It's only right that I update this story

1.some of the abducted people where released.they had been left outside in the sun and rain by their abductors for about 10 days before the family members where told to come and pay the ransom.The kidnappers spoke pidgin English. I am not sure if they were noyed to speak any other language.They seemed to wear camoflagues of some sort and were heavily armed.But they were not from or in support of any military or police system in Nigeria

They taunted the victims to report to the police and see if anything would happen.

2.Nigerian police successfully caught and killed some ring leader of these events months later and it was covered by a small section in the Guardian newspaper.One could have missed it.It said..... A notorious kidnapper was arrested cant remember if he was killed in action."he was the mastermind of the Ekeson bus kidnap

3.I have since learnt our police and military are working on this.Albeit quietly.perhaps that's their own style

Oga doctors on NYSC are not house officers. You google to understand housemanship is first.

Secondly Nigeria is one of few countries in the world that pays house officers. House officers are doctors in training, they do not perform any role in the hospital without supervision.

In the U.S. students pay to enter housemanship. If doctors are demanding we treat them like it is done in other climes then we must start from somewhere.

The problem here is comparing us 4th year medicine and Nigerias internship which is the 7th or 8th year of medicine.

The systems are different.Nigeria uses the UK system.in the us the clinicals for students corresponds to year 4-7 of medical school in Nigeria
