tolexy007:There are some movies I don't even bother with and this is right up there in that list. I mean it's like 4% on RT. I don't think i have seen a score that rotten in years. |
The first critic review for Ben Affleck's "Air Jordan" origin story are out. Sadly Amazon is not doing a prime video release for this anytime soon as they have to recoup that $7m Super Bowl advert slot at the theatres for a start.😩

Ishilove:Thanks once again. You are far too kind. Modified: True to your words, I found the story telling captivating, and i felt kinda sorry for the bear 😩. Thanks once again for putting me on to the story 🙏

Ishilove:🙏 |
Ishilove:Oh really..pls point me in the direction of the story. |
Mann...I thought i was done with Power Book II: Ghost, but seeing Episode 1 of S3 and i am sucked right back in. 50 Cent is a genius!! |
Cocaine Bear (2023). A bear did cocaine. A bear F**** did cocaine! Elizabeth Bank's 3rd directorial effort is completely chaotic, batshït crazy and a slasher aficionado's heaven. As crazy it sounds, it is loosely based on Pablo Eskobear, a bear who ingested a lethal dose of cocaine dropped by drug smugglers in a Tennessee forest in the 80's. Unlike the latter, cocaine bear is out for blood after sniffing white line, leading to a comedic, horror ish, bone slashing, flesh eating trip. Whilst I'm not promising that it a grade A motion picture as the production value looks very low budget, but it has enough thrills and chaos to get your adrenaline pumping. B+

Baddestguyp:Too goated fam. The character development arc and world building was something else. Loved every episode even the fillers. I remember when new episodes use to drop early hours of Thursday morning, me and my G's will keep vigil to download and see it before class so we can all dissect it. Glorious opening songs and OST too. I think it was it and "One piece' at the time, that was the benchmark of the Nigerian anime fandom. It was like a compulsory course, that was the top recommendation to begin one's anime journey in this clime. Peak...Peak Stuff man 🙌 |
pu7pl3:I think it's only the Movie that's on Netflix as the series itself, is a BBC prod, but Pahe has all the seasons. |
Tonto Dikeh was actually a deputy governorship candidate?? Nigeria is a circus. |
abduleez1:Maann...The CW has been doing these trash adaptations of DC characters for years and i am just glad it's coming to an end. Wasn't they the one that did that fire dumpster "Batwoman" series? 😩😩...yeye network. |
See Plot ffs 😭😭....I have never been this sure of a show been mid as this 😩. The CW continually dragging the DC brand through mud fgs.

teeshet:He's top tier and i immediately want to see anything he's in. I mean he has shown some degree of versatility over the years. I have seen him in a thriller, romantic, action and even in a fantasy flick. He's been in both the DCEU and MCU. Outside of movies, he's a DJ and a Rapper. So he's an all rounder and particularly a fine actor. |
pu7pl3:Yeah.. it's a standalone movie adapted from the series. If you enjoyed the movie, you might enjoy the series as well so i reckon you give it a go. 5 seasons so far but in the British tv serial tradition, it's just 20 episodes across those 5 seasons so an easy binge. |
Kaycee7:I swear Chief...All deserved to be framed and hanged... especially that of "Green Knight", it had no business been that hard!. |
phr0nesis:lmaoo...na those psycho and horror movie posters dey hard pass ![]() |
Ishilove:True that. It was so irrational and out of place what he did, i mean there are much better ways he could have handled it. |
Ishilove:I think that's last year's edition sis. |
ValeeLove:Dope...but i have some bangers in my movie poster gallery...feast your eyes 🤤

Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023). A decent extension to the series. If you are a fan of the series, this is right up in your alley but i doubt if a neutral fan will enjoy it as much. The writing is just like the Series, good for the first part (S1, 2 and 3) but pear shaped at the end (S4 and 5). Andy Serkis is menacingly villainous in a damn good way and Idris Elba is a star as "Luther", if only Niel Cross could write a proper thriller to match the strength of these two, we might have been in business. Not to say it is not a decent watch, but it could have been more and a new "Luther" material in 2023 is always a welcome thought.

teeshet:At bolded, setting this kind of perverse target for yourself reeks of low self esteem as the only way you are ever getting close to Megan Good is through the JPEGs you have saved in your phone that you use in pleasuring yourself at 1am after the thoughts of your extremely low self esteem envelopes you, knowing you can't bag a normal functioning person of the opposite sex in real life .Y'all should turn down the x-rated talk on this thread is my point. ![]() |
Mann...This might be the wildest plot i have seen in a while 😩

