ivolt:Let me school you on Governance In Nigeria There's legislative arm (upper and lower chamber) they enact laws. They use laws to achieve results working through the executive There's the executive arm. The MDA's they have a Board,advisory/Governing council, a Minister and A perm sec at the highest level. They work with policies (when there is no law)to get results. So Emiefele can authorize and adopt an executive policy for finance in Nigeria (which he has done) so long as it does not conflict with any existing law or the constitution. |
But she had been seperated from him for 35 years...that one was not his wife now.na ex wife She probably wasn't even there when he died, may not have seen him in years,But will be forming i suffered with him ,and wife at inheritance conversation. Awon olojukokoro. In a sane world, If she had kids for him they should get their share and she shares from them.but then the courts will decide. |
Was she blackmailed? Abi she no get family to advice her? |
grandstar:Nothing nice about it,it is rude and insulting to the country, and her people How information around an economy is managed is very important. Money is a key element in a countrys soverignty. They (aboki) made themselves the official voice (another way to see it is official representative) of a bussiness unit that had been deemed illegal in the country ,basically they are giving authenticity to an illegal activity against the directives of the country and that's their response," global bodies rely on us", "temporary stop to said activity"...and "hope the Naira appreciates" .I repeat the firm and their spokesperson are irresponsible, and their press release is offensive... Hope you get now why it's not funny |
Theunbothered:I will call out any firm that sabotages Nigeria and think it's a joke anyway. And their supporters too. Some of us plan to live here and we are not leaving . You are with the aboki people right? Pass my message to them.bunch of economic terrorists .CBN was right on this one,the real issue remains whats the official country approved source for their information. |
Irresponsible press release. We will stop publishing rates in line with national directives.simple matter Nooo,They had to add hope naira appreciates next week.our director this our director that...They must be a bunch of mindless people pleasing drones in the place. What i see here is unprofessionalism at its peak.Next time hire a PR or comma person to write your press release.not some drop out. And to think a supervisor approved this too |
This write up makes no sense, The questions appear to imply house officers have funds for training but those funds were usurped by residents and consultants The same House officers that had their salaries scrapped But residents have been complaining of no funds for their trainings? The problem is that clinical Doctors are not online to respond to this.ARD needs a dedicated communications unit made of staff they pay...That's quite simple enough, pay them with your nationwide dues and let them bring these issues to you and tell them what to explain to the general public |
Demoralizing the military should be made a crime,A real offence punishable by speedy trial and convictions in Nigeria The military are husbands ,sons ,father's and brothers to a whole lot of people. They and their families put the lives of this men and women up for the safety and future of many,How do we allow people abuse them verbally like this? What kind of people stay quiet and allow clowns tar and feather the military? The thing is Nigerians think everything is a joke, this must be curtailed.Any news aimed at been malicious, falsified ; or lacking evidence must be investigated. But society must also call the perpetrators to order.how do you rejoice at the decimation of these gallant men,at best ask why? Ask what do they need? Remember the foreign lands that you quote have serious laws to protect their men and their morale.... they have strong policies against hate speech , against pretending to have served for any reason ( stolen valour act ) ,etc This abuse must stop and it will only be so if we all speak against it.that said if the question is why? And how can they be better supported thats a different conversation to demoralizing the military |
Beautiful family, fine kids, beta wife, lucky guy. |
oscarlamba:That's to long a process in an emergency, a faster alternative approved by state must be found, such as special response teams just for this purpose |
It is wrong, very wrong and ungodly that we leave whole villages indefensible with no plans at all for their protection, and they are been attacked repeatedly, even children are not spared and everyone is silent How difficult is it to have an emergency response plan that works? If the problem is approval then the blood of all those people are on the heads and hands of those delaying the approvals, those that can do something but do nothing, those that can say something but say nothing How hard is is to amend laws and seek for approval to ensure people ,lives and property are protected,is that not what Governance is? The US can respond to any threat anywhere in the world in 6hrs,here whole villages are wiped out in operations reported to last for over 6hrs and no help from anywhere, are we so bereft of wisdom or empathy? Where is our humanity? If it is lack of knowledge on how to go about it ask amotekun leaders, but to do nothing to safeguard people, that is a great evil,in the face of which we must speak up and not be silent |
