They worked with what they had and i think despite the "supposed cringe"accent, the message of the movie was not "lost in translation".

Give this production set and budget to indigenous actors and crew, and the movie ain't come out as half as good as this.

Also, add Howl's Moving Castle if you haven't seen it yet.
Been doing a Ghibli watch fest of their movie library, both rewatches and first times. Will put you onto any other top tier titles.

Just finished watching The Wind Rises yesterday night. Absolute beauty but that's just the norm for prime Ghibli. Funny how I was coming to put you and Abduleez on only to meet your endorsement.

I'm prepared for the perversion of history in The Woman King. Just hoping the movie, in of itself, is ok, at least.

Omo i haven't still seen Only Yesterday o but i have had it in my watchlist for months now together with Ponyo. I should get around to it soonest. Studio Ghibli is goated fr Chief. They gave us Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke...i mean...Hall of fame material with most of thier releases.

John Wick 4 is the only movie that remotely looks like hot stuff out of the list tbh Brah. I can't even remember the plot of the first instalment of Shazam.

Boss, I tried playing .mkv movies on my phone but I constantly get frozen frames while the audio continues or no video at all. I use VLC and my phone is a Tecno Pop 6. Is there any app you can recommend I use for viewing mkv files?

The device is an "Android Go" edition device and as such it is optimize to handle heavy stuffs and mkv video rendering properly.

However get either Kmplayer or Mxplayer. They can handle mkv well to some extent on Andriod Go devices. And target mkv from sites that do extremely low compression Nkiri.

lol...Yes. Yts releases aren't the finest quality in 2022 because they encode in Mp4 and other sites have adopted Mkv which is significantly better than MP4. Except your device ( Mobile or TV) is pre 2016, you shouldn't be looking at Mp4 in 2022.

Pros
-They have a large collection of oldies stretching as far back as i could remember. I got The Wizard of Oz (1939) from them!

Cons
-They encode in Mp4
-There files are hosted on torrent, so you will need a torrent client.
-There are so many clones and you could easily end up in a clone and download a useless file.
-Terrible UI.
For new releases below are the sites you should be looking at. The order is from my most preferred to least.

Psa rips - Prestine encoders and the finest quality and they occasionally do 4K releases for big budget titles. And all their encode is x265 with occasional 10bit releas. Dem sabi work die. But the con is that they don't do unpopular releases.

Pahe - These guys are good too and do all kind of releases from any part of the world. Their main encode is in x264 but do occasional x265 encodes. Their main advantage over PSa is that they upload files to google drive and Google drive is so stable and fast when it comes to download.

Olamovies - If you are on a data budget, don't near this site lol. The site is own by some indian guys with unlimited data to play with. They do all releases but their base resolution is 1080p up to 4K HDR. You even find complete old series or movies in the finest quality here but with outrageous sizes. They upload to Google drive too.

Then if you know your way around telegram and how to use bots on thier, it will save you a lot of time and hassle. Can't remember when i visited Psa last. There is a telegram page that upload files from them and i just send the file to a Google drive bot and download away

Yes...Yts is only good for oldies that you can't find anywhere and surprisingly these oldies are properly seeded hence decent download speed.

For new releases...no one should be going to Yts imo.

I usually prefer psa because they have better compression and they give clear quality warnings. Eg internal.

Yes. It is an internal release and most sites encoded from the same source file hence the audio issue. The official VOD release is not until NOV. 22nd at the earliest.


BTW...What are you doing getting files from Ytx in 2022?? Little regard for quality, many clones and they still do MP4 encodes for full length movies in 2022!, when mkv has been proven to be all round better in size compression and quality.

Well i couldn't figure out the problem, but then i was running it on a 4GB Ram, Core I3 PC tho. I recently costume built a 12GB Ram PC running on a decent Gen Intel processor so i will give it another go.

The current IDM i am using, i downloaded about 6 months ago. Thier updates are mainly minute and sparingly affects any core function. A crack IDM from 2020 will still work just fine today.

Jdownloader use to be my goto for downloads especially for complex downloads like those from a "MEGA" account but all of a sudden, it started slowing my PC down and using to many resources, i just had to ditch it. Have you experienced such?

IDM does this as well. Basically opening a particular video page on YouTube will and IDM will pop up a download window for the video in different format.

