fash1964: The situation is similar to someone being accused of having 15 wives who denied the allegation but admitted to having only 12. The crux of the matter here is depletion of very substantial amount of foreign reserve with nothing to show for it. This is what needs to be addressed. What happened to our foreign reserve (either $45bn or $67bn)?It amazes me beyond anything imaginable that here we are bickering over technicalities, when it is clear something very serious indeed is wrong somewhere. Even if it was a meager $1billion - not your regular chicken change, by any means - the question should be, WHAT WAS DONE WITH IT?? |
calcal: over 100 millions of our people are sleeping without food everyday and yet we have FR for what?We should use our FR to buy garri for them? |
Mr.T Anonymous:where the Calabar woman dey? When I'm through, na she go run!! |
I recall watching a documentary about her. You need to see her effortlessly move those legs. very inspirational ![]() |
^^ what different would a scan have done? the damage was done as early as the 3rd or 4hth week of gestation when the neural tube is supposed to have closed. |
Euthanasia?? For real?? For NAIJA ?? C'mon, why are we fooling ourselves? Even in developed, highly liberal societies, the right to die still remains a hotly debated and highly controversial issue. Mind you we are talking about fully conscious adult diagnosed with a terminal illness and grappling intense, agonizing pain being denied the right to end their life. What do you think will be the reaction, in a conservative society like ours, to the that of a poor, defenseless, ignorant infant diagnosed with condition that could lead to lifelong physical and/or mental disabilities, being contemplated to go the euthanasia way? lets deal with realistic options, please. |
He listed northerners who own oil blocks to include Alhaji Mai Deribe, Borno State and owner of Cavendish Petroleum, which operates OML 110 with an average of about N4billion monthly.why e name nefa enta FORBBESS?? |

deelummy: I will consistently say this, HIV is just like any other virus, it does not cause aids. I won't, because I know it trash. Seriously, do people, this day and age, despite the massive campaigns, still believe such crap?? |
ileobatojo: Where do you get 200 from? She was not in naija. The US speed limits you are quoting are in miles per hour (mph). 65mph is about 105km/h and 75mph is about 120km/h. Her 110 speed was in km/h not mph. So she could have been travelling within the speed limit for the road she was on.that's the mistake people are making. 110mph is about 165km/hr which of course is excessive. 110km/h is certainly not too much |
I might also add that with current treatment (ART) readily available in most health centers, even in very remote areas, no woman, I repeat, no woman has any reason to give birth to a HIV+ baby in this day and age. Those who do have only themselves to blame. In the case of the lady in the article, she presented very late (during labour), which is unfortunate. |
Phew!!! another day again. Twelve never nack , but the sun has already started ''showing off'' again ![]() |
chiover: Why are they still deciving people in the name of possible cure? Virus/viruses don't have any cure. They come, run their phases and disappear. If you're talking about a treatment that would expedite the run of phases without harming the person in question, then I will listen to you, but, this "cure cured" propoganda is seriously wacked !Well, it depends on what we mean by 'cure'. If it means a total eradication of the virus from every part of the body, including those that are dormant in latent reservoirs, then I agree that this type, known as 'sterile cure' is unlikely for HIV. I should add it has been achieved in some viral infections. However, another form of cure exist in which the virus still remains dormant in latent reservoirs in the body, but are unable to reactivate into the actively replicating forms thus enabling a prolonged state of remission to be achieved. This, known as 'functional cure', which was alluded to in the article is being advocated for HIV and I might add that there have been promising results so far. |
funyy, I was just discussing this issue with a fruend. here in Ebonyi, the heat has been merciless. cant weight 4d rain. |

mankand: Dude do not be deceived... Christianity is not a religion.. Christianity is a way of life.... Religion is a bondage and that is why people like you keep worshiping your pastors calling them DaddyReally wish you guys stop splitting hairs. All you guys harping reflex action, blah, blah. . .like seriously, are you real ?I’m sorry I don’t buy that one second. I can’t begin comprehend it. Sometime ago I was accosted by the notorious ‘one chance’ elements. I had just disembarked the vehicle I boarded earlier and proceeded to collect my bag from the trunk of the car, when the driver in the most bizarre James Bond manner I usually see in moves, made a 180 turn and zoomed off with my property. Of course my first instinct was to go after him, but just as quickly common sense kicked in; I could very easily be crushed by vehicles in the busy berger junction. Screaming, yelling, shouting, all to no avail, as the man had disappeared. It is noteworthy that I had some very precious documents in the bag licence, I card, atm cards, etc. It was a painful experience, no doubt about it, but certainly not as painful as me losing my life. |
vivienne03: you guys should stop panicking! It works for facebook and google, but not nairaland. |
damn!! what a tragedy |

cigie: I don't think I've ever slept off while on wheels but something happened while I was in a Lagos traffic. I had spent so much time in the traffic and then when other cars from left and right started moving, it seemed to me like my own car was rolling backward. I was very nervous...I just kept pumping the breaks but it still seemed like the car was still rolling, even faster this time. I realized myself after sometime..my friend just kept looking at me. I hardly could explain what had happened because its sounded so absurd.LOL! I know exactly what you're talking about. ITs what physicists call theory of relativity. It usually happens when you have two tall buses on both sides of the vehicle. As the buses starts moving forward, it gives the impression you are moving backwards, even though you're actually stationary. normally the brain should be able to correct if one is fully alert and can see the front of the car; but I suspect in your case you were probably a little drowsy. . . ![]() |
One more thing, if you are driving on a highway and your passenger starts sleeping, even if the passenger is your wife, ask her to relocate to the rear seats. Its better you guys fight when you get to your destination over that, than both of you ending up in the Hospital or Mortuary. Its your call.lol, tell them. |
pistis: U can use a proxy for now to assess NL.it will def.bypass the DNS poisoning targeted at d gateways used by Nigerians...even with d same Etisalat line...meanwhile d "geeks" at EMTS can try IP restriction/block on dos suspected redirected sites....temporarily while d issue is analysed.how do you use a proxy?? |
