tundesto: It happened to me last year while coming from Redemption Camp along Lagos-Ibadan Express way. We had finished the programme which ran overnight around 4am and started the journey to Ibadan. On our way, I slept off in many occasions] and woke up again while on wheel. I rinsed my face with water, it didn't work. I thank God no car was on the way each time.Na wa O!! thankfully I've never experienced it, though I hrd its common with transporters. Lord help us |
platinumricky: The XC90 doesn't have a 'V6' option. It has two 'straight-5' engine options (one is a petrol while d other is a diesel). Two petrol 'straight-sixes' are offered and a yamaha built V8 , bringing the total number of engines offered for the XC90 to 5. A V6 has two banks of 3 cylinders on either side while 'a straight' or 'inline 6' has its cylinders arranged longitudinally...straight sixes are smoother than V6s in operation. V6s are compact in dimension and can be 'squeezed' into small engine compartments. A V8 has 2 banks of 4cyls on either side, a V12 has two banks of 6cyls on either side. These are just the basics..So which one is I5? Is it that there are 3 facing up and 2 down ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ?? |
I suspect foul play. Like Femi said you could accompany him the spare parts shop next time. or better still why not take it to Toyota worksop to have it scanned? |
lol! I heard they were just hoodlums. Who would have though they party members |
It funny how they all claimed to have been introduced to the act by someone else. This flies in the face of claims by some morapockers that homos are born that way. cretinous, poo-infested, child molesting faggotts ![]() |
Orikinla: Only fools fish in troubled waters full of sharks. So the doctors are fools abi, iidoit like you. They were there rendering selfless service to humanity, in line with the ethics of the profession. I just cannot wonder what level of barbarism. . . |
very sad. This is the second time in less than a month that health workers are targeted in the north. What exactly is it with those barbaric imebciles?? |
lil kim is insane |
Hemanwel: Non-profit making organization? How they gon' pay me?They are funded by donor agencies, eg USAID, CDC, Global fund, etc But don't worry about how you'll be paid, I can assure money is not a problem. Your concern should be getting the job! |
welcome to the NGO world guys!! Pay is quite okay, though not as fantastic as it used to be. Much of the experience being sought is usually in the HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB field. If you have done any work in any of the aformentioned, even if its volunteer, and even if its not up to the requisite number of years, I would encourage you to apply. |
Billyonaire: Even Obama can not run Nigeria, the way it is mangled with defective Constitution and Federal Character syndrome. Another reason that Obama can not rule Nigeria better is because we are very ignorant of the duties of a President and that of a Governor. We almost always want GEJ to be the one to buy transformer for our streets and repair our backyard Roads. Obama can not rule Nigeria because our past Presidents did absolutely nothing right. We have been ruled and misruled by egocentric and militarily back-grounded ignorant fellows who found their way into Politics. GEJ is the best President Nigeria ever had. He would have done better if he was President of an Organized Country like the USA.What exactly have Nigerians asked for? welfare an security, that all! Is it really such a impossible task given the resources at our disposal? |
alala dakosta: my problem is,when falconet impress, nobody is their to reward them, sad thing is they've been consistent eversince i know them at least in the african stage.only our super eagle na him dem dey take money entice to perform.SMH.sorry babe, its a man's world!! ![]() BTW, how many people actually watch Falcon's matches? |
where's the rest of the picture?? |
klas: He does not earn traveling allowance unless he travels. Since he does not travel everyday of the month, you cannot just multiply by 30 days.I really wonder with some of the toddlers parading this thread. How can any rational person expect 25k to take care of all expenses? In my organisation (an NGO) we receive between 15-75k allowance, depending on your rank, per night and its usually known as per diem allowance; others call it incidental allowance or inconvenience allowance. Flight tickets, hotel bills, local transportation, etc are all taken care of by the company. It is line with standard practice anywhere in the world. When on official duty, you're always given some allowance to cover any unforeseen exigency that may arise. One is not expected to use one's personal money for it. |
when ya gotta go, ya gotta go!! ![]() BTW was it no1 or no2? Its difficult to tell. . . ![]() |

patimore: And when did Akpabio become Enugu's state commissioner of Information? Rubbish.it beats me hollow. ![]() |
The proceedings, as far as he's concerned is simply as waste of time. He's obviously well aware of the inevitable outcome--his exoneration, of course--so he might as well pass the time doing something far more useful--sleeping. |
As part of activities to mark this movement or is it idea, I present to you this interesting article from me good friends at the BBC. Happy reading.why the tongue? |
