dhantey324:I don't think they are asking for too much by saying let there be equity, Justice in everything we do. Let there be no marginalization or abandonment of a section of the country, if we say that we are one. They are not allowed to rule, yet they are not complaining but, provide good roads for them to do their business is problem. Now they said okay, since they are not part of the country then, allow them to go, you still say no. |
HungerBAD:In as much as I don't support the activities of some of these youths in the creek, I think what FG has done is a wise decision even though is not a long term solution. It won't be nice to label them as criminals because, that will only lead to further hardship in the country as a result of pipelines destruction. It pays nobody if FG chooses military action beside, it can never solve the problem. Even if you kill every youths in the area, many unborn will still agitate tomorrow. FG must draw a master plan for the development of the ND especially, the oil producing communities. A developmental projects that will ensure that every stakeholders and the youths in the area must be directly involved. |
CHRISTIANITY: The True Meaning. A dictionary definition of a Christian would be something similar to “a person professing belief in Jesus as the Christ or in the religion based on the teachings of Jesus.” While this is a good starting point but, it falls short of really showing the biblical truth of what it means to be a Christian. The word “Christian” is used three times in the New Testament (Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16). Followers of Jesus Christ were first called “Christians” in Antioch (Acts 11:26) because their behavior, activity, and speech were like Christ. The word “Christian” literally means, “belonging to the party of Christ” or a “follower of Christ.” Unfortunately over time, the word “Christian” has lost a great deal of its significance and is often used of someone who is religious or has high moral values but who may or may not be a true follower of Jesus Christ. Many people who do not believe and trust in Jesus Christ consider themselves Christians simply because they go to church or they live in a “Christian” nation. But going to church, or being a good person does not make you a Christian. Being a member of a church, attending services regularly, and giving to the work of the church does not make you a Christian. The Bible teaches that the good works we do cannot make us acceptable to God. Titus 3:5 says, “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” So, a Christian is someone who has been born again by God (John 3:3; John 3:7; 1 Peter 1:23) and has put faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8 tells us that it is “…by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” A true Christian is a person who has put faith and trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ, including His death on the cross as payment for sins and His resurrection on the third day. John 1:12 tells us, “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4, 10). A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Jesus Christ. One who has forsaken his/her old sinful ways of life and has follow the lifestyle of Christ whose seed (Spirit) dwells in by being born again. Therefore, a Christian must not continue in a sinful lifestyle after redemption. Romans 6:1-2 says "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?. Also 1John 3:8-9 says that, "He that commits sin of the devil... Whosoever that is born of God doesn't sin because, the seed of God is in him... So, a Sinner is not a Christian and a Christian is not a sinner. 1John 5:17 states that "all unrighteousness is sin and 1Corinthians 6:9-10 confirms that unrighteous person cannot enter into the Kingdom of God..". So, you need to know where you belong so as to make amends. What category of Christian do you belong?. Remember, it is only you that can answer this above question. Therefore, I implore you to answer truthfully, surrender your life to Jesus, confess and repent from your sinful lifestyle and follow after righteousness and holiness. Be ready for the RAPTURE!. |

midolian:See what youths have been reduced to. A COUNTRY OF HYPOCRITES!!! A woman was beheaded for allegedly blaspheming the name Muhammed (S. A. W) some months back. No women protest. Another one was butchered and killed like a cow just because she was only exercising her right to religion by preaching the word of God ( May his name be praised forever) No women group protest to condemn the barbaric act. Now, just because a Man merely threatened to beat and impregnate a woman just because she is highly placed. A group of various toothless women Screaming out the top roof. Planning a big rally to protest a mere threat. When are we people going to stop being hypothetical about issues? Is an harmless threat to Remi Tinubu more important than lives of those women terminated without a course? I have said mine, abuse me, its left for you. |

gabazin080:1 Thessalonians 4:13-18New International Version (NIV) Believers Who Have Died 13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. Also see 1st Corinthians 15vs50-55 |
