I agreed with op. What did Ebuka mean about characteristics of a winner? winner has no characteristics,it is the viewers that decide who win. If there is any characteristics,Efe won't have been the winner. What characteristics Efe has that made him winner? It is only viewers that determine the winner. Nelson got evicted over some dumb housemates..that show there is no characteristics.
Chaiiii.....Na dem.
So a winner has no Characteristic?
The viewers decide who will win.
The person the majority of viewers will vote for will have no characteristic.
Even the Efe u mentioned had no Characteristics that attracted viewers to vote for him heavily.

Na waoooo.... many of this same low reasoning abound oooo.

Bbnaija: Ebuka Evidently Expressed His Hatred For Tacha Tonight.

Before we delve into the main issue, a little detour.

So, I made a comment here last week about how heavily hypocritical Nigerians are about this BBNaija show. I only watch the show on Saturdays and Sundays, the parties and eviction shows respectively, and I don't understand why Nigerians are bit*ching so much about it.

All these moralistic, self-righteous people will be asking, "What is the essence of this BBNaija show?" Ogbeni, if you don't want to watch, don't tune in. Don't open threads concerning BBNaija. Submit your IP addresses let me see the kind of por*n y'all are watching. It's distracting Nigerian youths, are they retards? Don't they know they should only in their free time? Who's forcing them to borrow airtime to vote for already-made people?

.........................................................

So tonight, Ebuka was a plain bad show host. This isn't tribalistic cos I'm Igbo, but he didn't do well speaking to Tacha and addressing her like she's a cankerworm in the house.

He showed very clearly how much he hates the girl. Ebuka is allowed to have favorites but not to express favoritism or dislike openly.

He began by saying: "So, Tacha, you know all that's going on in the house. You seem to know who's losing and who's winning. You analyse everything bla bla bla... So tell me three characteristics of a winner,"

As a sharp PH babe, the girl said, "Tacha, Tacha, Tacha..."

Ebuka immediately took offense. In a demeaning way, he asked her, "What is the meaning of characteristics?" The girl said it means something that defines a winner.

He kept asking her the question in a very condescending manner and she kept saying, "Me." The girl even got surprised at a point about how aggressive he was.

Finally, he said, "I expected better," and some other rude statement he made, and moved to the next person.

....................................................................

At the end of the show, he began to shade Tacha very heavily but indirectly, saying that some housemates should know that they are not biggie himself but mere housemates. They should stop trying to know what the viewers want and have fun in the house. That some people here feel that because they have a so-called army outside, they can just sit through the show and win the money...

EBUKA, if you're on Nairaland, You messed up big time tonight putting that girl out there like that and demeaning like she was some slowpoke...

FYI, I want Omashola to win, not even the kain Tacha I'm here defending. I wonder why they didn't punish that Jackie girl for accusing Tacha of witchcraft. They let it slide. Defamation shouldn't be permitted even though it's a game.

Like play like play, na she go win even though she no go carry the money. Just like CeCe.

Good night, Nairaland.
Oga, I think you don't understand this show at all or you are just trying to be controversial.
Ebuka is the Host. Do you know there are Organizers?
Do you also know that there are other team of Panels also watching the show.
Do u realize that even before Ebuka said some certain things that they must have discussed it within the Panel members?

You faulted the way Ebuka started his discussions with Tacha:
He began by saying: "So, Tacha, you know all that's going on in the house. You seem to know who's losing and who's winning. You analyse everything bla bla bla... So tell me three characteristics of a winner,"
I didn't see anything wrong with that. Yes, Tacha has bn acting like Biggie in the house. She will tell u how many people that are voting for her out there and hw she will be the winner. She can speculate or even intimidate but she she not talk as if there is a meeting between her and Biggie. I beliv Ebuka diplomatically told her that she is going out of her bound on some analyses she was making in the house. There are rules guiding this show, though not all of them are spelt out. She should not be allowed to go beyond what she was expected to say. She should rather act smartly instead of talking too much.

Secondly, u said that Tacha answered the question correctly as a PH sharp babe she is.
Oga, if that is ur definition of PH sharp babe, I think you need to do better.
I beliv many PH Sharp Babes will be so much angry with u.

Is that what you called shading? You are judging wrongly oga.
That was an advise even to those that want to toe that line. House Mates are not Biggie and MUST never act like him. Ebuka did not do this cos it was Tacha. He said it cos it was against the Biggie's rules. He may have bn directed by the Panel Team to throw this caution.

