PoliticsRe: See The Bad & Very Dirty Condition Of Major Road & Central Town Of Aba (Photos) by proeast(m): 3:29pm On Aug 13, 2018
Black people naturally like dirtiness, no pun intended. To worsen matters, we even take pride in it by saying things like "dirty no dey kill black man"! I personally rebuked one man who was throwing banana peels out of the window of a bus and unto the road today!? We really need serious reorientation and radical change as a people or else we will continue to go in circles. This picture in its dirty and disgusting repulsiveness is not unique to Aba, and I can tell you it's a common site in virtually most if not all the cities and towns in Nigeria cry cry From Aba to Ibadan, Onitsha to Kano, Benin to Oshogbo it is the same disturbing story. It is still the same irresponsible mentality that would make the government to build markets or schools without functional restrooms. It is the same irresponsible mentality that would make people to urinate on the road side or to defaecate in nylon bags and fling it anywhere they feel instead of going to the restrooms. If you even see where market women dump their vegetables and fruits when they close in the evening, I bet you, you won't be comfortable buying vegetables and fruits in the market again cry cry I have seen where some were kept beside very dirty gutters, sewage pipes and soakaways shocked shocked
Smh, I just tire for the black race.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Is A Security Disaster Under Buhari By Jude Ndukwe by proeast(m): 3:11pm On Aug 13, 2018
It beats my imagination how we expect this unfortunate country to work when primitive Neanderthals are the ones ruling. Even in the next 100 years, Nigeria will still remain a dent on the Blackman and an embarrassment to Africa. Madness is doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different results!? The only two things that can save Nigeria and it's beleaguered people are to either restructure into a confederacy or total break up, anything else will be akin to applying cosmetic surgery on full blown cancer.
Even if nothing is done, and we pretend that all is well and continue with the status quo, sooner or later, the country will still explode on our faces with drastic consequences!
If only others, especially in the South can challenge the status quo just like the Igbos are doing, believe me, the Fulanis would have no choice than to accept restructuring but it appears like some people are comfortable with the crumbs they are getting rather than going for a full course meal.

CelebritiesRe: Lebanese Barber Refuses To Cut Mary Remmy's Hair In Lagos - Jason Njoku by proeast(m): 8:08pm On Aug 12, 2018
Lol, just imagine. Ordinary Lebanese!? I don't know if it's just because of our high poverty levels or our black skin pigmentation that is making every Tom, Dick and Harry to look down on us. Even brown people like Lebanese and Indians would still want to discriminate against us and to worsen matters, on our home soil. This was how one Lebanese club owner slapped our typist at my former place of work at Burma road, Apapa. Her offense was that she couldn't type his documents and tickets on time. We immediately threw him out and rough handled seriously while he kept shouting "Meshnini, meshnini" whatever that means. That bargar should be deported to Beirut Asap!!

Afonjas are very tribalistic in nature, tufiakwa!! Just look at how they keep mentioning Davido as the one topping when P square on the same tally but they chose to feign ignorance on that because they are Igbos. The truth is that Psquare are the biggest artists to emerge from Nigeria yet and they opened the doors for the rest to emerge on the global scene.
I just hope that one day Psquare brothers will reconcile because Africa and indeed the world is really missing them. I see Tecno also making exploits in no distant time.

CareerRe: Is This True About People Working In Lagos? by proeast(m): 4:08pm On Aug 11, 2018
That's the bitter truth! Many guys have been working for donkey years in Lagos with no achievement. Some will just buy a car to camouflage while the rest goes to eating and paying rent. Even Abuja is still the same except you are connected with politicians one way or the other. I left Lagos back to the East in 2013 and that was one of the best decisions I've taken so far. I don't think I would have achieved what I have now if I had remained in Lagos.

Organs:
Bros, the problem you have and so many of you easterners is the we are better than them syndrome. You think you are better than the rest. This is absolute nonsense. Nigerians, Ghanians all do wonderful things. As good as Okocha is, he is nowhere near George Weah or Abedi Pele in terms of achievement. As good as Emeka Anyaoku was no Nigerian has reached the level of Kofi Annan of Ghana, I personally have Chukwu Emeka Ike as my favorite author and i love Chinua Achebe, but it was Wole Soyinka a yoruba that won the highest prize in Literature with a nobel prize, so, stop boasting and showing any superiority, God gives whatever gift to whoever he wills. No tribe is superior to any other.
Fallacy, in as much as you may want to play to the gallery and pander to emotional whims, the reality is that all races are generally not at the same pedestal. Several researches and studies conducted globally by sociologists and scientists have proven that beyond every reasonable doubt. It was proven that the Aryans of Germany, Chinese, Jews and Igbos (the only black ethnic group among them) are naturally more advanced than other races!! You can Google it, it's all over the Internet from diverse credible sources!! It may sound like a superiority complex to you but that's just the reality.
In Europe for instance, the Germans are naturally more advanced than the Poles. In Asia, the Chinese are naturally more advanced than the Nepalese. In Africa, the Igbos are naturally more advanced than the Hausas and that is the reason why they excel in virtually every index like education, sports, commerce, entrepreneurship etc. You may argue that why is the East not advanced since Igbos are naturally advanced but the answer is state induced stagnation!! If Igbos are to have Biafra or at least be semi autonomous, you will certainly see the difference and the best Igbos can do under Nigeria is to excel individually while still remaining stagnated collectively. Well Igbos are no long seeing Nigeria as a barrier but are now moving into other African countries as well as globally. If the tables are turned, and another ethnic group say the Hausas or the Yorubas were to be at the receiving end of state sponsored discrimination as the Igbos have been suffering in Nigeria since the end of the civil war in 1970, do you know how backward they would have been?? Yet Igbos have managed to not only survive but also best those that have held them down!