KEEP THE FAITH! In an era when the Word of God is diluted, we need a revolution that will redirect the hearts of men back to the FOUNDATIONAL TRUTH as originally spoken by God through the Holy Spirit! Keep The Faith is all about that! KTF! Saturday, 16 July 2016 TRIALS AND TRIUMPHS by Debby Tryon It’s a blessing sharing with you once again. A song writer says "Blessed be the Lord through my trials and all my struggles". There is a thin line between our TRIALS and our TRIUMPHS and that is DECISION. You can either "decide" to give in after you must have struggled to the best of your ability or you "decide" to bring in the one who has overcome the greatest trials of life "Jesus Christ". Interestingly He is willing to help us overcome all of our trials, which are heavy burdens and give us triumphs (Matthew 11:28). At the temptation of Christ, He was placed at a place of “deciding" to give in to the devil’s promises, but he chose to rebuke Him and that gave Him victory. (Matthew 4:1-10). We have to "choose" to defeat our trials, and this can happen only through the Word of God and in the place of Prayer. We equally have to remember that most of the times trials are a stepping stone to breakthroughs, other times they are deliberate; permit me to also say trials are a necessity to growing spiritually as it helps you exercise spiritual authority. What do we do to Turn Trials to Triumphs?? When faced with trials and you are at the verge of giving up, remember your past victories, it seemed you would not make it, but you actually did. That is a boost to overcome. It will also help to keep a "Book of Victories"; write down previous triumphs and when faced with new ones, go over them to gain confidence. When faced with trials, do not center on them. Put your mind and focus on Him who has the power to help you overcome. When you are faced with trials, Bless and Praise the Lord. Let His good works be spoken of by you, portray the attitude of Triumph, (Psalm 29:11, Psalm 34:1). That way attention is shifted from trying issues to victory. When faced with trials pray to God, rather than talking to people who may never understand and can only give human help. Pray to God to help you grow from it, pray He helps you and leads you to the write people that will help you overcome, pray He enables you put on the best attitude through it all. When faced with trials, never doubt God. He is always there, He leads you, (Psalm 23, Hebrews 13:5). When faced with trials avoid listening to counsel from unbelievers, they are likely to talk from a perspective that spurs you to give up. Trust the word of God. When faced with trials, study the account of youths like us in the Bible, study scriptures that helps you overcome temptations, (2nd Peter 2:9, 1st Corinthians 10:13).Our trials are mostly disciplines to stay clear sin (lying, stealing, cheating, pornography, masturbation, deceit, fornication) and other small challenges that taint our garment. When faced with trials remember how strong you are in Christ, remind the devil that he has lost, that he has been made an open shame, remind him of the name Jesus, remind him that you operate from a stand point of Victory (Jesus Christ), remind him you have power and you are safe under Gods wings. Finally remind him he has been defeated thousand of years back, and in the words of Jesus tell him, "Get behind me Satan!" See you at the top! BY DEBORAH TRYON KTF! |

rommyth:Ogah Sir, Marriage is never by force, Nigeria unity is negotiable o. The initial Union was a scam because, different tribes that made up the entity called Nigeria today have never come together to discuss how they can live together, and that's why the country has never experienced peace and unity. So, if we must continue together as a country then, every region must seat to negotiate. |
South-East, South-South groups call for referendum By Emmanuel Uzodinma on July 3, 2016 Different pressure groups from the South East and the South South rose from a meeting in Umuahia over the weekend calling for a referendum on the 2014 Confab resolutions, as the only way forward to save Nigerian. The groups condemned what they called the hounding, arrests and intimidation of IPOB members, innocent youths, “whose only sin is their loss of faith in the lop sided, unfair and unjust unitary Nigeria where some regions are continuously treated as conquered people.” They insisted that the confab report must be retrieved from the archives, and early referendum conducted to determine the fate and future of Nigeria. The well attended meeting tagged “OLD EASTERN REGION MOVEMENT,” had representatives of Traders Organizations, Students Groups, Traditional Rulers and Town Unions. Others were representatives of CAN, Age Grades and Socio-cultural Organizations from the South East and South South zones, Igbo in Academia, South East Professionals, Niger Delta Youth Forum, PFN, World Igbo Congress, South East Traders Associations, Igbo Survival Movement, South East Congress, Igbo Women Assembly, amongst others. They agreed to be meeting bi-monthly until a larger and broad based coalition is built amongst like minds in the South West and Middle belt for a stronger demand for a referendum on the 2014 confab resolutions. Interim chairman of the group, Bishop Micheal Ibeneme lamented the continuous heaping of false allegation on the IPOB members in order to criminalize them, saying such wicked plots will only deepen division in Nigeria. “The IPOB are unarmed, non-violent mass movement of millions of young people, who are completely tired of the injustice in Nigeria as presently constituted. “Everyone knows they are a big headache to the FG, but the resort to laying false allegation on them in order to incriminate them, has turned out the last straw, there is a limit to what people can take. “This obvious plot to continue killing and arresting them in the hope that they would eventually turn around and suddenly fall in love with this unitary Nigeria where they have been permanently relegated to second class status will never work. The F.G. is clearly applying the wrong strategy. We want a referendum now”, he said. Leader of the Igbo Women Assembly Chief (Mrs.) Maria Okwor, who is deputy Chairman of the meeting said, only a referendum will solve the problem now. “Our children are massacred daily, arrested in their sleep on trumped up charges of planning to bomb China, Canada, and Germany. No evidence, no proof, this Abacha style is only designed to intimidate and cow everybody into fearful silence. “Instead of restructuring Nigeria into true federalism, the F.G. is employing brutal