Xenophobia: Zambia Cancels International Friendly Game With S’Africa


Following the xenophobic attack, Zambia Football Association (ZFA) has cancelled the international friendly game against Bafana Bafana of South Africa at Heroes Stadium on Saturday, Igbere TV has learnt.

Igbere TV reports that the cancellation came on the heels of the recent xenophobic attack going on in the country.

The national team feared that the game could lead to further diplomatic attacks if the game is allowed to be played.

Football, which is seen as a uniting factor that not only links but strengthens and mend relationships, will not be able to do what it is known for globally.

Andrew Kamanga, president of FAZ confirmed the cancellation on Robert Marawa’s Sport Worldworld.

“The game is off, and we communicated that to SAFA and they understood. We have been talking to try and monitor the situation,” Kamanga said on the show.

I laugh at the ignorance of Nigerians that call for Attacks on South African businesses in Nigeria. Their false sense of pride has made them delusional.

South African businesses are some of the highest employers of Labour in Nigeria. They hire Nigerians.

Mtn, multichoice (dstv) and shoperite are some of the more popular South African owned businesses that have generated billions in taxes, employed thousands of Nigerians which in turn has made life better for millions of Nigerian families that rely on the income of their family members that work In those places.

South African business pay rent to us, they pay taxes to us and most importantly, they employ us. The fact that you are so stupid to think that attacking a few Nigerian branches of a Multinational company will hurt them more than it hurts us is just amusing at best.




Having said that, it’s time to hold our government accountable. Nigerians are like the pariah of this world. Nobody wants us. We have to fix us to and liberate the black nation. The biggest Black Country on earth should be on a global pedestal as the leader in everything.
We should be the leaders in this world!! Let’s rise up!!

This uncivilized and barbaric behavior of the south African people is rooted to their wickedness and lack of exposure. Nigerians should persuade their relatives and friends who are residence and soujourners in south Africa to come home immediately. Our obodo nigeria still guarantee life safety, if not prosperity. Don't let your body fly back home to your family. This xenophobic attackers have no respect for a big man or even a child of God, they are cruel and merciless beast. Nigerians are warned !!!

This is an evidence that poverty has damaged the moral fibre of humanity in this country. Strange crime are winding back into the society. Some are using ladies panties, some babies, some ritualist, prostitution among lyoung ladies, robberies among young men. Buhari should do something with the economy asap.

The president should be thinking of how to boost the finances of self employed individuals with the objective of standardizing the private ventures in nigeria. Most private businesses are sub standard as a result of our poor economy. Nigerians are masters in doing monkey businesses and that is as a result of extreme poverty looming the nation. Advanced Economic ideas such as Taxation, pension plan etc can only follow up after a reputable standard of operation in a civilized society has been achieved. Therefore let Mr. President be reminded that he has serious work to do to turn around the economy of this country in a way that self employed will be among the beneficiaries.

Nigeria should opt for advanced power generation solution that are used in abroad. Depending on hydro alone cannot solve our problem. Enough of generator sets everywhere.