Na when I hear Google's crackdown on one of those YouTube premium alternative apps earlier this year. Na so I gradually lose interest in 3rd party stuffs oo. I don forget the app name, it was the one that had the most YouTube like and advanced features.

The app is called SnapTube.

lol The app should be the "Vanced" app. Google was changing the apis to Youtube so much that the guys developing the Vanced app just gave up cuz it was becoming too much work

But other Devs aren't tired yet and source code for YouTube premium are being modded weekly. There's an app called "Revanced" that came out the week "Vanced" stopped working....Devs dey vex

It was some months back I knew YouTube app data ain't differentiated from offline videos on Android. It just lumps them together.
I used one storage deep search app like SD Maid and found out YouTube was occupying about 6GB of space on my phone.

Na so I say wetin happen; began deleting random files. Cleared about 1.5GB worth of data that day only to find out it has corrupted some offline videos as some native files were deleted. That's how I lost about 50 videos that day. I was just thankful it wasn't that much and the key ones weren't too affected.
I no know say major one dey prep for me few days ago.

It's like YouTube has an aversion for VPNs. Prolly preventing anonymous users and the likes.

Rule 101.... YouTube lumps all the data that concerns it together making the app data bloated and stressing your ROM unnecessarily! So it is always a bad idea saving offline videos on the app!.

YouTube is one of Google's main tool of making money and they treat it as delicate as a child. Their devs change API to the app weekly!, to curb things like using VPN or watching Premium on a modded version. Back then i use to have a premium modded apps that could work for months without issue, but Google devs changed the game and now i am on GitHub weekly to find new repositories to keep my Youtube Premium alive.

Bro....Best bet..you shouldn't be investing heavy data on the YouTube app. If you see video you like, like it or saved to "watched later" and go on third party to download. Google are moving mad with thier unicorn .

Na laziness cos am bro. I feel it's stressful having to copy and paste links to third party sites or apps to download the videos. I just like to click download once and rush off to do other things.

Another major thing na procrastination. I always planned to move important videos to a privately owned storage. I was just hoping when I'd reduce the videos to around 100 videos I'd start archiving them myself, but every week I add more to the list.

Learnt the hard way now. Lost at least 150+ important vids that I could have kept. No choice again.

Third party apps don advance pass that "copy and paste" BS. The particular one i use now is easy as easy should be...All i do is to sign into my Youtube account on the app and basically just be clicking the download button and the app uses google servers to the download speed is very very good...see below for example.

I no dey take properly "storing and backing up my files play" bro cuz i learnt the hard way . Mainly dealing in cloud storage these days sef cuz i have had access to a very stable fast internet for some months now and my old uni email ID has an unlimited Google drive storage as one of it's perks.

1Gig of data just vanish on top YouTube.
I used a VPN on YouTube and thing just unlinked all my downloaded videos. I knew it might react that way cos It has happened some years back (2018) but didn't anticipate the shït I saw.
I thought things might have changed but e be like YouTube brain no dey change.

Normally, back then it'd just refresh the thumbnails and make the vids available to you after you switch off the VPN and use a normal connection. Takes little data.
I had forgotten I had amassed a large library of offline videos in YouTube over time. I had like 304 vids. I Underestimated the size of my library.
Instead of it to just refresh my videos back to normal, it started redownloading them from ground up despite having the core file in its memory.

I had to delete several videos permanently make e no consume my data finish. I lost some videos I would have loved to keep a little longer. From 300+ vids to now 108 videos.

For this Naija wey data price don hike na en YouTube do me this strong thing. Life no balance. E be like say na to start the pain of downloading my YouTube content permanently into my phone instead of YouTube's app.

Make I just use the 2GB+ of entertainment wey I download console myself.

Why don't you just directly download these videos via third party and store them in your SD card, ROM or an external device even? Saving offline videos on the native YouTube app is risky af!. The videos are accumulated as the app data and thiers no way to differentiate it, so any changes as little as changes to the app's API or any little change in cache data will distort everything about the app, including your saved offline videos!

The only thing you should be doing on the YouTube app is to like your fave videos and go download them on the third party apps in any resolution you want from 360p up to 4K depending on the video.

And YouTube free data that accompanies MTN and Airtel data plans can be used to download these videos or any YouTube based plan which are cheaper to sub than normal data plans.
