I will be voting for LP but if PDP wins then no problem

Someone must be taught a painful lesson

You helped destroy your fellow southerner government because you want to play national politics and paraventure become a president

Buhari and northerners will definitely teach him a painful lesson hope he survives it

Greed and betrayer works hand in hand
Thank you for this.

I keep reiterating it that for betraying the entire south in 2015, Tinubu will never reap the fruit of that betrayal except there’s no God of justice.

Tinubu is finished. A man despised by the northerners and rejected by the southerners he sold out in 2015. Rejected by Muslims despite Mu-Mu tickets and rejected by Christians as a corrupt entity.

Tinubu is FINISHED.

Imagine how this man gave himself away for Buhari by showing the world he was buying votes for no less a personality than Buhari in 2019. The same Buhari has moved to cut him to size. I keep saying Yoruba are making a fool of the south believing they are playing suffersticated politics. Instead of these people to have backed Jonathan to complete his term and we all have a United south that can demand for equity, greed, avarice and selfishness rolled in one could not let them. Let's see who would vote Tinubu even if he share all the loot he stole from Lagos State.

Baba has seen the reality on ground…

That the easiest way for him to lose his governorship election is to print his posters and put Tinubu on them, or to go to his campaign grounds and preach Tinubu.

That’s why baba simply forgot that somebody like Tinubu exists.

Besides, I will always try to make understand that you should not equate the support for local candidates to mean support for Tinubu.

Politics › Re: Simplest Way To Know The "Obidients" Are Actually The Majority In Nigeria Today by Penguin2: 8:39am On Jan 29, 2023
LocalStandard1:
When the withdrawal limit was pecked at N20,000 a day and N100,000 a week, notice what happened. There was uproar, from all angles of the country. I wrote about it multiple times, venting frustration out through the roof. Many of us gave reasons it can't and shouldn't work.

The Government since increased the withdrawal limit. It has also increased the PVC collection date twice.

But they continue to refuse to extend the deadline for the collation of the old Naira notes.

What has changed? I mean, the Government can increase the limit by 2 weeks and it won't interfere with the elections. Then why haven't they, really?!

Cos the majority are either quite about it or are actually even celebrating the policy. The majority that should vent anger and cry about it online and off are either indifferent or in support of it, for once.

This is probably the most people affected yet people approved policy by the Buhari administration, and he knows it very well. That's why not even the house of reps, the Senate, the coalition of governors, the Bank managers, the opposition together with Tinubu, even the cabals can make him change his mind so far.

Don't get me wrong, I am so affected I can't even buy bread. Don't get me wrong, the policy is highly injurious to the nation, and soon like India, Nigeria will realize that reality.

But I feel Buhari envies Goodluck Jonathan's live from his transition of power to current, and how much respect he gets now from Nigerians and internationally. When GoodLuck says "my ambition is not worth the live of any Nigerian", Buhari is trying to say in his last months as President, "every Nigerian is free to vote any candidate of their choice, no intimidation, no monetary inducement, just free, fair, credible elections". He want to leave the way he came, but better.

Buhari might leave office a celebrity of democracy, I think!!
You are right!

To think that I now like Buhari is enough to know that Buhari is on his way to immortality in the hearts of Nigerians.

And just imagine if Obi wins this election, Buhari will forever be in our hearts.

I pray he doesn’t bulge to the noise of Tinubu and his urchins.

Politics › Re: BREAKING! Senate Extends Collection Of Old Notes To June! by Penguin2: 7:07am On Jan 29, 2023
MizCharm:
A few hours ago, the members of the nigerian senate sat and passed a resolution to extend the collection of old naira notes by the Central Bank. The end date for the collection of old naira notes by banks had originally been set for the 31st of January 2023. But as the deadline draws near, the new naira notes seem not readily available, even as politicians are busy trying all they can to get access to large amounts of the new notes for election rigging purposes.
Atiku, the presidential candidate for the PDP has also come out with an emotional appeal to the Cental Bank governor to extend the deadline, citing the concern for suffering nigerians as a reason. It is of note that his VP, Okowa had earlier today recieved the go ahead from the delta state house of assembly to borrow trillions of naira, even while currently indebted and owing civil servants in the state.

