How can testing be the problem? Its like a wayward girl blaming shortage of test kits for her undetected pregnancy.
It's your ineptitude that caused the problem.
All testing would have done was to reveal your folly faster.

Hello house, this is my very first post here and I need your advice medically (to the experts and anyone with a similar experience previously). My wife woke up last night and rushed to the restroom to pee, and since then she's been frequenting there. This is her first experience of this kind and it's quite disturbing how this is turning out. The lockdown exercise is limiting our movement and which hospital one can even go. Please, experts in the house, I would appreciate your say and advice. Thanks.

Good Lord!
I don't know what is wrong with your wife, but I know you should be extremely careful resorting to a forum like this for medical advice.
Someone actually diagnosed candidiasis from just frequent peeing! I can only hope you are not the one dashing them likes, because they are about to get you and your wife in big trouble, especially since they are now prescribing Ciprotab(!!) to treat it.

Do yourself a favor, google up candidiasis and Ciprotab, then do a better job of getting competent medical opinion.

Health / Re: Africa Is By Far The Best, Why Isn’t It Being Praised For Coronavirus Results? by proffemi: 2:10pm On Apr 21, 2020
Match never finish, you dey award trophy grin
Let's wait to get out of this mess first, aight?

Gjrich:

RIGHT IS RIGHT AND WRONG IS WRONG.

Why doesn’t the world praise Africa fighting the coronavirus?

Africa always gets the blame for everything wrong, I think many Africans and other people around the world know that and many accept that.

Let’s look at the African statistics on Coronavirus death rates and compare them to the rest of the world and you will see that the fear people (especially Chinese) have of Africans are totally unfounded.

I am starting with the world’s average and after that worst death rates per country, (death rates caused by the Coronavirus, total affected rounded up, actual deaths):

6.64% death rate: Worldwide confirmed cases: 2,064,700, deaths 137,108

16.58% France: 106,200, deaths 17,617

13.11% Italy: 165,100, deaths 21,645

13.06% United Kingdom: 98,500, deaths 12,868

10.41% Spain: 180,600, deaths 18,812

6.09% Brazil: 28,900, deaths 1,760

4.43% United States: 644,300, deaths 28,554

4.06% China: 82,300, deaths 3,342

3.56% Canada: 28,300, deaths 1,010

2.82% Germany: 134,700, deaths 3,804

2.15% South Korea: 10,613, deaths 229

Whilst the world is praising South Korea’s and Germany’s successful “attack” and control of the Coronavirus nobody bothers to look how Africa is doing?

5.38% Africa: 16,200, deaths 873

1.96% Sub-Saharan Africa: 8,100 deaths 159

4.44% Kenya: 225, deaths 10

3.52% Ethiopia: 85, deaths 3

2.94% Nigeria: 523, deaths 19

1.35% South Africa: 2,506, deaths 34

1.25% Ghana: 641, deaths 8

0.91% Ivory Coast: 654, deaths 6

0.63% Senegal: 314, deaths 2

Kenia, Ethiopia and some other countries are within the average ranges of Coronavirus in the rest of the world compared to outbreak and control figures.

But Ivory Coast, South Africa, my beloved Ghana and Senegal are doing far better than the all over-praised South Korea and Germany.

Our North African brothers are already doing far better than France, Italy and Spain, but are pushing the ones average African death rates up.

Sub-Saharan Africa, yes:

Black Africa is doing a fantastic job controlling the outbreak! 1.96% death rate: Just take a look at the figures again.

6.64% World: 2,064,700, deaths 137,108

5.38% Africa: 16,200, deaths 873

1.96% Sub-Saharan Africa: 8,100 deaths 159

And all we hear around the world are demagogic statements about how Africa will be the next Coronavirus hell on earth, how Africa doesn’t have the financial and medical capabilities to control the outbreak, how Africans are spreading the virus and why we have to start testing Coronavirus vaccines on Africans first.

Why are people hiding the facts that, obviously this virus doesn’t survive high temperatures and high humidity well?

Why doesn’t anybody tell the world that Africans are because of their lifestyle and constant exposure to other diseases very strong, healthy people?

Why doesn’t anybody tell the world that always avoiding any exposure to Malaria, Typhoid, Flu, Salmonella and many other things have made the people in developed world the weakest people on earth?

Already, Sub-Saharan Africa is doing great. But just imagine if we could test every sub-Saharan African? That would even put our already good figures (although there is no good in these deaths) much further down.

So why is Africa, even during a dark outbreak of a pandemic, still branded as the world’s shithole (not my words but those of a certain American president) whilst we are doing far better than the rest of the world ?

This is a very interesting question indeed, one that I have given extensive thoughts for some years now.

