Ethic is broadly defined as an act that deals with any question concerning the nature of value in matters of human conducts. Therefore, ethic is vital in any society to achieving any set objective and goals and in this perspective, sanity and good governance. The same is true that every individual in any society must strive to have a good work ethic to keep the society functioning.

Societal ethics is no doubt, a set of moral character that deals with what is right or wrong and good or bad in matter of human conduct of every individual in whatever they do. Therefore, certain factors must come together to create a strong individual work ethic that transform into societal ethics of which the most prominent among these are as follows;-

1. Discipline;-In any society, it takes some level of commitment to conduct oneself and carry out individual responsibility on daily bases. Any individual with some level of discipline must stay focused with determination to complete his /her daily assigned task in every area of life. And the same is true that one must demonstrate some level of dedication and commitment in ensuring a high level of performance as an epitome of self-discipline that may transform into the wider society.

2. Integrity; - Integrity as a concept stretches to virtually every aspect of any individual’s task. Therefore, any individual with integrity strive to foster genuine relationship with everyone around. With a sense of integrity, there must be some level of trust among individuals and in relationship with others. It also implies putting up some level of high moral standard and trust without any questionable characters that may contaminate and spread from one community to the others and to the wider society at large.

3. Sense of Responsibility;-A strong sense of responsibility affects certain level of the society as well as community, the result of which is often very glaring depending of the outlook. When an individual feels responsible in family, community and at work, such individual, with the act of responsibility, no doubt, must positively reflect in the larger society. The same is true that when ethic of an individual is good it gradually affect the others and then to the community and of course, not with the best effort on performance in any given task without distraction. It is also true that education and the value system may be call into question in this regard.

4. Sense of patriotism;- Most individual must have to work together to meet up with any set objective for the benefit of the collective. Any individual with high sense of patriotism not only facilitate the set objective but also help to deliver high sense of quality of any given task. Teamwork is not just a collection of bunch of an individual with different agenda but with a complimentary skill committed to common purpose and mutually accountable for attaining a result in any given task that reflect a sense of belonging in a wider society.

5. Emphasis on Sanity; - Any individual with a strong ethical behavior must care about the sense of sanity of any given society. Love of oneself is not vanity but sanity. Often, there are some individual who only do the bare minimum, enough to keep their job intact. Contrary to this notion, individual must always put their best to have a sense of sanity that reflect the wider society, not merely doing what is just needed for its own sake.

But by putting some level of commitment that reflects to improve the wider society. With this demonstrated in our individual environment, it must gradually reflect in the life of others but not without the best effort and sense of patriotism that may reflect in the life of others.

Without the reality, no appearance world is going to be possible. The same is true that when you do not know who you are, it is difficult, if not impossible to address all those of others around you, appearing in your world. Therefore, the challenge remains how to redeem the supposed division or separation that exists.

The oneness is the very law of being. And language, no doubt remains dual in its mode of consciousness in defining the wholeness. In Eddy’s view, “knowledge of God-idea is gained through the opposite fact and phenomena” And in the paradox of language, is the appearance world called the human condition. In this human condition is the issue of security that begins with the very reflection of who and what is being threatened and the nature of such threat.

The appearance is a spiritual fact of being shown up as language appropriate in use from individual point of view. And every individual tends to live in a world in his /her own term, with the question of – if I am in danger, if I am failing or is the world in danger etc. But there is freedom only when what is feared turnout to be just a belief without substance or reality. But when it is just a mere belief, without substance the fears often tends to dissolves and dissipate or fade away.

In the dimension of reality is the disclosure of oneness and wholeness of mind/love/spirit. And it generates to sustain all that exist. It is the consideration of this spiritual fact of being that will enable one to call into question the very nature of who or what threaten and who or what is being threatened. Whatever the limitation we come to fear, will always present itself as a simulation of reality or belief-system in our human experience.

But any simulation of reality or belief-system, thought to exist, separate from the mind, the very generative source, will always manifest itself in the form of threat, instability and irresponsibility.