So, I don't want to buy that cheap allegation that Ebuka hate Tacha.

Tacha: Tacha! Tacha!! Tacha!!!

Jesu, and to think she brags about being above every other HM Just goes to show she's so full of herself.....

It's a shame, that Big brother would allow an empty head into the show. Only God knows what criteria they use in selecting the HMs[/b]
Forget about the selection criteria. I beliv Big Brother purposely allow some of these self acclaimed Bigger Babes to come to the show, so that they can expose their stupidity to the world. At least, that will humble them a bit.

A man may run away once a girl accuses him of getting her pregnant....yeah, I can agree to dat, but once the baby is born on his name, no matter how hard things are for him or even hw bad he hates the mother of the baby, the man can never agree to dump the baby or even kill the baby.

Rapmoney:
BBNaija And Its Mysterious Selection Process

Every year, thousands of Nigerian youths troop to various audition centres across the country in a fierce and dangerous selection process in order to partake in the Big Brother Naija Reality Show. No doubt, many have lost vital possessions while some sustained various degrees of injuries. I for one, has never been a fan of this show because I'm still trying to figure out what the show is all about and of what benefit it is to the Nigerian youths. It seems the only things promoted on this show are sex, alcholol, party and more sex. Nevertheless, I'd like to leave this aspect for another time. The focus of this article is the selection process for housemates on the BBNaija show.

Why is it that MOST folks who found their way to the BBNaija show seemed to be connected to some notable figures in one sector or the other in Nigeria? Why is that MOST of them had already gotten some degree of popularity before they were selected as BBNaija housemates? Why is it that MOST of them had already gotten some exposure living abroad before they were selected as BBNaija housemates? Is there a secret behind this that we do not know or is it just a coincidence? Some persons might want to point out Efe Ejebah, BBNaija winner 2016 edition as a contrast to my opinion but I believe we can all read. It is the same reason I used uppercase for the 'most' for those who find it difficult reading between lines in write-ups like this very one. If you are good in Statistics and research writing in Social Sciences, you would understand the importance or essence of respondents. If you are not, I will use a layman's language that you would understand better. In a series of occurrences, there is a frequency which happens to be the highest occurrence. When series of events occur, the event/factor with the highest occurrence is used to judge situations.

Now, what are the criteria for selecting people into the house by BBNija organizers? Is it age, fluency in English, wealth, fame, international exposure, educational background, beauty/handsomeness, sultriness or pure connections? Why do we always see people who want to act 'foreign' in BBNaija editions? Why can't we have Nigerian youths from all walks of life in the show? I mean, why can't we have Idemudia, Oghenerukevwe, Olawole, Idris or Obinna who has never tasted the slightest amount of luxury in life ever before? I am sure this category of people take part in the auditions every year. How come most of these housemates have featured in one advert, music video or movie before?

There are so many questions many Nigerian youths do not bother to ask before trooping out every year to take part in the BBNaija auditions which I consider a high profile entertainment scam!!!

Any entertainment show where the selection process is clouded in secrecy and not spelt out absolutely is not worth the stress of right-thinking youths.

Kelvin Ukachukwu (Rapmoney) is a media consultant.
Kelvin, thank you for your observations. I want to beliv u have made a critical one as led by your knowledge.

From the paragraph of your thread, It was glaring that you do not like the programme; Big Brother Naija and this will make it a bit difficult to like whatever they do there. You will dislike their method of selection, the show itself and if care is not taken, the participants themselves too.
I beliv the organizers of this show have their criteria for selection of participants and I also beliv that they have bn consistent in that. With this, I don't see the reason for the many attacks this programme and their organizers are getting.

The show is for some targeted audience. If one thinks that the programme does not satisfy one's audience, I think one should look for alternative programme that will interest him/her.

From what I have seen so far, I beliv the programme is for people that have already started their journey in the entertainment industries. The programme is not mainly for those trying to find their feet or those that are yet to start a career in the entertainment world.
Know it that even if BBN comes out to tell you that they will only accept people that are already in the entertainment industries are ppl that are already celebrities, millions that are not in that category will still want to go and try their luck.

Oga, you also asked why the liks of Idemudia, Oghenerukevwe, Olawole, Idris or Obinna are not in the show. I am wondering why you are advocating for this group of people when you admitted that you don't know the benefit of this show to our youths. You also said that the show promotes immorality. Are you of the opinion that the immorality to also be extended to the ordinary youth in the society. Below is an extract from your thread.
I'm still trying to figure out what the show is all about and of what benefit it is to the Nigerian youths. It seems the only things promoted on this show are sex, alcholol, party and more sex.
I will suggest that we leave the programm for the people it was meant for. One other thing that I have noticed is that, those that criticize this show so much are the ones that even watch it more especially those amorous sessions of the show.

