If we borrow $10billion USD to fix power alone, thats N4trillion naira and we start having constant electricity are we telling ourselves as a nation that N4trillion / 200m citizens = N20,000... each citizen of Nigeria cant pay 20,000 naira back withing 5 years of the loan tenures?

with just only 24/7 electricity, fast internet and freelancing sites accross the globe, i see millions of Nigerian youths become very succesfull, Many Country would bring down their customer care to Nigeria instead of India because we speak better english, company would patronize our graphic designers, content developers, programers and other skills we have in excess and this is billions in our pocket... even if we open garment factories with electric taloring machines and tailors, we can mass produce designer cloths for big brands and ship it to other african countries

I think China is more threatened than the U.S do you know how many U.S military bases surrounding China in that region? Bases with missiles pointed at China. Have you read about "U.S pivot to Asia"? America sees China as a rising military and economic power and that is making America uncomfortable and restless. America does not want any country to replace her so they feel China should be contained and China has said it does not have a vision for world domination. The main reason China is building artificial islands in the south China sea is to counter any U.S naval armada approaching China because China has a history of maritime invasions and i believe they are wise to have done that.

Japan

China is not a threat to Japan. Japan is just being paranoid. During WW2 imperial Japanese military invaded China and committed so many atrocities against the Chinese people. Read "Nanjing/nanking massacre" The Chinese were slaughtered in their thousands if not millions.,their women were raped and used as comfort women for the imperial Japanes forces. please read about the horrors the Chinese people experienced at the hands of these monstrous Japanese but that was when China was weak it won't happen anymore. The main reason Japan is so paranoid today is because they still feel China would one day avenge the horrors they did to them during WW2. That's why the country is trying to change it's pacifist constitution so it can build a military that's on par with that of China.

HongKong

O yes China owns HK. It just that they operate a different system of government but over the years China has seen western interference in the affair of the country. The aim of America, Britain is to reduce China's sphere of influence in the region even if it means a Hong Kong with total independence from China and China will do everything possible to avoid that.

India

China and India have had fraught relations in the past over their Himalayan border read "Sino Indian War" they still throw insult over it to this day. America sees India as another military power that can help her to contain the rise of China, India knows this too and she is treading with caution because she does not want to be caught in between two superpowers.

Taiwan
China wants to take Taiwan because she sees it a break away region. Read about the relationship that existed between them before and after the 1949 communist revolution in China how Chinese deposed leader Chiang Kai Chek fled China and went to Taiwan to setup a government there.

Other South east asian countries don't like China's dominance in the region and they are not ready to join U.S in its confrontation with China.

China does not have a vision for world domination it has 1.4 billion population to cater for. While America keeps building expensive military bases around the world the Chinese keep cementing their economic relations with different countries of the world. You talked about African countries being in a debt trap. Did the Chinese force the debt on you people? No be una approach them for loans.

The Politicians tend to pounce on these differences to get vote....
We all see the issues in India between Hindus and Muslims.. Between Northern and Southern Indians....Coupled with the caste system and Racial diversities..
Nigeria has more than 200 ethnic groups, different languages ,with most of the languages having different dialects...
Animosity between the Muslims and Christains...The three Main Regions distrust each other ....
Same Thing.with Brazil having characteristics of Nigeria and India..
..my conclusion is that it's very difficult to build an inclusive society with these multiple divisions in a country...

With Corruption and weakend institutions....this leads to a private and public sector that is not accountable to the public, high unemployment, lack of govt innovation.. bureaucracy..poor business friendly environments all stiffles the growth of the economy...and when this happens , surge in crime lays in wait..

India has one of the highest rape cases in the world..
Nigeria is something else..Human life is not valued..you fear the security agents, you also fear the criminals..
