DeathStroke007:There is no 'who', but rather 'how' it happens. That is the question to ask. We know chemically how it happens and scientists are working on being able to do this in a lab. |
OLAJADON:They are all over the internet. Google is your friend. Here is one, however: Referring to the battle of Badr: "[Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another." (Quran 8:9) "[Remember] when you said to the believers, "Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down?" (Quran 3:124) Is it 3000 or 1000? Muhammad is mistaken here. And no, I am not confused; I've read the entire Quran, thousands of hadith, much of the sirat, and a fair amount of the tafsir ibn Kathir. There is nothing about the Quran that is remotely miraculous. |
JackBizzle:This is from Fox News, a news channel that caters to fanatical Christians. Anyone being interviewed would be aware of that. However, take a look at these survey results, conducted by a reputable organization regarding overall happiness, broken down by many things, including country, education level, and religion. This was published not even a month ago. On pages 28 and 29 you will find happiness and religious identification. The non-religious (atheists and agnostics) had the highest levels of net happiness..... http://www.wingia.com/web/files/richeditor/filemanager/WINGIA_Final_Press_Release_EOY_2015.pdf |
CoolUsername:Only $5? God is watching you and knows you could give at least $50. It is January, so 'first fruits' and all.... ![]() |
RaDaZaBaNa:You can call yourself a deist or a non-religious theist, depending on whether on not you actually believe that this god interferes in human affairs. |
Hoothman:Hopefully one day when you are praying you will realise that you are just talking to yourself. Allah is just as real as Zeus, Sango, Olodumare, and all the other myths. |
MrAJQ:Well then maybe the author of the Quran should have taken some writing classes, because the Quran, like the Bible, has plenty of contradictions and errors. |
Speechless3:If you choose to join in a thread that is expressly directed at atheists, you have to expect to see some pushback from us. |
My name is in the Bible as well. I therefore claim to be a prophet. Now give me money and women. |
johnydon22:Well said. In real life I have said to believers that I have faith that the sun will rise tomorrow in the west. When they point out how absurd it is I tell them that my faith is so strong that no 'doubting Thomas' can dissuade me from believing. And that moreover they should actually admire my faith. |
The Bible is riddled with errors, contradictions, and absurdities. I recommend the following site for pointing out such errors. The site also has the Quran as well with all of its errors and absurdities. http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/ |
johnydon22:I seriously cannot understand why the OP would think that his rubbish post would work on an atheist. But I suppose that he has never actually been around us, so that may explain it. |
personal59:It's kind of funny that the person who wrote this complains about being judged when that is all she is doing in this rant. And for the vast majority of people, the hijab is not a problem, but the niqab is because it hides the face. And if Allah has indeed written everyone's story before they were born, then the people who are judging you are simply doing what Allah willed them to do. ![]() |
I have lived a rewarding, fulfilling, and happy life without any belief in religion or any gods. Religion is not necessary to enjoy life. in fact atheists may even be happier than believers. |
Godwin2016:Lol, you do realize that the owner of the site is an atheist? And if you do not learn to love Him and His word then you are doomed for everSo.....love him or he will punish me? What kind of love is that? Your god sounds like a pervert. |
DeathStroke007:From the Book of Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad) from Sahih Bukhari Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Know that Paradise is under the shades of swords." A man came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "Instruct me as to such a deed as equals Jihad (in reward)." He replied, "I do not find such a deed." Then he added, "Can you, while the Muslim fighter is in the battle-field, enter your mosque to perform prayers without cease and fast and never break your fast?" The man said, "But who can do that?" Abu- Huraira added, "The Mujahid (i.e. Muslim fighter) is rewarded even for the footsteps of his horse while it wanders bout (for grazing) tied in a long rope." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A single endeavor (of fighting) in Allah's Cause in the forenoon or in the afternoon is better than the world and whatever is in it." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Nobody who dies and finds good from Allah (in the Hereafter) would wish to come back to this world even if he were given the whole world and whatever is in it, except the martyr who, on seeing the superiority of martyrdom, would like to come back to the world and get killed again (in Allah's Cause)." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is! Were it not for some men amongst the believers who dislike to be left behind me and whom I cannot provide with means of conveyance, I would certainly never remain behind any Sariya' (army-unit) setting out in Allah's Cause. By Him in Whose Hands my life is! I would love to be martyred in Allah's Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred. A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked, "A man fights for war booty; another fights for fame and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in Allah's Cause?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who fights that Allah's Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights in Allah's Cause." |
DeathStroke007: I'd at least like to know why you think sunnah.com is fake. And please direct me to another website which has both Bukhari's and Muslim's full hadith collection online. |
Godwin2016:Sorry to tell you, but the scientists and engineers who have already gone to hell have created central air-conditioning and the place is a nice even 23 degrees. |