This movie will be best appreciated by lovers of culture and cultural heritage You see the music and what you all call incantations were culturally and historically significant Yoruba oratory The movie had the Ijala ode- that's the song Yoruba warriors of old used to ginger themselves before a battle, they basically hype themselves and their prowess, the beauty and significance can only be captured in careful interpretation, just imagine like Shakespeare's odes It had Oriki oba-the cultural song for acknowledging ,praising and crowning a king, It had a form of dierge the song for loss, at the loss of a king in Yoruba also has a name, that's by the way It had proverbs utilized with depth I liked how they delivered their lines passionately and naturally My only reservation was the religion depiction , It's a great movie, |
It looks like a good house, it's interesting to note and good to note that he did not die in poverty The exiled king,I'm sure his people would have wondered what became of him Any info on his family in the exiled country? |
bukatyne:No one is stopping the school, but they should first settle the girls case, the lawyer should please add public apology in every major newspaper in addition to financial compensation that can pay for Harvard in future,I would like to see that |
Most Nigerians are bloody hypocrites.ask them if anyone singles their 10 year old daughter out and gives her 20 lashes of canes in public for her haircut, without having discussed the matter with them the parents, what will they do, No sane parent will take crap like that lightly,no sane society should, The real joke here is how that hairstyle will be defined as indecent in court, indecent hairstyle? Ekiti Kete, we see you, bush people republic and yes I have a problem with them, they have refused to grow with the times, bunch of Stone Age people, and this case ladies and gentlemen is an example of an Ekiti school and their instructors. |
She has every right to sue them,we will not progress as a nation if we don't challenge these kinds of wrong appropriately to prevent them from happening again The narcissists that were the teachers abused their powers, why cane a child 20 times for her hairstyle? Btw what's wrong with that hairstyle set,it's quite nice, but then it's ekiti Sue them under child abuse laws, open a go fund me page for the girl and let Nigerians get her a better school Ekiti people we see you, backward set of aggressive people ,nonsense |
Elvictor:These ones no get sense, just making a bad situation worse, they have been duly noted. |
Neddstark:Do you know who abba kyari is and his record? Apparently you don't, he is the cop they send when thy truly want an issue resolved, or some criminals fished out, and he succeeds. He was he CP every State wanted He was he first team documented entering the forests with guns to arrest kidnappers, his team was he team that solved many high profile National cases so many that people started wondering how does he do it So to blame him for all the rot in the police as seen in this your post is misplaced,he was one man who tried his best with the cases assigned to him, these allegations suggest he had his lows too but truth remains he was a high performer when it came to getting criminals picked up in Nigeria |
Ade3131:The foreign office should have presented a petition to Nigeria and allowed Nigeria carry out its investigations first, and if guilty sanctions still lie with Nigeria That said you are right, that must not and Nigeria has demonstrated that it does not support its citizen committing crimes abroad, however remember in this case this is about the position (the head of an intelligence unit in Nigeria), he should not even be tried by just any court I he was a US counterpart, why should it be different here, |
Neddstark:Not with abba kyari, the highest performing police officer in Nigerian history, proposed next in line for iGP in the near future The first appointment majority of Nigerians will have celebrated and supported across all tribes, Yes he may have messed up but the US no try, they messed with us on this one, that treaty should be revoked as punishment, and let them find how to deal with those yahoo boys on their own And as a future lesson to Nigerian leaders this is why you don't sign treaties that undermine your sovereignty or has the potential to in any way |
Sheuns:They are not serving officers of he State especially security officers, that's the difference,no need to play ostrich. If I have to play explain the many reasons a country must not allow that, then I shouldn't be having a conversation with you in the first instance That said it appears Nigerians don't like the treaty that allows regular citizens respond to fraud allegation and be tried in the US,it was a good initiative done in the spirit of support and collaboration to ensure openness and make sure all fraudulent boys don't escape to Naija and hide under our soveriegnty to commit crimes However if the US will use this same treaty in a manner that disrespects the country to humiliate us (despite full cooperation from Nigeria at the expense of its citizens) and potentially put National interests at risk, then it's time to consider revoking the treaty 100% , end of story. I repeat again,we are a soverign nation any attempt to mess with our sovereignty outrightly or subtlety, any act that places it at risk must be nipped in the bud,we owe it to future generations of Nigerians This matter could have been handled better by the US,let's call it what it is,it is a gross disrespect to Nigeria the way it was handled,an attempt to ridicule the country despite all the support they had received in their fight against "yahoo boys" by the country |
Malawian:I'll assume you are not taught in English in Malawi, do your research on what it means to be a sovereign State, Google is your friend |
