The father is very stupid.

I suspect he sleeps with his daughter and was angry to find out there were other guys having a piece of the pie too.

How old is the girl? Even if she is under 16, you cant flog sexual activity out of a person. If stopping sexual activity could be that easily achieved, there would be no children born in areas with wars and famine.

All you clowns saying get a lawyer. Do you think this broke azz tenant who cant pay N200,000 annual house rent will be able to afford any lawyer let alone a decent one?

If I was the landlord I would send goons to beat you up. If you still dont do the needful I'll ask them to give you the final treatment.

Bloody lazy tenants living free in another mans property. Onyeochi!

Bloody slowpoke of a tenant. No landlord takes this step if the tenant is not a bloody ingrate.

You are more than likely a perennial debtor who doesnt pay rent on time and is in arrears.

Leave the mans house and go and die!

Press charges, dear.
With good lawyers, cool money awaits you.
You may contact me.
So these irritants that havent paid 2 years rent will be able to afford a lawyer? I seriously doubt it. The punisment for illegal eviction is a fine and it most likely wont be greater than 2 years rent.

Landlords - Dont let your non paying tenant get too comfortable. Throw him/her out ASAP and let him take you to court. You are better of paying the fine tham letting some bleeping immigrants in Lagos get a free ride!

Paying your bleeping rent you bleeping leeches. If you cant pay Lagos rent go back to your bloody village.

These barstewards looking for sympathy have probably not paid their rent for over 2 years.

Any slowpoke can go on the internet and claim police illegally evicted them. Bleep em. I hate these type of bleeping tenants.

This is not a defense of corruption but the defense of human rights. Do you know how traumatic the experience would have been for his young family? There is nothing wrong in people being asked to account for their actions but the way this government has been going about it has a tinge of persecution. As regards the 11 billion, he has been tried and it resulted in an acquittal.
What human rights? You lack understanding. Being arrested for suspicion of a crime is not against your human rights. They should have arrested him straightaway instead of inviting him by letter. A common thief who stole a N100 item would have been arrested on the spot but you and your banana republic afford luxuries to pen robbers who looted our commonwealth.

Where I live. I dont pay govt to use my land. On purchase of a property, you pay stamp duty and thats the end of it. You only pay a council tax for the provision of essential services like fire service, waste removal, road maintenance, bus services e.t.c.

Leaseholders, usually owners of flats in multiple dwelling buildings with communal areas pay ground rent to the owner of the land.

stagger:
But in my view, the pressure on the Naira will continue and the CBN will be forced to make a decision about the exchange rate very soon. The question is, for how long will the CBN continue to use the foreign reserves to defend the Naira? Switzerland could not do it with their Euro/Swiss Franc peg, Japan's interventions to stop the Yen from strengthening could not do it, and I don't see Nigeria being able to do it when there is virtually only one source of USD for the central bank which has dropped by 65%.

Frankly put, Bubu is in trouble and he knows it. That is why he is running all over the world looking for money.
I hate people like you who try to sound knowledgeable on issues but are actually clueless.

Japan's government's problem is nothing like Nigeria's. In fact its the opposite. The Yen regularly gains on the dollar and becomes too strong so Bank of Japan devalues the currency so their exports become attractive. You illiterates are asking for devaluation in the face of a weakining Naira.

I wish we had the Swiss problem. The Swiss National Bank artificially kept the value of the franc low and when it removed the cap pegging the Franc to the Euro at 1.20, the Franc appreciated by 15% in one day.

Now tell me do the 2 issues above look like the problems facing the Naira in any shape or form?

Why is Fayose's government buying dollar at black market rates or better still why are they buying dollars at all?

If his state govt have a genuine reason to buy dollars I am sure there are mechanisms in olace for CBN to sell to them.

Why dont you use a Nigeria based company to host?

Hyperia has been in Nigeria forever. If all you small players used their services instead of paying foreign companies in dollars, they would have been a much more successful company.

lwkmdie.
Please share d second time. I really enjoyed d first one.
2nd time

This was London in 2004

Funny enough, it involved my friend in the hood who I decided to go and visit in my first story.

He had relocated to London about 5 years earlie and I had recently arrived to study for my Masters degree. The chap was a full time hustler. Stolo, obembe, akpati, co10... Any thing that brought in street money he was on it.

I wasnt cut out for all the street ish but I dabbled into it a bit by putting out the word and helping him get rid of the half price stuff he had. Many butter chaps in my Uni bought half price laptops from me and I made between £30 and £60 on each deal by adding a little to the price my friend offered it for sale

One day a fooking Zimbabwe bwoy I worked with told me one of his connects had £300 worth of Sainsburys vouchers that he wanted to sell for half price. As usual I put the word out there and strangely my guyman friend wanted the vouchers.

