Ok now, I am beginning to respect this guy!! He confidently put his reputation at stake by predicting in the open that both Nigeria and Mozambique would win. And it went as he predicted. There is got to be something about this guy. |
What a weekend!! I have just received a healthy dose of laughter reading thru this thread. This is comedy at it's best. |

Any African politician should know Mo Ibrahim for the simple fact that he runs an organisation that is so bent on promoting good governance that it gives out 5 million dollars to the best performing president yearly. The only reason Nigerian leaders(Dimeji et al) don't care about such an award, hence don't know Mo Ibrahim is because they've stolen so much money that 5 million dollars for them is chicken change. |
When Sanusi is through with blinding you guys, it would be too late for you to realise that the whole banking crises was created for a purpose. Little by little, the Sanusi would be unravelled. His ill intentions would become so obvious to Nigerians and Nairalanders(very slow people) and they would start crying fowl. By then it would be too late. |
Every Nigerian has the right to be a member of a political party.Whether you are a Chief judge, Teacher, Armed Robber, Cleaner, Pastor or whatever. The idea is that in holding certain positions as sensitive as maybe a CBN Governor, Chief Judge, Clergy etc, you are not to allow your political affiliation to have any impact on your job description. So I don't know what this Falana guy is talking about. Truly activists are only useful for military regimes. They always seem to loose salt when democracy is practised. |
ud4u:He was never focused in the first place. The guy is just a loose cannon, with no idea of what to do with an economy unknown and unpredictable as that of Nigeria. How can you investigate transactions from 250 thousand. Its so impossible. Loads of road side traders in all those our run down markets lodge much more than that amount in their banks daily. The guy Sanusi is clueless. He has destroyed our fragile economy, now he is looking for ways to appease the average nigerian who thinks 250 thousand is a lot of money, by anooucing this impossible nonsense. To be sincere, I would have preferred Sanusi as an EFCC Chairman. That job is more suitable for the guy. He isn't smart enough to be CBN Governor. |
What kind of education did all these Nairalanders get? Nigeria has a problems oooh!!! How come people are here believing that this is a real article ![]() Haba Nairalanders, you all can't be this dumb. Naaaah! |
Does Falana really think he has contributed anything to the Nigerian State. Please Soludo has contributed to the betterment of Nigerians 10 million times more than Falana. So Mr Falana, zip it! |
Woow! Thast is a big one for Akingbola. His decision to flee the country was the wisest thing to do. |
And why are Hurricanes always named after ladies?? Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Elle ETC. |
For the sake of fairness, after watching that video, watch this video :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yscOZcP9WzM&NR=1 It is a complete documentary about the makers of the video. Those people sef get problem. They are looking for money. |
Fhemmmy:Did you hear of any single computer that crashed. In Nigeria where nobody cared about being Y2K compliant, there was no record of problems with computers anywhere. It was an unbelievably huge fraud that poured billions to the pockets of American IT firms. The noise about climate change is essential to creating a brand new economy tagged "The Green Economy". An economy that would ensure that the west remains on top while China is left in the 20th century. |
Yep man. I tell you, I was reading a book recently "Money and Wealth in the New Millennium " by Norm Franz, and I was shocked at the accuracy of his postulations especially as regards the current economic crises and its magnitude. The book was written in 2001. It talks extensively of the new world orderand how the "pending" economic crises would be used to usher in a new world order. It talks about the clamour for climate change and how the proponents of the new world order world seek to promote a new ideology - The Gaia effect. Reading the book left me with a chilling effect. Many of the global happenings- Reccesion, Swine Flu, Climate change craze, et al appear planned with a predetermined intention. |
Bravo!!! Soludo is the Solution |
^^^^^^^ Sanusi is a very frustrated man right now for a lot of reasons. First, his agenda is no more workable. Secondly, he has created a huge mess of the Nigerian economy and now the results are obvious as Fuel stations are beginning to have long queues and the economy is grounding as a result of lack of credit in the system. It is in his frustrations that he opens his mouth boko haram style, knowing fully well that Nigerians(usually very slow people) would soon start asking questions about his actions and the resultant destruction it has caused the economy. |
I wont be surprised if those scholars are correct. The world has people with capacity for such evil. |
Another overbloated fraud to create new products for a new kind of economy. Remember Y2K and all those doomsday scenarios?? How planes were going to fall from the sky because of a faulty clock in the computer system? In my opinion, there might be a little warming here and there and we all do need to change our attitude to energy, but all the hype and noise is just a bunch of gibberish. |
Jargon!!! Hmmmmmm! Nigerians are a sad bunch. How can people believe this nonsense. Which 1 trillion Naira was looted?? The money has been lost in the stock market and now you need forensic experts to trace it?? OOOOh Pleeease!! We have bad leaders because we have an illiterate followership. It is that knowledge that makes a woman like Farida Waziri come out and talk this kind of jargon, knowing fully well that majority of Nigerians, both educated and uneducated are all big time illiterates. |
