I say so because we are no more in the time of Solomon when God dwelled in a physical temple or tabernacle and everybody must come there before they can worship him.

While many are hungry, jobless and with various degree of pressing needs that man can solve if only they care a little more.

What really is the Ambition and real purpose of the modern Church and are they fulfilling it

Any advice on what to do?
Started dating this girl earlier this year and I asked her out at a very low point in my life... I was depressed and I had just messed up my previous relationship. I guess I just needed serious validation that a girl could still like me. She is nice and I think she sincerely loves me, doesn't ask for much and is DTF (does pretty much everything I ask). Now I am just tired of the sham dating, during the course of the "relationship" I have slept with and dated like 2 other girls and I'm not so proud of that. So I don't know what to do, I'm scared that if I call it quits, she might v do something drastic to herself *I know her that well. Please Nairalanders advice me on the best way to go about it. NB all my friends say I should continue, that "na she go tire".

Tithe is meant to be paid in the house of God. It is meant for church use. Giving to the poor and needy is very important but what ever u give to the poor is not called 'TITHE'. Lets stop this self deciet.

Giving your tithes to the poor is a misplaced priority. Do not be crafty in things of God, your tithes belong to the church no the poor and that you pay your tithe doesn't stop you from helping the poor. Greedy is unarguably the root cause of tithes controversy. I don't care if it's old or New Testament, just that the word of God can not broken.

If every one of the congregation decides to give their tithes to the beggars in the community, how do you take care of the following?

1. maintenance of the church
2. payment of workers in the church
3. payment of bills

Meanwhile my focus is not on this so-called new generational churches, so you don't look at my view in a different perspective. And to answer your question, church is not the building. The congregations are the church, but we are talking about the building and infrastructures.

What you are doing is completely wrong. God said in Malachi chapter 3 that you should pay your tithe to God and not as aid to the needy. Just bear in mind you are not paying tithe and hence robbing God according to the scripture. You give arms to the needy from your remaining 90% not Gods 10%.

Giving to the poor is not a bad thing but the Bible's instruction is clear. What the church does with it is none of your business. Besides if you aare attending a church where you feel they don't need your tithe, why then are you attending that church?
