Christianity EtcLet The Bible Speak For Itself by paxonel(op):
Over the years in christianity, there were several cases where some people assuming the position of the leaders of the church misunderstanding scriptures and deceiving the world and Christians(it is still happening today).

For instance, there were times when the church and the whole world was made to believe that the earth was flat in shape and not like a sphere.(a position which was never backed up with scriptures). But billions of people dogmatically believe in this erroneous doctrine simply because their pastors or Pope says so, until the era of Gallelio.

The same thing is still happening today in all churches you can ever step your foot on.

The leader or pastor or Reverend or Father or Daddy GO is the one talking for God and the bible.

The leader is not having a clue of what the bible truly represent or he deliberately do not want to have a clue simply because he is benefiting financially from lies.

The people who are listening to these leaders will not possibly perceive what is happening to them.

And the nation at large is being affected negatively.

If you are an atheist, this is not for you to smile because, your case is even worst.

You are miserable because you are equally affected by the errors of religion so long you interact with people.
You cannot possibly understand what is happening to you.
A religious person with the wrong mindset takes over the position of authority there it goes again.

Bible, you don't know
Quran, you don't know

How then will you redeem yourself as an atheist from the society?

How will you speak and correct that religious person in position of authority from his own religious point of view (if you have the opportunity to do so)when you don't know anything about the bible or quran?

THE WHOLE MESSAGE OF THE BIBLE IN SUMMARY

Matthew 22:35
35.Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36.Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37. Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38. This is the first and great commandment.
39.And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

Passing the wrong information to people in the name of preaching, is not a way to love them

Everyone want to obey this instruction of christ and live better, but few people are truly willing to undergo the process of understanding what people truly need before they can truly understand how to love them, and that process is education, attending a quality school.

And you will agree with me that there are no quality universities and colleges in Nigeria(or are schools of theological studies quality schools?).

this explains why Christians in Nigeria cannot meet up to this standards of Jesus Christ.

So, they resolve to going church for people to see, so that they can be seen as holy people.

A newly wedded Canada-based Nigerian lady identified as Eniola(Yoruba), has taken to the social media platform, Twitter, to reveal that she refused to kneel down before her husband during their recent traditional marriage, adding that she and her hubby instructed the elders at her wedding not to ask her to kneel down.
She wrote: "Speaking of submission, during my Yoruba engagement, my husband and I told the Alagas to not use that word or ask me to kneel for him. Everyone told me it wouldn't be possible because, culture. But guess whose knees didn't touch the ground?."

She added: "My sister’s wedding was earlier this week and she also warned against using the term “ile oko” (husband’s house). Everyone is setting their house rules and removing the bs one act at a time. Looking forward to subversive “no wedding” family members lol."

where is the Tozara?
Can he identify any good reason why he should be an extremist from the bible or Quran stand point of view?
Christianity EtcRe: The Problem With Being A Moderate Christian or Muslim. by paxonel(m):
Martinez19:
I believe the best thinkers think both in the long and short term while poor thinkers think only in the short term or irrationally. In the Christian and Muslim population, majority tend to be moderate and while being moderate might sound nice, it has a formidable negative effect. Being a moderate requires you to acknowledge the "nice" parts of the bible/quran while ignoring other "nasty" parts and this requires ignorance or hypocrisy because a moderate is either unaware of these "nasty" parts OR is aware of them but chooses to live in denial. Being a moderate is not all right because moderates unknowingly act as a preservation and cover of religious fundamentalism. I shall explain

Truth is if you read the bible/quran and you believe it, take it "as it is" and you do what it demands of you, you would be what people and moderates call a fundamentalist or lunatic and being a Christian or Muslim fundamentalist is harmful to yourself and people around you. Now, as long as christianity and Islam "exists" and there are people reading the bible/quran, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A SET OF THESE PEOPLE THAT TAKE THE BIBLE AS "IT IS", BELIEVE IN IT AND ARE WILLING TO DO WHAT THE BIBLE/QURAN DEMANDS OF THEM. This means trouble for the society and the cause and source of this trouble is Christianity/Islam, which are the root of the problem. The moderates, because they are the majority, lead non-belivers to see moderates as the ideal representatives of what their religion entails and how it should be practiced and because moderates form the majority, non-belivers buy into this misconception and label the fundamentalists as lunatic or those who have misinterpreted or misunderstood.

The non-belivers won't bother reading the bible/quran and would be unaware of the extent of Islam and Christianity's harmfulness because they look at the moderate majority. The non-belivers will see no need to reform or ban Christianity/Islam because they see moderates(who appear peaceful) as the ideal representatives of their religion and what it requires from a human. This is because if the majority of a religion are peaceful then the religion won't be seen as the problem by non-belivers, especially if they are ignorant of what the holy books say. So as long as there are moderates, the root of the problem won't be addressed and eradicated ie. a lot of people would be unaware of the fact that christianity/islam is meant to yield fundamentalism rather they would see fundamentalism as a malfunction of the brains of the fundamentalist minority and try to deal with this minority but as long as the root of the problem exists, there would be fundamentalists as not all brainwashed religiotards would be ignorant and hypocritical of what their Holy book says.

So you see, moderates are a problem. They provide a cover for the cause of fundamentalism(The root of the problem), preserve fundamentalism and give the impression that they are the ideal representative of their religion and what it demands. Non-belivers would erroneously judge religion as harmless and peaceful because the moderate majority are peaceful and get on fine. Also, dangerous Islamic terrorist can camouflage themselves as moderates to protect themselves while they commit atrocities behind closed doors. The problem I have with moderates is that, unlike the fundamentalists, they are not after what their holy book says, they are all about convenience that's why they are full of metaphoric and allegorical interpretations and extra doctrines(eg. God help those who help themselves, god only looks at the heart, all religions are ways to the same god) they added to create convenience as they practice their religion.

