I am always happy when i hear people taking extra steps to have not only good health but also an overall improvement in their body composition. Point of correction here, having a big abdomen is not genetically predisposed. High intake of calories without expending them causes overall weight-gain with pot-belly inclusive. Now to your questions. Since you have a pair of dumbbells, u can do the dumbbell curls, dumbbell flyes. But to make that stomach flat, you have to watch what you eat. Cut down on alcohol consumption drastically, avoid taking surgary drinks take water instead,minimize your carbs intake and increase your protein intake. Do some cardios like 3 times in a week like brisk walking,jogging,skipping the ropes. Do the weight-lifting exercise like 3 times in a week with 2 days rest interval in between. Since you are still a beginner, minimize the number of sets and reps. U can go for 5 sets of 10 reps for the dumbbell curls and 4 sets of 10 reps for dumbbell flyes.Do not push urself too much. Take it steadily and slowly and with time you will begin to see your strength rise as well as your muscles. you must have those visible abs on your abdomen. |

I will be sharing some tips on how to look ripped and well-defined. Most bulky guys i have come across both on the street and in the gym are not ripped at all. Although they have muscles but the muscles are well covered with body-fat and as such those guys appear to be "fat". When you even take a close look at their midsection( abdomen), it usually appears protruded and lacking in muscle tone. WATCH OUT |

Are you an ectomorph? How often do you rest after training? What exercises are you doing to develop your pecs? Are you always undergoing stress? |

Follow what you think you know but also remember it is not quantity but quality in strength-training. At least, i am a living example. |

Very true. This write-up is really informative. Truth be told, it is very difficult for one to avoid these foods. What i always advice anyone that cares to listen is this. Eat all these foods in moderation most especially those saturated-fat laden foods. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. My family has bypassed this stage by cultivating our garden of fruits and vegetables without application of fertilizers. Please avoid all these fast-foods, those stuffs kill faster than tobacco smoke. Have you guys noticed the high increase of low libido and sexual weakness? The reason cannot be far-fetched. Please do not forget to exercise. |

This is really hard-work. Which nigerian has the time to be calculating calories of food? I would advice anyone wanting to loose weight to minimize the portion of food consumed and also eat healthy diets like beans, fish, lean cuts of chicken and turkey without the skin, plantain, nuts, fruits and vegetables. And above all exercise, exercise and exercise because it is very important. |
