If people need special grace, or skills , or abilities to survive you, Tope, then you are of questionable character. You are toxic and difficult to cope with. Honestly, this reminds me of the American movie, 'Deliver Us From Eva'.

Your husband and siblings can't all be bad. Maybe you are meddlesome, maybe you are domineering and unreasonable at times. Just work on your attitude is all! Live and let live.

It's not an innocent question! It's a question pregnant with malicious intents. The people appointed are Nigerians and we're happy for them. I am particularly happy for Mr. Obi Asika. I love his antecedents from Nigerian Idol. I am not Igbo, I am a Nigerian.

Have you read the Bible today? Read the verse below and pray with it:

O Lord please help me to be serious in my
walk with you and watchful in prayers always in Jesus name. Amen.
Amen.

shocked

Time really does fly, it still feels like yesterday when NwaAmaikpe almost sprained his neck while staring into Jay Jay's wife, Nkechi's silver convertible Mercedes Benz S coupe as she drove along Ogui road in Enugu.

It might surprise you to know that it was not even remotely because of my fetish for other men's wives or because I was interested in finding out if she had any underwear on, but simply because we had been told that she gave birth to a white baby for Jay Jay, and this very girl who was barely 7months old, was in the car with her that day.

It's been many years now; one fact has changed, I won't be considered a pervert for picking any interest in her now; but one fact still remains the same, what fake news can not do, does not exist.
When I saw this comment, I had to scroll up and check the date whether it was an old post...Lo and behold who's back? NwaAmaikpe, Werey Alaṣọ!

HisSexcellency:
A young Nigerian man narrates the tough decision of calling off his relationship with his fiancee after she made a hurtful statement to him about his inability to buy her a wig.

A social media user identified as IamEkene_ took to the microblogging platform, X to narrate the tale of his past relationship with an ex-fiancee.
According to the young man, his fiancee had pleaded with him to buy a particular wig for her but due to financial constraints, he couldn’t afford it.

His fiancee, however, made a statement in an attempt to guilt trip him into buying the wig, he immediately severed their realtionship.

His post;
“A woman I was dating and engaged asked me to purchase a wig for her.
I told her I didn’t have the resources for it at the moment.

She looked me in the eye with bitterness and told me as long as I kept “maltreating” her by denying her wants, God will keep doing same to me.
I stood up from the bed at that moment, had my bath and went to work.

I spent the whole day in introspection.
I projected 10 years into the future and I didn’t see any scenario I was going to have a supportive human as a wife or be really happy if I didn’t constantly renew my subscription with her.

I had to let her go for good. It was an extremely though decision as we had gone really far with preps to spending together for a lifetime but I knew that lifetime will be hell if I eventually sealed it.

2023 taught me a-lot and I will rather stay single or a baby daddy than settle for nonsense.”

https://nigerianstreet.com/2024/01/08/man-dumps-fiancee-over-inability-to-afford-wig/
Man, you did the right thing. What kind of entitlement mentality is that? She was so desperate she placed a curse on the man, no nah!

It feels good to collect money from your man, every woman loves that sense of financial security, but you won't have him break the bank for you. Especially when he doesn't have and it's not a life threatening situation. All through the yuletide season, I no make any hair o, I just comb my hair in a bun and I'm ready to go, it was my best Christmas ever cause I didn't lack anything. I just made the hair this Saturday in readiness for work this week. This is a big, huge, humongous red flag. Thank goodness he had the sense to leave.

Moreso, she should be able to buy the wig herself, that's what real slay queens do.

Women should be up and doing on their own. What if something happens to the man - sickness or death - will you go a begging for the rest of your life?

.The bride price has been paid traditionally to her family and that’s what matters the most even if it’s only two family members present from both sides, that’s all.

I understand your point though, cos it’s only in Nigeria we marry one lady three times; Court weeding; Traditional marriage; White wedding and must also have to spend lavishly.
Yes o! I thought so too until my mum reset my brain.
After my traditional wedding, which we planned a few months apart from the white wedding, I wanted to enter the house in the evening (our family home) my mum said "For where? You don't have space in my house anymore." Na so we start living together o, my boo and i, even before the white wedding. It's funny how I didn't pack anything. I eventually returned home few days later to get my things.

Davido and Chioma are married in my opinion since Davido has done right by the family.

Ma'am, I've tried Ginger but nothing. In fact yesterday I was on kunu that contains a lot of ginger throughout, still no relief.

I tried using birth control pills ( levofem) on someones recommendation last year but it got worse and extended my flow for almost two weeks non stop. So I stopped.

I've tried a few things, nothing seems to be working. My twin said she used to have it but after childbirth it stopped. I'm tired.
Dey play, your cramps cannot be as devastating as mine.

Don't try birth control pills. Those drugs will just scatter your normal arrangements, you know, distort a lot of things and it can wreak havoc when you are finally ready to give birth.

Cramps were my thing way back. Everybody knows when I'm on. Teachers always send me back home cause I was useless coming to class. Then in the university, I miss lectures on my cramp days cause I couldn't cope. Many times, I land in the hospital just because of cramps. My mum really suffered in my hands.

Your twin is right. When you give birth, cramp diminishes. That works like magic.

Chief Adedeji Aderemi alias 'Olofa-Ina' served as the founder and pioneering leader of the Olofa-Ina Theatre Group from the late 1970s through the 90s. Hailing from Ede, he adopted the moniker "Olofa-Ina" as his stage name. It's noteworthy that the king of Ede holds the esteemed title of the first warrior to rule over Ede, known as 'Timi Agbale; Olofa-Ina, Okunrin bi Okuta.'

Fond memories arise of the Olofa-Ina Theatre Group entertaining us during our formative years.

The group produced various notable TV series and dramas, including but not limited to:

"Ogun Lakaye"
"Kogunmajalu"
"Ti Ibi, ti Ire"
"Ogidan"
"Ade Oba"
Additionally, the group made appearances in productions such as "Opa Aje", "Koto Orun," "Ogun Adubi", "Lisabi Agbongboakala", "Ogun Agbekoya", and "Aragberi", among others.

No o, he's not Abìjà. One of the shortcomings of the movie industry is stereotyping actors. This man doesn't do warrior roles like Abìjà or Fádèyí Olóró. Neither does he do babalawo roles like Àpinni Òòṣà or Lálùdé. Rather he acts as a chief or family head. He is almost always upright in character roles. This man can arrange Nigeria if given the chance because he was an expert in settling family disputes.
