Didi Love: Kai! It's a pity folks no longer understand simple english.

Maximum single deposit amount is NOT THE SAME AS minimum account balance! The CBN is not saying you cannot have less then 20k in your account, they've only set limits for single deposit amounts and categorized bank customers for easier access to essential banking and other financial services.

People are on here abusing Sanusi and hating on what they barely understand. Such ignorance!

HealthRe: Mouth Swab As A Method Of Testing For DNA ( Pls Its Urgent ) by plendil: 12:03pm On Jan 25, 2013
kushbab: My Story
I was born as a result of teenage pregnancy. My mum was 16 as at the time i was born and i had known that since. I was taken from her when i was 3yrs old ,(no memories of my stay with her)and my grandma took care of me till i was 12 when i was taken to live with my Dad in 1998. We lived together until he married in 2001 . All the while , i was never allowed to visit my mum or her relatives. some times when we visit the village for xmas or new year, my mum would come around to see me and my dad would insult her and tell that he does not want to her anywhere around and next time she comes near me , he would call the police to arrest her so she stopped coming around. The issue of paternity arose when my Dad decided to surprise me (for my birthday which is in febuary) with a family vacation to France ( Calvados ). Reason was that since am studying french in school, it will help to interact very well and learn more. So visa application started. According to my dad the time i came home to take the test, he said that the embassy didn't believe that i'm his daugher because there is no resemblance between him and me ( i look like my mum )and my younger brothers are his copy so we had to do the test. the test was done using a cotton bud kind of apparatus to clean my tongue and inside cheeks and it was done december 21st last year only for it to prove otherwise. i was shock and confused and that is reason i asked the question. He has deceided not to see me not to talk of talking , and he doesn't pick my calls so i have decided to let him be. He should do what he wants to do. I'm not judging him.
I don't get that part. Why the hatred for your mum? Or did he suspect all long that you were not his child?

OP, The results are usually correct. So accept fate

or one little thing, When was the last time you gave someone a bl00w job and the guy came in your mouth?
Like I said earlier, it makes no difference. Any lab worth its name performing the test would easily detect two conflicting DNAs which would render the result invalid. The same goes for kissing, swapping of test swabs or other forms of contamination.

Such matured, useful info coming from a majority of responses here. I'm very impressed. smiley

Mod will do well to hide comments from those i/m/b/e/c/i/l/e/s making fun of what is clearly a sensitive issue for OP.

@topic, like others have rightly said it is very, very reliable. I would, as a matter of fact, add that the 99.99% level of accuracy being peddled is just for statistical expediency; to give weight to the claim that nothing is ever 100%. But in actual fact, I would say its 100%.

Those claiming contamination, or swapping or any other means of false results are basing their from internet blogs, which are mostly trash. The truth is, any serious lab conducting such tests actually has methods to know if contamination has taken place and the result will declared inconclusive. But as long as a clear result has been issued by the lab, then you be assured that it indeed the correct one.

All the best. smiley

Watching this video again I have to confess that other than some few raunchy scenes towards the end,(i.e the near nud.e lady that was romancing him, and the close shots of their 'bakassi', the guy touching the lady's bum) the video was quite okay.

There was really no need for the naked lady; it didn't flow with the concept, it added absolutely nothing.

deletrue: You know what? You and your likes especially Deep Sight should trace your ways as to how and why you are the way you are? On a straight to the point basis, you need medical examination on your brains. Many may have mistaken you for a normal humans for the fact that you have all the features. But evaluating your comments, not only indicate that you have hereditary problems. less than two years in office in office is, according to you people, just enough to cleans nigeria's problems? It simply means. with you reasoning this ways, nigerians is heading no where! Your generations will head towards final finish as long as you live the way you are. I pray that you and your likes in this forum may hence forth be straightened. Amen.
You're simply pathetic. Its actually people like you with that blind, zombie-like, highly destructive, parasitic sycophancy that makes defending GEJ for the few commendable projects he has undertaken very, very difficult. I asked a question earlier why there seems to be that inexplicable hatred for GEJ. I can now see some reasons.

And you had the audacity is 'pray' for him? Some of his comments may not be called for, but your response wicked and appalling.

You and likes are true enemies of Nigeria.Those that seek the retention of the status quo. Those whom GEJ should actually avoid.

If only he would listen.

gboss4sure: No one has a hard reason for hating on GEJ. Since subsidy has noit been removed how many people know how much that's been stolen from us in the name of subsidy. You talk of GEJ dealing with corruption, tell me why past government didn't deal with corruption. It seems lots of Nigerians don't know what's going on in Nigeria, will GEJ do the work of the police and efcc. The people that kills corruption cases in Nigeria are the police and the efcc backed by the so called cabals. You guys should start discovering the people holding Nigeria hostage and stop blaming GEJ for every shit that happens. He is just 1 person against how many people, check for yourself.
@bolded, I had a similar impression.

However I strongly disagree with the rest of your post, especially the point about him just '1 person against how many people'. Really? the GCFR is just one person in the midst of about 1 hundred million??

The truth is with such immense power and influence at his disposal, if he's really committed to making a change, the results will be visible for all to see. We don't of course expect magic, but he must be the driving force.

Pardon my slight digression:

If one should take a critical and dispassionate look at the points listed as his sins, you actually have to wonder why so much vitriol has flowed unabated in his direction such that he earned the distinction - not a flattering one, by a long shot - of the most cursed president in history.

