I need to be reading nl with a notebook by the side. At times I just enjoy the flow. There's only one white on this thread. ![]() |
@ tpia It must have been a pride of lions.Unless they were calves or a pride,I dont think the 30 happend at a go. Intervals maybe. One lion alone can't take down a animal by itself, unless the prey is a small animal such as zebra and wildebeest. But a pride (group) of lions can take down a much larger animal such as buffalo, giraffe, and even small, baby elephants! A pride of lions usually kill one of the larger animals, which would be enough for the pride. Sometimes, and rarely, the massive lions will take down two animals. They can eat the extra carcass, or they can save the extra for the later days. Read more: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_animals_does_a_lion_kill_in_a_day#ixzz1n6Wfweie Now this I extracted from one of our local dailies even though it happened some time back. Tuesday two lions strayed into Nkamuriaki village(masai land) and killed seven donkeys, two cows and nine goats. Following the attack, some 150 morans went in search of the stray lions. Armed with spears, bows and arrows, they killed two and a third lion escaped into Nairobi National Park. .I wouldn't be caught among the group of 150.I wld rather stay without a wife! |
i guess we are on different time zones. |
lol Tpia, I have seen that clip before and its as real as it gets. Each masai moran fyi must kill a lion as part of initiation into adulthood!! Its culture and a must or else you dont graduate into a moran which means u dont get a wife from the community. Trust me those guys compete with lions for grazing land and a lion wold rather face a cow than a masai. They know them very well. But if you dare go there as tpia and try acting masai ul be ripped in seconds.Theres a look on their face and some bravery that scares the poo out of lions. Did somebody say arrggh ? when a lion's roar makes a gazelle fall? If it roars you get seizures!! and heart attack,no time to pick sand! |
what? meaning lagos has never heard 24hour supply?? with all that oil? am shocked cz i wonder how a big city survives on generators 24/7. |
Be the woman God expects you to be and play the role He expects you to play. He didn't make you to please the society but to impact it just the way you are. Women who stress themselves like ur friend are those trying too hard to please the society and feel accepted. They keep changing to conform and fit but they fail to realise that by the time they have conformed, the society's standards have changed. Truth is they will NEVER please the masses, no matter how much they try to conform bcz we all fall short and what is pleasing to another's eye is distasteful in another's. Women/Men need to understand that there will always be greater looking people out there and so trying to be like them is vain cz the cycle will never end. Finally if you find a man who is satisfied with you and what you do, then I see no need for stress. Others opinion cease to matter cz the person you share your life with accepts and loves you just as you are which is the best feeling anyway. |
Wow! nl scares me at times. Thank God its just online. |
![]() i wish he was 50!! |
it depends on the sender. some no matter how good must be returned to sender as fast as possible. |
who's black,who's white |
^^ say that again?? if a woman sets her mind to woo(woe ) a guy, nothing will stop her. you need to meet some and you will run for dear life if u fear getting wooed/wood ![]() |
^^ And what is that family's basic need?? |
And Finally, 4teelaw, when u visited the zoo and was told you shouldn't run when you see a Lion within range, Yes it's true. DO NOT RUN because a Lion instinctively sees you as prey because you will be showing the lion your back (your back neck especially). You also can't outrun a lion, Stare and make a sudden noise instead and you might have a chance.
