agaugust: South Africa gets cash refunded back to her for peace keeping in Sudan. UN/AU pays for all SANDF expenses. The Sudan Dafur mission costs South Africa almost nothing. Find a better excuse for abandoning a tough mission while same President Zuma is in Abuja now calling on African armies to unite amd fight all evil....while he retreats from crisis zone and abandons Dafur people without feelings.
Nigeria spent over $10 Billion of tax payers money to single handedly fund a 10 year war of 15,000 NA troops of which 1,000 Nigerian soldiers died leaving widows and fatherless children behind in Lagos, Abuja, everywhere. No UN, AU, or ECOWAS ever paid us one dollar refund. Yet a Nigerian army battalion is still based in Liberia/Sierra Leone today since 26 years ago !
Nigeria has NEVER complained one day !!! True lover of Africa. There are many reasons for withdrawing We have more important things to do with our men. |

iblawi: You can't deploy troops to fight book haram in Nigeria, the media is mistaking the whole issue. Special force training and developing our defence industry is what we heard hear in Nigeria. US and UK already have troops in Nigeria for the same reason and they have never been to battle field to fight book haram. When we actually needed help no nation wanted to help but now that the whole book Hiram issue is ending everybody wants to take the glory. No one deployed because you never actually asked anyone. In the African Defence Journal article on the Mercs they mention how GLJ had the option of calling on the ASF (southern and eastern brigades were operational) but didnt exercise the option. If it was not an election year you can bet your top dollar he would have asked the AU for help. |

stillchris: this is the problem with the media. i guess SA media is not so different from ours after all.
i watched the chief of defense visit and nothing like deployment was mentioned. just collaborations.
Nigeria does not allow foreign boots on it's soil except for training and non combat reasons.
i sense the media trying to change the narrative. first it was america and now SA.
it's not funny at all
A recent visit of the SANDF defence chief also did not mention any deployment to fight boko haram.
So I wonder where the SA media for their false news from.
and this was the main purpose of zuma's visit that the media claimed was to seal the deployment of your military
i'm not against collaborations between the two countries but we should learn to scrutinize the media and get our facts right. last year it was ugandan forces deploying to nigeria[/ Chad and Cameroon had small ops in our territory in border regions The visit from that fat cu.nt Zuma is irrelevant (lile everything he does) it was Chokes part of the entourage that was important SANDF deployed would mean you have everything to gain and nothing to lose If they help you then you get the glory If they fvck up then you get to blame them and distance yourself from the error These things are political, and so you must view them from that context |

agaugust: You are the one derailing this thread by accussing others of derailing when you are the one creating senseless arguments and loads of lies/deception. When you posted your big lie saying army guide wrote that CAM GUN is most advanced in the world when the website NEVER said so, you did not see your false claims as derailment, but when I correct your lies you call that derailment.
Stop using Naira-land forum to spread false information, go do your fraud on Rand-Land. How is what you did any different? Army guide is pretty clear - cam gun employs 2 different world firsts. That makes it the most advanced. But fine, let me be more specific: The GI-30 CAM GUN is the most advanced OPERATIONAL 30mm auto-cannon in the worldNow, argument is over. Can we please move on with our lives? |

I would like to take a moment to apologize to the rest of the forum for allowing myself to be sucked into the pointless argument that we have seen over the last few pages. I made my statement and backed it up with citations to prove it - i should have left it at that. However, being called a liar despite providing the evidence i based my statement on was simply too provocational. My apologies, I will work hard on preventing myself being baited in the future and will simply ignore provocation. Ps: badger the most advanced |

agaugust: For the sake of this thread, please feel free to post photos of Badger IFV and attach the following information confirmed by me on Denel's official Badger specs data brochure and defence-industry daily website.
Badger IFV has one low rate of fire 30mm cannon with 3 km maximum effective range and one 7.62mm light machine gun with 1 km maximum effective range. That is all it has as an IFV and costs $5 million per vehicle.
Please do not say it is the most modern in Africa as the Badger fails to meet NATO standard of a modern well equipped IFV, it has no anti-tank missiles and so 100 Badger IFVs will be destroyed by 1 T-72 tank in 2 hours. Just post Badger photos and don't add lies and deception to it. Thanks.
Photo : Badger IFV, always beautiful Feel free to post the NATO IFV definition Cam-gun is the most advanced gun of its type in the world, that is a fact. Badger will take out the T72 with an Ingwe - i know this is hard for you to grasp but badgers fight as a group. Where do you get 5 million from? What lies have i told? I said it was the most advanced, i have proven so with citations. You need to drop the topic and move on. |