suppression to terrorize and intimidate citizens. We insist on an early referendum to decide the future of Nigeria. Brutality and suppression will never work. We can’t be intimidated. I am 81 years and Buhari and the DSS cannot intimidate me”. Founder of Igbo Youth Movement (IYM) and deputy secretary of Igbo Leaders of Thought, Evang. Elliot Uko, said the meeting should expand and bring in more credible people. “This meeting should invite more people and enlarge the coalition in order to harness opinions from more experienced minds. Yes, there is bitterness, discontent and anger in Eastern Nigeria today, but we must try and carry everybody along. Those who are yet to see that restructuring is the only way forward must be converted. “We would open their eyes to see that Nigeria can never move forward unless we revert to true federalism”, he declared. The groups will meet again in the end of July. Source: http://dailypost.ng/2016/07/03/confab-report-south-east-south-south-groups-call-for-referendum/?utm_source=dlvr.it_dp1&utm_medium=facebook |

jlinkd78:Dear thanks for speaking the truth. Our leaders both past and present know this obvious fact that true fiscal federalism is the only way we can remain a country but, greed and hunger for power to enrich themselves never let them do the needful. we are just deceiving ourselves here because, there has never been peace and unity in this country because of this feeding bottle system of government we are currently practicing. Disunity is a symptom. We just live in a denial here and keep massaging the truth. The solution to all these agitations lies in ending this feeding bottle structure that we practice which encourages neocolonialism, the amalgamation of North and South is a big fraud. There is so much injustice, inequity, subjugation, winner-takes-it-all. There can't be peace under this structure, and if there is no peace there can't be unity or progress. Everyone must be made to feel involved, protected and represented for there to be first, a sense of patriotism, then unity. In this present structure where you have too strong center, one people use the instrument of the state to oppress and marginalize others. And when they protest they get killed. And we are talking about peace and unity. Let's be sincere, where in the world would security operatives open fire on unarmed civilian doing peaceful protest? Let's stop massaging the truthThis feeding bottle system of government we are running in this nation is the cause of all these problems. We need to end this structure. I am in total support of true fiscal federalism where every zones contribute a token to the centre and take their future and pace of growth in their own hands, and express their cultures and religion freely, and practice their vocations unhindered. I strongly believed that this is the only way to end these agitations. People must agitate for self determination and for resource control when they feel marginalized and abandoned. Everyone must be made to feel involved, protected and represented for there to be first, a sense of patriotism, then unity. Any Dialogue is just a short term solution. INJUSTICE AND INEQUITY IS TOO MUCH IN THIS UNION. |
AmericanQuarter:I don't even know why some people are oppositing this true fiscal federalism. What are they scared of? Simply means managing your resources while contributing a token to the centre. It will ensure rapid development in many states and regions of the country. Let's stop relying on crude oil because, we were all living before the discovery of the crude oil. It will discourage those politicians from non oil and rich states whose interests in politics is to come and embezzle money from participating in politics. Etc |
WHY APC IS STRONGER THAN PDP. . 1. It took PDP 16 years to make a dollar = N197, but it took APC just 1 year to make a dollar N350. ... 2 It took PDP 16 years to destroy Nigeria, but it took APC just 1 year to massacre, dismantle, kill and bury Nigeria. ... 3. It took PDP 16 years to make fuel price N87 per litre, but it took APC 1yr to make fuel N145 per litre. ... 4. It took PDP 16 years to make Nigeria corrupt, but it took APC just 1 year to make Nigeria Fantastically corrupt. 5)It took PDP 16 years to keep the price of rice at N7,000 per bag, but took APC 1 year to project it to N18,000 per bag. 6) It took Jonathan 5yrs to travel to 15 countries, but it took Buhari 1 year to travel to 30 countries. 7)It took PDP 16years to apply resounding economic policies that made banks grow, but took APC 1 year to apply policies which they beg banks not to sack more staff. CONCLUSIVELY; I am beginning to think that while PDP is better in administration, APC is better in opposition, that's why APC is still campaigning, blaming, promising and playing opposition party despite being the Ruling party after one year. |
DropShot:Stop calling them after all you started the insult, "I doubt you have any credible certificate. Some certificates are not worth the piece of paper they're printed on. Yours surely is such. And get over the election loss trauma. The loss is irreversible." So ? |
irunooboo:Why is it that some people in this country are always afraid that a tribe wants to break out? Does it mean that the remaining groups can't survive without them or what? I read that the amalgamation that brought us together states that after 100 years that any group can go if they wish. So, why should it be a crime? Just asking. |
alizma:Why can't Mr. President save himself all these stress and embarrassment by simply providing his certificate and even make it public if he has one. |
DaBullIT:My brother, let's just believe that those sans offer their service free of charge. The question here is, why all these stress and waist of time, why can't PMB shame his critics by simply providing his certificate and even publish it if he has one. Honestly, this is becoming very embarrassing. |