try this and see urself getting ripped in broad daylight. At the moment of danger the body freezes or takes off in flight. I think it's better to be eaten while trying to escape than standing. wow! have u seen the head of a wild lion lol @Boko lion. The only thing lions fear is masai. Send one there to finish them off. |
oh boy what a thread. nice web pic charly. looks great Now thing is this,I try as much as possible to avoid knowing people beyond their posts here because there are multiple personalities. Kiss using one handle and bash using another. I have said it and I repeat,do not take offense when people you dont know challenge you positevely or negatively cz its a waste of precious time. Whether you are nigerian, american, white british or chinese really doesnt matter. If one brings their private lives on public forum then they, must be prepared for what comes I guess,no need to get irked really. See,what caught my attention was ur great knowledge of nigerian culture and that is what I have been trying to understand.I would have thrown the same questions if u were an ethiopian, hindu or pakistani Now tell these young people here like lefulefu who like bashing and embarrasing their fellow nigerian women on this forum that its rare to hear the white fellow criticise their women on a public forum. If u were a black woman on a white forum you would have received a couple of racist remarks just by opening this thread. You know this forum has made me understand that nigerian men harbour deep hatred for their fellow black 9ja women. I am sure you have read a million threads on that, seeing its not ur first time on nl and I wonder what ur thoughts are.Do u believe the average 9ija woman has failed their man? cz that is what these guys are trying hard to make the whole world believe through NL threads. You know we can have a clean discussion on this without insults but some people are too immature, so let it be. Enjoy ur life charly. You got a great family so just have fun and move on. |
kunmibola:This is the one question all virgins that get burnt ask. Stop carrying too much guilt guy cz the girl will come around!! Jeez the stress of disvirgining somebody! ![]() Your girl is going through a phase of guilt and anger cz she idolises virginity just like many girls do since its a pre requisite to marriage. (there) But reality has hit her! ITS GONE kaput! she will never be a virgin again and if you don't end up as her hubby she has trouble wondering what she's gonna tell the guy that will end up marrying her ie if he cherishes a virgin. Please when she calls show her some love.Tell her you didn't plan to do so but she was just irresistable!! praise her a bit so she stops feeling 'taken advantage of'' I wish u could tell her that you enjoyed it and you don't mind doing it again if she permits you to. That also means its not the end of the relationship.Shes probably worried that you are going to drop her now that you have gone all the way and there's nothing new to explore. No mystery awaits! Look here dude ,she's picking ur call that is a good sign.Let her release her anger on u.It's ok and for a while. Keep uttering I love you all the time she wishes you dead and don't waste too much time explaining why and talking like you regret cz it only worsens the situation. She is a woman now not just a girl so let her know you are proud of introducing her to womanhood. The poor girl is fighting her own demons.Give her time! You know you are both annoying in this sense. You played with something u knew was dangerous and ignored the warning signs. So lets say it's a good lesson to those virgins who keep playing with that weapon of mass destruction and crying foul later. |
aha! Chalrly my 2 cent advise to you. I saw u changed ur pic and your message too. Different hair/pose now, lovely. You know if I were u ,married with a lovely kid,5 months pregnant and cooking those conc, serious and time consuming nigerian dishes,I would not even have the strength to trade insults or get offended by people online. Your hands must be too full right now. Then don't try too hard to prove a point. It ends up becoming suspicious. Your private life at times is not for public consumption cz not everybody appreciates the good the bad and the ugly.Gd nite. |
ok i actually meant 'physically' ![]() |
My last posting here. charlyjayden:Yep you are right. you are an 'oyibo so freakin what?'am just quoting ur profile. When I say u sound nigerian charly dear we begin there. ![]() Is that ur pic? beautiful I must say. charlyjayden:That too sounds soo nairalandish by a fully bloodied nigerian. ![]() But hey who cares. Cheer up. You are a nigerian (through assimilation) which is a good thing. |
charlyjayden:Aha . I now understand better. I must say you are a fast learner.commendable. People really need to break racial barriers and share love with the rest of the world. |
I want to ask a silly question now. I read a post up there >somebody complaining that hes tired of his wife's english cooking. ![]() You seem soo good in nigerian dishes yet I know from what I always read they are kinda streneous to cook and require lots of pounding, preparation and recipes etc. Plus I know the fast life where everything is timed and dishes done in a hurry. Do u easily find these recipes where you are? cz it seems as though you cook and eat nigerian dishes every single day. |
charlyjayden:hahah ok tell u what? u speak more like a nigerian. You have properly assimilated the culture. |
charlyjayden:Wow cool. If you are 28 now its seems u got exposed to the nigerian culture at around 14. assuming ur mum's hubby isnt ur real dad. So yeah its possible to know the language/culture. charlyjayden:I know people esp family are always suspicious of 'outsiders'.Its cz they love you. But u know that shouldn't have been a problem considering ur dad is nigerian. mmh cool |
lol I like asking questions charly just to understand people better. So what challenges did u face at first? dd u guys meet abroad or online? |
Thats cool. No wonder you know so much nigerian stuff. Am sorry am not nigerian, am just amazed at ur knowledge of the culture. Food and language you seem to know better than the locals themselves. Been to nigeria before ![]() |