Sheuns:Our sovereignty is the reason we are not a vassal state paying taxes to another country,so yes we must defend our sovereignty ,again to help you understand it means anything that challenges soverign issues must be addressed, all those things you listed do not relate to our sovereignty, our laws, our borders, our money, our military or paramiltary ,our defence etc and those related to them those are soverign matters, let's all learn this and widen up. |
Neddstark:Our sovereignty superceeds all you have mentioned,it's like how the US will meet pass a judgement that renegades any aspect of its constitution He is a serving high ranking officer ,his investigation, conviction If he is truly guilty and sentencing lies with Nigeria and no foreign entity, that's what this is about, the cane no dey US hand, and this is a precedent that must not start |
This is not about fraud it's about jurisdiction and National security because he is a high ranking serving officer of the law, Ask yourselves how many serving US soldiers accused in afganistan and other war torn countries were tried by the local country laws Will the US allow any of its serving agents or officers be tried investigated by other countries local authorities on acts related to their official duties or tried in another country under local laws for said actions?remember they must speak the truth at all times. The US will never allow it for their serving officers and agents so Nigeria must not, and yes it's different cos he is a serving senior ranking oficer,to do so is to ridicule the country and place a National asset in foreign hands, nobody does that The best they the US can ask for is observership status on his investigation by the local police authorities, anything else such as extradition for investigation is ikoja aye, and I speak as a son of the soil with National interest at heart,it should not be allowed |
You all should take a chill pill,we are a soverign state, the alleged crime was carried out in the line of duty, full jurisdiction falls to us,Nigeria will decide how this goes not the US, we are not puppets,we are a soverign state and Abba kyari has served the Nation,it matters. |
shakyum:I take my time before responding to National matters, that's how lon it takes to see the hands of all the players in the matter, 1. What is at play here in summary is a clash between how we do things in Nigeria and versus not the rest of the world, but the US. at the end of the day it boils down to our sovereignty, full stop 2. Abba kyari allegedly collected cash to arrest and investigate a person,in Nigeria it's an unofficially institutionalize a practice for an investigation to commence, private individuals are expected to fuel the police car,pay the patrol team ,find the phone search etc, there are many excuses for this which includes funds not released officially for these services etc, but in Naija that's the way it is,I must add it doesn't mean it's right, but it's been institutionalize 3.Abba kyari alleged offense is the Naija police way,and before you say 8m is a lot,it doesn't matter the amount it's 50k for some it's 50m for others it's what the payee decides to pay 4.I suspect these are the issues a case of payment for investigation, big crime in US,unofficial standard practice in Nigeria 5.The resolution o this matter as regards our high performing cop ultimately is a test of our we handle matters that regard our ability to govern ourselves with our own laws, said crime was committed on Naija soil,we MUST decide how it is tried and sentenced not any foreigner. 4.the factors to consider are his previous performance, his history of any prior crimes etc. we can decide to give him community service for all we care that's what it means to be a sovereign state. 5. If Abba kyari has truly done any good any effectiveness in Nigerias fight against crime, then it's time to bring our full soverign might to address how he is investigated handled on his matter, lastly this is a test subject for how everyone in Nigeria may be treated one day and choose to be investigated and prosecuted on Naija vs US laws in future, and before you say I am not a criminal just consider all the contract Infractures you treat as simple issues in Nigeria, that day is here folks, choose your court |
I love your writing style, the narration is captivating, don't stop please, forget the spammers and trolls, they are weeds a good moderator will help block later |
BabaAduras:1. The child is not an ogbange 2.Children play with stuff all the time, the lighters should have been above the reach of children or supervised 3. The store was careless and risked the lives of the public with their fire hazard and poor fire prevention strategies 4.The child can never be blamed for the stores incompetence, they put the child in this mess, repeat she is a child 5.The picture of this child should be brought down by all,any blog or site with her picture should be prosecuted 6.All stores should learn from this 7.The girls mother should get a lawyer ( a good one) |
The answer is simple, what is the global best practice as regards percentage allocated amd other oblivations to the host communities |
Now the LASG, the court and iyabos team have a potential case and jurisdiction to pick up the meddlesome interloper if they wish. This is an attempt to swing the views of the society and the judge in the case. That said how can the guy be this foolish. He is the mascot for sexual abuse apologist. He just doesn't know when to stop. The case in in court |
Johnrake69:This is what they tell them in the north, the abokies on the streets all believe this.It needs to be corrected asap in all communications so history is not rewritten. The highest income generation during the agric period was from the South- Palm oil, cocoa from the south earned more than all northern produce |