Desmond, let me remind you. Few years ago, what we mostly play in this country are those foreign music(Western and some East African Music).
None of them was banned.
What our indigenous artists did was to strive to compete with them. Their persistent competition was what led to almost extinction of all those foreign music from the country. Now, most of those western world pay heavily to have our artist play in their countries.

Desmond, tell ur colleagues in the Nollywood to compete vehemently with their counterparts in the foreign countries so that our indigenous movies may be at par with the foreign ones and what happened in our music industry will also happen in the movie industry. Stop calling for a ban. That is a weak man's strategy.

You have spoken well but unfortunately, most Nigerian marriages are scam. Just look at the responses on this thread. It goes to show that most Nigerian bred men don't love their wives. There is no love, trust, togetherness in most Nigerian marriages and that is why most Nigerian married folks are miserable and want to pressure single people into getting married so they can join them in their misery club called marriage.

Reading this thread explains why Nigerian widows are so poverty stricken. Their deceased husbands leave nothing for them and the children. And since it is obvious that the average Nigerian male hates women, I wonder why he goes ahead to get married.

Nigerian society is filled with mysogynist men getting married and then raising families where domestic violence, infidelity, hatred for spouse, etc is the order of the day. And then you wonder why Nigeria as a country is so messed up.
When people (both men and women) start marrying out of love rather than the physical things you think you will gain from the person u want to get married to, then marriage negative issues will get reduced.

I know all...infact, my wife told me about all her accounts. I know the ATM PINs. I know where her ATM cards are at any time. Sometimes she gave it to me to hold for her.

She as well know mine and their PINs. She knows where to locate them at any time. She knows my Mobile Bank details.
If eventually anything happens to me now, she won't have any difficulty getting my money out from bank.

Be nice to ur spouse. Live like one soul. Build trust and love and you will ever ready to do anything for ur spouse.
Christianity Etc › American Pastor Speaks On Prophet TB Joshua Using ‘demonic Powers by Psoul(op): 2:14pm On Jul 17, 2019
A female American Pastor, Daphne Patoir, has made a sensational claim on YouTube about controversial Nigerian Pastor, T.B. Joshua.

She insisted she saw the Nigerian cleric ‘in Heaven’ where she was taken during a vision.

Responding to a video alleging Joshua’s ‘powers’ were demonic, Pastor Daphne Patoir shared her ‘Heavenly experience’.

“On Tuesday January 2nd, 2018, I was crying out to God because I wanted to be a follower of Jesus… to serve Him with my whole heart,” she recounted.

“Suddenly, it was as if my body was a barrel and I had fallen to the bottom of the barrel and Jesus replaced me, in my body. I was conscious that my body was sitting in the chair, in our room. We were flying at the speed of lightning,” she added.

The American – who ministers in Georgia with her husband Raynard – explained that she saw multiple ‘demons’ who were screaming out in fear as they seemed like ‘roaches’ before the ‘Holy One’.

“I lost control of my body. I remembered crying and telling Jesus that I was a simple girl from a small town and that the mystery was too much for me,” she vividly described, describing how the experience significantly solidified her faith.

“At lightning speed, Jesus took me into a room passed the second Heaven. As we entered, I saw three gift boxes. One had my name on it, the second one was given to a pastor I know and respect and the third one was given to T.B. Joshua. I saw T.B. Joshua in Heaven receiving a huge gift box,” she remarkably revealed.

Pastor Daphne said Jesus told her to ‘fear not’ when she pleaded that she wished to return to her body.

“I know this might sound crazy but my body wouldn’t allow me access,” she explained when she attempted to return to her body during the vision.

Thereafter, the minister reminisced how after she “saw everything He wanted to show me, my body allowed me in.

“I fell on my knees and I wept. Hours later, I was still trembling. I felt as if electricity was flowing through my body. While this was happening, my husband was sleeping in the bed. He told me that he heard me making unusual sounds and when he tried to get up to wake me, the power of the Holy Spirit pinned him to the bed.”

Daphne concluded with her insistence that Joshua was a genuine servant of God and not using malevolent powers to hoodwink people.

“I saw T.B. Joshua in the presence of God! I fear God; I wouldn’t lie,” she concluded.
