They are honestly mad in this country. I can see why we can never ever grow. Another billion would be sunk into this and stolen. Give it 3 years and the airline is bankrupted and looted to the ground.. By the way, we can now see the effects of the useless education being passed to people in our higher institutions. How would owning an airline improve the rate at which foreign investors flock into a state? Like seriously? A governor actually spout that out and he wasnt called out on such BS? |
The most important one for those who walk at night and early mornings. Enter buses at the parks. Don't stop a moving bus. Also even if you are entering at the park. Ensure the inner light is on. All danfos have it. If it is off kindly do not enter else you want to be a victim of one chance. |
Lorenzop:Man utd in the league. |
fadasss:You would be suprised tomorrow would be different. Klopp has not beat Mourinho in the Premier League because we had deficiency in the backline in the past which made going gung-ho to beat teams that park the bus a bit tricky and hard. There's more solidity at the back now that gives more flexibility to the midfield to venture out more. I can assure you this would be ending 2-0 or more in favor of Liverpool. |
Very stupid reasoning. |
judey1992:It's like a festival. Can't remember well but it's mostly annually. They gather around at a designated place. Sometimes the palace of the Emir and lots of spinsters are always available for marriage at that time. They present her to the crowd and encourage guys to engage in a battle to win her love. They use sticks to hit each other. The last man standing who could withstand the hit and not fidget or fall gets to marry the lady on offer. It goes on and on like that. This isn't the only thing they do during the festival. There are other interesting activities like dance processions and lots. Source: They had one close to where we stayed while I was a kid. |
PBseller1340:These are the people we are talking about. Later we complain about people in power when the average Nigerian is worse. Remembered same happened to the Hard drives used in the 2007 elections Items bought for elections now sold on the open market. |
NessaBoo:Beautiful imperfection is still the best ever she made. Every single track on that Album was just pure bliss. Wasn't too impressed by the Bed of stones Album. Some of the tracks seemed forced or maybe it's me. I kinda like more instrumentals going with the voice but most tracks on Bed of stones were a lot boring without that "asa spark" in that aspect. |
Fake images. That's not Nigeria. Even the camouflage worn by the guy behind does not reflect that of the Nigerian army. Looks more like the Ugandan Army or so. People should stop posting things they have no verifiable information for. Edit.... A reverse image search shows this happened in Guinea and not even Nigeria.
|
larion:Leave them to be pushing rubbish around. Azure, office 365, Cloud computing, cyber security. Any certifications around these are hot cakes as of now and for the next 10 years. |
einsteine:No mind them . Sold for 10pounds but liabilities running into hundreds of millions. |
cephaswizzy:They are a consulting firm. They have clients they recruit for. Doesn't have to be internal. In all those positions listed only one or two is internal. The rest are for their clientele. |
Optional09:You guys are gullible. So because one so called foreigner wrote an article. It must all be true. Can you imagine an Irish company not heard of before claiming $9bn as damages. How much does Nigeria make? I am not privy to the details of the contract but I won't be suprised if they signed the contract and it was very unfair to the country after they had greased the hands of politicians back then a la Halliburton and Malabu. Yeah, you don't renege on agreements but not agreements where your country is sold into slavery because few people gained a few million dollars. To hell with her op-ed. The article seems more like someone with a personal vendetta and not one written with a clear conscience. She did not give facts about the contracts nor the full details of what the country stands to gain.We should be asking the UK minister, what's his/her benefits from this? No be today them don sign useless contracts to loot Africans dry. When all we have are clueless presidents and followers who don't see beyond buying cheap luxuries. |
That's common for VI and Ikoyi. Over-inflated prices of items in some stores. Forgot to bring my shorts for a weekly football session, decided to get in a store nearby and they told me 32k was the least price for a short they had. This was not the complete jersey and from the label it was the counterfeit. I jejely turned back and missed training for that week. You hear things like 25k slippers, 12k groundnut. They have their target audience which are the foreigners or expatriates who when they do the conversion to the dollar feel it is justifiable to buy such. 1500 pencil is just like $3.50. Wouldn't be out of place to buy pencils at such price in the US or Uk. |
DTaj:I wish I can quote this a thousand times. They said old habits die hard. He still has not changed from that habit of blaming others for his own failures. |
rusher14:No mind the ogogoro master . Trying to rewrite history. Himself and wife coupled with his associates did their worse to sink their already abysmal performance. Have we all forgotten how Jonathan told us to keep faith with bombings happening North and South? That such also happen world over. Meaning it was natural. Or we forget how daily it was a tale of one brazen corruption or the other. Or the fact that his own ministers were painting doomsday even when oil was at $70. Or have we forgotten that banks and almost all institutions were closing at 12pm back in 2014/2015 because of no energy and non availability of diesel to power their generators? He can write utter rubbish in his book but it still doesn't change the fact that even he knew he couldn't win a second term and was schemig for a single term of 6 years as early as 2012. He turned back when the opposition to that was much and no one supported such. Even in 2015, he didn't want to run for fear of loosing . Had to take his wife to be pushing him to rerun. I am sure if PDP had a primary for presidential election. Jonathan would have lost. That's to show you how low his popularity was. We have always had shallow leaders but Jonathan takes the cake with his cluelessness followed by Buhari(at least Buhari still has one or two ministers with common sense) but the entire cabinet save for the Agric minister back then weren't even qualified to be high school principals. Imagine having Wike as the Minister for Education. God! We have had it rough in this country. |