The same is true, when you confront belief with facts; you demonstrate the temporal nature of language as concept. But concept do not often bring satisfaction and fulfillment, simply because appearance is not capable of generating experience but serve only to measure the level of self-awareness.

As human being, we yearn for safety and security on daily bases.The same is true that we also yearn for freedom of thought, actions, integrity and trustworthiness in our relationship with our fellow human being.

These desirable qualities of life, no doubt, are often within the reach of every individual. This is true because every human being is endowed with the basic quality of life and we often intuitively expect them because they characterize the very reality of which is inherent in every individual.

But whenever we forget who we are, the result is often that we yield our individual autonomy to what appear to us and to what we see and feel around us. When we look at the mirror, we believe we are the image we see in the mirror.

But when we allow our human condition to get the better part of us, and inform us of who we are and what is going on, the result is that we are consenting a division between ourselves and the world of others. The same is true that what we allow to divide us, no doubt, conquer us.

Safety and Security are never an issue of oneness, but scientific metaphysics did teaches us that any conscious individual that live responsibly is ever practicing the act of oneness to discern the spiritual facts of everything that confront him. And knowing is the function of consciousness and we live in a world where we consciously exist and the world is never there as something separate from us.

Problems and their solution often began right where we live our conscious being. Nothing exists external to our consciousness. The same is true that when we live consciously, we become aware intuitively the-“doing unto others as we would like others to do unto us”.

The golden rule works because “oneness” is intuitively a constituent of being and it precede and embrace our daily living. In addition, when we live consciously and aware of who we are as a- ( being/mind/God-idea), we experience the simulation of reality of joy, power and peace.

The Performance Management is but a process that provide a –feedback, accountability and documentation for any performance outcome and objective. It help the employees to a sort of channel their talents toward the organizational set objective.

The same is true that PM, in its share understanding of how individual contribute to organizational set objective, its effectiveness can be found through the appraisal process that focuses very often to align the workforce in the building of competencies. It is to improve performance through training and development that drive business result toward a set objective.

The aim and set objective of performance management is always to align any organizational objective with the skills, and competency of the employees. And it tends to involve creating a viable workforce with the understanding of what the organization want to achieve at the overall level.

The PM becomes important, and essentially through both formal and informal processes because it provide an avenue to align the employees and resources and indeed, the system to meet up with their strategic overall objective. Therefore, the PM comes to serve as continuous process of improving performance through the setting of both individual and team objective that are aligned to the strategic objective of the organizational planning performance to achieve the set goals.

It does this through reviewing and assessing progress made so far and developing the knowledge, skills and the abilities of the people to embrace the organizational set objectives.

The effective component parts of the performance management system could be found in the followings;-
1. Planning of performance, that includes employees’ goals and objective.
2. The dissemination of performance communication.
3. Observation and data gathering with documentations review.
4. Performance Appraisal meeting with discuss.
5. Coaching and training taken place .
6. The KPI (Key Performance Indicator), how it work.

The KPI is a quantifiable metric that tends to reflect how well an organization is actually achieving its set goals and objective. It does this through monitoring, and directly measuring how the system is meeting up with its long term set of goal and objective through its outstanding customer services.

No, not a feeling. But motivation and feeling are two different concepts. And from the Psychological point of view, motivation is a force that energize , activate and direct behavior. Feeling has the power over your life that you give it, of which emotion put on display. Such display of emotion can be found in anger, fear, and joy etc. Motivation often tends to transform those feelings into action, although by the choice we make eventually.
The same is true that emotion describe feeling while motivation is more related to reason, simply because, there is always a reason why you choose to perform that task.

It has been discovered that often people have needs that are continually competing with one another. But no one have exactly the same mixture and strength of needs. Although, most of the time, people are driven mainly by achievement while others are primarily by security. But it must be recognized, however, that there are individual differences without the presupposition in deciding which motives are more or less important.

Any conventional maintenance program, must take responsibility to carrying out equipment task until it break or reaches its maintenance date. And such responsibility must be centered on preventive maintenance task.