As a scientist I am not meant to believe in things that cannot be observed directly or indirectly. But as a scientist also I am trained never to doubt the existence or possibility of something just because it cannot be observed. I believe that with advancement in scientific innovation many of the things that we cannot yet 'see' shall become visible. A case in point is the existence of microorganisms which before the 17th century discovery of microscope by Antonie van Leeuwenhoek would have been a ridiculous concept for most people to believe. But now, we do not only 'see' erstwhile invisible microorganisms we can also clearly see subcellular dimensions even up to atomic resolution using spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques.

In the case of dogs, they do not see the full visible color spectrum as do humans. That is perhaps an indication that their sight overlaps with areas of the electromagnetic spectrum that human eyes cannot see. Let me quickly establish this: humans' retina (and ocular system) generally can only see photons whose amplitude and wavelength coincide with the tiny visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum while other parts ranging from the small-wavelength gamma rays to the large wavelength radiowaves can not be detected by the human eye. If then an entity (matter/wave) exists outside of the visible part of the spectrum, then human eye can not perceive it. This however does not mean that entity does not exist. Using the same example, the geometric dimension of unicellular organisms falls outside of the visible spectrum, so we don't see them unless we use aids (microscopes) to magnify them to the point that they can be seen. This also means that it is possible (not impossible) that other organisms (e.g. dog) can see outside of our own visible spectrum making the possibility that they see what to us is invisible, tenable. I firmly believe that at the very zenith of scientific development humans will be able to invent means of seen greater parts of the electromagnetic spectrum and then we might just be able to concretely see the existence of entities that religion and philosophy have labeled spirits.

Cheers.

I like you. A true scientist should never say "never".

But there is another important applicable scientific precept: Occam's Razor. No need to look for an extraordinary explanation for something if a satisfactory simpler explanation exists. Unfortunately for the African in us, grin grin , there is a simpler explanation this time.

And to sort of echo you (as well as show that I do believe in extraordinary ideas): in time, we WILL indeed see more than we do now. I believe in the existence of extra dimensions (although not in the normal spirituo-metaphysical sense!).

Later she stopped but she lied down there. Less than 10 minutes again she stood up like she heard something and started backing again, this time we were concerned, we pointed our torch light at the direction but we couldn't see anything, it was then the old man told us to relax, that the dog knows why it is barking. She probably had seen an evil spirit or witch and as long as she keeps barking, the spirit can't come close.

...

No, dogs don't.

But they can see and hear things you cannot. Unfortunately, the reason is nowhere near as exciting as you'd hope. You see, their eyes are sensitive to portions of the electromagnetic spectrum that ours are not, and their ears can perceive up to 3 times the highest frequencies humans can. It's simple, boring biology.

Very funny. The bolded statement might be true...but to what end? A good example is the huge funds big pharma pump to developing countries in the guise of health NGOs. Do you know what that's all about? It's no fvckin aid, it's part of their cost in testing out their drugs before they submit them to the FDA.

Africa is being used as Guinea pigs but because the budget is so immense, all government officials and country directors who enjoy huge financial benefits from these programs just turn a blind eye. Go read about how India kicked Bill Gates out after it was discovered that his polio vaccines were causing infertility in women. And yes, that Tedross slowpoke who heads the World Health Organization is a bloody Bill Gates stooge. Bill is the highest funder of the WHO after the US.

Look at the Twitter video below and it will tell you a lot about the motives of that Eugenist. You can also click the link below to read about how the slowpoke intends to chip the entire freaking world hiding under vaccinations. You lot need to wake up and stop listening only to mainstream authorities and media. The entire system is rigged.

And where is the evidence you have of their eugenic agenda? You think a few twitter threads and a random website are sufficient to impeach years of public, proven service?

The essence of this write up is to know you can beat a viral infection. Viral infection is not a death sentence but shouldn’t be allowed to progress. Full recovery is also possible if prompt and proper measures are taken.

As far as I'm concerned, you just provided the first evidence of something many of us suspect: that COVID-19 is out there in Naija. I really, really hope you get the antibody test done (so you can confirm).

This is a welcome development but it needs to get to employers of labour as well. They only recruit young graduate of 21. How can a child finish secondary school at age 18 and complete higher education in 3 years?
I am happy with what Lagos state has decided but 11 years is better. The private schools are the main source of this problem. I work in a school where a boy of 8 was admitted into jss1 just because his father can afford to pay the school fees.
My only problem with this directive is how will they enforce compliance? Parents threaten withdrawal in school and force school owners to admit toddlers to secondary school.
There was even a mother that told me upfront that her daughter must leave primary school at age 9. She can't afford to be spending so much tuition in primary school. Then again, the federal government needs to join this to make it work. A parent can easily take their child to Ogun state for admission or any other state. It should be enforced by the federal ministry of education