This is great, but it is more for humanists than atheists (although many humanists are also atheist). Atheism has no creed or dogma, unlike humanism. |
Chibuzoc:For each of these you should put "Muslims believe that..." at the beginning because the Quran being 'revealed' is not a fact, rather a belief held by Muslims. Non-Muslims generally believe that Muhammad composed the Quran himself, possibly with help from his companions. |
fedex01:I wouldn't say the Bible is corrupted because the whole story was made up in the first place. There is no true 'myth', therefore any version can be considered correct. Jesus, if he existed, was just a guy who claimed to be the messiah, like some other people who made the same claim. But all this other stuff about virgin birth and miracles and 'son of god' is just nonsense. |
DeathStroke007:Just follow the link and look for yourself, there are dozens of hadiths. And the last hadith is on the same link. |
It looks like you have been browsing some atheist pages somewhere. Good for you! ![]() If you agree with the content of these memes, then I'd say you are pretty close to an atheist, or maybe a deist or agnostic. |
tartar9:The problem is that the Quran is so vague that it doesn't actually say either way that the earth is flat or round. If, in reality, the earth were actually flat then you could interpret the Quran in such a way to prove that the Quran was correct. So, whether the earth is flat or round, the Quran confirms either one. By the way, don't be too sure that the Tafsir ibn-Kathir gets it right: Quran 2:22 "Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth)." Quran 2:29 "He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things" Here is the interpretation given by Ibn Kathir: "These Ayat indicate that Allah started creation by creating earth, then He made heaven into seven heavens. This is how building usually starts, with the lower floors first and then the top floors" This is not suggestive of a spherical earth. In any case the 'heavens' existed long before the earth, not the other way around. Both the Quran and ibn Kathir are wrong. |
DeathStroke007:Just a quick question. If jihad is not about war then why is this chapter (link below) from Sahih Bukhari called "Book of Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)"? Look at the hadiths. Virtually all of them are about war and fighting and it is very clear that jihad refers to fighting/war. If jihad was not essentially about fighting, then why are so many of these hadiths about just that? http://www.sunnah.com/bukhari/56 Also while looking at this I found a cool hadith: "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said "If there is any evil omen in anything, then it is in the woman, the horse and the house." Nice to see what he thought of women. |
I've known a couple of people kind of like this Two things: One, I would not share a bed with a naked man--tell him to put something on. Second, he should not be sitting on any furniture (chair or sofa) without wearing boxers or some other shorts. It's just not clean. I have some friends who let their little kids sit on their sofa naked (usually watching TV whilst waiting to take their bath), and I will not sit on that sofa. Plastic chair for me please. But if he wants to stroll around for a few minutes while he is drying off after a bath--no problem. I don't see any threat to you--he probably isn't gay, he just does not see nudity the same way you do. |
Good songs by Bowie: Let's Dance Young Americans Changes Space Oddity Ashes to Ashes (really cool video) China Girl Ziggy Stardust (my favourite) Heroes Suffragette City RIP |
JasmineKayla:The professor is right in the sense that neither exist. However, they are different myths. |
Photos of white 'leaders' posing with African children are very common. I wonder when we will have a photo of an African leader posing with a bunch of white children? Next time Buhari goes to the UK he should visit a school in a white area and take a picture with the kids. |
Love among Muslims but not for non-Muslims, in fact it is discouraged to socialize with non-Muslims, except to promote Islam. "O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliya' (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but Auliya' to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as Auliya', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers and unjust)." ~Quran 5:51Here is the tafsir (explanation) of the above verse from ibn-Kathir, one of the most respected of all the explainers of the Quran: Allah forbids His believing servants from having Jews and Christians as friends, because they are the enemies of Islam and its people, may Allah curse them. Allah then states that they are friends of each other and He gives a warning threat to those who do this, ('And if any among you befriends them, then surely he is one of them.') Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that `Umar ordered Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari to send him on one sheet of balance the count of what he took in and what he spent. Abu Musa then had a Christian scribe, and he was able to comply with `Umar's demand. `Umar liked what he saw and exclaimed, "This scribe is proficient. Would you read in the Masjid a letter that came to us from Ash-Sham'' Abu Musa said, `He cannot.'' `Umar said, "Is he not pure'' Abu Musa said, "No, but he is Christian.'' Abu Musa said, "So `Umar admonished me and poked my thigh (with his finger), saying, `Drive him out (from Medina).' He then recited, "(O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends...)"Obviously many Muslims do not abide by this and freely make friends with non-Muslims, but the Quran cannot be ignored, especially when it is explained like this in one of the most respected tafsirs. |
urheme:I agree. This is not a spiritual problem, this is a mental disorder. OP should really go and talk to a psychologist and not a pastor. |
Shafiiimran99:It is believed that he said that Shaykh Ibrahima Niasse, the Senegalese tijaniya sufi leader, was bigger than Muhammad. |