Some of the actions expected in the performance of maintenance Task are as follows;-
1. Must be able to detect abnormalities and improve on it in any equipment.
2. Must understand the function and component of the equipment and able to detect the abnormalities.
3. Must recognize possible quality issues and identify their causes.

Adequate maintenance task should be able to provide fast and reliable trouble shooting in a certain number of failure cases. The best way to impact this knowledge is through training of an entire methodical program. Such that whenever the failure requires an intervention, everyone will be disposed to work as a team. Maintenance Education state with the five steps;-
1. Storage with elimination of unnecessary things.

The initial cleaning of any equipment before task is essential for high quality maintenance. And all members must be involved in cleaning and the surroundings. A strong work ethic is vital to a company achieving its goals. Every employee, from the CEO to entry-level workers, must have a good work ethic to keep the company functioning at its peak. A work ethic is a set of moral principles an employee must imbibe in his job. Certain factors come together to create a strong work ethic.

INTEGRITY: - Integrity stretches to all aspects of an employee’s job. An employee with integrity fosters trusting relationships with clients, coworkers and supervisors. Coworkers value the employee’s ability to give honest feedback. Client trust the employees advice. Supervisors rely on the employee’s high standards and trusting him not to steal from the company to create any problem.

The definition of Maintenance is a combination of action carried out to restore in any equipment, to its normal working condition. There are two set of maintenance which is –Proactive and Reactive Maintenance. (1.) On the one hand is –the Predictive Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance which is the proactive maintenance (2.) Then the Corrective Maintenance which is a reactive Maintenance.


Therefore, the four Maintenance philosophy and strategies are;-

(1) Preventive Maintenance – The type of Maintenance carried out regularly before any major break down to restore any equipment back to its normal working condition.
(2.) Predictive Maintenance-carried out before it is actually necessary after a careful examination or inspection of any equipment.-(through diagnostic method).
(3) Corrective Maintenance- the type of maintenance carried out after the break down of any equipment called -rectro-active strategy system of maintenance
(4) Reliability-Centro-Maintenance –the type of maintenance that involved the improvement programme in the cost –effective and technically feasible approach. It also comes to utilize a systematic structured approach based on the consequences of any failure.


THE FOUR (4)-LIKELY CONSEQUENCES OF POOR MAINTENANCE.

(1) –Reduced production Capacity.- This is when the Assets tends to perform under-expected target of which the consequence is down-time.
(2.)- Increase Production cost- This is when the real cost and opportunity cost increases due to asset not performing in its optimal level.
(3)- Low quality Product & services- This is when we have customer dissatisfaction that could result to lost of sales and costumers in the process.
(4)- Safety Hazard- that implies failure leading to injuries and finance and even lost of life in the process.


SOME WAYS TO OVERCOME THESE PROBLEMS

These problems can be partially overcome through Schedule inspections and monitoring programmed to assist in optimizing the planned maintenance intervals.
Through a structure like method called –Checklist- through which consistent information about the actual condition of the equipment is known.
A designed out maintenance method to eliminate high cost due to poor engineering design and maintenance practices or operation of a system outside its design-specification.

It must be emphasized, that we must make no mistake, not to be aware that the mind often choose to wonder on its own accustomed affair, uncontrolled and unoccupied objectively with unceasing restlessness with every passing matter of interest of no enduring value. And this is the moment of taking our responsibility to make a choice of difference through the intrinsic feeling to overcome any wasteful activity as we strive to confine our thought to a well-defined channel of expression of a higher purpose. And the mind must always ready to heed to this point of adjustment [b][/b] to take a determined stance to maintain and registered a new idea, as the inner personality is compelled under discipline to impose its nature of virtue.

This judgment within is one of the singular reasons we must to take seriously the opposing factors in the constituent and complexity of man in terms of self-discipline. However, self-cognition no doubt, brings reflection of not the happiest kind, and of cause, the problem of the skillful adjustment toward the expansion of consciousness for the sake of humility will never be fully understood in the life of man. It must be added that humility has to do with idiosyncrasy; an unusual feature in man, that take time to develop through which man realize his true strength and beauty of mental actions created after the law of a spiritual man.