It remains to be seen whether this resolution by the senate will sway the CBN governor, Emefiele and his boss, Buhari into doing what the politicians want.

#NewsbyMizCharm
First of, the senate has gone on recess since Thursday or thereabouts.

Second, the senate has no powers or whatsoever, to extend any deadline set by the CBN.

Stop misinforming the public.

Heffalump:
Justice was not served in Osun. If you say there was over voting in some polling units, then cancel all the votes in those units so that nobody benefits from the illegal votes, since you can't categorically tell which candidates have the over voting scenario from record. The manner in which the vote deductions were applied shows clearly that the tribunal was very biased, and were looking for any avenue to reduce Adeleke's votes.

Suffice to say that, if x number of votes from the problematic polling units are canceled, then deduct x votes from each candidates already earned votes. But doing so will ensure that Adeleke will maintain the lead, so the tribunal introduced reversed mathematics to give Oyetola victory. All of them are Mad!
This judgment is dead on arrival.
Thank you!

Ejimatic this is the answer to your last question.

There’s no need typing an answer to you since someone already summarized it for me.

. In Aregbesola vrs Oyinlola. 2011 votes in entire 10 local governments were cancelled. Votes cancelled across ten local governments not eniter the local governments. The law supports cancellation of votes if there are overvoting and non compliance of electoral laws. Neither of the two judgements is in support of rerun because there is no provision for that in the law. Elections to place in the contested poling units but irregularities were there.Cancellation is in order
That the law supports cancellation of votes if over voting is established is not in contention but I still maintain that what happened in Osun is rape of justice.

You were referring to Sub-section 3, that there won't be any return, until the election in such cancelled Polling-units were re-conducted..

However,, consider the Sub-section 4...
Where it says that, if the cancelled Polling-units are not going to affect the over-all results of the election, then a winner would be announced.

So..
We are assuming that they considered the 4th Sub-section too, and it was satisfied.
So you agree that the votes from over 700 polling units do not significantly affect an election and that subsection 4 is satisfied?

INEC shirked in its responsibility to cancel votes cast where accreditation was compromised. The Tribunal is empowered by the law to handle cases relating to the election and decide on the matters. Cancellation is in the constitution on the controversial poling units The TB followed what is in the constitution as long as cancellation took place where there were cases of overvoting as presented and argued by the petitioner!TB acted on behalf of INEC as enshrined in the constitution.
Agreed that TB acted on behalf of INEC but after cancellation of votes from over 700 polling units, do you think the provision of subsection 4 was met?

Are 700 polling units so small and insignificant that a winner can be declared without votes from there?

. The TB reserves the right to adjudicate on an election matter, cancel result. and return winner on behalf of INEC especially where there is no possiblity of rerun after manipulated results have been cancelled.
What we are trying to find out is where the Tribunal derived the power to cancel votes in over 700 polling units without ordering a rerun but going ahead to declare a winner with the exclusion of votes from over 700 polling units.

Is that justice?

See, the Tribunal Chairman based his evidence on the BVAS report which is a secomdary evidence rather than the primary evidence, the machine itself.

What about the voter's register.... Useless to Justice Kume.

One of two things will happen at the Appeal Court, either it is upturned or a retrial will be ordered but since there is no time, it should be upturned.

It is funny....just take a look at the majority judgement and tell me you wouldn't laugh.
When I saw the “Go lo lo lo” and “Buga won” references, it dawned on me that the judgment was written and given to Justice Kume to read.

I cannot, and will never believe, that a Judge who is from Benue and does not understand Yoruba, will be making reference to a Yoruba line in a song in the most trivial of manners for a case as serious as the mandate of the generality of Osun people.

I’m ashamed that something like this can still happen now, when we thought our judiciary was beginning to get things right.

I’m no longer surprised how Akpabio and APC governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom got their judgments.
