Family › Re: Ladies How Would You React by Outstrip(f): 6:10pm On Aug 05, 2009
Pittbaby:
Unless you are in her shoes it is difficult to predict how you will react . A baby on the way always complicates matter. Only under very extreme circumstances will I ever advise anyone to leave their Husband (or wife).

I would ask to her to get  a complete STD screening for herself and her Husband,  and get Xtian and Professional counselling for them both if they are both willing to stay in the relationship
And picking up a prostitute is not extreme. We are talking about a prostitute here not that he was sleeping with a co worker. The man is an irresponsible dirty human being. He could have infected his wife and child with a disease. Abeg jo. Just tell it straight. A diseased dog is better than this man
Family › Re: Coping With Nagging Mother-in-law by Outstrip(f): 5:01pm On Aug 05, 2009
GEW you can disagree all you want but if you do not understand the role your mother plays in your marriage then you will never be able to understand why it is your fault. Your mother is your mother and will be your mother until the day she is called to heaven. She was/is married and lived her life. Her negative opinion on your wife is acceptable only if requested. I am not saying that there are no daughter in laws that are not ready to skin their mother in laws alive but when you walk into someone else's house you simply have to respect yourself.

I will give you an example of my cousin in Nigeria. The very next day after she got married (the wine carrying) her new mother in law who by the way is a very cool lady and we love her called her first thing in the morning and was like please come and sweep the compound. You know what my cousin asked her? She said Mama who was sweeping it before I came. Go and call that person to sweep it. LOL. It is funny now of course but my cousin's mother in law has not gone there again. Now I am sure that my cousin could have swept the whole compound if she really felt like it but she did not see why her mother in law would ask her to sweep a compound that she would not ask her own daughter to sweep. Her mother in law respects her now. She does not see her as the woman living in her son's house which is the way a woman that goes to her son's house and has problems with the wife feels. I know that it helps that my cousins in laws are enlightened but everybody should know their limits. I know that her mother in law will not even go to her own husband to complain about my cousin not to talk of her son who is not ready to entertain anything negative about his wife.

I don't believe in that saying that the wife should not treat it like her house alone but also the mother's house. Well that is nonsense. It is not the mother's house. If a woman really wants to share her home with another woman she can ask her husband to marry another woman.

When my mother tells me some stories about how my grandma on my dad's side used to treat her I would not believe that it was the same Grandma that I loved so much but when my dad said it too I was like wow. It was not like my grandma was the devil but my dad was her only son and my mom is igbo so here was her only son (she had others but the died in infancy) marrying and outsider that does not understand her son's culture. So needless to say she and my dad's sister's decided to make her life hell. My dad was in England going to school and so my mother was at the mercy of my aunties and grandma in Auchi and she did not even speak the language. She endured with my older sister but she went back to enugu to be with her family to have me. After my dad graduated and moved back to Nigeria and saw first hand he did not hesitate to fix things. His sister used to sing about how ungrateful my mother was and since she was the one who paid for my dad's education my mom should do her laundry also. When that happened again when my dad was there he went got the money from the bank with interest and paid her back so she could leave his pregnant wife in peace.

The funny thing is that after my dad came back everything died down and I realize not when I think of it my mother had in easy compared to a lot of other women I know. It boggles the mind that my dad who was very close to his mother figured this out on his own in 1976 for that matter but then you have young men in 2009 that cannot figure out that they are a major role player in the relationship between the mother and wife. That is one of the things that irritates me about this whole tradition stuff. People use "our tradition" to excuse disgraceful behavior.

If you treat your wife like shit then your mother will likely treat her like shit. If your mother comes to you ever to complain about your wife's cooking, your wife's cleaning abilities, the way she raises the kids, the amount of time she spends out of the house and you sit down and listen then you are a failure and starting something that you cannot finish. I feel that a man that respects his wife will have family that will respect her unless they are all mad which is not very likely.

God save children from a creature like this. Keisha has to have a heart of gold to let this woman back in her life after abandoning her

I 100% believe that a mother in law will only do what she knows she can get away with from her child. If she does it again and again it is because your husband has said it is okay.

Some of Judge Judy's Quotes

On your BEST day you're not as smart as I am on my worst day

My grandmother always told me; beauty fades, but dumb is forever!

Did you just curse at him? Get out!

If you live to be a hundred you will never be as smart as me

Ridiculous --- NEXT!

Sir don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.

Judge Judy: I don't care if he signed you the Declaration of Independence!

Family › Re: How Do Tell My Parents I No Longer Want To Be Married by Outstrip(f): 5:54am On Aug 03, 2009
Slimfine it depends on the type of family he comes from. Men like this will typically learn this ugly behavior from people around them. Chances are it will come back to bite her in the butt. I think she should be careful. I have seen cases where in laws could have helped but they sat back and watched like it was a movie
Family › Re: What Should I Do? by Outstrip(f): 5:51am On Aug 03, 2009
Have you ever heard of birth control. I had to laugh when you wrote "My wife is telling me she is pregnant again". As if she impregnated herself. Be a man and have the baby and keep providing as you should. Next time of you do not want your wife to tell you that she is pregnant you better discuss what method of birth control you will use and then actually use it

Are you sure? How can smelling something stain your tongue? You need to see a specialist though. Can you find out the secret spice in KFC's recipe so that I can bring it to Nigeria without breaking any laws. I am not joking. I will pay you well. LOL. In all seriousness go and see a specialist. In the mean time carry a toothbrush and mouth wash with you and brush as you feel the need to.

I have two unmarried sisters and I have men banging at my door for their numbers. If only they can take the wedding day as serious as I take it. I have already chosen their colors and everything. Let me go tell them that Reggie Bush has just tilted the scale in their favor. LOL. Just kidding. My sisters are not even partial to black men as long as they are good men.

I am very married. What does that have to do with the chocolate color of Reggie's face? Kim's dad was Armenian and he was one of OJ Simpson's lawyers. I think Armenia is close to Turkey

That is actually Lynn Whitfield and her daughter not mom but come oh Adaeze's mom is really pretty. She cannot be more than 40. If she is then she has really maintained herself. I have no idea who Anansa Sims is but her mother is definitely stealing the show in that picture. Gorgeous women.
Celebrities › Re: John Travolta's House(pictures) by Outstrip(f): 3:34am On Jul 30, 2009
The first time I saw the pictures I had to laugh because I did not know what else to do. People they park toyota camry for garage this one the park a freaking jet. Ridonculous.

PS for the person saying that the plane is not necessary I guess it's what you use it for. Many people have their own private jets but he just happens to fly his himself. It is also a hobby for him. I don't see why it would be viewed as an over indulgence for someone that has his kind of money
