poster is obviously a muslim |
can you imagine! In london where cars are expensive i can get a nice merc! even for half a milli I can get a BMW convertible! Nigeria shaaaa! |
We can more than afford free education I dont know where all this air and gas is coming from. Education has a multitude of benefits and should be viewed as a primary investment rather than an extensive expenditure. In fact its a fundamental human right that should be free worldwide. It doesnt cost as much as most of you are making it and in Nigeria probably costs even less since schools in that country have little or no facilities!! so what exactly are you people saying? Its talks like this that contribute to extensive corruption, negativity towards deploying actual survice convinces the officers that they might as well steal the money. Please if they dont know how to make it happen they should go and employ someone that does, resourcefulness is the no1 trait of any useful leader. |
This is slightly embarassing for the organisation of the country. Does EFCC have thier own police? if so why? They should use the countries police service and if that fails employ the military. I doubt any 1 politiicians security's authority surpsses that! |
It doesnt matter what he has or hasnt done or the gravity of what may or may not be a PR stunt. The main point (which most of you are missing) is that he has sacrificed something he is very much entitled to for the masses. Most og the public administrators wont even sacrifice the public funds they are stealing, for the dying, the hungry or the sick. So this gesture imo is a display of humanity and ones affections for his people. We have a governor refusing to aknowledge minimum wage because he's worried about what may be left of the civil salaries he can invest into his swiss account. Nigerians are very much used to missing out key indications of what is important and this is the reason why the country is 10 times worst than it was 50 years ago. Please respect this man for what he has done and if he fulfils his promises in IMO we should very much encourage himself and the likes of Fashola to aim for presidency. |
seunlayi:tis settled, its all a bunch of hogwash! smh |
Do these people get paid for this or are they volunteers? the former adds my vote to scrap it!!! the latter. . . . not soo much. Lets keep them all in one place and hope they get taken out together ![]() |
does the reduction only count in delta state? i smell a publicity stunt. i'll believe this when momma calls and confirms it!! |
AT LEAST 20 people are reported to have died from an outbreak of gastro-enteritis (cholera) at Ezeukwu community in Bende local government area of Abia State. However, the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Okechukwu Oga, confirmed that only 15 people died and that the situation had been brought under control. Oga disclosed in a telephone interview with Vanguard that those affected had been moved to where there were better medical facilities, adding that there was no cause for alarm as the situation had been brought under total control. According to the Commissioner, the cholera outbreak occurred last Sunday in the community. He pointed out that the casualties were those affected between 3am and 12noon that Sunday before the Ministry of Health became aware and deployed its personnel and medications to control the situation. Oga disclosed that so far, over 70 cases had been recorded with 15 mortalities, assuring that the government had taken adequate measures to ensure that the decease did not spread to other parts of the community. Suspected cause Sources from the community were of the opinion that the outbreak would have been caused by adulterated water, as the community’s major source of drinking water is from a local stream in the area. When the outbreak occurred, most of the victims were said to have been initially rushed to Royal Cross Hospital in the area, owned by the Methodist Church, which then called for government’s assistance. The commissioner advised the people not to panic, assuring that enough medications and personnel had been deployed in the area. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/05/cholera-kills-20-in-abia/
smh to that statement. A whole doctor should know better than to have such disregard for human life |
Actually, it makes perfect sense. Another reason for uniform wage payments across the federation has always been for rural developments. If the state has a lower income, it will have less inhabitants and subsequently less staff. It can still very much afford to pay the minimum wage with no hassle. Since the % difference between the number of civil servants working for the state will equivalate to the difference in income with other states. The lower cost of living will be of benefit to those living in rural areas and discourage the large influx of indigenes to developed states. Its a way to encourage development welbeing and progression so in this sense everyone is a winner. The man is just greedy, he's mad because paying his staff more will mean he has less to swallow! kmt fire the mumu! |
God knows if I was taking over they will never see thier money again! I've said it soo many times these banks and soo called foreign investors should be extremely careful when handing money over to these crooks! They shouldnt pay a penny back unless the investors show exactly what they were investing on, at least this will cut down the amount of meaningless debt we have in that country! |