The most reliable paper to advertise on is The Guardian. I have placed adverts there a couple of time and the response is always overwhelmingly great. All it takes to advertise is to submit ur designs and pay the required fees. I can't remember the exact charges but 1/4 page is around = or - 100,000 naira per day. Half page is almost 200,000 naira. The is their advert number: 01- 7736351. |
wirinet:Can you please explain to me point by point what crimes they have committed, Please I would like to know. FYI,Issuing loans to companies without collateral is not a criminal offence. Rather, it is a breach of proper risk management practices. Giving out loans to buy shares has never been a criminal offence, Rather, it is a bad business practice. Now if you want to start killing people(Sanusi's wish) for practicing business unprofessionally, then about 99% percent of the world's business people would be dead by now. There is a huge difference between government officials pilfering public funds and private officials(the bank CEO's) making poor investment decisions. |
Dis Guy:It is fair to say that you are not well informed on Sanusi's banking palaver. Sanusi's has repeated a million and one times that the problem is that these banks over exposed themselves to Oil and Gas as well as Margin traded loans. He asserts that they didn't follow proper risk assessment practices before giving out these loans. Now I do not disagree with him on that point. There was some recklessness across the world financial sector. Not only here in Nigeria. The whole world went crazy with applying capital to risky trades. Now what I don't understand is why a CBN Governor would make a comment like that towards folks that haven't been found guilty of any crime whatsoever. |
I hope he did not say that.
He said it. I have the paper right here with me. |
de ting wey dem accuse these ceo's of, is 1000% worse than stealing. if you buy shares from some of de banks for N6million and because of de irresponsible loans, your N6million is now worth N600,000, you go sabi say, dem don do you more harm than stealing ya money! person wey give out loan of N45billion with N5billion collateral, don break every rule wey banks must operate under. dem don criminally put deposits at great risk. by de time wey efcc finish with dem, true picture go emerge.
But na global thing. The whole world has suffered the downturn. It was the extremities of capitalist system that is responsible for the downturn and not the bank CEO's. Nothing wrong in giving out loans without physical collateral. Sometimes reputation or credit worthiness is enough collateral. Also, most advanced countries give capital to businesses without "what we call collateral in Nigeria". If someone has a project to execute and that projects is worth billions of dollars, how does one come up with a collateral for such a project? Sanusi is just trying to deceive those that aren't in the know. |
oh boy, de one wey worse pass boko haram, na una leaders wey dey make policies and de policies dey lead to the deaths of 100's of nigerians daily. imagine how many lives will be saved if una leaders use funding for road construction responsibly. banker wey fit give loan of N45billion with only N5billion collateral, worse pass any boko haram criminal activity. de statement wey dem attribute to sanusi, if true, na simply a reflection of the thoughts of most nigerians. if one sergeant doe rise up and kill most of these people, most nigerians go jump for joy, with de exception of de ones wey dey diaspora, expectedly.
That na why most Nigerians dey suffer poverty because dem too they wish for person downfall. If to say na Government people wey dey thief the money na im we dey wish badluck, e for better. |
rethink:Not even Sanusi the accuser has claimed that these CEO's stole money. Hear me: The accusation is that they gave out loans and the loans failed to perform because of the global crises. Now please tell me how on earth someone would prescribe to hang and shoot people for giving out loans. You can only have a Boko Haram mentality to think like that. With a guy like Sanusi, Children would be jailed for failing to do their school assignments. I don't know anyone that wishes anybody dead for giving out loans. |
dove24u:The Tribune article says debtors. The Guardian article says Bank CEO's. I think Sanusi is refering to the CEO's not the debtors. |
Deep Soul:How much disdain can justify such inflammatory incitements?? Don't forget that their only accusation is issuing of legitimate albeit non-performing loans to clients. Lets remember also that no court has found any of these CEO'S guilty. |
citizenY:Can you please explain to me how issuing of loans becomes a crime punishable by death penalty?? Only someone with a Boko Haram mindset would ever think like ttha. I lost loads in the stock market but I'm not complaining because when the goin was good, I enjoyed loads also. |
This is Boko Haram mindset in action. What kind of CBN Governor is this?? |
Sanusi is going nuts. He is talking of hanging and shooting bank CEO's for giving out loans. What kind of CBN Governor is this?? The is a boko haram mindset in action. This guy is taking this thing too far. Guardian's Headline today reads: Indicted Bank Chiefs Deserve Death, Says Sanusi Quote Sanusi : "Those found culpable in this dastardly act are not vulnerable people that need our sympathy. If not for the rule of law, some of them should be tied to the stake and shot."This is the link http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/news/article01//indexn2_html?pdate=241009&ptitle=Indicted%20Bank%20Chiefs%20Deserve%20Death,%20Says%20Sanusi |