Dollypizzle13:Like seriously? So money in crypto currency is made in heaven or what? That alone should be enough for you to run Faraway from anyone telling you such tales by moonlight. |
ShenTeh:Walahi Shenthen. You fall my hand big time. I couldn't have thought you would invest in an HYIP. But anyways you have learnt. As for joint investment I doubt I can do that. Money can turn people to something else. |
CodeTemplar:I don't disagree about such ideas. But they cost a fuckton of money. We can't use an isolated case here to judge the outcome of such process. A lot is special about transmission in Nigeria. A singular 245kv tower would cost average 6million naira . Now imagine you needing 1000 of those to wheel power around from Warri to Abuja at 2 per km. This does not even include cost of the cables let alone workmanship. Clearing of forests. Areas needing reinforced bases , right of way, compensation for demolished buildings on the right of way. All these costs money. Better to decentralize it for more efficiency. We should be exploring more natural gas and even cleaner coal. |
CodeTemplar:You know why we aren't taken serious? Because the citizens aren't informed and keep on making wild statements. Is it only Power stations you would build? How are you going to wheel the electricity? I can assure you only Nepa poles and transformers for the whole of Surulere would cost $5m. When you argue things out do it with more background facts. Till today, we lose power because our 331kv transmission lines are not optimal and can't carry large swats of electricity. Also the way things are centralized makes overhauling a big issue. You generate light in Shiroro ship it down to Osogbo for stepping down before you send it to the power grid? Like who designed such shitty plans? Also most equipment were moribund. Old transformers, old service points, old and outdated load sharing centres. Those are where the fund for power went to and as much as people criticize Obasanjo he had an idea and roadmap. Not one single investment had been done in the power sector in 30years before he came. Are you still suprised that 11years after he left power we still have not made much improvement? Till today, there are still new NIPP equipments that are been used, new NIPP centres that are just been completed.. This doesn't mean that there wasn't corruption involved but CU's case is an isolated issue. I am sure they didn't have to factor in distribution to their costs. So please calm down. |
openmine:Why would a player steal his girlfriend? How do they want meet sef.. ![]() |
crazygod:We are creative enough jare. Klopp just needs to move Salah back to the right and Firimio as a false 9. This 10 does not suit him. More like 4-2-3-1. For all the stick Henderson gets we play more fluidly when he is on the pitch. |
ZombiePUNISHER:We were robbed against Arsenal. It all pans out in the end. |
spokesboy:It's a personal thing . Some have phobia for airplanes. Also experience shape thought processes. Some would never take a night bus because of the inherent dangers. You don't have to press p. I don't, because they aren't a necessity where I stay. I would rather drive long hours than take all those passenger boats I see in Lagos. The numerous stories i hear about passenger ferry services ain't encouraging. If you work in that sector and have better information you can definitely enlighten us. Edited.. just check the above post by Zionista as another evidence of my fears. |
I can't take a boat ride but out of necessity I took a ride in Sierra Leone some weeks back and the safety and organization was top notch. I didn't even know I was on water. They were on time, had life vest under each sit, the ride was smooth not withstanding that the water was a bit turbulent. They had emergency procedures and so on and the irony is the company running it is owned by a Nigerian. That's a country that just ended a war a decade or so back. I can never enter a boat ride in Lagos. I can't imagine going on such suicide ride. I doubt they are regulated and l am more scared because of the Nigerian character that seems to take safety for granted. In case of emergencies I doubt there's a single back up plan to save you and the most cringeworthy thing is, most don't even give you functional life vests. |
So what is special about this? Not like the fire cut off the road . Not everything is news worthy abeg. Except the wildfire was closing in on her location. This was a lot stupid to have been done. Poor visibility, articulated cars and thick smokes. Not an ideal situation you should be driving in. To be recording this.... I won't be suprised it was done for the gram |
Sterope:Where you dey go? Uber dey na |
This is an old pic. Guy I pass through that road on a weekly basis and what they have in front of the hospital is actually interlocking stones and not coal tar like your image is depicting. Also those two centre man holes were removed as far back as 4 to 5 years ago sef. So why are you circulating old pictures? |
Richdad50:Same fox news that is carrying incorrect news and lies that people in the caravan have Small pox and other deadly diseases? A disease that has been eradicated since the 1970s? If anything Fox news is headquarters of fake news. |
LadyHal1:I would support him on this. Yes. Citizen by birth should be the norm but the loopholes is that people now go to the US while pregnant on a visitor Visa get there and give birth. Their main aims aren't to visit or get the best medical help but just to guarantee the child US citizenship. It's very open to abuse and should be made more stringent. Someone who is not contributing to the economy of a country should not benefit from the works of millions of others who have laboured to build such countries up. If you want citizenship by birth it should be attached to the fact that the parents have been residents of the US for at least 2 to 5 years. This would discourage people going there just to seek citizenship for their kids. |
carrascocity:I told you 5 goals... |

Were you a Muslim and a Northerner when the same people voted for you in 2011? Was your name Abdullahi Balarabe, from Sokoto state, when they voted you in 2011?