Chai, I feel so happy yet sad. Igbos are indeed a great people but inhabiting the wrong country that have done everything to reduce them. If only we got Biafra in the 1960's, we would have been competing with other great countries today like Israel, Asian Tigers, China and Europe but look at where we are today, stuck in a retrogressive country that is so 1860 cry cry This is so sad, Igbos/Biafra would have given Africa and the black race a pride of place in the world today.
I love how beautiful and elegant those girls were as they stood on the podium cool cool They did not just make their parents, tribe, teachers and school proud but an undeserving country as well.
I must give my own kids the best training and foundation money can buy.
We Igbos take human resources development serious while our brethren up north take human destruction as a way of life!
Civilized people and barbarian stone age Neanderthals can't live under the same roof and that's why we need to extricate ourselves from them either through semi or absolute autonomy.

W9ell, it was asD if you used me as a case study because I have at least 95% of the qualities you mentioned above. Even when I made my first couple of millions I had to buy land and my friend tried to cajole me into buying a car. Today, that land has tripled in value cool If I had bought the car then it would have become bad and outdated. Delayed gratification is key.
Also, op you did not mention living below ones means and saving the extra which is also very crucial.

[quote author=Mgbadike80 post=70084962]you forgot to add that the price of oil is falling as the world embraces renewable energy. Nigerian economy is finished. [/quote/] Ofcourse, that's already a known fact. Even without that, Nigeria was already doomed with the kind of structural and fundamental problems it has. We are said to be about 180 million people yet rely only on one crude commodity without any value added for forex and survival. We forgot that countries that used oil wealth to become great all have small populations. What is the population of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Gabon, Angola, Kuwait, Qatar etc in relation to their crude oil exports!? Almost all them have population that is less than Lagos state!! The best Nigeria would have done is to allow states with oil to control it while paying certain percentage as tax to FG while every other state is encouraged to survive on what it has while FG augments them with the extra gotten from the tax on oil states. You will see that Nigeria would have long become a real giant. We would have been a net exporter of agricultural produce, manufactured goods, tourism, commerce etc because every part of the country would have been productive rather than lazy and idle. You will be traveling in the north and you will see massive acres of land lying idle. Even the solid minerals are being mined and stolen by foreigners like the Chinese, Indians, Lebanese etc while everyone is fixated on oil money that is not even enough to pay salaries anymore after embezzlements. Are countries without oil not surviving and even doing far better than us? Nigeria as it is like a father who tells all his grown up children to stay at home without working because he is fully employed. Now, regardless of how much he earns, it will never be enough for them and the father would be at risk of dying out of too much stress, but if only he forces all of his children to work while he helps them whenever they have problems beyond their control, you will see that the family will be rich and very buoyant. Nigeria will collapse sooner than later because of the foolishness of the Northern elite who are too lazy, selfish and fixated on oil money while neglecting their region. More terror groups like Boko Haram will spring up in the north, fulani herdsmen terrorism will get worse, Biafran separatists groups will continue to grow in numbers and popularity, militancy threats in the Niger Delta will always be there, Yorubas will continue to feel threatened by the large number of Igbos taking over Lagos and all these are time bombs that will certainly lead to a serious crises.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Are Born Cowards! by proeast(m): 9:40am On Aug 08, 2018
He who does not know where rain began to drench him won't know how to stop it--Igbo adage. Nigeria is suffering from deeply entrenched structural and fundamental problems that can never be overcome except the country is seriously restructured or broken up entirely. Our problems continue multiplying by the day while we keep applying cosmetic surgery, and believe me, in ten years time the situation would be far worse than what we have today.
The real problems lies in the fact that politicians know too well that the masses do not determine who wins elections except Abuja, so their loyalty lies there. That is the sole reason why they can send police and soldiers to use live bullets on protesters and nothing would happen afterwards. These same politicians can easily mobilize illiterate almajiris in their thousands in the north and use them to cause crises when things are not going there way. Same applies to politicians in the Niger Delta who can use militants to cause economic crises if they feel aggrieved and all these happen because loyalty lies to the respective regions rather than the country at large and everyone is fighting to rape the center for personal benefits but such won't be possible if everyone manages it's affairs either autonomously or semi autonomously. Anything else would be chasing shadows and extending the doomsday.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Are Born Cowards! by proeast(m): 9:21am On Aug 08, 2018
2009 post in 2018? Well, regardless, all the things the writer complained about can only happen in real nations and not in mere geographical expression like Nigeria. It can happen in Biafra, Oduduwa, Arewa etc but it can never happen in Nigeria.

Rubbish and worthless news! All noise yet no substance, I think is high time we began to stone these bast.ards for trying to insult our sensibility everytime with all these lies. Do they think we are zombies or what?? They have started talking about Niger bridge again because election is around the corner. A supposed bridge that would be tolled to the last Kobo is now a great favour being done to Igbos!? But they have built bridges and underpass in the north, dry port and river port, speed rail and international airport at Kaduna etc not to talk of nepotistic appointments that favour only abo.kis. Aside his incompetence that is glaring are we to also turn a blind eye to the ongoing terrorism the id!ot of Daura is sponsoring?? I did not go to church yesterday because of PVC and I'm happy I got it.