The only reason why most of them have soo many children anyways is because they are poor and uneducated. If there was an effort made to increase the standard of living of the average Nigerian citizen, population wont even be a problem. In fact its eneficial since yu have more people working and contributing to the economic system. Thats how you KNOW the UN also dont see Nigeria changing for the better anytime soon. Or why else will they be soo concerned if there were too many people in Nigeria? People in Excess are more difficult to control. |
It really isnt as simple as 'almaji problems' the ethnic battles we have is composed of a number of factors. The noks in ghana are equally uneducated but dont wreak havoc like that. Besides I personally know hausa's that are very well to do and have fought ethnic battles as well. Our problem is far beyond illiteracy, we also have illiterate yoruba's and illiteracy is far more deadly in SS, where parents douse acid on thier children because of poverty. Egotistical ideals further divide our society, what we really need is ethnic co-operation so we all eventually understand each other and learn to respect individual cultures. |
Some people think they know everything, do you guys know how much income is generated from those events?? How much tourism ,tv rights, international recognition ,the likes?? How much is the Nigerian government going to MAKE off this nuiscance of a party? You think they spent millions on the prince's wedding for nothing?? Can you imagine the influx of tourists, commercial activities and television rights for it?? Dont be ignorant ,let me tell you the biggest difference between us, the british and american governments KNOW what they are doing, the Nigerians obviously don't! Kmt |
juman:co sign, give him 1 year. . . . .non performance. Riot his ass out of office!! why would he get a leaner cabinet when they are busy partying and buying 1million naira curtains?? |
I think its about time people begin to realize that neither jonathan nor the group of elitist governments that have been presiding over Nigeria the past 5 years give a toss about anybody but themselves. They will rather sell you all out to a pac of wolves than miss out on a big party! |
so is nobody going to answer the ops question?? are you all going to start preaching and praying?? what is wrong with you people gan sef? i don tire for nigerians! kmt abeg op go and google it and let me know the results! also- dont firms like pwc and the likes take NYSC?? |
abialic: |
muslims are not the problem. . . . the problem is having muslims and giving them POWER! It has been done in Nigeria and cannot be reversed. So the solution to that is giving them what they want. Thier own state to rule and kill themselves according to Allah's rule as they please. I dont see why the rest of Nigeria has to be pulled back 1000years because of them, they arent special. They make no economic contribution to the country. They have the highest rates of old age diseases. These people still catch and spread infections and parasites thought to be eradicated by the UN. to top this off they dont mix and dont want to accept religious and cultural differences. They dont even understand that its the rest of Nigeria that supports thier style of living. They have no appreciation at all! Ive tried to embrace them as part of Nigeria but abeg. Let them go we really dont need them. |
^^ even when ur 50?? lol i like that! |
^^ owshe! lol |
this is why the country should be divided. they are obviously being funded/trained by terrorist groups. Nigeria doesnt need that |
We dont need 36 ministers- thats why we have governors. We need to stop 'politically appointing' key regulators of Nigerias economy! We need to start employing them permanantly on merit and have a completely independant body made of of specialists of each field (economists, foreign policy, mineral resource, commerce) voting and decidinf key changes in each ministry. That way we have a community of people collectively choosing in the best interests of the country rather than the rich 30%. Politicians shouldnt be able to appoint anybody except for direct members of thier party ,that will be paid and regulated by an independant inec (to avoid party members exploiting public funds) The system needs a complete makeover- but the law and constitution still needs to be respected. At least lest us solidify the legal system so we can bring all the past cheif robbers of Nigeria (obasanjo) to justice! |
Lol yes i know what a postcode crime is. Its nothing to do with the phone. Its just their type of warfare against one another- |
kandiikane:the question is, if a group of knife wielding thugs stole your phone will you take some girls to retrieve it?? will you really? |
I dont think we should wait for jonny to complete his 4 years before we decide if he hasnt performed. Give him a year or 2, if he hasnt substantially delivered. He needs to go! by fire or by force!!! |
so are people sympathetic because hes nigerian?? you wanna go and check the number of nigerians currently in British prison for murder better still look up the ones on trial, and even check the crime lists! kandiikane:yea but he brought his friends?? and he knew the people that stole his phone. Sounds like another postcode crime! |
ogugua88:LOL as if it makes a difference! fact is they exist, ive shown you they exist. Im not backing the posters claims. Im just confirming the existence of the pills. |
^^ your more than right, parties shouldnt be deregistered. But then again if they are being funded by the government what is the solution? |
I agree with Jesus. Can somebody create a comprehensive list with figures on what bthe govt is currently subsidising who exactly these subsidies are benefiting and a comparison with how things will be if subsidies are lifted. Im dissapointed in the govt sponsored pilgramage scheme (if this is true) thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard. The govt needs to get its priorities in order pronto! |