... to be continued

op, there is no scripture in the bible that makes any christian a troublesome fundermentalist or do you have any?

This shows that extremists are always very wrong, because they don't know their bible or Quran as the case may be.

As for being moderate or not being moderate in christianity, you don't need to read all the bible and know everything for you to be a christian .

Just believe in christ and love your neighbour that's all.

Whether you end up becoming a non moderate extremist fundermentalist or not, God is not interested in all that, you are on your own.

Just believe in christ that's all.

Fast forward to Sunday Afternoon we chatted and she said she was a bit bored so I invited her over. I picked her up half way at Opebi and we drove to my crib after a brief stop over at Chicken republic for takeaway entertainment.

We got to the crib and after eating and while watching DSTV i made a move and she said it was early but was moaning and we bleeped two rounds, then I dropped her off at Ikeja with some little transport money 2k. I never asked her out or told her i needed a GF.

To pass exams you would be told not just to pray but study hard.

You have a medical situation, you are adviced to go to the hospital not just pray.

To be successful in business or career you dont just pray, you work.

Interestingly, those who are hard working, smart and focused would succeed even without praying, but someone who only prays but does not work would never succeed.

Why is this?
it's because
Works=prayer
Which means, if you don't work then you have not prayed no matter how long you prayed and speak in tongues.
But if you work, even if you don't pray at all you will get answers to prayer instantly.

There is nothing like backing your work with prayer, just work you have prayed like that.
But again, working(praying) implies that you must know exactly what you are doing to achieve results. That means, you must learn first (by going to a good school).

In summary, there is no way you can separate work from prayer.

One of the pastors tried to intervene and give an excuse for him. I said ‘No, Emmanuel, I say you are gone’. Suddenly Emmanuel started crying, ‘yes sir, it’s true, I met some friends and even started drinking’.

Just three weeks out of Church and he had gone astray. Praise God, Today he is a pastor in this Commission.

SUCCESSION CRISIS AND THE FOUNDING OF THE PRESENT
EWEKA DYNASTY IN BENIN

it is now necessary to narrate the events that led to the
request for a king from Ile-Ife and the founding of the present
dynasty in Benin. The seeming complacence of Oliha and Edion Uzama
during Owodo's misrule seem to have worked against them after the
banishment of Owodo. None of them was called upon to rule over the
people. Rather the people of Ile chose one of their community
leaders Evian. He was appointed as an administrator about 1091.
Evian's rule was peaceful, but he had his own ambition to perpetuate
his family in office. In short, he wanted to establish his own
dynasty. When he became old, his administration started to weaken
and problems started to develop. The people then started agitating
for a new rule. During this period, too, the Oliha during Owodo's
misrule died and he was succeeded by his young son. Evian took
advantage of his situation to nominate his eldest son Ogiemwen and
proceeded to enthrone him. The people of Ile led by the young Oliha
did not accept this arrangement. Moreover, they were aware that
Ekaladerhan the rightful heir was still alive and ruling in Ile-Ife.
The Oliha and the other four members of the Edion Uzama decided to
go to Ekaladerhan Imadoduwa the Ooni of Ife to beg him to return to
Ile to assume his throne in 1153. The Ooni received them, but he was
not happy with them. After the preliminary quarrels, the Ooni told
them that he was not prepared to return to Ile for two reasons namely
that his new kingdom Ile-Ife was too big to be abandoned and that he
had become too old to embark on such a journey. In addition he was
still bitter and had not forgotten about the way the former Oliha had
neglected and abandoned him. But due to the persistent pleading of
the delegation, the Ooni agreed to help them on the condition , they
underwent some tests. They agreed. He gave them some lice to take
home and return with them back to Ile-Ife after three years. Three
years later about 1150, the Oliha and his team returned to Ile-Ife
with the lice. The Ooni was happy with them for having been able to
take care of insects as small as lice. He then concluded that since
they have been able to take care of lice, they would be able to take
care of his son. The Ooni called his eldest son Prince Aigbovo
(alias Omonoyan who had been appointed as successor to the Ooni) to
follow them to Ile to establish an administration. Prince Aigbovo
Omonoyan obeyed his father's instructions and left Ile-Ife with some
allies among whom was the Oloton who was made the sixth member of the
Edion Uzama about 1100 A.D. he stayed in a palace built for him at
Usama and became friendly with Erinmwinde the beautiful daughter of
the Enogie of Egor. She soon became pregnant. But he did not seem
to be receiving full cooperation from the people of Ile after two
years of staying in Usama. It was because of this that he started
calling the town Ile-Ibinu. He abdicated about 1163 A.D. and left
some of his allies to look after his son. He instructed the people
to enthrone his son as the next Oba, before he left for Ile-Ife.
From there Omonoyan proceeded to Oyo where he had another son Oranyan
who later became the Alafin of Oyo. Omonoyan returned to Ile-Ife
about 1167 and succeeded his father as the second Ooni of Ile-Ife.
The instructions he left behind that his child from Erinmwinde should
be enthroned as the king of Oba of Benin was adhered to. This child
was male and was crowned Oba Eweka I. He founded the present
dynasty. What happened was not really the founding of a new dynasty
as such. It was rather the reestablishment of the dynastic line
started by the Theban Prince Ogiso Igodo.

Do you see now that the benin dynasty originated from ife?

Meaning, it is a system of belief which includes believing in anything.

Even till today, there are people who still carve objects like sticks in their backyards believing that the sticks can protect them.
