FamilyRe: My Father Dragging My Mom's Property With Me, how the Issue Was Resolved by Prettychild(f): 4:33pm On Apr 18, 2022

https://www.nairaland.com/7080619/father-dragging-moms-property-me

Reading all the abuses I got from nairaland, from fellow nairalanders calling me a bastard, ungrateful son all because I was fighting for what was right and not material things.

My mom before she left us, the properties were passed down to her from her parents,(which some they inherited from their Grandparents) she didn't really have to do nothing a full time house wife.. because only the house rents alone she receives from tenants a year from different buildings kept her okay.... some were used for my education, I was made to understand here on nairaland that those properties belong more to my dad, so he can sell it out any way he deem fit... since he married her,. Even though they are ancestral properties.

But, I still don't agree....

So I reported my father to the most senior man in my mother's kindreds, from her father side. I went there on Saturday evening and narrated everything to him...the first thing he said was

YOUR FATHER NOR FIT (in our native language)

He was so angry that he had to call another man and told him everything on the phone, I went back to my house..... and got a call Sunday afternoon to come back around, to my surprise I saw my father there with lots of extended family members and they gave him a stern warning not to try anything funny with those lands.

That our trybe don't sell family lands, house.. inherited property.. that what even gave him the right to think about doing something like that in law for that matter... while my mom has a son...they even said I as the son can't even sell those lands talkless my father.

They ask him, if it was financial issue that gave him that thinking, at first he wanted to deny about selling before he admitted it...my father is not poor, a retired nnpc staff receiving his pension steadily.....he just likes having a lot of money to spend anyhow.... and seeing those lands available he thought he could sell them... but the family proved him wrong and there's nothing he can do about it.

I haven't called my mother kindreds from my my mother side, still observing.. while we Left the meeting, my dad was cold all through..I know he must have narrated to some of his educated friends..let's see if he will take this to court.

This doesn't have nothing to do with me again, but with my mothers kindreds.
In law, your father has no right to sell your mother’s property, the law looks at it as him holding it in trust for her

CareerRe: Top 10 Highest Paying Federal Government Jobs In Nigeria & Salaries by Prettychild(f): 4:07pm On Apr 11, 2022
simeonine:
Are you looking for the highest-paying federal government jobs in Nigeria? Federal government jobs are highly sought after because of the job security over private-sector jobs. Additionally, federal government workers enjoy bonuses and perks such as pensions, vacations, etc. So it’s no wonder you are asking this question.

This article covers a list of the top 10 highest paying federal government jobs in Nigeria, their salaries, eligibility requirements, and how to apply. With this information, you can decide which suits your situation and start setting your priorities straight. Also to be discussed are the best paying federal agencies in Nigeria.

Let’s get started!

#1. Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
NNPC Average Monthly Salary Range
First on our list of highest paying government jobs in Nigeria is the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Founded on the 1st of December 1977 after the merger between the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel and the Nigerian National Oil Corporation, the NNPC is arguably Nigeria’s best paying federal government agency.

They are Nigeria’s official petroleum industry, and they oversee the Federal Government’s oil and gas relations both within and outside the country. Since Nigeria’s economy predominantly depends on oil, petroleum plays a vital role. Hence, the oil and gas sector workers are naturally some of the highest-paid government employees in Nigeria.

The NNPC regulates the joint venture arrangements between the Federal Government of Nigeria and multinational oil companies like Chevron, ExxonMobil, Agip, Schlumberger, Texaco, Total S.A, etc. Their headquarters is situated at the NNPC Towers in Abuja (FCT), and they have an international office in London.

They also have zonal offices in some of the country’s major states and cities like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna.
NNPC workers are reported to earn the following average salaries:

Interns ₦18,000 – ₦30,000
Entry-level staff ₦180,000 – ₦350,000
Sales manager ₦300,000 – ₦450,000
Economist ₦350,000 – ₦500,000
Experienced staff/manager ₦500,000 – ₦1,000,000
Human Resources Analysts and Well Operations Superintendents earn up to ₦665K and ₦1.4m monthly, respectively.

#2. Bank of Industry (BoI)
We can’t have a list of top paying federal government agencies in Nigeria without the reputable Nigerian Bank of Industry (BoI). They have a long-standing rating as one of Nigeria’s highest-paying federal government parastatals. BOI is the oldest and the largest Development Finance Institution (DFI) presently operating in Nigeria. The BOI is jointly owned by:

* The Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) Nigeria, holding over 94.80% stake
* The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), holding a 5.19% stake, and
* Private shareholders with 0.01% stake.

BOI is a significant agency under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment. The bank offers entrepreneurs and organisations looking to establish small, medium, and large-scale monetary aid projects. By funding industrial projects in major sectors of the economy, they encourage businesses, youth entrepreneurship, and other projects for Nigeria’s benefit.