abduleez1:The academy will rather swallow poison pill than nominate a CBM for Best Picture. The Avatar: WTW Best Picture nod was a joke. How many in the lineup did you see?? I was trying to see Argentina 1985 a week ago but couldn't shake of the sleepiness. 🙃Nooo o, But I have it and planning to see it, the other 3 were weak, two about little children and the other about a Donkey. Yeah, there weren't many great films last year. I'm just glad at least we quickly had a flurry of these good award movies just before the year ran out. If not, it would have been an atrocious year especially when what most ppl remember is MCU's shithood.MCU really stank up the whole year with mid, most of the movies that got the nod were out in the last quarter of the year and were basically late entries. That says alot. Luckily, 2023 has enough juice for a proper contest next year. What do you think of Pinocchio winning Best Animation? I feel Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was better. But I wouldn't have a gripe with Guillermo's winning tho.Pinocchio was superior in animation style but Puss in Boots was superior in story. Either of them winning it is fine. Not a great year for animations either. |
Re:Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022). I could see why people would have a bone to pick about this movie but it is a beautiful motion picture that transcends every good thing about cinema. I had to revisit this again because of the Oscar buzz and i think it wowed me more the second time around. People might find the themes too distracting coupled with the multi-varsal madness that seems to be leading one into a certain migraine but for those who are patient enough to unravel this themes carefully as the cast transverse the Multiverse with the excess baggage of human emotions and drama, it unravels a beautiful reward of a great lesson on love, life, humanity and the nihilism of it all. Life as we know it, is as complex as it can be and out everyday choices and decisions impact the directions our life takes. EEAAO beautifully dives into this concept and coupled with human drama makes it a superior film. Tho, absurdity sci-fi might be the core theme of the movie, but it is firmly grounded in family drama. Evelyn played by the now Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, is at the heart of it all, at first seems ill mannered but as the movie progresses and the Character of every human is showcased in multi versions of herself in multiple universe with immense and incredible talents to draw from these characters but deep down, she just a regular mom who just want to do taxes, laundry and get on with her day. she drives the entire story forward, she's the unicorn, shes the charm... Evelyn's Daughter, represent the nihilistic sub plot of the movie. She sees absolutely no purpose to life no matter the decision one takes in life, across various life forms and across multi verse. This sets her on a collision course with her mom who is still undecided about the purpose of life, but she chooses to turn around this nihilism, to no avail, and ultimately decides to let her daughter make her own choice even tho she doesn't agree with her. Finally, Evelyn's Husband, played by the now oscar winning Ke Huy Quan represents the love and humanity sub plot. introduced as an untroubled man who just wanted to get on with his day. But as the story progresses, reveals that he is in deep pain especially with his wife, but he masks this pain to perfection. These stories are woven beautifully with proper character arcs in a way that is relatable to the viewer no matter the stage of life. This is a complete film with well told story with absurdity sci-fi to the max, but with beautiful action sequence, a little bit of comedy and a whole lot of human drama to make you as close and as comfortable to the narrative the movie is trying to push. it will age well, and i believe most people who detest it now, will come around, when they give it a try, few years from now.

kendrick93:I don't even know how to explain it without been sounding ambiguous but "Top Gun: Maverick" was not a "Best Picture Oscar winning" movie material. Good movie tho and exceeded expectations by even been nominated. |
abduleez1:To be fair, not a lot of great movies within the purview of the award window to pick from and it afforded the academy to make decisions on White guilt, reparations and pity. The Best actress nod going to Michelle Yeoh, is totally worth it and the only other worthy contender to her was Cate Blanchett in that line up, going back to my opening paragraph, "not a lot of great movies to pick from". Michelle Yeoh's team actually went on a run of "guilt trip" campaign to ensure she got that win, and there might have actually be fire in the movie verse and backlash on "Caucasian" Supremacy at the oscars. The academy was not ready for that PR nightmare after Last year's débâcle. The Best Actor Award, is a straight up "pity award" and Collin Ferrell had a better performance and deserved it. Immediately i saw "The Whale", i knew Brandan Fraser was gonna get it, the movie was the arch-type oscar bait, with how Hollywood has been treating him over the past few years and it was somewhat infused into the screenplay of the movie, he was bulls eye set to win it, Just like Leonardo DiCaprio's win for "The Revenant". Happy for Brandan Fraser tho, all around good guy and a sound actor, that needs this oscar win more than ever to get him going again in Hollywood. Best Supporting actor was fair. The weakest line up i have seen in years so i called it between Barry Keoghan and Ke Huy Quan. Ke Huy Quan was charming in EEAAO... thoroughly deserved. Best Supporting actress. This going to Jamie Lee Curtis was an absolute sham and a bad joke. She had around 15 mins screen time in EEAAO so I don't understand the rationale behind this. This was supposed to be between Stephanie Hsu and Kerry Crodon. Angela Bassett been nominated was probably for aesthetic, ain't no way mama was getting that award in a million years. Best International Feature, again another weak line up, and "All quiet on the Western Front" Deserved it. Best Original song, I thought "Hold my hand" deserved it but "Natu Natu" was also good. Best Picture, considering the grand scheme of things, EEAAO was probably the most deserving of it. I mean, they got 4 out of the big 5 awards and the domination was so much that even it's main contenders like "The Fableman", The Banshees of Ineshirin" couldn't even get a sniff. All in all, There wasn't many great movies or wow performances to pick from, says alot about the direction of movies these days btw. So i welcome the "A24" Supremacy 🙌, one of my favourite movie studio and they deserve all the flowers☘️🌺. |
Ias1:Faulty HDD or the boot files on the HDD are corrupted. |
Kaycee7:Scratching my head for the first reference before it clicked, always forgetting Benedict Cumberbatch voiced "Smaug" ...This LOTR and MCU universe mashup is too lit my man ![]() |
abduleez1:A clear money laundering movie. There's no way, on God's green earth you will need that much for a Rom-Com. |
1Sharon:Top tier concept. One of my all time foreign language faves. |
The praise for "AOT" come back so far has been massive, it seems i have to ditch my "wait and binge" order for it, and just dive in ⚡
