Those areas look better than Ibadan - so whatever point you're trying to make, you're not making it.

No development is not measured by landmass but I am just telling you Enugu cannot lace the shoes of Ibadan in anything.

I haven't shown you pictures of Ibadan yet. I still want to upload more brown roof pictures of Enugu.

Then I will show you what they call infrastructures and buildings and how Ibadan city actually looks like.

Of course there is brown roofs in Ibadan and that is called the Old quarters. It is like that in all state in Nigeria. But the better part of ibadan is almost 3times the whole Enugu city.

This is Enugu city!
In Igboland there's 100s of new infrastructure projects currently going on. Housing projects in Enugu alone, is larger than what pertains in all of Yorubaland. That's the process of development. Within two or three decades, the developed areas will envelope the poorer areas. Whereas in Ibadan, there's no sign of development, at all. Building a flyover or main road is not development, if people are forced to defecate outside.

Make sure the pictures of these good Ibadan areas are from Google Earth.

I'm waiting.

Shut up and show us the real Enugu.

The city is just a little bit bigger than 2 local government in Ibadan.
Yes, and Ibadan is larger than London. But London has a larger economy than Nigeria. What point are you making? That development can be measured by landmasshuh

I am ready for them tonight. Enugu is an eyesore. It is even a small city from Google Earth and yet brown roof covered almost half.
You're not ready for anything, the more you post pictures, the more you prove my point. Which is, that you think Ibadan is an eyesore. Because the poor areas of Enugu look better than any the so-called good areas in Ibadan. I could very easily show them, but I'm too old for that.

Instead, I prefer to give you the opportunity to showcase the middle class of Ibadan.

Do you see how urbanized that Iwo Road video of Ibadan you showed is? That is what is called a city.

But that is not even the best part of Ibadan at all.

Now let's keep showing Enugu.

Enugu is just 1/5 of Ibadan size, and even the brown roof covered it by almost half.
Ibadan is larger than London, is it not. Size/Land mass means very little, what's most important is what lies on it.

There is a difference between Enugu and the city of Enugu. You can't start comparing Ibadan, which is the capital of Oyo State, to random villages and towns in Enugu. You got to compare the cities to each other. Which is what I'm doing. Those videos are of the city, which anyone with eyes that can see, will know look far more developed than anywhere in Ibadan.

Most of Ibadan is a slum, with dilapidated buildings with minimal infrastructure. No running water in any of these buildings, which means people defecate outside:

No sane human being calls that development.

Shut up. All of Enugu city is just 214.3 sq miles, and almost half of it is covered with brownroofs. Ibadan city alone is 1189 sq miles. That is almost 5 times the size of Enugu.

See Enugu Below.
Well, let's have a mature civilised discussion, and you show me the opulence of Ibadan?

You must be desperate to show me a video of a village, and Nsukka.

Again, you didn't answer my question. No where in Nigeria is developed. In fact, nowhere in Africa is developed, every city, state or country has its poor areas. That's not my point. My point is, where is the identifiable middle class in these so-called richer states. If Ibadan has so little poor, then there should be a slew of rich and/or middle class people living there, like there is all across Igboland.

Show me them - that's what I'm asking you.

No point trying to magnify the poorer communities in Enugu, because they are small - many of which have been and continue to be knocked down. Where do we see slum clearance going on in Yorubaland?

Here's more Enugu:

So you don’t know what is called politics? Ebonyi is the poverty capital of the south and the Ebonyi Governor is not even shying away from the fact.

Infact not only Ebonyi, SouthEast generally are the poverty capital of the south. It has been like that since the 1950s and nothing changed till today.
You didn't answer my question. If we are so poor, why do we receive the least amount of government assistance. How are poor people able to own businesses throughout the length and breadth of Nigeria. If Igbo states are so poor, why is it, that they are the only states in Nigeria with identifiable middle class communities. All these other states (excluding SS), just have a sea of poor communities, with a few large homes dotted here and there.

Show me the equivalent of such housing in Yorubaland:

If Enugu is so poor, why is there so much infrastructure development going on in the state:

Stop defending a pure case of woeful performance. My Igbo people will leave their base and scatter in different other places with their business. And whenever you hear them make noise, it's all about what buhari is doing, what El Rufai is doing in Kaduna, what Lagos governor is doing, how Kano governor puts dollars in his pocket etc.

They don't care about how Ikpeazu and Theordo Orji have governed Abia state, how Ugwuanyi is ruling Enugu state is never their problem. Again, don't even try to convince them why Orji uzo Kalu must remain in prison for fraud he committed. Because to them, he should be free because he is not the only one who has stolen before, any Igbo person arrested for corruption is being victimized because he is Igbo and a Christian. These are the kind of arguments you will be hearing from people who claim they are better exposed and educated. Yet, everything about us keep getting worse day in day out.
Do you even know what development is?

