OP Reading through your posts, Now you got to realise that threats/lies will never work. Marriage is not forced. Her not hearing God may be as result of guilt eating her conscience esp if she was a serious christian that engaged in premarital sex. She only needs to make the prayer of David and God will restore her. Good thing is you still love her after all that. However her not yielding has got nothing to do with God.That I can assure you. She's either confused or talking to people that are advising her otherwise. Considering her age,Have you talked to her about her career and goals or you assume just cz you got an 8 digit figure she will automatically forsake everything and get married early and young ? some ladies are not moved by income because all that can go in a flash. What are her dreams/goals besides marriage? They could be an obstacle too. She may want to secure her future and not be dependent on you. Another thing poster is this. This is just a one sided story.Apart from your tentative age and 8 digit figure we know nothing about your behaviour/personality.She will no tell you direct so as not to hurt your feelings but check that area out. If you truly love that girl as you claim and you are in your late twenties then it wouldn't hurt to give her a year or two to allow her sort out her life.If not then set her free and let her know that you cannot wait any longer. Be careful not to pressure her into saying yes.You may live to curse the day she did so. A man can get away with age so stop worrying because you are not even 30! A good thing at the wrong time could end up being a curse and headache.Do not even marry because of the time/money/emotions you invested into a relationship.Marry for the right reason and season Hearts do get broken and people move on. Good luck |

Finally did it! ![]() If theres one button I have never bothered with, its that 'insert image' one. See that's ugali but its not made from yam/cassava.That is cornflour. We like mixing different exotic veges making it more nutritious and delicious as well. Any kind of meat can go with that ugali. Then kachumbari acts to spice it all up. |
Tets 123.Lemmie c if I can upload ugali lol! |
And to Nayah And you know what Nayah, the swahilis love eating biriani using their hands. I dont know if it makes the food more tastier but you can eat using the forks spoons and the rest. |

This link contains the best pic of biriani. The first pic on the page ie. See if you can upload this. That one up there must have been prepared by a student. ![]() http://www.google.co.ke/search?q=biryani+def&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#pq=biryani%20def&hl=en&cp=6&gs_id=q&xhr=t&q=biryani&pf=p&sclient=psy&client=firefox-a&hs=pgP&rls=org.mozilla:en-US%3Aofficial&source=hp&pbx=1&oq=biryan&aq=0&aqi=g5&aql=&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&fp=4246f7dc13410bc6&biw=1252&bih=573 |
Now Kenya and Safari is one thing lol I do not even know where to begin in describing the nation as far as tourism is concerned. Its a whole package From the Masai Mara to Serengeti bordering Tz,The coastal beaches, the snowcapped Mt,Kenya, the flamingoes of L.Naivasha, the hot springs of lake Bogoria, the menengai crater, theres just lots and lots to see. I cannot even finish describing in a day. Each region is blessed with is own touristic features and that makes the country one big tourist destination. Argh now I miss a safari. You have never been to Kenya if you have not visited the mara lol! |
OK whatever happened to the attachements! unable to upload the pics of the dishes .I give up.Nway am sure u get the pic |
@Nayah.It is world lol. You mentioned about diversity so its the same thing here. Its not easy to pick out a 'national meal' because a favorite meal depends on the tribe you associate with. But I picked out 3 that cut across all tribes. 1. Ugali.Just like fufu only difference being that ugali is made out of cornflour and not yam/cassava. Its accompanied by assorted veges and different variety of meat preferably fish. A good ugali meal is complete with kachumbari-( a mixture of chopped onions and tomatoes in lemon dressing prepared ahead of time and kept in the cold.It could also include cabbage, chile peppers, and other vegetables of your choice) 2. Chapati. Its flatbread like the indian roti.chapati is,flat round and brown.Chapatis are normally used to accompany stews and vegetables. 3.Biryani/pilau: Its a dish containing meat, fish, or vegetables and rice flavored with saffron or turmeric. 4. Mishkaki/shish kebab: small succulent morsels of marinated beef on the bbq. Well when you come here ask for chapati/biryani or pilau oh and mishkaki. Ugali is cool but am not a fan. If I go tribe by tribe you will be amazed.I mean they have got very cool tasty meals. Some take forever to prepare ![]() Most of our meals have some coastal/swahili touch and a meal cooked by a swahili woman will leave you yearning for more. You know what am talking about of course ![]() |
@nayah! yummy yummy yummy Good heavens the meal looks sooo appetising.my salivary glands ache now. When I come over to cameroon am so asking for the ndole thing. I will print and carry this so as to be very sure its the thing. And yeah the woriahs have their dishes.Top on the list is khat.Eaten straight from source. JB well you know sending them 'these kind' of ingredients would not help them. They eat rice ,spaghetti and meat day in day out. Khat for dessert. so emergency fund it is. |
