Sincere9gerian: Well, that is your opinion but I dont believe we all should freeze because of ebola. Ebola is not the worst problem in world even at this moment. Road traffic accident has killed and maimed more people in Nigeria today than ebola would do in one week or more.To think that you, given your profession, should be the one advising against unnecessary gathering would instead choose to sacrifice public health for political expediency is indescribably pathetic. smh ![]() President Goodluck Jonathan has announced greater funding to stop the spread such as setting up additional isolation centres, border screenings and contact tracing.http://thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2014/08/11/another-sawyers-nurse-in-nigeria-positive-for-ebola-virus/ http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/new-ebola-case-confirmed/ |

GSKing: People who laugh and make people laugh are most likely the saddest, most depressed, loneliest and most suicidal people on earth. The generalization is rather sweeping, IMO. I would think the predisposition to depression has nothing to do with ones status, financial, societal or otherwise. It can happen to anyone at any time. |
Duncan789: ARFH...Hissssssss....why is that?? |
dyfatai: if dem no one employ person, make dem talk, which one be all dis criteria. If you have the required skills that the job entails you will likely be considered even if you don't have the required years of experience. |
Amefrica: Thanks everybody for your inputs, I really appreciate. The boy is fine now and we were assured at the hospital, that he's free from seizures henceforth.I'm happy to hear about the progress of your brother. Just some concerns, was he given medication at the hospital? If so what type? The reason I'm asking is due the herbs which your granny wants to give him. Recall my earlier comment. I'm not saying some of those herbal formulations don't work, it just that they may interact with the other orthodox drugs the child is on which may lead to undesirable effects. I'm speaking from experience here. |
Speaking as a professional I have to say a lot of trash is being peddled on this thread. I dont have a lot of time to start dispelling them but the best advice given is to seek the services of a competent neurologist in a teaching hospital. simply put convulsion is a type of seizure in which the muscles are affected which is what gives rise to the jerking observed. When the seizures become recurrent, the condition is then referred to epilepsy. not all type of seizures cause convulsions. there is a type known as 'absence' in which no clonic twitching occurs. but its classified as seizureall the same. convulsion cannot be cured because it is not a disorder as such. It is usually the symptom of underlying ailment. what can be done is to control the convulsive episodes whenever it arises., and to that end some posters eg spyder have given good advice on what to do. By all means avoid any herbal medication. Also under no circumstance give a medication that has not been specifically prescribed for the child. I read up to two poster advising carbamzepine. They're probably unaware the drug can cause - yes cause - seizures in some individuals in certain types of seizures. wish all the best ![]() |

Its indescribably pathetic that we have sunken so low in our morals that some have deemed it appropriate to make jest over the loss. Truly pathetic. Yes he has his indiscretions, and they may indeed be many. but he's just like all of us. If God were to visit the sins of the fathers on their children, I wonder just how many of you morrons would still be parents. Thankfully I know my God is not like that. Let us not let our hate twist our sense our reasoning, please. Take for instance the comment by one imbeecile on his fb wall ![]()

