People are just seeing the reality I've been talking about since. We are our own enemy. Nigerians are propagandists. We like to trend for the wrong reasons. Many of us are saboteurs. Many people, especially the ones who control this and that, wants this present government to fail. In order to do this, they resolved to sabotage. God is watching everyone on 3D. Armaggedon: There is nothing wrong with the head having ego. It's rather the inability of the subordinate to acknowledge and respect it that leads to constant friction. I am a woman and I agree with you. If in the case of any eventuality, I can on my own take care of the family. Despite that fact, do you know what I call my husband? I call him "My Lord." A man will always have ego, but you can massage it if you are a wise woman. He is My Lord but I can send him to do anything, underline it, Yes Anything for me. He's always willing, he's more than caring, he's a good man but I never take him for granted. He eats my food, I still thank him for eating. But he never takes anything for granted too. He's more organized than me, he thinks ahead and gets things done even before I remember them. A wise woman builds her home, a stupid one uses her own hands to scatter it! I like this advice from the Minister. Don't run mad together; if you must run mad at all, reserve your own Werey till another time. K'oluwa ma ṣọ wa o! |

Politics › Re: Are You Still Batified? by placeofallure(f): 7:32pm On Feb 18, 2024 |
emkz: Yes.
For many years, we have been living in a bubble. We subsidized the consumption by the rich. Our refineries have not been producing. There was pervasive insecurity. Oil theft was rife. Chinese were stealing from us. We started handing out dollars to people for reasons that don't make sense. The subsidy was consistently being abused by people who claimed it and still took the products across the borders. Local fuel consumption was inflated. There were no investments in critical infrastructure. Questionable billionaires emerged following the start of the 4th republic. The bought banks and no one knows the source of their incomes. Industries completely collapsed and religion became rife.
Infact, we started borrowing to pay salaries and subsidies. People like Professor Usman Yusuf in NHIS used their positions to rob the nation. Today, they are sudden moralists for a better Nigeria.
What Tinubu is doing is an attempt to refocus things so that the pains will not be even more in the future. Tinubu demonstrates the boldness many before him lacked. We can see some improvements in certain areas. For example, after the kidnap of the Nabeeha family and the killing of Nabeeha herself, we can see how Wike and Co swung into action and have arrested the masterminds. Our military chiefs are not talking too much and are doing the job.
I recall when they started partitioning roads in Lagos for BRT. As soon as the buses were rolled out, no one criticized Tinubu again. So the suffering we are currently facing are pains that will pass.
We only call on Tinubu to go after the sponsors of terrorism, banditry and rogue businessmen inflating prices. We also call on governors to shoe workings. It is evil for PDP governors to be attacking the President when they should be worried and working harder for their people.
As a people, let us put the same pressure on the governors, representatives and senators.
If the elections hold again, I'd still throw my weight behind Tinubu. Atiku had his time, and he had nothing to show for it. He is one of the architects of the current mess. Peter Obi is just a revolt against the status quo.
Any sincere Nigerian would make suggestions to help the nation. I said it in another thread that people should call out the governors who just take and never give. Prior to this time, the economy was being patched here and there to appear healthy but it's not. The reality is dawning on the people now and they're are all crying foul! Tinubu is not the architect of Nigeria's woes, we've had it coming; we're not just attentive to warnings is all. And to OP's question, Yes, I am still Batified!

DaddyRochie1642: Wow,.... this deep, even at his age, his passing has this kind of impact on you, imagine, if he had passed at a younger age,
There was a guy I knew that was always telling me to be strong when our mother passed each time we meet, - two months later, one day me and him met and he was telling me that the time he was telling me to be strong and stay strong after our mother passed away, it was after he lost his father one month later that he realized what I was going through that period our mother passed. - he told me that it is not easy for him to stay strong after loosing his father, he was asking me for tips on how to stay strong after such a loss.
People that have not experienced loosing a loved one can never ever relate to it. I have lost someone close. I dread for it to happen again. It's not a position I want to be in. It was my kid brother's wife while she was in labour. She was just 28. I smashed my phone on the wall when my big sis called to tell me. I became inconsolable and was crying everywhere I go. The lady, me and my kid sister, all 3 of us, were gist partners. Everyday in the mornings, I cry from sleep, meet tears on my face and continue crying. My husband tried for me at the time. Thank God I have him. That continued for long. It's still painful whenever I remember her. Rest on my sweetheart, such a beautiful soul inside out. |