we got some starving bros in somali. wish i could ship over that menu. |
Awsome.you made me salivate reading through that menu. |
wow thats a cool name u got there. pendo is swahili for love. ![]() what is cameroonian's fav dish? now that i see you heading to the kitchen? ![]() |
Pendo sis not Penda. ![]() intro. pendo = love penda = To love. panda=To climb, plant or the bear! mmmh well I guess it will figure itself out as we progress? I can't place my finger on any particular one. Got my head full though. |
cool sis, ope your good.So whats breaking today? |
hi nayah.how are you? |
I enjoy watching that 'WELCOME' signature only. ![]() |
Arrgh not again. Foolishness. ![]() 'waiting unsuccesfully to hear from God for 2 yrs' Why not let her be? Cz by the time she hears she will be approaching menopause while you will be having 3 kids of your own plus a lovely wife. |
![]() dude you just crack me up.lol you are a character and a half. R u not the one that was apologising for calling people names or something like that? keep up nway. you liven things ![]() Though I do not really understand what God and 'first love' have in common ![]() Just try not to throw His name everywhere and anyhow to drive your point home. Plus, if you LOVE Him you would not go around calling people demons you know. |
MMH! Alcoholism is passed through the genes? I do not believe that. Its a habit and lifestyle which if not stopped becomes an addiction. Habits are learned are they not? Whatever the case,if we were to treat/handle people based on their lineage and backgrounds then we would never appreciate anybody's achievements because most of the people that make it in life come from sorry backgrounds. They just purpose to work hard and turn out better than those who bore them. so kudos to him. |
@pleep Somalia and parts of northern Kenya. But somalia is the worst hit. They are now trekking into kenya from the north and adding to the already starving numbers in the North.Northern Kenya is always a dry place so whenever rains fail it only worsens the prevailing situation. @ekt_bear. Funny.Because the EA also ask,can anything good come from the west? Blame it on media. What we see on tv is far different from reality.Everytime they show Nigeria on TV all we see are are pictures of burnings, killings, looting, poor infrastructure, congestion, drug trafficking etc. You would think its impossible to drive on lagos streets because of the congestion and poor infrastructure. But is that what is happening on the ground? Its soo negative to the extent that the rest of Africa is wary of our bros from the west why? because they depict them as fraudsters and drug traffickers.Too much negativity it sucks! But they do not mention about the oil or economy. If oil is ever mentioned it will be tagged with the word corruption, bombings and kidnappings. They make us believe that all pastors from nigeria are conmen so anybody landing in the name of God is suspect. I wish I could hear some positive news about Nigeria from the media. Now EA is not just somalia or sudan and its not only full of malnourished and starving women and kids. Kenya,Tanzania and Uganda Burundi have stable goverments. We know that every African country faces its own challenges but the media exaggerates a lot and focuses on that problems more than progress. The strongest economy in EA is Kenya.Strong currency as compared to the rest even though fluctuations are inevitable. Kenya is a country on its own and a busy regional hub with multinationals setting up base because of better transport (air land and sea),good communication, plus at least good infrastructure It tends to always play a central role in conflict resolution among its neighbours. Foreign Aid to EA and some landlocked countries, pass through Kenya. Its the reason all these UN bodies set up regional offices here as well.Theres is just a lot happening that you don't get to read about or see in the news. CNN will make you think that Africa is not progressing because they will never report about the new found oil deposits in Uganda and how everyone is rushing there to make a kill, but will be quick to show pics of political mass protests. Anything concerning Sudan is also negative. They will only report about the supporter of APC militia and show you pics of malnourished children. If you went to Abiyei in southern sudan you will see whole new picture. Businesses are springing up,roads being done, oil is flowing, they just announced their new currency, they are just busy building their nation but wheres the western media to report all this progress? Wait till they hear about a war. They don't believe anything good can come out out of Africa of course so why should they report anything positive? All I can say is that its time Africans learnt to take matters into their own hands, appreciate themselves and build their economies. The West,Central,East, South and North all need one another. Its our continent after all. |
I see absolutely nothing wrong with marrying outside your culture. Love knows no borders. |