BOI Average Monthly Salary Range

Analysts ₦240,000 – ₦350,000

#3. Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), established by the CBN Act of 1958 but started operating by December 1st, 1959, is another federal government agency with a high staff salary structure.

It is the apex financial regulator in Nigeria charged with the obligation to maintain its external reserves, promote a stable economic environment to the economy and serve as a financial adviser to the Federal Government.

The CBN keeps a close guard of their affairs, and their salaries are purposely shielded from the public.

However, we did some findings, and these are the average salaries the CBN pays its worker.

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Average Monthly Salary
Graduate Trainees ₦43,000 – ₦50,000
Entry-level staff ₦120,000 – ₦122,000
Loan officers ₦573,000
Data Analyst ₦647,000
Branch manager ₦732,000

#4. Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA)
NIMASA is another one of the highest paying federal government jobs. Getting a job with the agency is not particularly easy. It was established in 2006, and they are saddled with the responsibility of regulating the Nigerian shipping industry, coastal waters, and maritime labour alongside the Nigerian Navy.

They also conduct inspections and carry out search and rescue services with the Navy. Like the CBN, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) are also quite secretive about its salary.

NIMASA Average Monthly Salary Structure
Entry-level staffs ₦100,000 to ₦150,000
Grade Level 7 (step 1) ₦90,000
Grade Level 8 (step 1) Up to ₦103,988

#5. Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS)
A job at the FIRS is a dream for many graduates. FIRS staffs collect, supervise, and record taxes. In addition to their lucrative salary, FIRS staffs enjoy many allowances and benefits, and their job security in the agency is guaranteed.

Factors like the job position, the level or grade, and the years spent in service determine how much a permanent staff at the agency is paid.

FIRS Average Monthly Salary Structure

#7. The Nigerian Military
The Nigerian Military consists of the Nigerian Army, Airforce, and Navy. Salaries in the military are paid based on ranks. Joining any branch of the Nigerian military as a commissioned officer will see you earning higher than a non-commissioned officer.

Who is a Commissioned Officer?
A commissioned officer is an officer who commenced his military career by gaining admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) for special training and courses or one who after completing his higher education (University or Polytechnic) obtained, passed, and successfully completed the training and courses of the Direct Short Service Course (DSSC).

Anyone who falls into any of the categories above will be commissioned after completing his training and courses. Commissioned officers have more legal responsibilities than non-commissioned officers, therefore they hold higher ranks and are paid more.

Who is a Non-Commissioned Officer?
A non-commissioned officer simply put, is a military officer who has not pursued a commission. They obtain their position of authority by promotion through the listed ranks. Non-commissioned officers are divided into Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCO) and Senior (or staff) Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCO).

Many Nigerians see non-commissioned officers as those without the needed academic qualification to advance into the Commissioned ranks. But this is untrue. There are hundreds of non-commissioned officers who possess the needed academic qualification but have to settle for the lower cadre because of circumstances like unemployment, influence, etc.

Now let’s look at the estimated average salaries of each branch of the Military.

#9. Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC)
The Nigerian digital space is a rapidly growing economy with monumental improvements. This growth has made the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) one of the highest-paying government agencies in Nigeria.

The commission was established in 1992 and it has since then coordinated the emergence and development of telecommunications industries in Nigeria. Like other government parastatals, the NCC salary is determined by qualifications and level of experience. Besides the salary packages, staff are also entitled to allowances and bonuses.

Average Monthly Salary Structure
Apart from the bonuses, an entry-level staff in NCC is said to earn at least N120,000 monthly.

Depending on your skill and experience, you can earn up to N380,000 monthly.

#10. Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA)

I doubt they will ever be affordable. As inflation rises, so does the fees.
It would, that’s because there are private schools and there are private schools. Some private schools fees is as low as 30,000 while some are up to a million plus. The end result is that they all will still sit for the same WAEC. Mr A goes to the one he can afford so also Mr B. So with increase in supply of private schools around the lesser the demand for public schools.

People just think University na secondary School nowadays

Once they build adminstrative block add like three unit block of classroom then University don set

Most secondary School are bigger than these private lesson centres
It’s not their fault. When ASUU keeps going on strike what do you expect? With time ASUU will loose its relevance because private universities will soon become affordable for the masses, everybody’s concern will just be the certificate and not the environment. When you tend to overdo things, you begin to loose your relevance

I've been seeing this girl for the last few months, since early January of this year. Not an official relationship and we haven't really talked about what we are. Not sure exactly how to describe her so I'm just going to use her as a friend in benefit as the description.

There was some emotion in our relationship but it was mostly sexual. I've always been really, really good about using condoms and this is the first time I've ever been in this pregnancy situation.

I'm pretty unsure if I am the father. We had sex about twice a week for the last three months. So I have no clue who she saw or was with nor do I really care to be honest. There is more than a little doubt in my mind if I am the father.