Jucol: The Manual has information on all the Fluids- engine oil, transmission/gear oil, greases, coolant etc..... every relevant info YOU may need. I have three hard copies that have been very useful. Renault Laguna 1994- 2000. Citroen and Nissan Primera 90- 99 models.Pls how did you get the hard copies? All I've come across are online copies which reqiure some form of subscription |
does anyone still fall for the yahoo hoax? |
musKeeto: Funny thread.. Amala vs pizza? Private ve public? What is particularly shocking is that a majority of those ready to lay down their life in defense of the guy actually reside and work abroad. Is it conceivable that a worker in a London High court, right before his clients, brings out plate of food and begins to relish it contents there and then, citing hopelessly inane excuses, the type being bandied on this thread, to wit: too busy, very hungry, the crowd was too much, no time, etc, etc ![]() ??Silly people. |
Here we go again. Now, just for the records, let me clearly state I'm not in anyway affiliated to Redbull and/or I and do not, or intend to, own shares in its company. I do believe there are health concerns related to the use of energy drinks, but its nowhere as frightening as in OP's article--not proven to be so, anyway. In as I'm in support of informing the public about possible hazardous items, I do believe it behooves us to provide clear scientific basis for our concerns and not engage in scare-mongering tactics. NB: I've shortened glucoronolactone to GLU France & Denmark have banned it from the country...Yes, it was initially banned, but France had to capitulate following an intervention by the EU which claimed there was no clear evidence on danger it poses. RED BULL - slow death ...Proof? None. FRANCE and DENMARK have just prohibited it as a cocktail of death, due to its vitamin components mixed with GLUCURONOLACTONE ' - a highly-dangerous chemical, which was developed by the United States Department of Defense during the sixties to stimulate the moral of the troops based in VIETNAM, which acted like a hallucinogenic drug that calmed the stress of the war.Everything here is complete, unmitigated, 100% condensed, 2-a-kobo T-R-A-S-H!!! I don't even know where to begin. . . For a start France (initially) and Denmark banned the drink because of fears the high Caffeine and taurine content, not because of the GLU content. Secondly, the claim that GLU was "developed by the United States Department of Defense. . .blah, blah", is simply laughable. FACT 1: It naturally occurs in the body and is an essential component of connective tissues. http://www.wisegeek.org/what-is-glucuronolactone.htm http://www.cracked.com/article_16785_7-retarded-food-myths-internet-thinks-are-true.html FACT2: The amount of GLU in a can of Redbull is indeed high; said to be about 250 times the normal intake. What does such a large amount mean? Well, for now, nothing. In the words of those who should know: The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has adopted a scientific opinion on two ingredients commonly used in so-called energy drinks. Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA’s Panel on Food Additives and Nutrient Sources added to Food (ANS) concluded that exposure to taurine and d-glucuronolactone through regular consumption of energy drinks was not of safety concern.http://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/press/news/ans090212.htm And in spite of it, in the can of RED BULL you can still find as one of its components: GLUCURONOLACTONE, categorized medically as a stimulant. But what it does not say on the can of RED BULL are the consequences of its consumption, and that has forced a series of WARNINGS...GLU is NOT classified medically as a stimulant. As noted above, it is the component of connective tissues. If the article had said caffeine, then I would have been more sympathetic. 1. It is dangerous to take it if you do not engage in physical exercise afterwards, since its energizing function accelerates the heart rate and can cause a sudden attack.Bland internet rumour devoid of any proof. 2. You run the risk of undergoing a cerebral hemorrhage, because RED BULL contains components that dilute the blood so that the heart utilizes less energy to pump the blood, and thus be able to deliver physical force with less effort being exerted. This is absolutely meaningless. If any agent were to 'dilute the blood', then the direct opposite of what is claimed above would result, i.e a compensatory positive inotropic effect resulting in a increased in cardiac output. Physiology 201! 3. It is prohibited to mix RED BULL with alcohol, because the mixture turns the drink into a " Deadly Bomb " that attacks the liver directly, causing the affected area never to regenerate anymore.Again no solid proof of this. 4. One of the main components of RED BULL is the B12 vitamin, used in medicine to recover patients who are in a coma ; from here the hypertension and the state of excitement which is experienced after taking it, as if you were in a drunken state.Complete trash. However wrote this has no idea of what he's talking about. B12 is NOT used to recover patients in coma. I'm tired of typing jare CONCLUSION. . . |
As laudable as it may seem, I do believe it defeats the purpose i.e preventing rape, since penetration would have occurred. |