If you want to see how good or bad governance is, in Igboland, then you look at REAL development indices. Not things like IGR, which in reality mean nothing. During the recession, didn't Obiano cancel tax, for the entire year? https://nairametrics.com/2016/09/21/anambra-state-eases-tax-burden-on-grassroot-citizens/

Ebonyi is the poverty capital of the South. Borno generates more IGR than Ebonyi is the koko.

If you like type from today till next year, it doesn’t change the fact that Ebonyi is poorer than Borno state.

QED.

So you know the Ibos don’t pay taxes but you all shout you’re the one contributing to Lagos taxes. How will you guys that can’t pay taxes in your states suddenly turned new leaf to start paying taxes in Lagos.

Unfortunately for you guys, Lagos taxes generates 70% of their IGR from PAYE. That showed the 2by2 Igbo shops and gala hawkers in Lagos are as useless as the P in psychology.

Borno best Ebonyi. QED!
If Igboland is so poor, why do so few people meet the requirements for the conditional cash transfer? Real development starts at the grassroots, with things like education, water access, healthcare delivery, mortality rates etc.

All the things that Igboland beats all the other states at. When it comes to education, there's no comparison between Ebonyi and Borno State, unless you're inferring that Nigeria is the only place on planet earth, where the uneducated are wealthier than the educated.

Some of these arguments are so wishful. Why do people like yourself, have such a vested interest in telling Igbo people how poor they are?
PoliticsRe: Borno Leads Ebonyi On NBS Ranking Of States IGR Of 2019 by rdokoye: 2:15am On May 24, 2020
IGR has absolutely nothing to do with poverty. In the case of Borno, almost everyone works in the public sector, given the low level of education, that's why it's IGR is higher than a state like Ebonyi, where a larger portion of its population have SMEs, and they pay very little tax. The same is the case in all the Igbo states.

Because Igbo states have much larger private sectors, it also means that the state governments have more money to spend on capital infrastructure. Which accounts for the large infrastructure development in the state of Ebonyi. Compared to a state like Ogun, which has huge recurring expenditure, and very little money to spend on infrastructure development.

If Almajiri are not allowed in SE what about hundreds of thousands of igbos who leave Abia, Imo, Enugu etc to seek better life in North
So we should allow poor Northern beggars to wander our land because Igbo people run legitimate businesses in the North.

How about equity. We run businesses in their land, they do the same in Igboland. If either group is unable to take care of themselves, they should be put on a bus and sent back to their next of kin.

Truth be told, these are NOT economic migrants! Nor are they Almajiri kids.

Which economic migrants leave the cities where there is work and go into the forests where they will live, strategize and launch their operation from? Now another f00l will say because they want to live in Igbo forests and eat fruits for survival. Now, tell me if there are not similar forests in Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa or Kogi?

It's a tragedy that some of our governors still fail to realize what is currently happening is a build-up of northern fighters in our villages and states as a prelude to their attack of the region.
If they attack us in our own land, they'll be massacred. They are grossly outnumbered, 20+ million to a few thousand. They might be uneducated but they're not brainless.

I think they're coming for food. They probably heard about Igbo people giving out food to their people in towns and villages and so are heading there for survival sake.

It's not like Borno State where they have millions of potential recruits. In Igboland all they have are those they can fit on a truck and then, attacking Igboland would surely fracture the country. Something they do not want to happen.

I got a feeling that all this videos of almajiris are being set-up,possibly to defame the northern region.Or are the northerners so daft and dumb that they think they can cross the border without getting caught?
The Northerner governors are to blame, with their ad hoc approach to curtailing the coronavirus. They've essentially abandoned the poor in their land, put them on buses and trucks and directed them back to nowhere. That's why many of them are migrating South, I guess they think they can find salvation there. But begging and loitering is not the culture in Southern Nigeria, especially not in Igboland. Their behaviour is considered an offence, to the land they are moving into.

They're not against dominating Igbo people though. They just want to benefit from whatever it is we have to offer.

We offer religious and political balance to the country. We also generate funds for Lagos, which is the only livable city/state in the SW.

This landlocked argument is supposed to act as a deterrent. To make us change our minds about leaving Nigeria. Since there are no real benefits to being a part of Nigeria, they've chosen to focus on our perceived disadvantages and have fixated on it.

This project has nothing to do with Buhari, it's not a federal project it's a private investment, carried about by indigenous people of the land.

This project is the result of a Think Home programme of Obiano and the growing popularity for the actualisation of Biafra.

The federal government can only receive credit for federal projects and not the level of competence of the governor or the level of capacity of the state.

Only Igboland has the capacity to build new cities without FDI. That's why every state in the region is building new ones.

Everywhere in Igboland is being built up, just because people like to show 10 year old pictures of Aba over and over again, it doesn't mean the place isn't being redeveloped, because it is.
