I hope we are not expecting to power this sector with generators. Mining, Automobile, Dairy/Agriculture all require adequate power supply to attract the needed capital funding both local and abroad. If we dont get his basics right, we will not be able to compete favourably. It is not magic, just common sense from the 19th century. Me i am tired of screaming. |
Wuzyurdaddy:You will do yourself a lot of good if you do some serious deep thinking before you rush to comment with some foul language that you aint proud of either. |
Wuzyurdaddy:And the fear of god is you lying to your conscience? God did not create man so that they can fear him, rather to have a open conscience and be able to approach him. |
And the industry will be powered by generators. Why do i have the feeling that Nigeria is someone's final year project. |
Why do i keep having this feeling that Nigeria could be somebody's final year project. |
They cannot go like that. They have to pay VAT on their profit. |
bidex111:Clearly an ambush. The BHTs that carried out this attack are clearly the sort of SF arm of the group and not the ragtag remnants searching for food in abandoned villages. Left to me, i would assume that BH/ISWAP had prior knowledge of troop movement or perhaps they have improved their intelligence gathering capability. |
2 trillion naira industry that employs less than 10,000 people. That is sad |
Another scam in the making. There are hundreds of Adam Quinn doing illegitimate business with the Nigerian government. These guys are out to teach us a lesson about government to government scam. Brexit is around the corner and a soft landing for that crookish former colonial master is to rob its former colonies through the use of its court. The british know when and how best to cash out on a nation that thrives on corruption and scam. We are a nation/entity that never learns and rips where it never sew. Let's just sit back and enjoy paying the fine if we cant get a better deal. We are a nation that thrives in adverse conditions. $9.6 billion will not tear the country to shreds. What will is the hundred of criminals that perpetuate their selves in power. They are the real scam. Lesson learnt. It is time to move on. |
let us exchange looters. SA looters this way and the naija looters go the other way. |
When Brexit finally takes shape, britain will be very interesting. |
Debramaye:You mean cancer of the mind? |
There are many questions yet to be answered as far as telecom infrastructure upgrade and usage in nigeria is concerned. How many Nigerians carry around 4G enabled phones in order to maximize the 4G potentials not to talk of 5G? What is the rate of 4G nation wide roll-out as at 2019? What is the rate of spectrum refarm like in nigeria for 3G and 4G compared to other african countries? While many countries have upgraded their 800/900/1800 MHZ bands, we have rarely upgraded these bands for LTE optimization. Will the ubiquitous nature of the 5G infrastructure go down well with our local regulators? Once more the bandwagon syndrome has set in as usual and our administrators have started their journey to fantasy land instead of concentrating on getting the best out of what we have at the moment. The reason why the world set out to upgrade to 5G is because there is a need for it. Is there an immediate need for 5G in Nigeria? Let us have a report on 4G usage before we start the 5G "long throat" journey. |
QuietMynd:A quadcopter drone with IR sensors observing from safe altitude above enemy position could help to effectively co-ordinate these fires. All the same, the men on the front seem to be holding their ground. |
BH attrition in Adamawa and Yobe seems to have dipped in recent times and focus seems to have fully shifted to Bornu. This must be ISWAP strategy. If so, then the military should be able to exploit this and attack from these flanks. That way, ISWAP will be forced to commit men and resources in more fronts in the NE. I doubt if it will be able to sustain such for long. Except if of course, the case is that ISWAP can hold its own in these other axis against the military |
OlawaleSmarter0:Op, you are shameless. So you had to go tribal with your post. You should know better. Any vehicle design from Innoson or Proforce is first nigerian before any tribe. If you want to produce vehicle for only your tribe, then i suggest you take it outside the country and let us see how far it would fare. Irritating! |
This is why IP Based security systems are a far better option. Try and see if you can connect a NAS (Network Attach Storage) and the CCTV DVR on a single network. Then try transfer footages via the network. Hope this works. Just ensure your video archive is still in tact and retrievable. |
He is probably the first to do so. I salute his courage. From my heart, he is forgiven. The victim should also reciprocate. |
Youngest Senator. Rubbish. Democracy is a scam as far as africa is concerned |
SmallmebigGod:Non. Land in some part of lagos is not worth it.What you are actually paying for is the fact that you have crossed the Lagos-Ibadan Express way into lagos proximity. |
An autopsy and DNA test will reveal the truth |
ORIJIN201:You would be amazed how underserved lagos, with its relatively better earning power is, when you scale with other west african cities. There is a need in major cities in nigeria but telcos would rather not invest ( i agree that, sometimes the regulatory but isnt doing enough). A for the bolded, there is a need for broadband penetration in order to help lift people out of poverty, the excuse that rural ares cannot afford them is a worse form of discrimination. Wwatch how they would rush for 5G when 4G is currently poorly deployed. |
Trump is only trying to consolidate America's hold on the social media arm of the internet knowing fully well that huawei has the mobile equipment arm locked down, at least for now. As for this new OS, huawei mobile should just kiss its market share goodbye. Their greatest undoing is its government's unwillingness to open its social media space to the rest of the world. The Americans knew this day will come when the chinese will dare into the muddy waters of tech domination. Whoever controls the internet (social media now) and the infrastructure that enables it, controls the world. It is just the beginning... |
ORIJIN201:You shouldn't blame nigerians for totally condemning the 4G browsing experience they are getting from the telcos. 4G has a metric requirement of been broadband( which explains why the 2.6 GHZ spectrum was auctioned by NCC to carriers at huge price) and IP based architecture. The telcos have invested in purchasing license but have refused to invest seriously in the deployment on a nation wide scale (this in itself is the scam). If you would have to travel to some posh area of your city in order to fully enjoy the 4G experience on a regular basis, then what we have is a fixed broadband rather than a mobile broadband (4G). As for america, the country is too big and would require billions of dollars of investment to deploy on a nation scale, which explains why WiFi deployment is still a profitable investment and of course the availability of already existing fiber infrastructures to support deployment by smaller ISPs. Europe,(specifically Netherlands, Norway and Germany) and Asia (South Korea, China, Japan) enjoy the lead when it comes to 4G Mobile coverage on a global scale. As for Nigeria, NCC should raise the stakes and see to it that 4G is fully implemented on our spectrum. It is grossly under-utilized. A large number of Nigerians go about with 4G capable phones but browse at 3G speed. This is not good enough |
dadavivo:Manage the 3G for now. The real4G will enter the country in 2025. As for 5G, you can keep dreaming for now. |

Russian launched rocket hit by lightning. Rockets are very good examples of stored arched energy and prone to discharge when in contact with the ionosphere. https://twitter.com/i/status/1132993069106778113 |
Airport worth billions of naira cant make ambulance available. Emergency response in this country is very discouraging. In other climes, whoever is responsible for making that ambulance unavailable would have been fired by now. Of course, this is Nigeria, where everything is left for god to do. |
This is all democracy means to an average Northerner. To them, politics is not about development and been fair to all but taking al that belongs and doesn't belong to them. |
Ben is merely trying to wash his hands off the project after collecting kickbacks. How can you nominate a project and blatantly refuse to give your people update on the project, only to push the responsibility to the MDAs. Ben is his people enemy if that is the case |
