I used to own a Rottweiler called Boxer. He had a loud deep bark and everyone was scared of him. I suddenly had to work at another state and only came home once a month for awhile. We have owned other dogs but my wife was never comfortable with Rottweilers, so i had to sell him since she wasnt an Alpha to him. That night the silence in my compound was loud, my neighbours came asking of Boxer, only then did i realized the sense of security the dog and its bark gave to my household and also my neighbors. One of those sleepless nights i was up watching TV, i went to the fridge to get water then i was startled by a shadow only for me to spot a man tip toeing towards my car. The rest of the story is history, but the next day i bought a replacement dog and till this day there is always a dog in my house. Hearing the barks keep me alert, these are not times for deep sleep. |
Transparency is so hard to come by these day |
nairalanda1:Well said. Buhari had all the support and opportunity to make Nigeria greater. Nigeria's problem started from him. Jonathan wasnt pushed out because of hunger or a falling economy. |
EreluRoz:2012 Nigeria was third fastest growing economy behind Mongolia & China with a GDP growth of 7.68% and the fastest in Africa. This growth was largely due to growth in non-oil sector. 2010 the growth was 8.4% Under Buhari the year 2017 our economy recorded annual growth of 0.83% while 2016 was 1.58%. Now, what was that your silly statement about Jonathan's administration again?? |
Stealing runs in the average Nigerians DNA. Be it rich or poor, male or female, old or young. Give a Nigerian funds to hold or use for something impersonal, he/she must mismanagement or embezzle it. Sorry to say, regardless of our strong religious and self righteous communities, many Nigerians will not make heavenly because deep inside there is this innate desire to just steal. Thieves everywhere, e get wetin them no go thief? Money, land, child, girlfriend, wife, you, your destiny, your blockos, pant.... Haba Naija, which way na? |
With 15 Million naira you can; 1. Buy 3 cars, register them at the airport and begin a car hire service also yo may register them on bolt, uber or taxify. 2. Get a small parcel of land, build a barn, some pens & good water supply. Hire 2 guys then start animal husbandry with Rams, goats & pigs. Avoid poultry & fishery, they have higher risks. 3. Rent a warehouse preferably close to a market then load the ware house with grains, rice & beans when price is at its lowest. During festive period or as the market dictates, sell & profit 4. Buy a land or building carcass in a profitable part of your state, go into JV, Joint venture to develop it then sell and split the profit according to the JV agreement. 5. Buy property, depending on your location in 6 - 12 months, resell and profit. You may make as much profit as any good business in that same time. Property business can be crazy. 6. Depending on your location, purchase/ rent a small house or apartment, in a good area toosh it up very well and start Airbnb. 7. Crypto and trading is good too but requires skills and constant monitoring, if you can go for it but dont leave it to someone to manage it for you, they will always cheat you. Its not predictable & the risks are high. All business comes with risks, especially when it comes to getting trustworthy people to take care of your investments, the moment you have that covered, with God by your side and some patience you will be smiling to the bank. |
Aww. This made me think of adding one more, give my girls a sibling.... Then i got a reality check. For this current economy?! More blessings to your home bro. Lovely kids. |
In this modern times the only two important questions a buyer should ask a car dealer are; 1. What is the VIN (can be gotten from the vehicle) 2. When did the vehicle enter Naija (can be gotten from the custom papers) With these 2 information a buyer can ascertain the vehicles condition when it left abroad and how long it has been abused in Nigeria. Carry a good mechanic along for inspection then ignore whatever the car dealers spews from his mouth |
A downgrade to the classic IS200. One of Japans first competitors to Benz C 200 Kompressor & BMW 3 series of the late 90s to early 2000s. Only if you knew the gem you just butchered. |
nairalanda1:Terrorist need no excuse. Unconventional warfare is their way. Did ISIS not bomb a Catholic Church in Istanbul some days back? There is already a high rate of terrorist attacks on hospitals in the past decade with 299 cases of violence on medical premises by Houthi and ISIS. Reference; National Library of Medicine; Rising Threat of Terrorist Attacks Against Hospitals. Violence begets violence, If Hamas is ready to dialogue Isreal will have no choice but to cease all hostilities. |
nairalanda1:Yes. Hospitals, places of worship, monuments, historic buildings & IDP camps should be neutral zones. But unfortunately terrorists do not follow rules of engagement, they capitalize and abuse the rules protecting such areas, that is why sting operations like this is necessary. This is what Special Forces & Commandos are training for. |
This is how kidnappers & bandits should be infiltrated and taken out. Only if we were that smart. |
1. If you value friendship try as much as possible not to lend money to a friend, family member or lover. Unless you are 100% sure they are prudent and will payback Just give what you can & dont expect it back. 2. Dont lend whatever you are not comfortable with letting go. 3. Do not borrow money to fund a habit. 4. Do not borrow more than your monthly earnings or hustle. This is my financial code, born out of experience. The 2 things that destroy friendship is woman & money, i value friendship so i try to keep those 2 things far away. |