Until such realization, we remains at the mercy of the mind that reign over us with such authority of a tyrant and arrogance of which man has being so obedient to involved himself that has resulted to a painful living with uncertainty and confusion. The sense of humility, no doubt, would reverse the condition of affair, as we consciously and deliberately reverse the very imposition of the will of self upon the activity of the spiritual faculty not without a marked result. Therefore, I submit that we must not lose our belief in the firmness of discipline, and also to tends to live blindly among men, when there is need to do so, as if you did not recognize them, to save yourself of the feeling of humiliation, because often, life is pleasant to watch, and its play must be well acted; for in the world of today good actors are still being needed.

It must be emphasized that Christian humility in particular demands that we are aware of the distance between what we can accomplish at the moment and the splendor of the future that God has prepared. The awareness of such distance rightly or wrongly understood does not in any way cripple the will of man to act at any given moment. It is indeed, the awareness of this distance between the promised future of the kingdom of God with peace and the current situation of things that can really provide the stimulus required to transform our current situations. It is the hope for the peaceful future of the kingdom promised that must supply us the wings of imagination and the will to act at any given moment in practical term, in spite of the insidiousness and inadequacy.

However, we seems not to be aware that we are animal of rational type with certain specific identity, of weakness and of strength, of which, although, with the mind of blank-sheet, of which anything can be written. It is also true that as an individual, we have the right to alter whatever is written in our mind at any given moment, to come to terms with some of the basic set of instructions as given by God, of which we must not ignore at our own peril.

In the Gospel of Luke 14; 11, it said that-“everyone who exalt himself will be humbled and the one who humbled himself will be exalted”. Humility in Christian perspective is the true measure of knowledge of God, and therefore, any true Christian, no matter how desirable and great in his intellect, humility remains one of the elements that must stand out in our practical life. In fact, there is a saying that it takes but a moment to be baptized, but a decade to become a Christian.

This is could be true, because conversions come to depend very much on the grace we receive in our prayer life through love and services, and in other word, faith without work is nothing. For those of us believers, it is not, overstatement to say that it is out of humility, that Jesus wash the feet of his disciples, of which the disciples may not have understood at the time. Therefore, humility has its root from a plane outside of our everyday thought and observations. It is probably the singular reason, the ordinary consciousness of man, almost refuse to sanction due to the intrinsic feeling of humiliation that we often witness as a conflict, to embrace the gesture of humility.

The same is true, it has become the very testing ground, and a moment that bring us face to face to the awareness of divinity that overshadow human consciousness at any given time. Of cause, it is the moment of our heart surrender to the beneficent prompting that tends to upset any preconceived ideas, thought and actions. It must be emphasized that humility is one of the supreme value of virtue, being misunderstood, but remain a value of virtue in the consciousness and imperatively demanded in the life of man. Because it unlock the very spirit of God in everyone as it unfold the sense of higher value of oneness and love, “in the love your neighbor as yourself” dictum.

The same is true, that through humility, multitude of anxieties, worries and perturbations that held undisputed hitherto, sway in the soul of man, can no doubt, be let loose in the soul of the tyranny as they give way in the life of man at any given time . Of cause, it is often but a mistake to assume that humility stand the chance to forsake the arena of personality, to the extent, of denying the interplay of the forces therein, but on the contrary, it stand the very chance of a renew spirit and power of self-direction with wisdom and insight with the ability to harmonize any opposing vibration of love and pride at any given moment in the life of man.

Humility is the catalyst of a tangible element of a true conversion and feasible to truly lived Christian life of love. The true conversion through which we can begin to pay attention to the ordinary people and to listen to the cry of the less privilege individual among us. But make no mistake, it is an insidious adjustment to make at any given time, but man have all what it take to do it, because our creator could not recommend what is beyond our confine human acceptance. Any adjustment in the human acceptance, must start from the mind with a renew focused not without admirable effort in the adaptation to control the mind out of distraction but of the possible attitude of disobedience and of resentment prevalent around us.
