tupacjr: This is not entirely right, please confirm information before assuring people. I would like to correct that you cannot use "any person" as a sponsor. There are requirements the person has to meet and this is available per city (I am very aware of the Munich restrictions because I tried to sponsor my friend here). The salary restriction was not an issue for me, but the KVR guy had to explain they can't allow me sponsor her because of the duration of my residence permit. I have a blue card which is valid for four years and is even longer than the program she wants to study which is a 3-year program. He said I need a permit that is valid for at least five years to qualify to sponsor someone for long-stay. This means I need a PR at least from the best of my knowledge because blue card is still the longest temporary visa I know of here (4 years validity). I would like to also clarify that she is already here in Germany self, but in renewing her student permit for a new program she needed to show proof of funds. We got another close person to us who already has citizenship here to help with the sponsorship. I think this applies to your city majorly. The general rule is to have some salary scale and not be in your probation period. |

Savagethe21st: bro most people are aware German companies sponsor visa. Once a job vacancy comes out, within an hour there are over 100 applicants on LinkedIn. And the vacancy might just be for one or two people. If you are the manager how will you filter people? Will you rather spend time interviewing all or just interview those in your country which will save you stress of sponsoring visa The hiring manager will pick the best, sponsoring visa doesn’t cost the company a lot. A lot of people are not good, don’t even know to code, and forget about the LinkedIn counter, it counts everyone who clicked on the job ads, not people who actually applied. Skilled software engineers are scarce… First make sure your CV is solid and stands out. |

Savagethe21st: Hello friends, a I am a software engineer working in a fintech company in Nigeria. From the state of things I have resolved to leave Nigeria but getting a tech job visa sponsorship seems to be a herculean task due to individual country immigration laws and intense competition from other software engineers from various underdeveloped countries. Now I came across the German work Visa but I have several questions which I need clarity on. In short I need guidance from people who have undergone the process.
Question 1: I heard you need a minimum of 5 working years of experience. Can freelancing in tech also count? Question 2: I heard you need proof of fund in a blocked account. How is that done and how easily can I retrieve my money if the process doesn't go through. Question 3: how long does getting an appointment take(I heard to get a student visa appointment takes 14 months Question 4: How easy is it to get a job in Germany within the six months. Can I also apply to jobs vacancies written in German while I indicate I am currently learning GERMAN.
Please contribute or tell some one who can to help You have no guarantee of getting a job within 6 months especially when you don’t speak German. Don’t waste your time apply for job ads in German, look for job ads in English. A lot of people got job from Nigeria as a software engineer, this route is your best bet if you are really solid, you must be better than average software engineers. Apply to startups fintech in Germany, improve your CV. |

waice6571: Yes! The info is right, correct and true!... There are ways to go about it but believe me, UK is a small country but has brought in too many people from different countries in the last few years.... They are using people to sustain and survive their unnecessary brexit ideas..... No, I don’t think you are right. “A Graduate visa gives you permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years after successfully completing a course in the UK. You must be in the UK when you apply.” Source: https://www.gov.uk/graduate-visa

waice6571: To get a confirm COS you'll need close to 8m and job is not guaranteed lately.
To change your COS from caregiver to another occupation is about 3m Nigerian naira
You can not get any accommodation anywhere in Liverpool and some other places in England. Average decent accommodation in Liverpool was between 360 and 500 but now above 900.
Post study stay has been slashed to 6months without appeal...
After spending so much money to relocate your family to the UK only to go and be facing challenges greater than what you are running away from in Nigeria.
UK was a good country for relocation untill recently.....
This information is for people who has ears only I don’t think the bolded is right. |

Goztino: Lol, in my own case, I won't blame my father because he doesn't have a car, neither does any of my siblings have. Right now, I have to spend a high amount of money to get the license. Not that I am complaining but sometimes, I wish I already know how to drive before coming to Germany for studies Learning how to drive in not hard, learning to follow the rules is the hard part. Now, you can take driving test with Automatic Cars in Germany. |
Travel › Re: Learn How To Drive In Nigeria Before Traveling Abroad by pseudonomer: 1:04pm On Feb 09, 2023 |
Goztino: Even if you don't plan to buy a car when you travel, I think it is very important to know how to drive especially if you plan to come to Europe precisely Germany. Here is my reason. To get a German drivers license is very tough and expensive. For each 45mins you spend learning how to drive, you will pay atleast #52,000 and believe me, 45mins won't even be enough in one day. Which means, you need over #100,000 to learn how to drive in just one day. Note that the driving instructor will only recommend a practical exam for you only when he is convinced that you are good enough at driving to pass the practical test. Which means the more practial lessons you take, the more money you spend everyday. If you learn how to drive 10days, multiply it by atleast #100,000 daily Now do the calculation. How many days will it take you from the novice level to the level needed to impress a typical German to pass the driving test? This is outside the basic fees you need to pay for 1. First Aid test 2. Registration in the driving school 3. Theory exam registration 4. Practical exam registration etc
And mind you, each time you fail the theory exam you have to register for it again with another exam fee, same with practical exam. Now let me give you small package of how the theory exam looks like. You will have to memorise all the traffic rules (1615 questions and answers) and only random 30 will be selected and you need to score about 28/30 to pass the theory exam. I will still send a screenshot of the typical questions being asked.
After passing the theory exam, then comes the practical exam which requires high driving skills, reverse, parking, driving at night etc. It will be easier and cheaper to get the license if you already know how to drive because it will reduce the number of Minutes for your practical lesson (atleast #100,000 every 90 minutes). The higher the number of minutes spent learning, the higher the fee you pay for the learning. If you learn how to drive in Nigeria, you will still need to pass the take practical exams and theory exams, and I bet you, you have high chances of not passing it twice. |

The difference between human and Animal is that animals will never allow the dumbest in their midst ; mislead them.
The most significant take-away for me in this election period is that it unravelled, unbuttoned, unriddled, exposed lot of mysteries about the mental state of some Nigerians. The deficiency in their reasoning faculty and ability to take, breakdown, consume information before digestion.
SOS. We need help. Oh really? You mean animals are smarter than humans… Yet, no single innovation from the animal kingdom since the beginning of time… |

BlueDuck: Scamming is accepted as a profession within Nigerian society, which is fair enough, considering the level of human & technological development. Afterall, slave trading and ownership was once a legitimate job in American & British societies at some point in their development...
We cannot stop life from happening, we can only strive to make ourselves into better humans whilst we live it Scamming people should never be justified. |
