abduleez1:They use twitter to make it seem as if there is actually a real life "The Boys Verse" and it's happening in real time. "Vought" actually has a verified twitter handle where they post stuff like like this, Deep also has an hashtag where he gives shallow thoughts and the hashtag is called #DeepthoughtswithTheDeep...the irony.. ![]() Top tier marketing strategy for the show if you ask me ![]()

Chibudollar:"Tv time". |
Kaycee7:I have a link for it Chief...but for some weird reason, spam bot is only allowing me paste Gdrive links...so i made a note of the link and saved it in my Gdrive so you can copy it from there...so here it is https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m421F_vymWHkUQlf94rbv9_grKfH2uvC/view?usp=drivesdk |
Moneyboyz:lmaoo a clear case of "the more you see, the less you know". Quite the opposite of what you described. |
I had ample time to see movies and shows this month, and it invariably meant "June" was my highest return yet in 2022. and the titles i picked where all on target.. ....zero misses from movies to shows to Docus.Bring on July! ![]()

abduleez1:lmaoo....oh please....Greta Gerwig is going to Jail for this farce. |
Baddestguyp:You will run into trouble trying to prove this logic of yours. For example "Barry", "Catastrophe", "Better Things" and "This is going to hurt" are all comedy shows with solid A1 writing, infact some of the best writing i have seen across any genre. |
Baddestguyp:I don't do these "best list" but i have enjoyed quite a number of shows over the years and it's a very long list. |
Baddestguyp:oh i wonder how you can enjoy a show enough for you to mention it as your "best" if it's poorly written..."best" should be "best" in everything. |
Baddestguyp:Mannn....you are doing my head in lol ....who goes around asking "what's your best written show"? ....Your best show should obviously have good writing as well as other things been good.So you have a "best written show list" and "best show list"? so i am wondering what qualities those in the latter have? |
Baddestguyp:So AOT, 24 and Mr Robot are your best shows ever? Is a fact? |
Baddestguyp:What happened last year? |
Baddestguyp:Giving..S1 was like a "test the water phase" but it wasn't bad and it picked up steam from there. At bolded...you just described the premise of virtually every counter terrorism show, hostage and kidnapping is like 90% the plot, but good writing and delivery distinguishes the good from the bad..and 24 was solid from start to finish and stellar ratings and 20 emmy wins proves this point. |
Baddestguyp:The title is literally "24" and the writing of the show was done to encompass this fact...i don't remember any season be dragged to force a 24hours, they executed and sticked a good landing each season. |
abduleez1:Man...Apple TV always goes all out for thier shows with big budget and this is one of them, but thier marketing is poor. The show has solid ratings so i wonder why the low chatter...even the tv series subred you hardly hear mention of the show...i picked it up just cuz of my love for space themed movies or shows and i found out it was an actual top tier decent show. |
DandeNumeruno:Each shot from it is more ridiculous than the previous..i respect Greta Gerwig's craft but this ain't it. |
IbrahimMav:lol I can't say i have seen everything but i have seen a "truck load" of shows .If you enjoyed S1 then you are in for the same goodness dialed up a notch in S2..followed the same pattern of S1 but twice as good. S3 just premiered three weeks ago, the premise focus on the "Private space trips" concept that Elon Musk is trying to champion with SpaceX.. I am letting it marinate and finish airing before i binge. ![]() |
"Glamour Girls" (2022) This was a cascading hot mess and utter garbage. Nollywood has been revisiting old classics and trying to bring them back to screen with a modern twist and all have been a total fail from "Living in Bondage" to "Nneka the pretty serpent" and this is the latest. This was a total misfire which came at an expensive cost with the props and scenes used in it. The plot was so disjointed and incoherent that i had a headache trying to figure out what was going on and i barely manage to get to the end which left me with more questions than answers. Giving...The movie used some of the best visuals in recent time in this clime with excellent design set and locations which produced a stunning cinematography. It had good soundtracks too. But the general editing especially the sound mixing was a total mess, it was so repulsive, it saddled with lot of background noises and one might think the editing was done by an amateur, on a phone and with "Vskit". The acting and dailogues were so bland, the only person that seemed to know what they were doing in the entire cast was Nse Ikepe-Etim, I'm actually a fan of her craft but even she fell victim to the incoherent plot, the entire thing looked like various skit merged together to make a movie...no flow...no connections riddled with plot holes that at some point i was left wondering if these people were actually serious that this was the final cut of the movie . Nollywood having the "Netflix money" now should have meant better movies from production, props, costume and most importantly plot, which if the latter is bad, having the others good will have no meaning. Seems the problem here is actually getting good script writers on thier payroll, i know a few writers who have a cache of good stories begging to be picked up by these production companies. These people will rather use the "Netflix money" to assemble an elaborate cast, acquire choice locations and employ the best costume designer to show the flamboyance and "Raz" of the "Nigerian life and lingua" without caring about the story it is trying to tell. I know of an indie writer that pitched a solid script to Mo Abudu for "Chief Daddy 2" , she liked it but did a 360 and thought to herself "script writing is easy, why should i pay"? So she wrote the laziest and incoherent script ever, assembled the "avengers of nollywood" as cast, acquired the best costume designers in the business and "Chief Daddy 2" turned out to be so so bad. This is a perfect example of where Nollywood are at the moment and it's sad for an industry that is about 30 years strong. Finally "Glamour Girls" (2022) was a total fail that didn't know what story it was trying to tell in the entire runtime of "2hrs:05 mins" and Nollywood is not leaving the trenches any time soon.

