Aflix: I watched end game and infinity wars the respective years they were produced, so my memory of the movie isn't too clear. But i remember him struggling with spiderman and ironman. I don't think superman would struggle like that. Struggle ke?...He took on Ironman, Dr. strange, Star Lord and SpiderMan all at once, and was routinely dealing with them. They only stood a slight chance when Mantis put him in trance even then they struggled to remove the Gauntlet from his hand and failed due to Star Lord's emotional weakness. |

Baddestguyp: Finally found accurate subtitles for The Witch Part 2 from subscene
Koreans never disappoint with their movies
The Witch Part 2...9.5/10 Great supernatural movie...the action sequences especially at the end was jaw dropping...
If you have trouble understanding the movie, just get accurate subtitles...that's why I waited to watch
From what I heard years ago...it's supposed to be a trilogy...so I can't wait for Part 3 Do you speak fluent korean? How do you know the subs are accurate or not? |

This might arguably be the best opening scene in CBM history imo.

This alone has made me lose interest in watching the moviie lol you might be avoiding a lot of movies in the coming years cuz the LGBTQ agenda is alive and kicking. |

Ishilove: I hope he is going to lose weight after this performance. Wtf!! Most of the "weight" are a result of costume and effect as the plot of the movie ties to it. He plays an obese writer who wants to reconnects with his daughter after falling into depression and binge eating after the death of his gay lover. He's fat in real life tho, just not that fat, and as in the movie, he actually fell into depression and binge eating after been cancelled by Hollywood. |

cuffee: Where will you place tarantino in the annals of history? He is without doubt, one of the very best i tell you. I don't think i have seen a flick of his i didn't like. He's a top marksman in the Neo-noir and spaghetti western genre. A testament to his outstanding feats, is his movies been heavily referenced in pop culture history. He sadly said he is only going to make 10 movies and right now he's at 9. |

"RE: The Hateful Eight" Extended Version (2015) " The deadliest, bloodiest, and most entertaining game of clue ever played"
Quentin Tarantino created a gem with this one because this had all the perks of a well made movie... The writing was great, the dailogues were top notch, the cast was freaking awesome (special praise to Samuel L Jackson and Walton Goggins, those two delivered a timeless performance), the action was brutal as expected and the visuals were stunning...the blizzard scenes were stunning.
Make no mistake, as fun and hilarious as The Hateful Eight was, it had some serious undertone bordering on the boundaries of race and possibly misogyny in post civil war America wrapped in a classic "Tarantino brand of gooey gore" beautifully crafted into 4 Netflix extended episodes.
Simply put, The Hateful Eight, the Eighth movie by one Quentin Tarantino is truly a masterpiece.

Kaycee7: It was definitely a good movie.
What boxes are we ticking? Plot was definitely cliché asf. Characters were mostly tropey. The only one who did anything surprising was Fitzroy. You could still see his betrayal coming though. Action scenes served. Pace was kept fast enough you to stop you from thinking about anything too much. It was a fun experience, all things considered. Ok my man...I think 2 school of thought can exist because the movie simply wasn't doing it for me. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by oyaskii(m): 5:07pm On Jul 26, 2022 |
Kaycee7: The movie features a spy assassin with a heart of gold and it lets you know this in the first 10 minutes of the film. How it plays like a "serious spy movie" to you is beyond my understanding. The tropes were pretty clear and recognizable. You could predict the plot just about 5 minutes into the movie. And the dialogue matches the tone, establishes the character and even keys the viewer into what's coming in certain scenes.
You've got 2 A-listers, a top-tier B-lister in Ana de Armas, a veteran Billy Bob Thornton and the Russo Bros of MCU fame directing, it's not hard to figure where most of the $200m went. The plot is cliched and this wasn't a good version. It was when the Chris Evans/Lloyd arch started, that i stopped taking it serious, Up till then, it gave off as a "serious spy movie". The screenplay was bad and everything basically fell out of place from there. I could go on and on but you have your heart set that you got what you expected from the movie...but for me...No. Simply in your opinion, all things considered, was it good movie? did it tick all the boxes? |

Kaycee7: Witty exchanges between the characters. Lloyd. Sosa's eccentric and awkward stalling. Lloyd. The cheeky teenage girl. Did I mention Lloyd?
What exactly was wrong with the dialogue? The movie had a clear identity crisis...it plays like a serious spy movie but the dialogues were weirdly structured, whimsical and simply off putting. It was billed as an "Action thriller" on a budget of $200m.... forgive me for expecting better tbh. |

DrDax: Your bias will not let you see front.
That is a top notch movie with great dialogue.
We'll have to turn off our brains to watch it, just as we did to John Wick's antics.
Action is John Wick ish? Maybe even better. I have no reason to be bias against it. It isn't a top notch movie with great dialogue except "great dialogue" has a different meaning. At bolded, you basically just repeated what i said in my review... Entertainment yes....Plot or any coherent value...No...and the mixed ratings clarifies this. |

The Grayman (2022)
This was an absolute "nothing" movie.
It made absolutely zero sense plot wise and the dialogues were so bad. These Mfs lost thier way so much that they basically didn't know what to do at the end, that they even went as far as using a whole 15 minutes for the credit.
Some good action sequence here and there and that was just about it. So "turning off your brain" to see this might not be enough, you have to actually be in a very good mood too.
A totally forgettable flick added to the large cache that Netflix already has.

Baddestguyp: DC need to go to the drawing board and make a proper layout for DCEU Yes...They are doing fairly ok elsewhere but i feel there should be a clear plan for "DCEU" going forward and not just stand alone movies of it popping up randomly. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by oyaskii(m): 5:45pm On Jul 24, 2022 |
Baddestguyp: exactly what I was saying... DC never even get plan yet... They're just making solo movies for now I don't know what the problem is...
Is it that DC just don't have enough characters? But they seem to have... Or maybe they haven't built up these characters in DCEU yet DC has enough source material and characters for days but if they had half the organizational skills that MCU has had in the last few years, then we might have been seeing a proper CBM civil war between them and MCU wouldn't have had the effrontery to drop as much mid as they have done in recent times. |

DandeNumeruno: I'm glad it's getting a second season, but I have a feeling the show has peaked and it's all downhill from here. It'd be hard to top or match a season like that. Yeah i have that feeling too and it was billed as a mini series, but they just had to ride the wave of this top tier S1. They will probably need to explore other character's arc other than Carmen's to make S2 worth the while. |

CAPdan21: I'm talking individual performance you're talking cast...I did not dispute Culkin, McFadden and Snook nominations as they were deserving, not the rest...Sadie sink acted rings around J.smith Cameron, same with the severance cast I mentioned with Braun who did nothing but make goofy jokes all season.. Severance had 3 nom in supporting which is okay cuz they weren't even much to begin with... But Sadie Sink over J.Smith Cameron....Hell No. |

DoveXlover: You are wrong. Search Yellowstone online and see widespread shock from people and various outlets, they expressed surprise at Emmy snub for Yellowstone and note in all four years of Yellowstone, they have only got a nomination just once. That's unbelievable because last season of Yellowstone was a glorious hit back to back. It is a drama... mention one show in the "outstanding drama category" that it had a better season than. |

The Crown last season was in 2020 with S4, and they were duly rewarded in the 2021 Emmy. So they should award or nominate them again in 2022 for the same S4? |