Well, I've been in Ebonyi State for about 4 years now and compared to the other Eastern States I've lived in, Enugu and Anambra, the indigies are very peaceful, hospitable people. |
I may not support many of Gej's policies, but I think he got it right on this one. This has be immediately and decisively nipped in the bud. N |
299: Wrong. Not Chime's sister, but his chief of staff (a woman though).I think it will be a mistake to underestimate the 'strong woman of Enugu State politics', as she's commonly known. Was she not the one that literally held the deputy gov hostage during the protracted AWOL of Chime, and ran the state like her personal property? There are indications she is battling the dep gov for the senatorial seat (East) and may be actually be the prime mover for the impeachment threat. lets see how it pans out. |
Again. . . PDP = APC = self seeking opportunists. nuff said. |
bjtinz: lol! Your babe dey deny you punny/?#pervert alert! anyway no prob btwn my babe and me. we have been careful to separate work from romance so no cause for alarm, at least yet.Just FYI, the nurses uniform naturally accentuates their curves, giving them a more voluptuous look. Female doctors, on the other hand, are usually on their white coats, and so their curves will be hidden from your likes. ![]() @ topic, My concern is this battle has gone on for too long. Taking a peek at the see the kinds of invectives being used at the other NMA vs JOHESU threads is really a cause for concern. Its the type you'd expect to see in the politics section or tribalism section, and my fear is that irreparable damage is being done to the health sector with this protracted bickering. Govt need to come in urgently and get all parties to dialogue. |
feelamong: Dear XXXXXX,na wa o!! from almost 13% in Jan to this. . . ![]() |
ikemefunam: please ,first bank twice refunded my money as failed tb,and my effort for them to issue tb to me via primary source failed, anybody with such issue with firstbank?odd. especially for a bank of their standard |
FIGHT! FIGHT!! FIGHT!!! E don do naaa. . . Haba!! This is actually my first post on this matter. I have kept a steady silence, observing from sidelines, [s]not because my babe is a pharmacist - their babes can fine sha!![/s], but because I see the whole episode as totally unnecessary, distracting, and not auguring well for the progress of the health sector. The truth is, and if doctors and all health worker should be sincere, both camps, NMA and JOHESU, have a lot of inordinate, unreasonable, unjustifiable and downright ridiculous demands. Let me start with that of my colleagues: Surgeon general, special number plate, overseas training, etc, are clearly frivolous. Are these the most pressing issues besetting the health sector?? as for Johesu lets face it: The consultancy thingy which I gather is the most contentious. Adeola has done a fairly good job trying to explain its merits, but I have to say I'm not convinced that is what we need right now. How different is it from the pharm d thing? Other equally unreasonable demands include equality of pay with doctors, headship of hospitals, etc. I think the FG is also not helping matters. Why the apparent silence over the issue? Pls the fighting is enough ooo |
MissMeiya: I hate PDP and APC the both of them. Touts, all. *spit* Obinoscopy: Touts. They are touts. All of them. None exempted. crusader01: PDP and APC are the same. I don't believe nairalanders will be e-fighting because of these parties. doofanc: simply put.Thankfully we still have discerning minds on NL. Its really pathetic seeing the APC vs PDP camps trying to outdo each other in defence of their parties' continuous show of disdain for the Nigerian masses. "can you imagine what that APC politician was doing?? and not possible in PDP!!" "PDP is a party of killers! APC will be the best thing to happen to Naija!!!" I laff in gwari. I will always say it: PDP = APC = self-seeking opportunists. Nothing more. |
. its bad to gamble ooooooo!!!Dia ris. . . ![]() Koolmexxi: Dem swear for these "wannabee Americana" rapper with drink? You mind them. Drink and drive seems to be their motto. |
monsuru560: Tel that to ur drunk fatherhow much you lose for Naija - France match? ![]() No go find work, ode. ![]() |
wirinet: All these shouts of "we demand more states" is only a way to get more oil money from Abuja to be shared by politicians and their cronies. The minute oil money stops flowing from the Niger Delta, the cry then would then be to merge the states into regions. I am sure by then Nigerian state would not be able to cater for more than 10 states.Simply put. We are yet to come to terms with our bloated workforce and still some are clamouring for more states. It will simply give room for more governors, commissioners, assemblymen, perm secs, special advisors and thier cronies to have a share of 'oyel' money. Nothing more! |
Donkunxex: lol.he's joblesswhat do you expect of gamblers. . . |
Polio: Moro..n!But you dey spoil market for those small scale recharge card sellers. |

most NGOs involved in the health sector do not discriminate against those having hepatitis B or even HIV. In fact, most of them do not even require pre employment medical screening. Mind you, I'm talking of jobs that pay well over 200k/month. |
who is GEJ's speech writer? |
nursedebbie: Op Picture of d slice dick plscheck PM news website |
Should you choose to go ahead with your strange idea, what exactly will be chopped off? |
ilugunboy: You are too old for this type of careless comment....really? how old is she?? ![]() |