I could have asked the Zimbabwe rassclat to bring the vouchers to the house but because I wanted to make my own tachere I told him to meet me somewhere close to the house.

I told my guy the vouchers were £200 and he gave me the cash. Off I went and did the deal. As a JJC with no concrete street knowledge and doing the deal albeit with some random guy but in the presence of the Zimbabwe fuckboi, I believed it was all gravy. I took a cursory glance at the vouchers, all looked okay so I handed over £150 and pocketed my £50 profit.

I went back home and handed over the booklet of vouchers to my guy. He flipped through them and from the look on his face I knew something was wrong. On closer examination it became apparent that the vouchers were printed on a home printer and poorly cut to size. The biggest indicator was that the inside of the booklet backcover was made from an old Kellogs cornflakes box.

I immediately called the Zimbabwe fuckboi and he told me it was nothing to do with him as he only linked me and the seller.

My friend being one who never liked to get scamned although he made his living scamming others decided he would go and pass of the fake vouchers in Sainsburys anyway

We took a short drive down to our local Sainsburys. He parked and asked that we go in but my liver failed me so I remained in the car. About 15 minutes later, I saw my friend, as fat as he was running full sprint towards the car. He jumped in, started the car and we sped off.

He tried to pass the vouchers off for some electronic items but the lady at the till called her manager. They stylishly detained him by engaging him in a conversation and they had also called a security man over. Being a road man, he knew the cops had been called. He used a diversion technique and bailed.

When Dbanjs song mobolowo won came out, he would play it over and over again and we'd reminisce over that faithful day's events and laugh.
CrimeRe: Have You Ever Been Scammed Before??? Share Your Experience. by pappilo(m): 5:47pm On Feb 15, 2016
Two times I can remember.

1st time - This happened in 95/96. I was on my way to my sixth form college but decided to go see my friend in the hood. He was an up and coming guy man and I wanted to see if he had any new 090 fire lines. I alighted from the bus and as I walked towards his house, I saw 2 chaps playing table tennis.

As I walked past the players, one of them called out to me; egbon shey ele ba wa count scores (can you help keep scores). I was in no hurry and enjoyed watching table tennis so I obliged.

The game carried on and one of them was so terrible it was embarrasing. Game ended something like park-2. The really rubbish player brought out a wad of cash and gave it to the chap who won. The winner was the same one that called out to me.

I made to leave but the winner called out to me and walked alongside with me. He told me (in yoruba) that the other chap was an ibo boy who had stolen thousands from his dad and was gambling it all away. He advised that I bet on a game with him and I was sure to double my money.

Even though I was a below average player, having seen how rubbish the ibo boy was, I didnt hesitate. We walked back to the tennis board. The yoruba boy suggested I give the ibo boy 15 ahead to entice him. I agreed cause the ibo boy was really rubbish. I laid allthe money I had on me. I think it was N50 but cant be sure. What I can remember was that it was just enough to take me to school and back.

I started the game with the 1st of my 5 serves. The previously rubbish ibo boy returnes it with a back handed smash, 0-16 shocked. I was shook but I thought to myself, ah a fluke return. 2nd service, same thing, 3rd service, fore hand smash from the ibo boy, 0-18.

cry My eyes turned red as It started to dawn on me that I had been scammed. I dropped my bat, turned to my fellow yoruba boy who I believed to be my ally and said I wasnt playing again. He shook his head and with respect he replied 'ah, egbon eti bet' (You cant go back on a bet after the game has started)

I picked up my bat and tried to salvage the situation with 2 iká services but the ibo boy was so good he won the points, 0-20 cantab! The boy then finished me off with 2 robó agbeti services.

I left the table in shame and walked to my friends house a short distance away. I knocked on the gate for minutes but there was no response. My day just became worse. I had no money and there was no way I could make it to school. Tears started to roll down my eyes as I began my 4km walk back home.

A similar example happened in Oshodi and the guy was made to pull his camouflage short, thank God he had an inner short that saved the day. So also, incidents of the army boys removing shoes from people. It barbaric and must stop.
In 1995, some soldiers stationed at a NEPA near my house made me remove my Ikeja bought Texas Steer boots and walk home bare footed.

I walked home and told my mum what happened. Being a no-nonsense woman, she took me back there and tounge lashed the soldiers. They returned my boots and ended up begging my mum.

The weird thing is that it was soldiers from the very same NEPA office who bravely helped fight off armed robbers from my house a few months later.
