan and determine what exactly is the ailment. There is no village people involved any where |
baal:Not all braking scenarios end up with the car thrusting forward alone. Yeah I understand inertia but the car can spin after an abrupt stepping of the brake thus throwing the kids out of the back. There are lots near misses where the back tyre swings right, there is no barrier that would holding those kids in place. The basic is that car ain't safe. |
Safety is over underrated in Nigeria. If an accident happens now or even just a slight abrupt stop by the driver and those kids would be flung out of the back, that's when everyone would be shouting village people. Prior to that, we didn't take a step back to look at how our little inactions led to such deaths or accidents. |
Wiseandtrue:Yeah indeed. Same people pushed Mompha into laundering money? Not everything is a conspiracy theory. There are valid pointers in the article. Because if public procurement rules were actually followed , I doubt people like Onyema might have won the contract for such Amnesty programs because from basic checks they don't have the footprints in such areas. Heck, no one even knows him before then. We should start asking questions. |
nanaman:He did it because his friends own Sam and Sam and they import cheap rubbish materials from China and collect money from the State. First they stripped the local tailors and businesses one key aspect of their income which sewing school children's clothes and also killed the local clothing market. We all shout about capital flight but most of our so called dumb leaders know nothing about governance. Someone not fit to fun a pure water factory aspiring to run a State with millions of inhabitants. I can't imagine people who are already rich would go to such lenghts to improverish thousands of artisans just so they can make a few million bucks. Stories I heard from the scheme aren't good tales at all. Forget the buying of Uniforms for kids. Laudable but you can't run a totally "socialist government" where people rely on government for all basic necessities. In this one he didn't even run a socialist government, took from his citizens. Gave an huge slize to China and the crumbs were inherited by his fellow crownies. |
The report or whatever looks a lot light and not credible. Except they are not stating all the facts or have other information they are withholding. The DEA doesn't fuc..kk around but this is nothing jare based on the brief report I have seen. Feels like a report arranged by a 12 year old. Nothing solid was stated in this report abeggi. No actual dates, no specific months in those years. No bank names, nothing concrete except the fact that he moved money from an account he owned to another aviation company that was fronting for him and received credit notes. I guess we should all stop making a judgement until we have details or he his actually prosecuted. |