IbrahimMav:Each season starts off with a painful "slow burn" but leads to a beautiful cataclysm towards the end. One of the best Space themed tv serial in recent times and stunning cinematography too...i mean just look at a shot from S2 below.

DandeNumeruno:Fairs and compelling point of view. We need them squaring up again when Soldier Boy is in top shape to determine who is the fraud...on my knees for this to happen within the last two episodes. |
DandeNumeruno:oh..got your point now. |
Priapus69:He clearly has no proper control of the chest canon as of now, and a supe like Homelander wouldn't wait around for him to do it or "get in the mood"...anyways i need them to square off again so bad. |
DandeNumeruno:The entire "The Boys" universe is clearly a satirical parody of existing comic super heroes. |
DandeNumeruno:But the "fully fit" talk is in the air...does a Supe really need to be "fully fit" for any fight? On the basis of "The Boys" universe, isn't it the Compound V that is doing all the work? Just postulating here. |
It's only fair we see a "fully fit" Soldier Boy face off against Homelander at some point again without any interference. Homelander saw a supe tag team and my man dipped ![]() |
"The Unbearable weight of massive talent" (2022) An ode and perfect satirical gold to honour the talents and works of Nicholas Cage. The movie tried not to take itself serious with the tone but man it was a wonderful ride of somewhat adult lighted comedy showing that Nicolas Cage is "reborn" after a few bust project. The script is so light hearted, comfy and good...and Pedro Pascal delivered quite good and charming performance that almost stole the entire show...One of best flick of this year i must say imo....and the movie poster ties with "Everything Everywhere all at once" as my best movie posters of the year so far...truly elegant.
|
IbrahimMav:oh really? I thought the writing went side ways and the "filler" episodes were a tad too many and quite frankly unnecessary tbh |
Kaycee7:Happy Birthday Abduleez1, Thanks for making this community of movie lovers as much fun as it is. Champ, praying good things come your way...peace and light my brother...Cheers. |
seankafor:1080p x264 old encode, less compression and can play on virtually every device that supports H.264, even older devices like Tvs made before 2013. 1080p x265, Newer compression, less in size than x264 but most times better quality. Can play on most Android devices from Kit kat (4.4) upwards with the aid of a third party player like Mx player cuz these have inbuilt encoders for most file encode, but won't play on Tvs made before 2016/2017, so basically only newer models of tv supports it. |
Ishilove:I kid you not..from an actual real life documentary ![]() |