Nobody here knows her journey, its pathetic reading some comments here. Something is seriously wrong with this lady and casting aspirations is just a part of the problem. She should be psychologically evaluated. She is just one in a million out on the streets in need of help, but luckily her former status has brought succour. Back in the day until not too long ago our sportsmen were really under paid and forgotten the moment they are out of the scene, not just sports. When one has represented his/her country in any form its not enough to just provide renumeration, these people should be engaged by the communities, government & NGOs. Their experience, knowledge and skill will help boost and shape the upcoming ones in need of a mentor. Thank God things are changing now, but it wasnt like this. |
FitCorper:Pls let him strike. Infact we want him to strike, but first start with the bandits/terrorists. The ones in the bushes & the ones in office. |
The only thing shocking and of interest to to me here is that Gambia's D28,000 is equal to ₦300,000:00. Chai see our Naira o! |
maxiuc:80yrs has been my cap for a long time now. I'll just like to close my eyes and go while i can still do the basic things by myself. |
It was only a matter of time before it came to Abuja. All her surrounding states are already overrun by terrorists and bandits. From Kaduna to Niger. Plateau to Nasarawa. Kogi to Benue. Its a shame that the whole Federal Government watched this menace grow out of control. From Maiduguri to Katsina & Kaduna. Save for one or two states, the whole North is now under serious threats from so called bandits, terrorists. Our security forces are totally overwhelmed due to political will and not might because we have the capability to crush them all. But tribalism & religious bigotry clouded in the name of politics has allowed this monster to feast unchallenged without fear. |
Mayhem1:See this daft. Calling me werey. Nyanya is in Nasarawa?? Nyanya that is under AMAC. You must be ashamed of yourself. You probably think Apo ends at Legislative quarters. E-diot. Abeg use google before you type shit next time & Wash your dirty mouth before the next insult. |
Tovard:You probably live in Maitama, Asokoro or far from reality. Galadimawa recorded not less than 20 incidents last year, talk less of Apo, Gudu, Gwagwalada, Abaji, Nyanya, Kubwa, Idu... FCT is save na him terrorist blow up prison? Or u think say Abuja na just the City center? SMH. Just pray your vehicle doesnt get faulty around Lugbe, Kubo, Mpape in the night, na sorry go be your name |
Fear no gree am to add DSS where he stayed over 6 weeks. |
Everybody adds weight in marriage, not just women. All the skinny boys i knew when i was a bachelor all have pot bellies and grew chubbier. Apart from the physically active ones who still maintain a gym regimen. In marriage both parties mature physically and experience shape changes. Women go through pregnancy, men get to eat good food not just indomie. |
Quality Dog food is now off the roof, heck even the low quality dog food is expensive now. i was never one to cheat out on dog food but the current economy has made me falter. What i do now is low quality local rice mixed with cray fish waste, fish head or chicken feet. some times chicken liver and intestines mixed with the rice. This method is cheaper than spending about 40k monthly on quality dry food, but its more stressful. You have to take out time to go to the market and prepare the meals. i am open to learn of more cost effective meals, @Monopoly, is kuli-kuli and grounded groundnut that effective? i am thinking of also mixing it to the rice and crayfish. Guys, more ideas on feeding will go a long way in giving our pets a good life despite the harsh economic situations. |
Caseless:You have done that for me already ![]() |
There are brands that continuously make very unreliable models over the years. From gearbox issues to excessive oil consumption, engine failure & electrical issues. There are brands that their models are sold with a premium price & cost a premium to maintain. Then after all that they depreciate so quickly that in a couple years a Corolla will cost more. There are brands that are good in one region and horrible elsewhere. Nissan is very good in the US but bring it to Nigeria and see hell. Finally there are brands with models cursed with all the above. Now that is a bad model from a bad brand. But regardless people still stubbornly buy them and even have a cult following. I will not mention the brands & their models cos their die hard fans are here. They know themselves sha. |
age is a mudafuka. chai, |
As a kid i was never moved by driving. Mostly due to an accident i was involved in, so growing up i was always chauffeured. As a young man, i took taxis (drop) or okada, when i bought my first car in Abuja, i didnt drive it until i sold it. Then Lagos happened to me! The Lagos transport system is a nightmare, i bought a car before renting an apartment. The car arrived on a Friday and from Monday i just got in and started driving with the aid/ moral of some friends. Been driving and a car enthusiast ever since. |
I believe we still have a long way to go in car painting. Its really expensive to get a proper paint job, even abroad. So we get what we pay for... Which is mostly crap! |
@OP, Why are you referring to a man as a she? This is not America, here we have two genders; male & female. One has organs to conceive while the other dont, one has XX Chromosomes the other has XY Chromosome. I hope you know homosexuality is still an offence. Bloggers & wannabes should stip bringing western crap here! |
. |
SlaveofGod:Couldnt this be better stated as "the bombing of human beings or Nigerian citizens". Why must we use religion to classify our countrymen. If the dead were all traditional worshippers would it have been justified? Lets not forget we are first, human beings. RIPto the dead. |
Thank God no be Akpu. The guy for divorce you instantly. |