Lets face it, did the others before him fare any better? Were they reviled as much?

There seems to be something about him that brings the blood pressure shooting dangerously high. Whether it is really based on his sins or something inherently dislikable about him. . .well you decide.

I voted for him, BTW, and yes do indeed feel incredibly let down by his actions and/or inactions so far.

Well back to topic:

His biggest sin so far should be his obvious lukewarmness towards curbing corruption. You read about such mind-boggling revelations of graft daily involving colossal sums of money, yet nothing happens. . . angry angry

ypzilanti: Let me ask this question: What exactly is the job of SERVICOM? I think SERVICOM should spend less money in erecting signboards and doing television adverts, and actually visit and inspect government institutions to ensure the citizens are getting good service.

The idea of SERVICOM is a good one, but it needs a good and no-nonsense leader who will give the agency the same kind of reputation that Dora gave NAFDAC. As kids we never knew NAFDAC existed. It was the active nature of Dora that made the institution a household name.
Servicom is dead and buried.

Wande Cole's video was the height of female objectification. D-prince's and Flavour's are nothing more than soft p.orn. AS for the other Psquare, well. . .

I may not totally agree with the move by NBC, but the bottom line is that they are paid to do their job. And their job they did.

Those who feel unfairly treated should take it up at the courts.

PoliticsRe: Other Governors Visit Chime In London (with Picture) by plendil: 10:24am On Jan 23, 2013
well the newspapers think it is current. Below is taken from The Nation Newspaper:

WITH mixed feelings, Enugu residents yesterday received the news of Governor Sullivan Chime’s appearance in London.
Since September 19, last year when he was last seen in public, Chime’s whereabouts has been a subject of controversy.
Newspaper reports said yesterday that Chime was in London seeing an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) expert. And yesterday, a photograph of a Governors Forum delegation visiting Chime in London was released.
The picture, which many residents were yet to see, deepened the controversy over his whereabouts and health. Some were joyous that the governor’s whereabouts had been established. Others remained unconvinced, electing to wait for today’s newspapers.
In the picture, Chime is seen discussing with Benue Governor Gabriel Suswam and Akwa Ibom Governor Godswill Akpabio. Governors Forum chair and Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi is with them.
The governors, pictured in an unnamed London Street, are decked out in winter jackets. Chime on whose face a faint smile seems to be playing, has his two hands in the dark jacket’s pockets. He has on a pair of blue jeans, a muffler round his neck to stave off the biting cold. His Excellency is wearing his usual low cut but his trade mark mustache seems to have disappeared.
None of the governors was available for comments last night. A source said they may have been on their way to Nigeria.
What ails Chime? When will he return? The questions remained unanswered last night. He is said to be seeing an ENT expert, Prof. Paul O’Flynn, of 9, Harley Street Clinic, London.
A report in The Guardian said he had been discharged from Wellington Humane Hospital, Swiss Cottage, London on November 21, last year after successful surgeries for an undisclosed respiratory illness.
A physician at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Dr. Bamisile Tunmise said last night that a patient may require surgery if he has an infection of the lungs.
Bamisile said surgeries could also be performed on a patient, if he is suffering from pleural effusion (water pleural space) and lung abscess.
On the connection among ear, nose and throat, he said from any of the three, a chronic infection could spread to other contiguous parts of the body.
“Infection can spread from the ear to the brain, causing meningitis and brain abscess.
It can spread from the throat to the upper airway, which is part of the respiratory system. This can result in rheumatic heart disease,” Tunmisesaid.

You've attempted to bring what is a heinous and unspeakably barbaric crime against humanity, committed by some of the most despicable humans on earth within the realms of something any sane man could do given the opportunity.

That is deeply offensive. angry angry

Research has shown that men that carry out such crimes have psychological problems and deeply rooted insecurities usually associated with childhood. The plan to rape their unfortunate victims is rarely a progression from cat-calling or whistling, it is almost always conceived from the very beginning.

You say rapists appear normal? No kidding!!! I was of the impression that hardened criminals, serial murderers, etc all wore red caps on Mondays and Thursdays and blue ones the rest of the week!!

So a man tries to woo a lady and she rebuffs him, and then the next step is to force himself on her?? Were those the kinds of men you grew up with? GET ME RIGHT THEY ARE NOT NORMAL!!!

Wallie: "Each other" is not wrong...here's something you can work with:

A and B do have a cordial relationship with each other.
A and B do have a cordial relationship each with the other. (This version is more formal)
yes , but it is still restricted to only two people, groups etc.

It would be wrong, for instance, to say A, B and C have a cordial relationship with each other.

Em-my:
Power = IV
Do you know that the voltage supply of PHCN is sinusoidal in form and the voltage is given as:
V = VoSINE2pieFt = VoSINEwt
Vo > max value or amplitude of the voltage
2pieF=w=angular velocity
F= frequency of the generating power plant (50Hz in Nigeria)

Io=Vo/R . . . . . The peak current
Vo=Io/Rsinwt

"low current", is infact more correct (but I don't use it because not all Nigerians are science-oriented)
What thehuh

Like I said previously, low current is not technically wrong, but it is the result and not the cause of the dim light bulbs we observe. The difference in potential between the two ends(voltage) is too low to drive the electrons(current). By the time you disconnect from PHCN and switch to your generator what do you observe? The bulb brightens! and what has changed? THE VOLTAGE!