For what its worth she insists I am the father but I don't know. She learned she was pregnant on March 22nd. She Told me on 24th. I immediately encouraged her to get an abortion I've offered to cover it all cost . She said she would think about. Its been almost 2 weeks and no abortion.

I spoke to her this morning and its becoming kind of clear that an abortion probably isn't happening. She is starting to get kind of tired of me pushing the abortion. I don't know what else to do. I'm starting to really get scared I am only 21 and I don't even have a job. I can't afford to raise a child right now and I certainly don't want a family right now. I'm thinking of telling her to reconsider the abortion or take care of the baby alone.

What do I do now?
Never commit abortion because trust me, you will never remain the same again. It’s so sad that someone at the age of 21 is into sexual immorality. You just need to brace up, when the child is born, conduct a DNA test to be sure it’s yours.

You didn't even try to seduce her or do pre-intimacy to create a mutual feeling.

You just carried her to the bed because you saw boobs.

The dragging her trouser part is considered rape, if she had shouted, you will be accused of rape.

Next time, if a girl sits on your lap even after she becomes flirty. Give her a kiss to test the waters, then her reaction will tell you if to escalate the situation or not.
In as much as I condemn this act by the guy, under the law, rape is when there is actual penetration with the penis, every other thing that falls short of this, falls under sexual molestation or indecent assault.

NYSCRe: ‘Corps Member Wearing Skirt Not In Our Camp’ — Oyo NYSC Reacts To Viral Video by Prettychild(f): 9:55pm On Mar 24, 2022
UDOKABESTLUV:
Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Oyo State has debunked a video making the rounds that a female corps member was wearing a long white skirt instead of the standard white shorts at the orientation camp, Iseyin.

Photos and Videos sighted by show a female corps member wearing white and khaki skirts at one of the NYSC orientation camps.

Assistant Director, Press and Public Relations Unit, NYSC, Oyo State, Mrs Olatoye Christy, in a statement, said that no such corps member was present at the orientation camp, adding that every corps member is abiding with the rules of the scheme.

"The attention of the management of the NYSC Oyo State has been drawn to the video that has gone viral in the social media showing an unidentified corps member that was purportedly spotted in NYSC Oyo State camp wearing a long white skirt instead of the conventional white short," she said.

It is important to set the record straight that the scene was never captured in Oyo State camp. Corps members are mandated to always put on the white T-shirt and white shorts as their uniform in camp and there was never any corps member who refused to comply with the NYSC dress code whether based on religious belief or any other reason.

“The NYSC camp is a regimented setting and no individual can be allowed to behave contrary to the rules and regulations guiding the orientation exercise. The general public is hereby advised to disregard the video as a scenario in Oyo camp as such never happened in the permanent orientation camp, Iseyin."

The truth is that when you love someone truly and deeply, you become clingy, addicted and insecure... especially if you've not worked on yourself in that regard.

A person who loves deeply can as well hate to kill... they can be blind to reason and logic and can even hurt the one they love If the one they love fails to keep simple relationship assurances.

A guy killed his partner because he caught her pants down with her employer making out in his office.

A lady silently drugged and killed her fiancee for cheating.

Love is a lot of work. It is not easy to say you love someone... be careful the type of love you allow to lead u into any relationship or marriage.

If a guy loves u too much as to be clingy, insecure, addicted to you, you must be careful. Same applies with the ladies too.

There is something called, the other side of love.cheesy
If all these applies, then that is not true love. True love is without side effects as written in 1Corinthians 13:7. Anything outside this, isn’t love but obsession

Parents have a strong point in their kids life irrespective of their decision being right or wrong but heaven always respect their wish or do you think u can love a young person more than his/her parent?
Her moves might not be right but there is no underestimating parental strong influence which is usually out love.
Bros na lie, not all parental influence is done out of love, some are done out of jealousy. Let’s leave matter joor, I don’t want to start saying some things. All I know is that children will outlive their parents so don’t allow them to make decisions for you that will ruin your lives cos they won’t be there at the long run

Lol comrade u are very funny.. is it Obama or American Congress that is legitimizing LGBT ? Ok if it is him .. why didn't Donald Trump tell Congress to repel the laws and throw it down cesspits .. Abeg make we try get sense na. In as much as I agree Obama didn't do so much for Africa as we expected him to do .. but we shdnt forget he was the first black man in that countries more than 200 years democracy to occupy the symbolic * White house* that was named and occupied by whites since it's creation.. so it won't be easy for him to do all the magic we wanted him to do .. ok
Lol! If he had wanted to make a change, he would have. We Africans always like blaming someone for our actions or inactions.

No abeg, he is not the Obama of Africa, we don’t want to start dealing with LGBT issues, there are other germane issues bedeviling Anambra that he has come to look into.
